“I would like to start by saying, in general I am a skeptical person who does not trust people with my dog because like others, my dog is my child. With that being said, I needed a dog sitter short notice while I went on a family vacation to Africa and prior arrangements fell through. Hesitant, I knew that a sitter would be best for me because I didn’t like the idea of boarding him at a facility. My dog weighs 4 lbs and is still a puppy, he seeks love and companionship. About: For the past 4 years, I have volunteered at an animal shelter where I worked with both dogs and cats. With dogs, I have experience with all ages, ranging from 5 week old puppies to senior dogs. I have walked and played with dogs who were the most outgoing and loving dogs, as well as the more fearful ones who needed a little extra attention before opening up to me. I have received training in understanding dog behaviors as well as how to interact with more stressed and fearful dogs, leaving me confident to care for all types of dogs. I also volunteered to take some dogs out of the shelter for one night and care for them at my apartment so they can destress out of their kennels, which gave me experience house sitting multiple types of dogs. At home I also have 2 senior pets I care for, a 12 year old Brittany dog and an 11 year old cat. They’re both incredibly sweet and remind me every day why I love caring for animals. However, during the summer I don't work full time so I have plenty of time to care for your pets! I am free anytime during the week for house sitting, dog walking, or just dropping in to visit your pet. When caring for a pet in a client's home, I will make sure to confirm all household rules that apply to their pet before starting. About: Most notably, I have worked for Dan's Pet Care as a dog walker in Manhasset for 6 months. I would walk dogs, sometimes feed them, give them water, give them medication, pick up and drop them off to and from the petcare center if asked to. To put it shortly, I have lots of experience with new dogs. About: Currently I've been fostering dogs for about a year now, the youngest I have done is 3 months old. I also own 3 cats of my own so I get the best of both worlds. :) Currently I am not working so my availability is open! If it is not overnight pet sitting I generally will not do the nighttime depending on how late it is, but it can be negotiated if needed. For my foster dogs I walk them usually 4 times a day and let them run around in my yard to get their zoomies out. I like to spend time with them to make sure they feel loved giving them toys and treats and lots of pets too. For my cats, I love to spend time with them too! I play with them just the same and absolutely love petting them and being nearby!
About: I’ve looked after dogs of all types of dogs. Small, large, fluffy, skinny, you name it. Also love cats and looking after them as well. Would love to expand my horizons to other, less conventional pets some day. Maybe reptiles… I have lived with one or more pets consistently for more than half my life. About: Hi! I’m Gracie, I have been caring for doggos my whole life and never intend on stoping. I grew up in a house with five dogs, and now have my own fur baby. I am very comfortable with all types of dogs and the messes that come with them. I can handle almost any personality and can trick any dog into loving me. I myself have a very anxious pup who is terrified of many noises. Walking and daily activates require more patience and attention than usual. I am happy to adapt and to whatever makes your pets most comfortable. I’m currently working full time. I am free all day on Fridays and anytime on weekends until 8pm to walk your dogs. I've taken care of many friends and family dogs throughout the years when their owners would go on vacations. I have experience taking care of multiple dogs at once where I walked them, played, and fed their pets for many weeks. I finally found my forever furend, Romeo who is now a 7-month-old pomsky! Romeo is playful and loving. He will be a great companion to your furry friend during their stay with us! I am working from home and I am very flexible on taking your pets on walks throughout the day. I have a private rooftop I can bring them to, a nice quiet neighborhood area to walk around and there is a dog park 25 minutes away. Any and all instructions you leave for me will be followed with the utmost care to keep your little buddy happy! My daycare services are from 9 am - 6 pm daily; the cut-off time for boarding services is by 6 pm daily. My dog-friendly apartment building has a private balcony where your fur baby can enjoy the fresh breeze throughout the day. I also have an amazing, beautiful rooftop that has fake grass where your pet will enjoy running around! I have provided a photo of the gorgeous private rooftop below. I have a spacious 2 bedroom apartment that is clean, mopped, and vacuumed daily. Your pet will have a private and quiet area to rest and spend their day happily!
“Eric was an amazing sitter to my baby, Ruby! I just recently moved to NY and had to find a sitter for a trip that had been planned before I moved here. I would have never gone on this trip had I not found Eric. Ruby was so happy around him and from all the pictures I received, I could tell she was having a great time with him. He helped her socialize with other dogs, which was very necessary since the place where we lived previously didn't have many dogs around, he took her to the park to play and on the rainy days, they just hung out at home and cuddled. Her favorite thing ever! He was very loving and kind toward her and I know she's made a friend for life. I will definitely be contacting Eric in the future when I need someone to watch my baby again.
