“This was our first time using Rover. I was very reluctant to use a person I did not know, or friends didn't know. However, I am so glad I took the chance with a 5 day/overnight in Sarah's home. It's a relief she only takes one animal at a time since our dog doesn't like other dogs. At the meet and greet, Sarah asked many questions to get a feel for Milo (eating & bathroom habits, walking, sleeping habits etc...) To start, her home is absolutely immaculate. I received a daily update with pictures on how our dog was adjusting & doing overall. Milo was displaying some quirky behaviors which Sarah reported right away & thought was cute/funny. She was very accepting, flexible in many ways, and an absolute delight to talk with. It is apparent she is a dog lover! Upon pick up, Milo was happy and all his belongings were packed & ready to go. “Having just moved to Long Island, my husband and I were in search of a reliable dog sitter for our dog, Kilo. We always had friends watch him in Miami, and were a bit nervous leaving Kilo with a stranger for 3 nights. Initially, we checked out some kennels in the area, and found them quite depressing. That led us to look on Rover, and Daniel's profile came up first. I reached out to Daniel to inquire about booking with him, and within minutes Daniel had responded and we set up a meet and greet for later that night. I stopped by with Kilo to see Daniel's set up/house. I could immediately tell that he was a dog person and was going to treat my dog as his own! I was nervous because Kilo can be a little territorial with other large males, but Daniel reassured me that everything would be fine. I dropped Kilo off later that week for his stay with Daniel and his family. Daniel sent pictures of Kilo playing outside and responded to any questions/concerns I had about Kilo during his stay. I felt totally confident that my dog was in good hands at his house. Daniel and his family will definitely be my dog people on the island! I absolutely recommend their services. About: Growing up, I lived with two tuxedo cats who completely stole my heart. I have worked with them before and they always do a wonderful job - I know that my cats and my home are safe in their care - but this time, they went above and beyond the call of duty. I always put a lockbox on my door handle when I travel so that the pet sitter can easily get the keys, but this time, the cover on my box jammed shut as I was putting it on the door handle. I couldn’t even take the box off the handle because the unlatching mechanism is inside the box, which I couldn’t open. I panicked; if Lisa and Michael couldn’t get in, my pets would have a miserable few days. So I went out and bought a SECOND box, then put it on the handle, too. Yes, there were two lockboxes on my door. Lisa and Michael were fabulous, though. Not only did they just roll with the situation, but they figured out how to unjam the first box and save it (I thought that bolt cutters would be involved!). I am beyond grateful for their help and highly recommend that you pick them. You will be so grateful that you did.”

When we created our private doggie suite, I was thinking of all the things I would want our dogs to have if we were away. Our checklist of amenities include: - private couch/futon for lounging - clean fresh water bowls 24/7 - several breaks for play time outside - 24 hour recorded camera monitoring in - secured locked doors -AC and/or heat & fans with temp alerts - TV and ALEXA/echo music - fenced secure yard - easily cleaned floors **rates are for 24 hour periods. After 24 hours, it’s $10 an hour. - puppies and tiny dogs may stay in smaller secure area or my be bought in our home. -LOTS OF LOVE AND ATTENTION ❤️ When taking care of dogs, it's important to provide them with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation. Here are some fun activities I can do with the dogs I watch: Walking is a great way to provide dogs with exercise and mental stimulation. I Choose different routes and places to walk, such as a local park, beach, or hiking trail. Most dogs love playing fetch. I can take your dog or dogs with your permission to a fenced dog's park and play a game of fetch with a ball or frisbee. Dogs love to play with toys, such as squeaky toys or tug ropes.

Ever since primary school, I volunteered to walk all my neighbors' dogs and would stay to play with them for hours—tug-of-war and frisbee were our favorites. I've walked dogs of all sizes, sometimes up to three at a time. Getting my own puppy was the best thing in the world for me, and I naturally have endless patience for animals. Throughout college, I walked and sat for my piano professor's dog for years—around the neighborhood, and I also drove him to dog parks and beaches. Since I'm not working a rigid 9-to-5, I can easily adjust my day around each dog's needs, whether that means extra cuddles, a longer walk, or a spontaneous trip to the dog park. I have a beautiful toy poodle and I recently dropped her off at a kennel for "daycare" and when I went to pick her up, she had a fracture that still to this day they cannot explain hoe it happened. Ever since that traumatized experience ive been very apprehensive about leaving my puppy with anyone. Emily and her fiancé was very understanding and supportive of all of my concerns. Emily suggested a meet and greet which went so well. She was able to reassure that my puppy was in good hands. She showed me the space where my journie will be staying which was very warm, welcoming, and clean. My puppy stayed a few hours with Emily, and she kept me up-to-date with pictures, videos, and texts throughout her entire stay. I was so appreciative of how Emily took the time to keep me posted throughout the day and my mind was completely at ease for the first time in a long time. Not to mention my journie was very happy... About: Animals have always been an important part of my life. Growing up, I lived with two tuxedo cats who completely stole my heart. As I got older, I took on many of their daily care responsibilities, including feeding them, cleaning their litter boxes, playing with them, and making sure they felt loved and comfortable.
