It's been 2 years I'm taking care of my 2nd floor neighbor's companion, I use used to own 2 dogs in my home country Belgium I'm generally available: Weekdays: 10am-2pm and 3pm-7pm Weekends: 11am-4pm I can be flexible with notice or any proposal. I'm Claire, and my husband Jeff and I have over a decade of experience caring for dogs together. We LOVE all the dogs we meet, and showering them with that love is one of our favorite things to do. We have plenty of space for pups with extra energy to burn some off. We also take long, frequent walks and make daily dog park visits (unless your pup is more of an introvert/apartment play kind of a woofer). Our dog Otis is a hound mix who loves to play but also always knows when his buds need space or a calm cuddle session. We're attentive, loving and energetic, which we think is all a pup ultimately needs (well, that, and plenty of toys to chew on and treats to eat, which we also have). We typically only sit for 1 dog at a time (in addition to Otis), but sometimes we'll do 2 if we already know 1 of them well. Please feel free to message me with any questions. We look forward to meeting all your wonderful woofs! I typically work from home 4 days/week. I can work from home every day if sitting for a pup who needs me :) During my work day, I take frequent breaks to play with and/or love on my woofer friends. We create whatever environment your pup needs to feel safe and secure, and we'll follow whatever rules you do in your home. Our default is to let dogs run free, but we can accommodate crates and pens if that's what you prefer. Our dog is allowed on furniture, but we won't let yours if them's the rules.

About: I grew up with dogs and was known as the neighborhood dog walker and sitter throughout my entire childhood. I'm experienced with dogs of all sizes, ages, breeds, and needs. About: I have grown up with dogs my whole life. I took care of my family dog for 15 years, with the last several of those years requiring special care due to his declining health. I have also become the primary sitter for my friend's pets, varying from dogs to cats, which I have sat for frequently over the last 6 years. I am currently working part-time, so I have quite a bit of availability to take your fur babies out for walks, drop-in's, or to pet sit. My mornings and early afternoons are when I have the most flexibility with my schedule and would love the excuse to get outside and give your pups some exercise! I live in an elevator building, so when I care for dogs in my home, I ensure frequent trips outside to go potty and get exercise. Depending on the temperament of the dog, I will determine if taking the stairs or elevator makes the most sense for their comfort level. If I am watching a dog with high separation anxiety, I tend to play soothing white noise to help with any sounds that come from my neighbors or the hallway. With any of the pets I watch, I always make a point to take photos so I can share with their owner while they are away so they can stay connected to their pet. I am unable to watch cat's in my home due to allergies but I am more than happy to drop in to spend time with cats in your home and give them company.
