About: I’ve always had pets throughout my lifetime from kitties, dogs, birds, fish, reptiles, squirrels that I hand fed and set free with my father- and many more. I worked in pet stores and help foster kittens when available. 💕 Look forward to meeting you soon. I work part time as a territory supervisor, and my work is flexible. About: I have spent my entire life surrounded by animals of all kind and have always had the love and drive to ensure they have the best life and experiences possible. This love and compassion has led me to volunteering at the SPCA for a number of months, which turned into working there for over 4 years as both an animal care attendant and as a veterinary assistant. In my time there, I have been given the most incredible opportunity to both care for and rehouse hundreds of animals and have even acquired a couple of cats along the way. I am currently in the process of opening my own dog daycare to provide a very loving, caring environment for the dogs to spend their day while their pet parents are away.

Astrid is usually quite anxious when she’s first introduced to a new person and a new environment, but she appeared to be more at ease much quicker with Kate at her house than she typically is. Kate sent us regular pictures and updates, was very flexible about our schedule for pickup and drop-off, prompt and easy to communicate with, and we didn’t worry about Astrid at all. About: I love caring for cats of all ages, from kittens to seniors. I especially love playing with more rambunctious cats. I've lived in several situations with two or more cats in which they had to be slowly introduced or their interactions managed, and I'm confident in reading cats' body language. I think it is so important to be patient with cats and pay attention to their individual wants and needs. My own cat is very calm but cautious with other animals.

About: I have two dachshund of my own! I’ve been hosting for 2 years and would love to continue to do so. Can’t wait to meet your pups! I treat my pets as a part of myself. I make sure they are accommodated. My days aren’t hectic so morning and afternoon+ night routine is established. I have a fenced yard. There’s lots of grass and space for them to run around. So freedom won’t be a problem. I make sure to keep my space free from food and anything chewable.

About: I didn’t get to experience the joy of growing up with dogs or cats but as soon as I was able I began taking in fosters from the NYC shelter system. It was quite a learning experience spending time with many dogs (and a few cats) of all different types and personalities. I no longer foster but I bring the experience and dedication from working with so many shelter pets to caring for your furry family members. And as a pet parent now myself I have been through many sitters so I understand what makes a good one! A note on boarding and meet and greets: I’m happy to have boarding candidates come by to meet me and check out the space but I do not do meet and greets with my own dogs. My dogs are dog friendly but they are too chaotic and excitable to meet new dogs and owners right away. New dogs are kept separate at first and introduced at their own pace when everyone is calm. This minimizes stress for everyone and allows for better interactions. I currently work out of the house Monday/Wednesday/Friday but my schedule is somewhat flexible. The rest of the week I work at home and I am often available all weekend. Dogs in my home have access to a securely fenced large yard for running and fetch, as well as a quiet neighborhood for walks. If the weather is warm dogs have access to a dog door so they may go outside as they please. If your dog likes to play with other dogs mine will certainly be happy to accommodate but they can also have separate spaces if quiet time is needed. In your home I will make every effort to keep your pets schedule as familiar as possible while offering lots of love and stimulation. As someone who has had many sitters come through and stay at my house I understand the importance of trust and cleanliness so you can be away without worry.

People rely on me to take care of their dogs like feed them and bathe them and play with them and walk them and make sure they’re well loved It will only be me working with the dogs, I don’t need any other assistance with other people. Marika took her on lots of walks (with tick check afterwards), sent updates, and her house/backyard space were perfect for an active breed. She went above and beyond when it came to making sure Susie was stimulated, making up little games for her to play with the squirrels and rabbits. About: I have spent my entire life surrounded by animals of all kind and have always had the love and drive to ensure they have the best life and experiences possible. This love and compassion has led me to volunteering at the SPCA for a number of months, which turned into working there for over 4 years as both an animal care attendant and as a veterinary assistant. In my time there, I have been given the most incredible opportunity to both care for and rehouse hundreds of animals and have even acquired a couple of cats along the way. I am currently in the process of opening my own dog daycare to provide a very loving, caring environment for the dogs to spend their day while their pet parents are away.
“Kate has a very warm demeanor and my first impression when I brought our dog Astrid over to her house for a meet and greet before boarding, was that she would care for our dog as if she were her own. Astrid is usually quite anxious when she’s first introduced to a new person and a new environment, but she appeared to be more at ease much quicker with Kate at her house than she typically is. Kate sent us regular pictures and updates, was very flexible about our schedule for pickup and drop-off, prompt and easy to communicate with, and we didn’t worry about Astrid at all. We will certainly reach out to Kate again when planning future boarding accommodations for our sweet Astrid.”

About: I’ve taken care of dogs my entire life since I grew up with them and have owned them. I currently own a shelter baby and he is super sweet. I strive to provide the best care to any and all animals. Currently working part-time as an CNA and I’m a PA student studying for boards in July. I’m very flexible to fit anyone’s needs and excited to do so. I have a dog park in my apartment complex that is massive. The apartment itself does not have a fenced in back yard but lots of room to walk around.
