About: I've always had a special connection with dogs. Ever since primary school, I volunteered to walk all my neighbors' dogs and would stay to play with them for hours—tug-of-war and frisbee were our favorites. I've walked dogs of all sizes, sometimes up to three at a time. Getting my own puppy was the best thing in the world for me, and I naturally have endless patience for animals. Throughout college, I walked and sat for my piano professor's dog for years—around the neighborhood, and I also drove him to dog parks and beaches. On top of that, I've volunteered at an animal shelter, cleaning dog and cat rooms and socializing with the animals. I currently can't have a dog of my own because I fly in and out for work. That's why I'm doing this part-time — it's never an assembly line for me. Each dog gets my full, individual attention, and I truly make friends with every one of them. I worked at New York’s Best Pets on Dyckman 200 Street before it burned down unfortunately and there I took care of feeding, grooming and playing with the pets as well as customer service. I’ve taken care of many dogs in the past, from walking to dog sitting. I have given prescribed medicine to dogs when they needed it and have trimmed their hair when asked to, as well as given them a full shower and a good groom. About: Hello Everyone! I am Omaid, I hold a masters in Design, I used to teach in university. I am on Long Island I am very familiar with dog walking and I get along with dogs. When I lived in the city I would walk dogs once a week. I am familiar with this. I am currently working on my start up which is about reviewing apartments, landlords and neighborhoods. LandLo.co so while I’m working on that I have free time. I am an animal lover especially dogs and this fits perfectly into my routine ideally in the morning! I used to do dog walking in Manhattan for a year while doing my masters. I used to teach at university as well so I have a patience and care for others. “Rachel and Henrik (and their two wonderful kids!) watched our two Goldendoodles for the weekend, and we couldn’t have had a better experience. From the start, it was clear this was a perfect fit—we did a meet-and-greet beforehand, and instantly felt comfortable. Their home is beautiful, clean, and has a great backyard where our dogs had plenty of space to run and play. More importantly, our dogs were treated like part of the family—they got tons of attention, snuggles, and care all weekend.
