I could see that my fur babies were well taken care of and was enjoying their stay. The walks, playtime, and other activities. Thank you Katie! You Rock!!!!!”

About: I have been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember and have been pet-sitting since age 10 for family, friends, and neighbors. I have almost always lived with at least one cat or dog (or both!) throughout my life. I also have experience caring for rabbits, ferrets, gerbils, fish, parakeets, bearded dragons, and cockatiels. I currently live with two indoor tortoiseshell cats who are comfortable with dogs, and one of my cats is leash-trained. I have raised and trained at least 11 dogs from puppies to adulthood (3 as my own and the others for my parents). Most of my cats I adopted as teenagers, but I have raised a few kittens from a young age. I have done extensive dog training with the 3 dogs I raised as my own in the past, and I am familiar with both dog and cat training techniques. I live in a cabin the woods in Boston, NY, on a power line gravel road. Although I do not have a fenced in back yard, your dog will enjoy going on leashed walks down the power line road multiple times per day! I earn a living through a mix of substitute teaching (summer starts June 25th!), remote research and writing gigs, tutoring, child care, and pet care. I have a flexible schedule and incorporate pet care into the mix as much as possible because I love animals. If I am boarding a dog at my home, I will not be house sitting at that time (and vice versa). While boarding or house sitting, I will consider dog walking and drop-ins depending on the needs of the client and driving distance. If you board your dog at my home, my cats and I wake up early (about 6am) and I like to go outside for a walk down the power line road right away, and then eat breakfast. Your dog will be able to spend time with me all day (on a leash when we are outside), and if I need to leave my house, they will be in their crate for no more than 4 hours (2 is my strong preference). We will go for at least one more walk before dinner, too. I will be sure to give them plenty of play time and exercise throughout the day (depending on their level of activity and how hot it is outside). No matter what, they will get a lot of love and attention! I live in a cabin in the woods in the Town of Boston, NY, so although I do not have a fenced-in yard, there is very little traffic or people around. I will be able to go on long leashed walks with your dog down the power line for exercise, and there are a few friendly neighbor dogs that would love to say hello if your dog is up for that. I do live with two cats: one of them will hide a lot while your dog is here, but the other is very dog-friendly and will want to interact with your dog. I will monitor and separate them as needed (I have a spare room). I have always crate-trained my dogs and so long as your dog is comfortable in their crate, I will use it as a safe place for them to be while they are staying with me.

“At first I was skeptical about using Rover to find someone to care for my German Shepherd that I just adopted and because of moving reasons I needed a place for him to be until my place was ready. I came across Jin, and she was immediately available, and I couldn't be more lucky to have found such an amazing human been, she took care of my Tony so good, with constant pictures and follow ups about his activities. I will only use her services to care for my dog. She us the best. Thank you so much for taking care my big baby tony.??”

“Jackie made it possible to leave on a 2 week vacation. All 3 of our dogs were well taken care of. Jackie did everything we asked. We will definitely ask Jackie to take care of our family again. Thank you”

“Rylee is wonderful. She took great care of Kiko and sent me updates very often. She was also very receptive to my instructions and advice for taking care of him. Kiko got to play with her other dogs, enjoy the big fenced in yard, go for rides in the car and enjoy some pup cups. Rylee really treated Kiko as one of her own. I will absolutely seek her out again should I need someone to care for Kiko in the future.”

“Chelsea and Dereck were amazing taking care of our old boy, a German shepherd. They kept us updated with daily pictures and he seemed so happy. He went swimming, hangout with other fur friends and lay down to watch the fire pit, it reminded me when my son went to summer camp, so I would like to think our fur baby went to Summer camp as well full of activities, fun and a chance to chill. Thank you for everything guys. I would not hesitate letting Luke stay with you guys again and for anyone not feeling to good having to leave your furry baby while out of town, I will highly recommend Derek and Chelsea?”

“As always Alena went above and beyond in her care for my fur baby Champ. My baby had an accident just a few days before I was set to travel for a wedding, Alena was willing and able to care for champ and administer his medications and watch over him. She kept me up to date with photos and health updates and made it so I didn’t have to worry or stress about him. I knew with her he’d be in good hands, and my pup was so excited to see her again. Thank you Alena for taking care of my fur baby!”

“Thank you Jenn and Brian for taking such good care of Angus! You frequently updated us with pics and were extremely attentive to Angus’ needs. We will be back.”

“We just picked up our pup from her first stay with Monica and it was a success! I appreciated the daily photo and video updates that Monica was so kind to send. Our CareBear acclimated instantly and was treated wonderfully. We will definitely be using her again down the road when we have future road trips. Thank you again Monica for making us feel so comfortable leaving our furry friend with you from the initial meet and greet to the actual stay!”

“Kiara & Yves, did such an amazing job with my little kitty. She was so well cared for and the sitter was super responsive sending many nice updates and photos of Lottie. I would recommend their services to anyone who was looking for a sitter!”

“Jessica was amazing with caring for our Bailey! She is kind, reliable and a true dog lover. She follows all care instructions and keeps in communication with pictures and updates. We would book with her again without reservation.”

“Denise was just awesome. She really make us feel that Pepe was just another one of the family. Great communication and she just showed how he loves animals and cares about them. Will definitely ask Denise again in future occasions.”

About: I've never understood the "cat person versus dog person" rivalry because I grew up with and love them both! I currently live with two cats and their personalities are completely different even though they are both females and look alike! I enjoy slowly building trust with cats by respecting their boundaries. I love to play and cuddle with cats, but I never force a cat to do anything they don't want to do, which helps them open up to me. I see how cats thrive when I am calm and give them a regular routine.

“Peggy was great to take care of my cats while we were out of town! She tidied their stuff and sent me a note after each check-in. I'll definitely contact her again when we need someone to check on the cats!”

“Sara was absolutely amazing taking care of our cats during a recent lake-effect snow storm. I was not able to get someone to plow the driveway very quickly, yet she was willing to wade through waist deep snow just to reach my cat and ensure she got her medication. I am deeply grateful that she cares so much about our cats and would recommend her to anyone who is looking for a pet sitter. I also love that she spends times with the cats and is excellent about sending me a picture with every single visit. I love seeing the cute pictures she sends, and it makes me feel more at ease knowing our fur babies are in capable hands.”

“I could not have asked for a better first time experience using Rover! Jenny was amazing and came over before we left for vacation to meet our cats and get a rundown of their routine. She was thorough in her communication and it really made me feel so much better knowing that our cats were in good hands while we were away. I highly recommend Jenny for any of your pet sitting needs!”

“We had Jessica come stay overnight with our 6 rescue kitties for 3 days/nights. We never had anyone stay in our home or watch them before or used a pet service/rover before so we took a leap of faith after reading her profile and all these reviews! And so glad we did! She was sooo great and such a positive experience! She was so kind to the kitts, our home and us! (Not to mention she is such a cool human!) We got tons of pics daily and kept us in the loop throughout our trip. The relief we got knowing we could go away and get a break and know the kitties had great company and care was huge for us. We look forward to being able to go away in the future and having Jessica with our kitties in our home. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for peace of mind when away.”

About: I have owned and taken care of both dogs and cats most of my life. I am responsible and trustworthy in taking care of your pet. I am retired. I have a very open schedule. I am available for walks and check ins Monday through Friday. I can not board or take care of pets in my home. I would like to work for rover because I love dogs and cats and currently do not have any of my own. I miss the joy of having a pet. I do not have any pets. My husband and I like to travel and feel that we would not be able to spent enough quality time with a pet of our own. I can not board or care for a pet in my home.
“It was such a peace of mind knowing my pups were cared for over the weekend while Jenna checked in on them. She sent me pictures and messaged me with any updates. I will definitely book with her in the future!”
About: I’ve loved dogs since I was wee child. 8 years ago my now husband and I got our first puppy (a pitbull/rat terrier mix) named Dudley and have since grown our four legged family by four! A 3.5 year old Daniff (Great Dane/English mastiff mix) named Aspen and three domestic shorthair kitties, varying in color (an orange included), named Chug, Nova and Wee. Despite the 2 dogs, 3 cats and family I still have time to spare throughout the days; especially during the school year. I’ve been walking dogs for friends and associates for about a year and I’ve really enjoyed the freedom and relations I’ve found along the way. I have experience with dogs of all ages/sizes. From 40lb corgis to 150lb mastiffs, your pup is safe with me and will likely find a new best friend. I would love the opportunity to walk your dog or drop in for a visit/play date! **I do have a 6 year old that comes with me during the summer so I am limited to child friendly dogs during that time. My schedule is almost always open and flexible aside from not being available on weekends. I am currently unavailable on Tues, Thurs and Fri (from 11AM-12PM) for a preexisting client. Because I have 5 pets of my own, I am unable to offer services from my home. With that being said, respect is first and foremost. Your house, your pets, your rules. I always like establishing the blueprint for what my visits will look like. I, of course, am trying to cater to your pet and understand they all have different needs; some are anxious, food/treat motivated, some need lots of exercise. I assure you, no pet is too big or small for me.

“Jocelyn (and Penny) was a fantastic sitter. She was reliable and responsive and took such great care of our cat. We will definitely rebook with her in the future. Thank you, Jocelyn!”

“Erin took wonderful care of my cat, Lukas while I was away. She is reliable, attentive, and made sure Lukas had everything he needed. Knowing Lukas is in such good hands gives me peace of mind. I truly appreciate Erin’s kindness and care—highly recommend her to anyone looking for a trustworthy pet sitter!”

Perfect for high energy dogs - Hamburg
Prices are estimates per day. Pricing may vary based on your search. A booking fee of 11% and taxes will apply.
About: I’m great with dogs because I’m patient, attentive, and genuinely love being around them. I take the time to understand each dog’s personality, routines, and needs, whether that means high-energy playtime, calm walks, or just quiet companionship. I’m very observant of behavior and body language, so I can quickly tell when a dog is excited, anxious, or needs extra care. I’m reliable with feeding schedules, walks, and any special instructions, and I always prioritize safety and comfort. Most importantly, I treat every dog like my own and I make sure they feel loved, secure, and happy while their owners are away. 🐶❤️ I have 2 dachshunds of my own♥️ I am currently a Teacher, I work from 8-3:45 during the week! I am always home after those times and on the weekends! I am off in the summers and on all school breaks and holidays! I have 2 dachshunds of my own and I spend ALL my time with them when I am home, so I can do the same with your pets! I have a fenced in yard and two fur babies to keep yours company! I can crate them if needed but mine roam the kitchen while I am gone and sleep in bed with me! We are always walking and outside running around!
“This was our first experience leaving our 9 mo. old shihtzu pup for daycare. Mom was nervous - puppy had the best day ever! Katie took great care of our boy and he definitely loved every minute, living his best life! Thank you Katie!”

“Crystal handled my two rescues wonderfully. It was their first time being somewhere without us and everything went great. She was great at giving updates and sending pictures. We plan on booking with crystal again in the future.”

“Rudy had a wonderful time with Jaddua. He reassured us with many updates, photos, and was a very caring dog sitter. He loved giving Rudy all the attention and love he needed. We will definitely book again in the upcoming future. Thank you!”

About: It's Summertime!!! Bring your Pupp-a-ccinos and PuppCorn for a sleeprover to talk about. I can give quality care and attention for your furbaby all day and bonus is I am a licensed veterinary technician Are you looking for someone who can stay with your fur baby and not be kenneled? I'm your woman. I am a stay-at-home dog mom. Typical schedule is I am an early bird and go on morning walks or hikes. I leave for 1-2 hours for gym 9am or 6 pm dependent on class schedule. The rest of the time is spent at home. My husband helps as well and will be in charge of what I call midnight potties for any late-night moments. I try to give an enriching environment for all pets that I'm caring for, but if they are more mellow, then I'm very good at snuggling. I enjoy outdoor activities and love to bring any dog who wants to explore nature with me. I can take your dog out on multiple leashed walks a day. We can go to a nearby park or sunbathe on my porch. I treat all pets like they are my own family member.
“Mary and her family are absolutely AMAZING with our puppy, Scout! She communicates and sends me pictures throughout the day and after only one day of daycare, the next time he saw her he was SO excited!! Her sweet dog, Maggie, has taken Scout under her wing and is so good with him. I cannot say enough good things! I feel like we hit the lottery by finding Mary to care for our sweet boy when we are at work. He leaves ever day happy and exhausted!”

About: Hi there! I'm Caitlin, and for the past 13 years, I have gained extensive education, training, and experience with all types of animals. I have been with Rover since 2014 and have had over 190 clients through the years. As a proud professional, the experience under my belt includes: - Solo management of a small, rural cat shelter - Behavioral and adoption staff at a large urban animal shelter - Dog and cat training - Fear free certification - Management staff for boarding and daycare - Professional bathing/grooming - Exotic animal handling - Bachelor's degree in Animal Behavior Besides my professional experience, I have been a pet owner my whole life - dogs, cats, and exotics included! Right now - I have four beloved cats who I have clicker trained myself! ** Currently, my preferred clients are cats, small dogs, seniors, and more relaxed pets. I am not suited to care for strong, energetic dogs who need extensive exercise. ** In-home boarding and dog daycare are services I vet very extensively and am particular about due to my cats. While I do offer the services, it is always better to choose a house sit/drop in visit with me instead - these I can be much more flexible about. I am a *CONSTANT CARE SITTER!* That means, I am in your home for the vast majority of the day, due to my day job being completely remote and flexible. While some others may need to step out for a full work day, I commit my time to YOUR pet(s) and YOUR pet(s) only - which sets me apart from other sitters. You may see that my husband, Josh, is also on my profile. He will occasionally help me with some services, but I am the primary sitter. I will always let clients know if he is going to be present for any services. Safety for pets and myself is and always has been my top priority. I am proudly fear free certified and have worked on extensive safety training measures in all of my professional working environments. I know how to use all types of equipment (leashes, collars, harnesses, e-collars, etc) with ease.
About: “My fashion philosophy is, if you’re not covered in dog hair, your life is empty.” – Elayne Boosler I am home 95% of the time during the summer, we just extended the fence to about an acre! Also have an above ground pool that your pup can swim in with my help if they like to. During the school year I am out of the house Mon-Fri from 7-4 so I can take dogs for boarding on Friday's starting at 4 or after. My favorite thing is to be home with my dogs on the weekend so most likely the shortest amount of time your pup(s) will be home without a human is 2-4 hours max. When I am home, the dogs are my first priority, with many walks, brushing, massage and pampering included in each visit! If your pup needs a bath and is well-behaved in the tub, I'd love to freshen them up! (I do not cut nails). All of my pups are on flea and tick prevention year round. Please reach out if you have any questions! I am home all day during the summer months so I can watch your pup 24/7! I have older pups who love to chill and a younger golden who loves to run around and play so whatever kind of dog you have they should fit right in. No aggressive dogs please! I am home 24/7 when watching your pup. I have a huge fenced in yard for them to play and a nice indoor area as well. Our dogs are allowed on furniture and prefer it over their expensive dog beds lol.
“Kiara and Yves did an amazing job watching Teddy. Once I dropped him off, he felt right at home. Kiara kept on contact with me throughout the booking to update me on Teddys status and sent several pics. Will definitely book with Kiara and Yves again if we’re in the area.”

“Jenn & Brian made it so easy to plan a daycare stay for my two dogs while I was planning a visit to Niagara Falls. During the day, they sent cute pictures of the dogs, including one with their son having three dogs sit at attention. I could tell when I picked them up they had a great day and made new friends.”

About: I have raised two dogs (one large bread and one small bread) both from puppy to 16 & 17yrs old. I have had three cats (one still residing with me). Currently I dog sit two fur babies since 2020. In a week I am losing one of my buddies due to his parents relocating. I am already missing him and am hoping to make some new walking and cuddling partners. I work part time on weekends but can sit with advanced notice. Monday til Wednesday I am available for anytime on shorter notice. When I have your furry sweetheart I do not leave them by themselves at all,so I like to schedule when there is nothing to conflict with the time I have them. When in my house they have no restrictions from me, only what the parent wants. I have an outside bathroom area on leash for quick bathroom trips. I like to go for at least one or two long walks per day, weather permitting and your dogs abilities. I live in a walkable neighborhood and close to parks. When at your house I will follow whatever routine your partner is used to.
About: Working from home allows me the flexibility needed in any schedule!! That means all the time to give your pup all the love and attention they may need. My schedule makes it easy to go on walks and potty breaks!! We can't wait to meet your pup!! I grew up with dogs my entire life and can't wait to meet yours!! Nothing is better than snuggles and dog kisses!! I have experience with dogs of all ages. I have watched my families dogs while they have gone on vacation and love them as they were my own!! I have one dog to keep yours very busy!! She just loves other dogs. I have a great neighborhood that makes leashed walks great [weather permitting.] We have a balcony so they are able to get fresh air, sun bathe and people watch!!

“Nancy was amazing! Our dog enjoyed her time playing and hanging out. Despite my being a class A jerk and arriving far past our agreed upon time for pickup after getting caught in a storm, they were incredibly patient and understanding. We were very happy with our interaction and overall experience and would absolutely come back (if they'd take us! ?).”

“Valerie provided excellent care for Twix yesterday for an extended period of time. She kept us in the loop with cute pics and text messages which we appreciated as this was our first time leaving Twix outside our home with a care giver. Being a rescue, Twix has fear issues and is a very shy girl - Valerie displayed endless patience working to make Twix comfortable in a new environment. We will not hesitate to call on Valerie again to care for Twix.”

“Sasha is very personable, great energy...and Homey seemed to enjoy his stay with her on Mother's day...nice to be away and know he was well cared for...lots of pics and updates....highly recommend.”

About: - I love to walk, even those longer walks for those dogs such as my families own golden whom requires a lot of exercise! -I always carry disposable bags for poop and a water bottle for dogs as they get thirsty on walks -I also carry treats when walking - My families' dog is very afraid so I know how to deal with dogs that have those traits and do everything in my power to prevent them from interacting with any animal or anyone who would put them in a bad situation. -I always heed a dog owners' rules when caring for another's family member, because they know the dog best. -I treat another's pet as my own. -I make sure they are safe at all times. -I am not afraid of telling others they are not to pet a dog that does not want to be touched or interact with anyone but his/her human loved ones. I presently work part time and in schools during the school year. I have fostered dogs in the past with this same schedule and my foster pups were very happy. I would provide the same care for your pet for my own. I treat my pets like family and the same would be given to your fur baby.
“Toktam was a loving, sensitive angel when it came to the way she took care of our little Puerto Rican rescue pup Maisie. Maisie is quite wary of new people, but to my delight and surprise, the second day we dropped her off Maisie smiled a doggie smile usually reserved for only three family members (me, my daughter and my husband) and happily rushed to Toktam's front yard gate to see her! Wow! That was a first. I have had really good experiences with Rover but this one was the absolute best because even though I am a worry wart and very protective of our sensitive, formerly traumatized little street dog Maisie, once I met Toktam, I was immediately comfortable, confident and relieved that she would be in the best of hands for her four days of daycare. Thank you Toktam!”

“Sarah has been a wonderful dog walker for our dog. She is thoughtful and caring, sends photos, updates and lets me know how our senior dog is feeling when she sees her. She has given us peace of mind!”

“Alyssa was absolutely amazing! My dog absolutely loved his time with her. She always kept me informed with what was going on, including multiple pictures. Despite very inclement weather she still showed up and made sure Roger was taken care of! She brought towels, checked his food and water! I cannot recommend her strongly enougj”
About: I adore my basset hound and english bulldog. Plus I have had experience working at a dog groomer and a doggie daycare. I have never met a dog I did not enjoy. About: I love dogs and had one for 17 years! Our good boy recently crossed the rainbow bridge and we miss him so much. I have experience with young dogs, but also with senior dogs I am currently available during the day every weekday, so whether it’s an early morning or late afternoon walk, I can be there no problem! I treat every dog like my own and give them as long as a walk as they prefer or as many pets as they desire!
About: Hi! I’m a dental hygienist with 9 years of clinical experience, bringing that same calm, careful attention to your pets. I read each dog’s energy: some want fetch, some want a slow sniff-walk, and either way you get my full attention. What you can count on: • On-time, every visit • Photo updates so you’re never wondering • A calm presence that puts anxious pets at ease I treat every pet like my own. Looking forward to meeting your fur family! Pet care fits naturally into my routine — I have a dog of my own, so mornings and evenings already center around walks and feeding. I’ve also cared for cats my whole life, so I’m comfortable with both. I have flexibility for drop-ins and walks on weekdays and more availability on weekends. And since my own dog is all 12, I know how to adjust pace and attention for older pets — happy to tailor visits to your senior pet needs. Drop-In Visits: I stick to your pet’s normal routine: feeding, fresh water, potty breaks, and some playtime or cuddles, all in the comfort of their own home. I follow any care instructions you leave (medications, feeding amounts, favorite toys) exactly as written. Dog Walking: I match the pace and route to your dog’s energy and age; brisk exercise for active pups, slower sniff-walks for seniors. I always have waste bags on hand and check in with a photo update after each walk. For both, I treat your home with respect (doors locked, alarm set if needed) and your pet like my own.

About: Hi there! My name is Kayla and I have been a dog lover since I got my first dog at 7 years old. I grew up with a Golden Retriever (Jeter), when he passed I was devastated, but knew I could not live without a dog in my life. I got a mini golden doodle (Rylee) who is currently 4 years old. I also ended up adopting a heeler/dachshund mix (Mavis) who is 7 months old. I have experience working with all different sized animals of all ages. I took care of my senior dog, assisting him with a broken leg and have experience with puppies and training. Pets are family and I know how important it is to find a caring and loving individual to be with your pet, let me be that person for you! I am currently a school counselor with many days off during the summer and breaks. I am able to board your furry friend on weekends and during days off! I am available every day for dog walks after 3:30pm. With my love for animals, I will ensure endless cuddles and playtime for your pet. I live on 3 acres of land with enough space for your pet to run and play. Right up the road is my mother’s house who lives on 60 acres of land and a pond if your dog likes to swim where I can take them to anytime! If your dog is crate training or trained, I would love to set that up for you.
About: My parents have been breeding basset hounds since I was 6 years old. Ever since I can remember I have always helped my parents take care of our bassets. I would also help with the deliveries, which means I also have experience with taking care of puppies! My boyfriend has a pit bull mix and whenever I visit with him I will also help take care of his dog as well. She has a lot of energy so we take lots of long walks together. I work part time as a behavior technician so my schedule is pretty flexible. I mostly work evenings and I am off on Sundays and Mondays. I am also available most mornings. I am very good at sticking to a schedule and I am super organized so I will make sure that your pet gets fed at the correct time and has plenty of fresh water. I am an animal lover so I will be sure to give your pets lots of love and attention as well.

I am currently working at a veterinary clinic mostly everyday, but am looking to spend extra time with your dogs and cats on my off time! About: I have 2 dogs of my own who are spoiled rotten. I adore pets of all kinds, I even have a ferret and bearded dragon myself. I know how much dogs miss their humans when they are gone, so I will do my best to make them as loved and comfortable as possible I do work full time, but I have a very flexible schedule. I can accommodate almost all schedules will my work schedule. I look forward to loving your fur babies. I would prefer to care for pets in their home. I think this makes pets more comfortable being in their own space that they know.

“Denae and Mark were wonderful hosts for our dog, Cooper. Denae was a great communicator and provided us photos and messages to let us know how Cooper was doing during his brief weekend stay. We will be using them again!”

“It was the 1st time, and I'm very happy with Leah. When I was dropping off my dog, I knew that my dog would love her. Leah kept giving me updates constantly. I definitely trust Leah with my dog and will rebook with her again.”

“Michaela did a wonderful job watching our two rescues for a day. This was their first stay with her and I would love to book a stay with her again in the future. She sent photos and put my mind at ease as I was worried about how my dogs would do, everything went perfectly! I couldnt be happier with today's visit. Thank you Michaela!”

“Rusty was clearly very happy when my husband and I picked him up, we could see in his eyes that he had a great calm time around sierra and her husband. We would definitely consider doggy sitting with them again 🥰”

“Kelly was awesome for our girls first stay away from home. She updated me throughout our 3 days away so that I had peace of mind and knew they were being well cared for. They came home happy and tired! Thank you Kelly!”
