“We had to leave Nene and Scrappy with Jonisha and her family for a weekend while we were traveling, and once again, we did so with complete peace of mind, knowing they would be well cared for and loved. This time, Nene had a small rash on her back left leg that required the application of topical ointment twice daily. Jonisha and her family not only assured us they would handle it but went above and beyond by putting a soft cone on Nene to prevent her from licking the hot spot. Their attentiveness and care truly exceeded our expectations. As usual, Jonisha and her family kept us updated with lots of videos and pictures. It warmed my heart to see how well-cared-for and at ease Nene and Scrappy were. They fit right in with Jonisha’s family and her two dogs. The videos showed them outside, romping around and active, while the pictures captured them snuggling and resting together, as well as with Jonisha and her family members. Knowing that they were so loved and happy gave me immense comfort. Once again, Jonisha and her family delivered exceptional care. We couldn’t be happier with them and wouldn’t dream of entrusting Nene and Scrappy to anyone else. I have volunteered at multiple shelters and Veterinarian offices I’ve the years, and have worked at a Doggy Daycare. About: I've taken care of many pets ever since I was a little girl. Always had pets in the house, dogs, cats, even guinea pigs and a mouse. I also used to volunteer as a kid at my camp to work with the animals in the stables like the goats, bunnies, and brushing the horses. As I got older my love for animals never wavered, so I went to high school and I majored in agricultural sciences and spent my first summer there on our land-lab taking care of not only an arrange of animals, but plants as well. I also volunteered at a pet store near my high school caring for stray animals that were brought in, and at one point a bunch of baby kittens, alongside my best friend. My family and I started our pet sitting Journey when we used to live out in Florida, it's been almost 2 years now, since moving back to New York City . We have gotten the chance to sit many furry four legged friends, and now I have two of our own. We would still love the opportunity to continue to caring for other's pets as well. My kids and I used to feed and give love to some of the strays we'd see in our neighborhood, back in Florida( unofficial cat lady lol 😅 ). We cannot wait to care for your furry, four legged family member. Home is well air conditioned, space to accommodate a crate if you have, and will be able to give walks around area, or nearby park. You can rest assured your pet will get lots of love and attention, as my children LOVE animals as much as I do, and jump to the opportunity to assist me with them I'm currently working part-time, so I am usually able to give walks in the morning, and in the evening after 6:00 p.m. However, on my days off, I can give walks at least three times a day. I would be able to work out a schedule that might be accommodating for the both of us. I would prefer to have them dropped off during the evening's, after 7pm. We adopted a Maltese/ Silky terrier mix dog(female), and a Chihuahua/ Terry mix dog (male). I use our bedrooms (mine and the kids) to place them in, to accommodate while the other dog is out. Or, we can use the backyard or crate.

About: I have had multiple dogs of various breeds over the last 20 years. I have been responsible for being a nurturing dog sitter for over 5+ years. Dogs are friends to me and spending time with them makes me happy. I am very good at making dogs feel safe, loved, and cared for. I am available almost all day every day aside from Thursday and Wednesday's 9-5. Essentially even then I am pretty flexible so feel free to reach out. I have a fenced yard as well as two adorable dogs that utilize it for outside running and bathroom space. The dogs are let out to run as the please however I keep my eyes on them until it is time to be brought back inside.
“Marika was always on time and communicative throughout this entire process. This is the first time I’ve used something like this and she made the experience easy. I was away, but my mother was here to stay with kennedy, and according to her experience, she said she came on time and really did take care of the dog during his walks. He would be very excited when he saw her through the window and ready to start his walk with her. And when he came back, he was tired a lot more calm than he’s been especially for being six months it was really impressive. She’s definitely someone I’m gonna reconsider hiring again if I need her for this type of situation. Also would like to point out that we loss his poop bag holder and she replaced it free of charge with one she had at home. Which she didn’t have to do. But I still appreciate so much.”
About: I have lived in an animal loving home and have the utmost respect to animal lovers. As I love my own animals and care for them daily. I’m currently working part time but have just enough time to cater to your animal needs! I’m available Sunday-Fridays! And very flexible with time when needed. I care for my dog by feeding her night and morning and taking her on 2-3 walks a day with playtime in the middle. I also cater to my four cats feeding and playing with them.

About: I’ve worked at the Brooklyn zoo and aquarium in Brooklyn as a teen. Then worked my way to volunteering at my local animal shelter. I’ve always had a love for animals. Now I foster dogs and cats till they find their forever homes. Even family and friends ask me to watch their pets on occasion. “We had to leave Nene and Scrappy with Jonisha and her family for a weekend while we were traveling, and once again, we did so with complete peace of mind, knowing they would be well cared for and loved. This time, Nene had a small rash on her back left leg that required the application of topical ointment twice daily. Jonisha and her family not only assured us they would handle it but went above and beyond by putting a soft cone on Nene to prevent her from licking the hot spot. Their attentiveness and care truly exceeded our expectations. As usual, Jonisha and her family kept us updated with lots of videos and pictures. It warmed my heart to see how well-cared-for and at ease Nene and Scrappy were. They fit right in with Jonisha’s family and her two dogs. The videos showed them outside, romping around and active, while the pictures captured them snuggling and resting together, as well as with Jonisha and her family members. Knowing that they were so loved and happy gave me immense comfort. Once again, Jonisha and her family delivered exceptional care. We couldn’t be happier with them and wouldn’t dream of entrusting Nene and Scrappy to anyone else. It’s clear they treat our dogs as if they were their own, and that level of love and dedication means the world to us.
