She deals with significant anxiety and back-leg pain, so I was nervous about leaving her in a new space with a stranger, but I had nothing to worry about. She settled in quickly and even felt comfortable enough to trick Gerald into getting off the couch so she could steal his spot. Although she’s usually reluctant to be active, she went on several walks with him. Gerald was also great about sending regular photos and updates, and very flexible when I ran late for pickup. I’m very used to planning my routine around a dog’s needs and making sure they feel comfortable, stimulated, and cared for consistently. Starting in June, I’ll be home full-time during the weekdays, which allows me to give pets much more attention and companionship than sitters who may be balancing another full-time job. Because of this, I’m able to provide frequent potty breaks, consistent supervision, and flexible scheduling for drop-ins, walks, and house sitting. One thing that makes me stand out is the level of attention and presence I provide. I’m not someone who simply stops in for the minimum amount of time and leaves. I truly enjoy bonding with pets and making sure they feel loved and comfortable while their owners are away. I also know how important communication is for pet parents, so I make an effort to send updates, photos, and details about how their pet is doing so they can feel reassured and connected. Whether it’s a walk, a drop-in, or overnight care, I aim to make pets feel like they’re spending time with someone they know and trust rather than just being “checked on.” I currently do not host pets in my own home, but I’m happy to care for them in the comfort of your home where they feel safest and most comfortable. “Dan and Denise are AWESOME!! I had a family emergency during the coronavirus crisis and had to find a sitter for my brother's six year old pitbull, Blue, ASAP. I went on Rover.com and sent an email to Dan at 3:00 A.M. asking if he could take care of Blue for us, not just for a few days but almost a month! To my surprise, Dan answered me immediately! We arranged for a "greet and meet" the next day and fortunately Dan and Denise were able to take Blue in that very same day. I was so afraid Blue was going to have separation anxiety and be distressed since he has always been with my brother - that fear quickly subsided with Dan and Denise reassuring me he would be well looked after and they had taken care of many, many dogs, including pitties. Well, Blue was one SPOILED pup during his stay! Dan and Denise have a beautiful home, a large fenced in yard for their doggie guests to play in and the T.L.C. is first class! Each day, I would receive a text update and either a video or picture from Denise and Dan showing Blue running in the yard, snoozing in bed, hanging out in the living room or laying next to Denise in her office. I was able to go see Blue several times during his extended stay and he was always content and happy! I cannot thank Dan and Denise enough for their kindness to Blue and our family during this difficult time and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them !!”

“Sandy is sincere, honest and competent. We hired Sandy to take care of our two cats for a little over 2 weeks. When she came for her first visit, we realized that we had forgotten to put in our initial request that we also have two outdoor cats we care for & feed. We asked Sandy if she would be okay doing that while we were away and she graciously agreed. She spent enough time with us to make sure that she understood all our instructions. While we were away she came everyday at the same time for 30 minutes to be with our cats, freshened up their food & water bowls, cleaned their little box and left little treats for them so they got a little exercise. She sent us updates and pictures through the Rover App during every visit so we could see our fur-babies were happy and healthy. Ever since primary school, I volunteered to walk all my neighbors' dogs and would stay to play with them for hours—tug-of-war and frisbee were our favorites. About: I volunteer with the organization that I adopted my pup from! I not only process applications for the organization, but I actively “babysit” pups overnight (sometimes 3 days at a time) for their fosters who occasionally are away on the weekends. I have the most experience with puppies and young adults, but also have watched older pups of my family members.
