About: i've had dogs throughout my life. i had three darling maltese of my own as i was good friends with a maltese breeder and got my dogs through her. i can't remember loving anything more. dogs have brought much peace and happiness to my life and while i'm not quite ready for the responsibility again, i feel i need them in my life, so caring for someone else's furbaby is a great answer for me. i'm mostly retired at this point and home all day so a pet routine is a piece of cake for me. i love taking them with me wherever i go too if that's good with you. * please note* if you contact me late in the evening i will not respond till the next morning. thanks for your understanding. i have an apartment and a roof top deck where dogs can relieve themselves. for exercise, there are several very friendly dog parks near my neighborhood. i also play catch with them in my home, if they're small enough! :-)

About: I believe animals are good for the human soul. I was a pet owner myself for 10 years before my beloved poodle passed away. A huge void was left in my life. Although I wasn't ready to replace him, I decided to first take care of my friends and family dogs. Base on their recommendation, I provided my services to neighbors. From there, many of the dogs that come to stay with me either for a couple of hours to a couple of weeks come from customers' friends. If you need recommendations, or references please let me know and I'll make sure to provide you with the name and phone number of clients I had in the past. Please send me a message or a text if you have any questions or concerns even before you booked your service. Available to provide bathroom breaks every 4 hours however, pups must be able to stay alone up to 4 hours as I do work away from home during the weekdays only. I have an extra large crate. I can crate your pup if needed. In addition, even if I step away from my home I have a furbo to keep an eye on my sweet pups that stay with me. I currently only pet sit during the weekends because I work during the week and I like to provide a lot of attention to my fur friends. Once my schedule gets a bit more flexible this may change. Pet safety is my highest priority. Therefore, since I have a sweet puppy of my own, I always make sure I only pet sit one dog at a time. In addition, during feeding time, pets are separated.

Volunteered 1200 hours- cleaned cages, helped adoptions run smoothly, fed animals, worked with supervisor to keep rescue updated online, edited rescue's website, took pictures and posted them, and trained new volunteers. About: I have grown up my whole life with dogs - big and small! I was currently taking care of my Havanese dog Button who made it to her 18th birthday. I am very familiar with the senior care needs if that’s something you are looking for - I do understand the nerves, the needs, the extra attention - I completely get it if you are someone who needs help in that area. We also have a dog bed here, pet wipes, & box of toys! I do remote work at home and have a very flexible schedule. I like to take my daily walks around the neighborhood and would be happy to help get your dog some fresh air and stretch their legs if they need it or even a mid day check in for your pet! My husband Patrick also works from home some days - some days in office so there is someone at home at most times. He also loves pets and we welcome any pet! My older dog Button lived with my husband & I and stayed indoor mostly to rest since she was a bit older - the biggest safety trick I had for her are steps to the couch and bed to help with her joints and muscles. We also had grippy socks on her, medicine to administer, someone with her all the time, we also had a sling so we could take her everywhere.

“Michael took excellent care of Rocky. He listened to all of Rocky's needs, let me know when anything needed to be adjusted, gave recommendations for things to bring, and took great care of my dog. Michael also took pictures of Rocky and sent them to me so I knew Rocky was happy and healthy while my wife and I were away in Colorado. If you need affordable and excellent dog care in NYC, I would recommend meeting up with Michael.”

Euitae was responsive and so so attentive and caring for my senior guy, Jack, taking Jack for lots of walks and adventures in the park, and even a dog café where Jack got to make new friends. “Tamara was actively engaged with our 2 Westies and took excellent care of them. She kept us informed of their activities with notes on what they were doing, how they were acting, and sent lots of pictures. They went on walks and got to hang around the house (like they normally do at home! ;) ) I think she really spoiled them (in a good way!). They had a wonderful time with her. We don't go to NYC often, but when we go next time and need a sitter, we'll definitely ask for Tamara again!!! She gets an A+++++ rating!!!”

I was nervous to leave my dog with new people but they offered a meet and greet days in advanced, had me complete a questionnaire on his feeding, preferences, quirks etc. And provided me with daily updates including pictures.
