About: I've taken care of dogs since I was a child. I owned two Miniature Pinschers growing up and I adopted one Australian Shepherd mix that has special needs as an adult. I trained all of my dogs from the time they were puppies until they passed away as seniors. I also volunteered at the Humane Society of Westchester. I've always enjoyed being around animals since I was young and animals tend to feel the same way about me. Animals who are usually timid around strangers are comfortable around me right away and they seem to trust me right away. I feel like connecting with animals (dogs specifically) is a gift that I have. Being a sitter is a great way for me to use that gift in everyday life. New clients get a free 2027 desk calendar that has photos of my clients and my dog as well (check my photos for a preview). I'm able to adapt to the normal routine of the pets that I'm sitting in order to make the process as smooth as possible. I don't have a lot of room in my studio apartment so I'm only able to watch either 1-2 small dogs or one medium sized dog. Large dogs are too big for my apartment. If I'm at a client's home, I'll change my schedule to meet the needs of the pet. I believe all animals are unique and all have different needs in order to thrive in the environment that they're in. I'm willing to meet those needs by building my schedule around the animals that I'm sitting.

She made sure Maddie got plenty of relief breaks, especially on the very miserable days of rain, and Barbara’s home at the end of a no exit street meant Maddie was always safe. Rainy days were spent curled up on the sofa, and there were treats too. There were walks in the forest and by the river, which Maddie loves. Maddie clearly enjoyed her 3 days, enabling us to sight see in NYC without worry. Generously, Barbara dropped us at the rail station when she collected Maddie, and picked us up again. She was really flexible with my dates, which I couldn’t confirm until the last minute, and even then had to alter them. She was also friendly, chatty and warm, a pleasure to meet her.”

About: I grew up in a dog-centric household, however I have taken care of my own dogs for the past 19 years. For the last 8 years, I've had the opportunity to foster dogs through different organizations, as well. The foster dogs that I cared for ranged from puppies to senior dogs and included numerous different breeds. This basically means that I'm available to provide care in whatever capacity needed beginning from late morning until the evening and any day Whenever a dog is my responsibility I make a point of giving them the care and attention that they require. I'm available to walk any pup beginning from late morning into the evening, including multiple times a day. I currently live in a house with 3 acres and a huge back yard with forest surrounding it, so it is not fenced. However, I'm more than happy to walk your dog if there's a fear that they will run into the forest. I'm also open to dog-sitting for anyone going on vacation! Our house is set up to accommodate dogs visiting and staying due to my previous fostering, which is how I came to have my two current dogs. Also, I'm a firm believer in positive reinforcement to teach dogs acceptable behavior and manners, so no punishments that may traumatize or hurt the pup!

For two years, we gave him daily injections to maintain his health as best we could. When I began life outside of my childhood home, I adopted a lion head rabbit that lived long enough to become my children’s first pet. While I was living in Queens, New York, I spent a year dog walking and pet sitting around Astoria and Long Island City. My responsibilities included individual and group dog walks, in-home care for elderly and special needs dogs and cats, cat care, litter box/wee wee pad changing, and feeding. I am currently a stay at home mom and freelance writer, so my schedule is very flexible between the hours of 8am and 3pm while my children are at school. As a cat mom, I understand how important safety is when it comes to animal care. From the moment I walk into the house, keeping your pet safe is my priority. During my time with your pet, I will do my due diligence to make sure your pet is safe and happy from harnessing and leashing, through the walk, and finally my departure. I know the importance of staying alert on walks, constantly taking in the environment for any potential dangers from other animals, people, and vehicles.
About: I've had cats and dogs my whole life and know how to make animals feel comfortable and cared for. I offer dog walking and cat boarding from my home in Yorktown Heights. Guest cats stay in their own private room with fresh food, water, and a clean litter box. For dog walking I keep things low stress, consistent, and fun. I work from home regularly so I'm around often and take every pet's routine seriously. I treat every animal like my own. I work from home frequently which means pets in my care are never left alone for long stretches. For dog walking I'm flexible on timing and can work around your schedule for morning, afternoon, or evening walks. For cat boarding, guest cats get visits multiple times a day including morning feeding, a midday check-in, and an evening wind-down with fresh food, clean water, and a scooped litter box. Weekends I'm generally very available and weekdays I can accommodate most requests with a little advance notice. I genuinely enjoy spending time with and meeting new animals so this isn't a job to me, it's a passion. I have a dog and two cats of my own so I know firsthand what animals need to feel safe and comfortable. Guest cats are kept in their own private, dedicated room completely separate from my resident pets, giving them a quiet space to decompress and settle in at their own pace. For dog walking I keep things calm and consistent, always on leash, through the safe residential streets of Yorktown Heights or local parks where my dog frequents himself. I pay close attention to each animal's personality and adjust my approach accordingly. Whether a pet is social and energetic or shy and cautious, I make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. My home is peaceful, clean, and genuinely pet friendly.
About: I adore animals and like to treat everyone as if it’s my own. I have been pet sitting throughout college and post grad for about 5 years now. About: I’ve grown up with dreams of becoming a vet since a child but turned to another career path that grabbed my heart strongly. I still love animals and baby sit my friends pets anytime they need being that I work from home. I’ve been a dog owner of a lovely female yorkie for 5 years and a female pitbull for 10 months. They aren’t my pets they are my children! I do care for dogs in heat as well being that I have a female pitt as well & have extensive experience. Dogs are such loveable companions and smart as well.
