About: I've taken care of dogs since I was a child. I owned two Miniature Pinschers growing up and I adopted one Australian Shepherd mix that has special needs as an adult. I trained all of my dogs from the time they were puppies until they passed away as seniors. I also volunteered at the Humane Society of Westchester. I've always enjoyed being around animals since I was young and animals tend to feel the same way about me. Animals who are usually timid around strangers are comfortable around me right away and they seem to trust me right away. I feel like connecting with animals (dogs specifically) is a gift that I have. Being a sitter is a great way for me to use that gift in everyday life. I'm able to adapt to the normal routine of the pets that I'm sitting in order to make the process as smooth as possible. I don't have a lot of room in my studio apartment so I'm only able to watch either 1-2 small dogs or one medium sized dog. Large dogs are too big for my apartment. If I'm at a client's home, I'll change my schedule to meet the needs of the pet. I believe all animals are unique and all have different needs in order to thrive in the environment that they're in. I'm willing to meet those needs by building my schedule around the animals that I'm sitting.

About: I have been an animal lover my whole life, but didn’t truly realize my appreciation for them until high school when I started pet sitting (over ten years ago!) I would watch my friends’ pets when they were on vacation, and felt compelled to make the pets’ stay with me a vacation as well 🐶😊. I typically give dogs 2 long walks (30-40 minutes) a day, and take them out in the yard and small walks down the street at least 5 times a day. They get potty breaks every 2-3 hours. I am a VERY active person. I am a marathon runner and avid hiker. No matter what your dog’s activity level is, I will be sure to tucker them out🐶😂. My typical morning and evening walk for dogs is a mile and a half around the reservoir trail in my back yard. I am more than happy to adjust to match your dog’s needs. I live on a small private street. My family and dear neighbors are all nearby. My large yard, close knit community, woods, reservoir trails and loving family truly is a paradise for dogs🐶😊❤️ My schedule varies every day. I can be in and out throughout the day, but never away from home for more than 2-3 hours at a a time. I am typically home for the day by 3pm. Some days I am home all day! It really depends on the week. I live alone and have no pets. I live in a private street with lots of land to explore. I never take dogs off leash when we are outside.

I'm available to walk any pup beginning from late morning into the evening, including multiple times a day. I currently live in a house with 3 acres and a huge back yard with forest surrounding it, so it is not fenced. However, I'm more than happy to walk your dog if there's a fear that they will run into the forest. I'm also open to dog-sitting for anyone going on vacation! Our house is set up to accommodate dogs visiting and staying due to my previous fostering, which is how I came to have my two current dogs. About: I have a certain way with dogs. Even the most skittish chihuahua would find it difficult to hate me! My sister's dog, Marvin, is one of these skittish chihuahuas. At first he hated me. Now we're best friends. I have a soft spot for pitbulls. I am available seven days a week from 7am to 10pm. I am currently a student at Iona College working on my masters in childhood education. The only thing I love more than teaching (besides golf) is spending time with animals. I try to feel out the animal's environment and their relationship to it. I am off in the mornings so drop and visits are easy for people who work 9 to 5 and just want their dog to have some extra time out or to just check in on the cats. There is an option of having your pet here in my space all to themselves or with my personal pets. I have different options of sleeping accommodations for your pet cage, cot and cushioned. Though I do not have a fenced in yard, I have a dog park in my complex as well as a dog park 4 minutes away by car. I can accommodate all diets, including raw diet.

You can request a feeding, if you would like, and I could do a quick scan of the house for any unexpected accidents, and clean them up for you. I can do drop-in visit (15 minutes), or a full 30 minute walk or play in the yard. More time can be requested, if necessary. For cat care, I can clean the litter boxes, feed your cat/refresh their water, and play or cuddle with them. I can also take a quick scan of the house for messes for them also.

The living space Ryan and his boarders occupy is all on one level, which is great for my dog with arthritis. There is a wooded trail for walks adjoining the yard, and a guest bedroom if a dog needs some quiet alone time. I would HIGHLY recommend Ryan and I plan to use him again!”
