“Brigid was a great match for my older dog, thorough in asking about his needs and care, and communicated well through out the entire time she had him. Would book again for sure if we need care!”

“We had a great experience with Lori! She was very communicative before and throughout Ollie’s stay. Her home was warm and inviting for the pups staying with her and the fenced in yard was a huge bonus! We hope to have Ollie visit with Lori again soon!”

“Samantha and her family are amazing. Honestly. My first time boarding my 3 month old puppy and they made it so easy. Communication and kindness!! Such genuine people. Thank you for everything!!”

“Alyson was wonderful! She was very patient with my dogs, even when they got nervous and peed on her floor. They quickly warmed up to her and her dog, and from the photos she sent, it was obvious they were having a great time. I will definitely rebook with Alyson.”

“This great pet sitter took such amazing care of my little cockapoo. Coco has never really been socialized with other dogs before, but she had the time of her life there. Patty sent me pictures and notes every single day, which made me feel so secure knowing my girl was being well cared for and truly loved. I would absolutely recommend Patty to anyone looking for a caring and reliable pet sitter. We will definitely be using her again!”

“Chelsea and Chris were amazing!! Munson came home well rested and loved. I am so grateful to them and so happy I found them. The constant pictures and communication was awesome. I take comfort in knowing there is someone I can leave him with - who will love and care for him as if he were their own.”

“Laura is an angel in human form! She has an ABUNDANCE of experience working with dogs, especially senior pups like ours. We have never felt so comfortable leaving our 17 and 16 year old dogs with a sitter. Thanks Laura!”

“Vera was the perfect dog sitter for our Pixel. She sent great updates and pictures throughout our trip to make us feel comfortable and show us that Pixel was having a great time. She is very thorough and asks all the right questions (even the ones that we forgot). Highly recommend Vera for all your doggy needs!”

“Cache is absolutely amazing with our nervous boy, we appreciate all that she does for him while he’s there with her! He loves all the fruit he gets to snack on especially!”

About: I’m a certified dog trainer with 30 years of experience and have helped thousands of dogs—from puppies to seniors. Your dog will never go home with worse manners after staying with me! Every pup gets one-on-one attention, enrichment, and plenty of daily playtime. I’m home the majority of the week, which means your dog gets lots of company, cuddles, and care! I’m happy to board your sweet pup anytime you need me. I’ve got a fully fenced yard and a goofy young playmate who loves making new dog friends! Your pup will enjoy tons of zoomies, sniffing, and social fun. At night, everyone snoozes safely in their crates—but don’t worry, I’m always on “midnight potty duty” for puppies and seniors who need a quick outing!
“Very professional! Christopher did a great job with my dog and sent lots of pictures. I will absolutely be a returning customer and I enthusiastically recommend him.”

“Amy was wonderful with our puppy! She took great care of him and kept us updated during the stay. It’s such a comfort knowing he was in good hands. We’ll definitely book with her again.”

“Jialin and John watched my new senior rescue Bianca for a long weekend and were so good to her! I was a little nervous since I had her less than a month and was still figuring out her unique behaviors and preferences but she was in great hands. We did a meet and greet beforehand and Boo-boo was a great host, sharing his home and parents. Jialin even taught Bianca a new trick that we have been working on back home. Bianca was sent home with a plastic baggie of some treats she liked to keep the good times going back home. I look forward to the next time Bianca can stay with them!”

“Alex was WONDERFUL! He went above and beyond to take care of my 70lb foster puppy, Sony. Took him on long walks and to the dog park ?. He was also super helpful when I couldn’t get the crate into my car. He went above and beyond by picking up the crate and the pup at my apartment. Sony was so happy and relaxed when he got back home. I will definitely book with Alex again.”

About: I have hands-on experience caring for a wide range of animals, including dogs, and cats. I’ve managed households with up to 5 dogs at once, including large breeds like German Shepherds, so I’m comfortable handling high-energy and strong dogs. I also have a dog of my own and three cats, so I understand daily care, behavior, and attention pets need to feel safe and happy. I’m reliable, attentive, and experienced with feeding, walking, and general care for multiple animals at once. I’m currently a student with a flexible daily schedule. I have a break in my day from 11:00 AM to 1:30 PM, which is perfect for walks, drop-ins, and check-ins. I’m also available before and after classes, and I can be flexible on weekends depending on your pet’s needs. I keep pets safe, comfortable, and well cared for at all times. I follow your instructions closely and make sure dogs get regular walks and attention, even without a yard.

About: I have had experience cat sitting for friends and family for years! I enjoy a cat that loves to run and play around, as well as a cat that spends their day in the sunbeam!
About: I've been taking care of animals for as long as I can remember, and I have experience with dogs and cats of all kinds. I have a deep respect for all animals, including those that are shy or have special needs, and I'm committed to giving every animal the care they deserve. I'm available on most weekends and holidays. I occasionally have weekdays open as my work schedule allows and I will have Fridays available for part of the summer. When introducing myself I allow the animal to approach me first, I take things slow if they're shy or nervous. I'm familiar with dog and cat body language so I can recognize signs of stress. When walking dogs I'm always aware of my surroundings and will adjust the route if I need to.

“Merissa and Nick are the best pet sitters I have ever had, because they care and go above and beyond!! Besides the very helpful daily updates on my cat’s food, drink, litter box usage and general behavior, they sent me some of the greatest photos and videos of Hodge, many showing them playing with my very social fur baby. When I returned home after a 10-day trip, the house was immaculate and my mail and newspapers were neatly piled up on the kitchen counter. I knew that with Merissa and Nick my cat was getting the best care possible and was very happy, which gave me complete peace of mind to enjoy my vacation.”

About: Hi! I’ve lived with animals my whole life and now have a two year old cat and a one year old Australian Shepard we’re raising along side our 5 and 2 year old daughters! I have an extremely flexible schedule and would love to help out other local dog parents who need a hand when they can’t be around. I look forward to meeting you! I’m a nanny who currently works part time! My oldest goes to school and my youngest will be joining her in the fall. I’ve dog sat for friends and they’ve often come with me so even if they’re around and my husband isn’t, I could still be available. I love playing with our high energy dog and have trained her to do some pretty cool tricks. I definitely have a lot of patience for our animals as well. We stay pretty active and while we’re working on our fence we have a long lead in the back yard. I have a large playpen as well as a few crates if needed while having a dog in our home! Our dog loves all other animals and so do our kids so as long as yours is comfortable around other dogs and kiddos they’re welcome to come play!

“Laney did a great job checking in and taking care of my Liam during the holiday weekend. I am very thankful for her help and communication! She is trustworthy, reliable, and follows instructions well.”

“Despite snowy conditions, Heather made it over to take care of my cats through the Christas holiday! She also patiently worked through one of my cat’s less friendly behavior.”

About: I am an occupational therapy graduate student and an animal lover. I do not have a fur baby of my own at the moment due to my moving around, but whenever family or friends need someone to watch their pet, I am always the one they ask! For the summer, I am taking online courses with asynchronous work allowing for a flexible schedule. I work a respite care job on Tuesdays and Wednesdays; other than that, I am free. It is important to keep your pets as comfortable as possible. I am attentive to any special instructions regarding medication or diet. As an OT student, I have a lot of experience in caregiving and am patient. I also provide updates and photos to owners, so they know what their pets are up to!

Perfect for high energy dogs - Elsmere
“Christopher and Chelsea were awesome!! They were very responsive and my pup had great time! My pup can be very timid when meeting new people but came around really quickly! I could tell she was well cared for and would definitely bring my pup back!!”

“This was my first time using Rover and, remarkably, my first time leaving my dog Maddy with someone in their house, and not my own. Lori was wonderful! She answered all my questions before the day, and answered so promptly too. Maddy and Lori's dog Rees were very compatible, even though Rees is much bigger than Maddy. When I came to pick up my dog, Lori said Maddy missed me and was a bit subdued, but that's to be expected for the first time. Maddy was perfectly fine, and happy to see me when I came to pick her up. I will be booking with Lori and Rees again. Practice makes perfect!”

About: 🐾 I’m absolutely obsessed with cats—and honestly, that’s the biggest reason I’m here. Rover isn’t just a side thing for me… I genuinely love spending time with cats and getting to know all their unique personalities. At home, I care for three cats of my own, so I understand everything from playtime energy to quiet, independent moods. I’m also known locally as a stray cat feeder and caretaker, and I always keep cat food in my car—because you truly never know when a hungry kitty might need help. Caring for animals isn’t something I “turn on”—it’s just part of who I am every day. While cats are my specialty, I’ve recently been spending more time around dogs as well and have become increasingly comfortable and confident with them. I’m patient, attentive, and quick to adapt to different temperaments, whether your pet is energetic, shy, or somewhere in between. When you trust me with your pet, you’re getting someone who is: ✔️ Reliable & responsive ✔️ Gentle, patient, and detail-oriented ✔️ Experienced with multiple-cat households ✔️ Truly passionate about animal care I’ll treat your pet like they’re my own—with love, respect, and close attention to their needs. Whether it’s feeding, playtime, medication, or just keeping them company, I’ve got it covered. I’m also very flexible and able to travel, so feel free to reach out with whatever you need—I’m happy to make it work!! Pet care fits perfectly into my routine. I recently bought a house here in Albany, so it’s just me and my studies now — which means I have plenty of time and flexibility to devote to caring for your cats. As a law student, my classes are only on Mondays and Wednesdays, so the rest of the week I’m fully available to spend quality time making sure your cat (or cats!) get the love, attention, and care they need. In a client’s home, I focus on keeping your cat’s routine consistent and stress-free. That means fresh food and water on schedule, a clean litter box, and plenty of playtime and affection — whether that’s cuddles, brushing, or just quiet company if your cat prefers space. I always make sure to respect your home, follow your instructions closely, and send regular updates so you know your pet is happy and safe. If I’m welcoming a cat into my own home, I create a calm, cozy environment with safe spaces for them to explore or retreat to, depending on their personality. I treat every cat as if they were my own — with patience, attentiveness, and lots of love.
“Patrick and Sara were awesome! They were very flexible with pick up and drop off times and took Zac for a nice relaxing walk in the woods which Zac absolutely loves! And it's nice that my dog had some friends to socialize and play with too. I would not hesitate to book them for future stays. Thank you!”

“We came in to town with our dog having never gone on a plane and never been in daycare. Patty made us comfortable from our first contact with her and provided a wonderful day for our dog. We never worried and got frequent updates and pictures of how great things were going.”

I live and breathe dogs — training, sports, and overall enjoyment are my passion. Your pup will get safe, structured care, plenty of exercise, and personal attention while you get peace of mind and daily updates. We keep a very rigid structured routine. Our day starts between 6-7am, with initial let outs--group play if appropriate to get that morning energy out. Then we settle in for breakfast time, all dogs rest 30 minutes prior to meals, 30 minutes to eat, then followed by another 30-60 minutes to digest. This helps prevent bloat( while any size dog CAN bloat--most often occurs in larger/deep chested breeds, but I take no chances). We then are in and out throughout the rest of the day when dinner time commences between 5-6pm, repeating the same 30-30-30/60 routine. Last let outs and romps wrapping up around 10-11pm. I don't operate a free for all. Fully fenced in yard. Specifically zoned areas for potting and play. Daily house keeping services including vacuuming and daily crate wipe down and disinfection. Dogs are outside as much as we can be, under direct supervision weather permitting.
“Keegan is the best 😍 he shows my dog so much love and affection. He communicates well, is trustworthy and keeps me updated with photos. He is such an amazing person and we are so grateful to have him in our lives. I trust him with all animals.”

“Amazing service! Vera went above and beyond. She was very attentive to Lilly and her needs. So glad that she got to play with Vera’s dogs and that they went on a long walk! We are definitely returning ?”

About: Over the course of my childhood my parents have been teaching me the proper way to care for not just people, but of course, our pets as well. After a while, tending to our pets was no longer so much a task for me as it was for my siblings. Taking care of and spending time with animals in general became something I still enjoy doing to this day, and as far as I know, will be one of my favorite things to do forever. With over 10 years of experience caring for pets of all shapes and sizes, you can feel confident in my professionalism and knowledge of what would be in your pet’s best interest. I want to go beyond just keeping your animal’s needs met but to make sure they feel happy and comfortable at all times.

At home play breaks in the fenced in yard are common practice in my house. Snuggles on the couch are a must! My yard is completely safe for dogs. I always provide fresh water and enjoy spending time with dogs: petting them, playing with them, talking to them and walking them. Dogs are the best! They all have their own personality and there is something special and charming about every dog.
“With both me and my boyfriend working in healthcare and having crazy schedules, we decided to get a puppy. Then our work schedules got flipped and we were panicking on what to do with little man while we both had to work Christmas Eve and day and 12hr shifts. Then came a Christmas miracle, Kaitlyn and her amazing family watched over little Apollo. I was so nervous as this was my first time using Rover and I was unsure about the legitimacy, but Kaitlyn had great reviews and went above and beyond to make Apollo feel welcomed in her home and. She stuck to his feeding and training plan, tuckered him out with tons of play and made sure to update me with adorable pictures throughout the day! If you have a chance to book with her I would say absolutely do it, I would trust her with a human child!!”

“Katharine was extremely easy to work with! She assisted in fulfilling a last minute request, and got along great with my dog! She was able to get my pup to take a walk and eat her food, which are often difficult tasks due to my dogs anxiety. Would 100% recommend Katharine to others!!”

“Jenny is a fabulous, conscientious person and dog walker and we are so glad to have found her through Rover. We look forward to having her walk Frodo when she is available in the future!”

About: Since my husband is strictly a cat person, I got my doggy fix by volunteering at an animal shelter in NYC for years, where I walked dogs of all sizes and helped both dogs and cats find homes. The workdays are pretty busy for me, but I am available most weekends and Fridays if you need someone to drop by and care for your pets! My goal is to help your pets feel comfortable with me, which in turn will hopefully help you feel more comfortable being away from them.
About: Friends, family, and neighbors have trusted me to walk, feed, and bathe their pets. I am a volunteer at an animal shelter so I’m comfortable with both energetic puppies and senior pets who need a bit of extra care. I always make sure every animal feels safe, happy, and loved while their owners are away. I am very aware of enrichment techniques and the best practices to keep dogs feeling calm and happy. Being a college student, I miss my pets from home so much and cherish the opportunity to spend some time with your furry friends. As a college student with a flexible class schedule, I have plenty of time between classes, in the afternoons, and during evenings to care for your pets. I’m available for walks and drop-in visits throughout the week and weekends. I make sure to give each pet my full attention and love during every visit. I provide care in your pet’s familiar environment to reduce stress and keep their routine consistent. I always follow your specific instructions for feeding, walking, and enrichment activities, and I’m attentive to each pet’s unique personality and comfort level. I prioritize safety, trust, and stimulation so your pet feels happy, secure, and loved while you’re away.

“Jessica went above and beyond for Daisy! She was so patient and understanding of our shelter dog's need for slow intros and some extra support learning to walk politely on the leash. She was super communicative and took care to follow all the instructions we gave her. We recommend her highly to anyone who needs walking/petsitting services!”

About: I have years of experience taking care of my dog who is dog reactive, extremely energetic, occasionally resource guards, etc. I also have experienced going through professional training with said dog. I also have experience taking care of my senior medical needs cat. My schedule is very flexible. I have to give my own cat her medication each morning and night, however that is my only schedule perimeter. I am available most days of the week and weekend except for a select couple weekends this summer. My availability ends mid August. I care for the animals I am in charge of with acute attention. These pets are peoples loved ones, their furry children, and I don’t take that lightly. They deserve love, attention, engagement, and a safe environment for them to succeed in.
About: I have 9+ years of experience with walking dogs, and years of experience in feeding, training, playing, and caring for both dogs and cats. My entire life I have always been drawn to animals, and am a huge animal lover! In my early teen years, I worked at a dog daycare where I oversaw the care of up to 14 dogs at one time. It was a huge responsibility, but I looked forward to going to work each shift I had because to me it didn’t even feel like work, it felt like a reward getting to care and play with so many animals. Whenever I go anywhere whether it’s a walk around my college campus, a family or friends house, or the park, I am always immediately drawn to all the dogs I see and always ask if I can take a minute to pet each dog. A multitude of family and friends have consistently told me that it’s evident how much I love animals, and how well I get along with them. I am someone you can trust to make sure your pet gets the best possible care when you are gone. As a former cat owner and current dog owner myself, I know just how much love and care pets need on a day to day basis. Whenever I am away from my dog who is my bestfriend in the whole world, I definitely can feel anxious or stressed. I am dedicated to keeping pet parents up to date on the wellbeing of your pets with photos, videos, up to date messages and anything else you’d like as a pet parent (I am happy to do facetime calls too!!). I will always be available and reachable when I am with your pet to answer any questions, concerns, or even just send over some extra photos if you are really missing your furry companion! Additionally, your pets wellbeing and safety is my top priority. I have worked hard to familiarize myself with signs of distress and discomfort in animals, and if anything doesn’t look right I will not hesitate to jump into action to make sure your pet is safe. My dog has had a few scary incidents, and as difficult as it was, it helped to prepare me to know the signs when something is not right and know what to do in case of an emergency. I decided to join rover because I wanted the opportunity to help take care and hangout with animals on a regular basis because it is truly something I absolutely love. I am hard working, enthusiastic, dedicated, and I will care for your pet as if it is my own. I hope you will consider entrusting me to care for such a valuable member of your family! • * Please note I require meet and greets with all potential pet clients BEFORE bookings!* I am currently a full time college student, so I have lots of extra time to care for your furry companion. I am very flexible, and when I am not in classes or other school commitments I have a very open schedule to care for your pet! Currently, I offer services within the clients home for walks or check ins with your pet. I am very flexible, and will work with you to get to know what routine works best for your pet. At this time due to a family members allergy, I am not able to offer boarding services in my home.
“What would we do without Maria?! Even on a hit day, Maria makes th effort to give our dog a long walk, providing both exercise and affection. So grateful!”

About: I’ve been caring for animals for over 15 years, both personally and professionally. As a lifelong dog mom, I know firsthand how much our pets mean to us—they’re family. Beyond daily walks and playtime, I have experience with administering medications, caring for senior pets, and keeping anxious pups calm and comfortable. My background as a registered nurse has made me attentive, reliable, and detail-oriented, which carries over into the way I care for animals. You can trust that your pet will not only be safe with me, but also loved, spoiled, and treated with the same patience and compassion I give my own dogs. I am currently working part time and have availability in my schedule to love and care for your pet. I have pets of my own and would love nothing more than to have clients who are comfortable knowing they will receive care that is above and beyond. I treat all pets like they are my own. I have a fenced in yard where your pet can run and play. I also have spare rooms if they need to be separated for any reason, safety being my main concern.
About: For a year, I walked my neighbor's Cavalier King Charles spaniel while she was recovering from a hip injury, until she could walk better. She and her daughter greatly appreciated my help and have said to me that their dog Cooper has been so much happier ever since he met me. I am a college student that goes to school 5 days a week from 7am to 2 pm. I can do early morning walks before 7am since I am a morning person, and I can do walks or come over after class. I am free on most weekends. I am free most of the time in the summer from June to August. I cannot bring pets into my home since I have two cats that are not very pet-friendly. But I can do all the care you need me to do at your house.
“Great communication & service. I was in a terrible predicament &;Heather was great & alleviated a lot of stress. My dog is a great judge of character & he took to Heather immediately. Highly recommend”

About: I’ve had my own animals, both cats and dogs (mainly cats) since I was 6 years old. I’ve had to administer insulin before to my diabetic cat that has since passed. My experience with dogs are mainly of the bigger size (I had a pitbull/boxer mix and a pure bred chow chow). I’m currently working as a Direct Support Professional overnights 9pm-9am Thursday through Saturday (technically Sunday 9am). So I’m pretty open for picking up last minute gigs if needed. I would love to have a break down of your pets day to day. Typically when they are most ready to play or eat. When potty breaks need to be done around.
About: I have been working in animal and the dog sitting space since 2020. I have managed a range of pets from rats all the way through dogs. I have worked with sick animals before (administering diabetes shots, cleaning wounds and stitches) and am comfortable doing that moving forward. I have worked with many dogs at a time (up to three) many times in my career. I have also worked with nervous and reactive dogs as well. Overall I really have seen it all. I work a standard 9-5. That being said I work from home every other week, so depending on the week I can spend much more time in the home and provide more supervision. I love to be active so making time for walks and outside time will always be a priority. With weekends off I can spend those full days with your precious pet. I ensure that your pet is healthy, happy and comfortable. I let them become used to me and work around them. This is their space a they should feel safe there.

“Chelsea and Chris were amazing!! Munson came home well rested and loved. I am so grateful to them and so happy I found them. The constant pictures and communication was awesome. I take comfort in knowing there is someone I can leave him with - who will love and care for him as if he were their own.”

“Cache is absolutely amazing with our nervous boy, we appreciate all that she does for him while he’s there with her! He loves all the fruit he gets to snack on especially!”

“Bob & Kristine are extremely kind and attentive. We never had to worry about our puppy’s care while we were away. They always send updates and pictures, and our puppy felt right at home. We would highly recommend them!!”

“Sam was so amazing! She watched our girl Winnie for a week. Winnie is an anxious girl but Sam made her feel right at home. She always sent updates every day so we could see that Winnie was doing good and we know she had a great time! We will be using Sam again in the future!”

“Christopher and his wife did a wonderful job watching my Australian Shepherd. I appreciate the daily updates with pictures. She was well loved and cared for. Would book again.”
