Caring for dogs has been a part of my life since childhood, My first dog was a beagle, and ever since then I’ve understood that dogs are much more than pets—they’re family and I’ve always been the person friends, family, and former coworkers trust to help with their pets. I’m also an active triathlete, which means I love staying outdoors and exercising. For dogs with higher energy levels, I can incorporate light jogging and extended walks (based on the owner’s preferences and the dog’s comfort level) to help keep them physically and mentally stimulated. I'm currently running a full- time business. So I have availability 2 full days throughout the week. 8 hr blocks. I'm all about communication, so we can always discuss what works best for your pup. I will not be offering these kind of services, i currently just offer walking/running services. I take great passion in doing this because I feel dogs need the extra exercise. I love triathlons for a reason, I think Dogs need some moving too.

Between experiences with my own rescue dogs, working and volunteering in animal shelters, being lead supervisor at a doggie daycare/boarding facility, pet photography, and several years in the pet retail industry, I’ve worked with dogs of all breeds, ages, sizes, and experiences. I’m currently working part-time, so I have plenty of flexibility to help out with your four-legged friend! While my schedule varies from week to week, I always have the time to help you and your dog. I can easily crate dogs if need be, and can give medication to even the pickiest of eaters. I have no issues with getting dogs leashed, including getting them into harnesses or head-halters.

“Ocean and Blue had the best time with Kayla’s family - they took wonderful care of both dogs and kept all their little quirks in mind. My dogs can be reactive with stranger animals and can also show signs of possessiveness around food and toys, but Kayla’s family were very mindful of this and gave us regular updates even when we weren’t able to respond much. Kayla’s kids are also absolutely wonderful with animals and the parents do a great job of educating and guiding them around each dog’s personalities.
