About: I have been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember and have been pet-sitting since age 10 for family, friends, and neighbors. I have almost always lived with at least one cat or dog (or both!) throughout my life. I also have experience caring for rabbits, ferrets, gerbils, fish, parakeets, bearded dragons, and cockatiels. I currently live with two indoor tortoiseshell cats who are comfortable with dogs, and one of my cats is leash-trained. I have raised and trained at least 11 dogs from puppies to adulthood (3 as my own and the others for my parents). Most of my cats I adopted as teenagers, but I have raised a few kittens from a young age. I have done extensive dog training with the 3 dogs I raised as my own in the past, and I am familiar with both dog and cat training techniques. I live in a cabin the woods in Boston, NY, on a power line gravel road. Although I do not have a fenced in back yard, your dog will enjoy going on leashed walks down the power line road multiple times per day! I earn a living through a mix of substitute teaching (summer starts June 25th!), remote research and writing gigs, tutoring, child care, and pet care. I have a flexible schedule and incorporate pet care into the mix as much as possible because I love animals. If I am boarding a dog at my home, I will not be house sitting at that time (and vice versa). While boarding or house sitting, I will consider dog walking and drop-ins depending on the needs of the client and driving distance. If you board your dog at my home, my cats and I wake up early (about 6am) and I like to go outside for a walk down the power line road right away, and then eat breakfast. Your dog will be able to spend time with me all day (on a leash when we are outside), and if I need to leave my house, they will be in their crate for no more than 4 hours (2 is my strong preference). We will go for at least one more walk before dinner, too. I will be sure to give them plenty of play time and exercise throughout the day (depending on their level of activity and how hot it is outside). No matter what, they will get a lot of love and attention! I live in a cabin in the woods in the Town of Boston, NY, so although I do not have a fenced-in yard, there is very little traffic or people around. I will be able to go on long leashed walks with your dog down the power line for exercise, and there are a few friendly neighbor dogs that would love to say hello if your dog is up for that. I do live with two cats: one of them will hide a lot while your dog is here, but the other is very dog-friendly and will want to interact with your dog. I will monitor and separate them as needed (I have a spare room). I have always crate-trained my dogs and so long as your dog is comfortable in their crate, I will use it as a safe place for them to be while they are staying with me.

We’ve used rover before but this is the first time we felt the experience went above and beyond, and we felt confident the whole time not only that Twinkie was safe but that she was possibly having the best week of her life lol! Twinkie had an amazing time playing nonstop with Erika’s dog Huxley, and it’s very clear Erika took excellent care of Twinkie throughout. “I can't say enough about Rory D. Her home was clean, neat, and very organized. She had a separate "bedroom" where Gigi would spend the night and relax when other pets were in the house. During her stay Rory gave Gigi the opportunity to meet and forge a friendship with another cat. I was so pleased! Rory followed all care requests. Rory sent pictures and videos of Gigi throughout her stay. Gigi appeared very content and happy. Gigi was well cared for and healthy when I picked her up at the end of her stay. About: I had had cats my entire life, my first being was Julie who I got at 1 year old and she lived to be just shy of 19. Growing up we rescued and fostered so many cats I couldn’t even begin to count and found them all loving homes. About: I’ve taken care of cats and dogs, since I was a kid. I understand they are your children. I am comfortable giving oral meds, comfortable learning other routes of medication administration if needed. Currently will only board cats from the same home or young puppies (message for more details) at a time due to other animals in the house. Your fur baby will have their very Owen room with a gate door that is about 6ft tall to keep them safe and comfortable when I am not watching them or letting them out for play time. I will follow your set schedule for feedings and play time. If I am boarding an animal they are my soul focus till pick up time. About: My whole life I was never able to have pets up until two years ago which is when I got my first girl, Jojo. She changed my life completely and so I had to get her a sister. My love for them is unmatched and even though I don’t have training what I do have is unconditional love and plenty of free time. I recently resigned from my job so I do not have a work schedule to work around so I am able to give my pets as well as yours all the attention and care that they need. I do have a fenced yard so if they need to go outside for potty or play there is no risk of them running off. I also two dogs at home as previously mentioned but I do have a dog gate inside if your pet needs some alone time. I separate my dogs during meal times and sometimes just to give individual attention. Both my dogs are girls and they are sweet and very playful.

I currently have time to board your pups during the week and on weekends or walk them after 3:30 during week. I could do weekend walks too in the morning. She is very sweet, a big girl at 95lbs but extremely submissive in all situations! She would love a play mate and extra walks! Work from home M-F. About: I used to dog walk a couple dogs. Then I moved onto horses. So I know I can handle the hardest canines. They’re fun to have around. I’m working but also just thinking about doing this instead. Work gets boring and this wouldn’t. I love animals and they tend to love me back. I have a giant yard. They can’t be off leash but we can have fun running in the grass. I have animals that will stay upstairs when the dog or cat is here.

For the months of July and August I am completely free 7 days a week all day long. During the school year, I work as a teacher so I am at work from around 7:30-3:30. However, my evenings and weekends remain completely free. I have a fenced in yard and 2 happy pups to keep your furry friend company! Dogs are allowed on the furniture and I am happy to let them either roam free downstairs or be put in a kennel when I am not home. I have a gate that keeps my dog from going upstairs when I’m not home, so that can be closed at any time during the day too. About: I grew up with cats and my best friend had dogs. I would always help her take care of them and took care of cats as my best friends. When I met my fiancé he had a 5 year old beagle and I fell even more in love with dogs. My dream one day is to open a senior dog sanctuary, but until then, I will take care of my own dogs and help others care for theirs! Maisie is quite wary of new people, but to my delight and surprise, the second day we dropped her off Maisie smiled a doggie smile usually reserved for only three family members (me, my daughter and my husband) and happily rushed to Toktam's front yard gate to see her! About: I have been pet sitting for about 15 years, everything from quick play dates to extended stays lasting over a month. I've worked with a variety of dogs including a 13-year old 4 pound chihuahua, a vizla that required 5 or more hours of solid exercise a day, a 160 pound mastiff that thought he was a lap dog, and a very scared dalmatian/husky/german shepherd mix that needed some serious work on social interations. I've dealt with skunk attacks, bee stings, an intestinal blockage and various types of aggression. I AM NOT CURRENTLY ABLE TO STAY OVERNIGHT DURING SITTINGS. I KEPT IT IN MY PROFILE BECAUSE IT IS LESS EXPENSIVE THAN BOOKING MULTIPLE DROP-INS At the end of last year I ended up taking in 3 Doberman puppies that I had dog sat for regularly. I was able to find a home of one of them but the other two are still with me. Because of this I am not able to do extended stays that require me to be gone overnight or dogs that cannot be left alone for a few hours due to separation anxiety or medical reasons. But if your dog is friendly please consider boarding! I currently work from home with flexible hours most of the time. My schedule is very accommodating and I love being able to take advantage of nice weather or last minute requests. The yard where I am is NOT fenced in, but it is very large with several acres of wooded area in the back. For dogs that need to stay on leash there is a long tie out and plenty of walks. I never let the dogs play outside without supervision. There are two other friendly dogs on the property (in addition to my own 2) and two dogs next-door that come over to play all the time. So we have our own mini, well-mannered, well-socialized dog park.
About: I’ve taken care of, rehomed and have rehabbed dogs for quite a few years. I’ve taken in special needs dogs, and dogs that have had behavioral problems and have worked with them to reach their full potential. I love watching my family and friends animals and give them all of the comfort and loving they need. Oh, and also all of the snuggles! About: I used to dog walk a couple dogs. Then I moved onto horses. So I know I can handle the hardest canines. They’re fun to have around. I’m working but also just thinking about doing this instead. Work gets boring and this wouldn’t. I love animals and they tend to love me back. I have a giant yard. They can’t be off leash but we can have fun running in the grass. I have animals that will stay upstairs when the dog or cat is here.

About: I have been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember and have been pet-sitting since age 10 for family, friends, and neighbors. I have almost always lived with at least one cat or dog (or both!) throughout my life. I also have experience caring for rabbits, ferrets, gerbils, fish, parakeets, bearded dragons, and cockatiels. I currently live with two indoor tortoiseshell cats who are comfortable with dogs, and one of my cats is leash-trained. I have raised and trained at least 11 dogs from puppies to adulthood (3 as my own and the others for my parents). Most of my cats I adopted as teenagers, but I have raised a few kittens from a young age. I have done extensive dog training with the 3 dogs I raised as my own in the past, and I am familiar with both dog and cat training techniques. I live in a cabin the woods in Boston, NY, on a power line gravel road. Although I do not have a fenced in back yard, your dog will enjoy going on leashed walks down the power line road multiple times per day! I earn a living through a mix of substitute teaching (summer starts June 25th!), remote research and writing gigs, tutoring, child care, and pet care. I have a flexible schedule and incorporate pet care into the mix as much as possible because I love animals. If I am boarding a dog at my home, I will not be house sitting at that time (and vice versa). While boarding or house sitting, I will consider dog walking and drop-ins depending on the needs of the client and driving distance. If you board your dog at my home, my cats and I wake up early (about 6am) and I like to go outside for a walk down the power line road right away, and then eat breakfast. Your dog will be able to spend time with me all day (on a leash when we are outside), and if I need to leave my house, they will be in their crate for no more than 4 hours (2 is my strong preference). We will go for at least one more walk before dinner, too. I will be sure to give them plenty of play time and exercise throughout the day (depending on their level of activity and how hot it is outside). No matter what, they will get a lot of love and attention! I live in a cabin in the woods in the Town of Boston, NY, so although I do not have a fenced-in yard, there is very little traffic or people around. I will be able to go on long leashed walks with your dog down the power line for exercise, and there are a few friendly neighbor dogs that would love to say hello if your dog is up for that. I do live with two cats: one of them will hide a lot while your dog is here, but the other is very dog-friendly and will want to interact with your dog. I will monitor and separate them as needed (I have a spare room). I have always crate-trained my dogs and so long as your dog is comfortable in their crate, I will use it as a safe place for them to be while they are staying with me.
