About: Pet care found ME... I did not find it. After cuddling with random dogs I'd meet on the street my whole life, someone finally asked me "Why don't you take care of pets professionally?" And thus a career was born (which I've adored ever since). I owned my own pet care company for over 15 years while living in NYC and NJ. Now, I’m based in Ithaca, and look forward to taking care of your fur baby! I am not working full time and have plenty of downtime. Thus, my schedule is super flexible and easily adjustable to your pet care needs! I treat all pets as if they were my own. I had a chow chow for many years, which was a member of our family and that is how I view ALL animals. They are part of our lives and our hearts and should be treated with just as much kindness and love as their human counterparts. Hospitality and pet care are my main sources of income. I've cared for many different breeds, ages, temperaments, and quirks all dogs have and I love them all the same. I have two dogs of my own Luke and Yoda. Luke is a 6 year old lab mix around 35 lbs. He is very loving and playful. Yoda is a 5 year old miniature fox terrier mix who has unlimited energy and is the sweetest snuggler. I am home all day with my baby and two dogs of my own so I can give the same care to some extra dogs! I treat every dog as if they are my own. I have lots of extra blankets to make sure they have there own space (i do recommend to bring some of there stuff like blankets, beds, and toys to make them more comfortable) and have extra room to separate them if they need to be alone. I will always make sure they are comfortable, happy, loved, and safe!

About: I have taken care of dogs and cats all my life. In the past 8 years I have lived in CO during that time, I have been through pain and loss. Shortly after moving our dog was diagnosed with bone cancer and then our cat with Heart/Kidney disease. I have experience with caring for sick animals (dogs and cats) - giving medication, subcutaneous fluids, frequent bathroom breaks/issues, also first hand experience with separation anxiety I have currently moved back to my home in the Finger Lakes of New York! About: I've cared for dogs of different sizes over the years and I love to cuddle, walk, and pamper pups. We have a fenced in back yard and I like to take long walks with dogs if they're up for it. We have a 4 year old boxer/hound mix who is sweet with people but not great with other dogs. We keep him away from guest dogs, there's lots of room in the house for each dog to have their own space and still get lots of love from me and the family. I work from home and have a very flexible schedule. I take breaks through the day to care for puppies, whether that's a quick potty break, fun walk, or play time with balls and toys. When boarding, I make sure pups get any meds they need, plenty of time outside, and snuggles on the couch (if they're the snuggling type). I know some dogs need longer or shorter walks, and I make adjustments based on what they need.
About: My whole life I have been into only 1 thing! And that is animals. By the age of 13 I was volunteering at a local horse rescue everyday after school and by the age of 18 I was volunteering at my local SPCA feeding and walking dogs. I went to college at SUNY Cobleskill for 4yrs and graduated with honors and received my bachelors degree in Animal Science. I studied many different training techniques with both horses and small animals, I even learned how to clicker train a chicken! ;) I’ve taken classes in care, management, training, behavior issues and many more. After graduation I became a riding instructor and horse trainer at a near by stable. I now run my own business as an equine dentist which leaves me with tons of extra time as I usually only schedule trips 1-2x a week! I currently have 4 horses, 2 cats, 1 really friendly German Shepherds, small Maltese, a ball python, and a Quaker Parrot named Echo. I have my own business! As an equine dentist I normally can only visit farms when owners are home so that means most weekend days are spent doing that while during the weekdays I’m totally free! Yard behind the house for the dogs, it is fenced off. We own a 3 bedroom so plenty of room for more animals! I am right in town so I can take dogs for walks or to the park. I share my house with my bf and his 10yr old sister who is my foster daughter. Also a huge animal person!

I have experience with training as well, having trained my own service dog who went to college with me. As I got older I learned more about the importance of animal care. I have pet sit my families dogs many times as well as friends and neighbors. I not only pet sit but walk and run dogs! I believe that exercising dogs both mentally and physically is very important. Since I work from home and have a very flexible schedule, I take my dog, Bear, outside at least 6-8 times per day, and always take him on a long walk (45 min) in the afternoon or evening. I also do at least one basic obedience / trick training session with him. If you want, I can definitely follow the same pattern with your dog, and work on basic obedience training or even teach your puppy a few tricks during the stay at my home. I use Rover myself when I need to travel, so I know how nerve racking it is to leave your fur baby with someone else. I am not accepting older dogs / dominant dogs at the moment because my puppy was attacked recently, so to ensure his safety I will only be working with young dogs for the moment. I have a business that I run from home and my schedule is super flexible. I take my dog outside for breaks at least 6-8 times per day, as well as for a long walk (45 minutes) at least once. Since we live close to Buttermilk State Park, we go there often for our walks. I also love to exercise my dog mentally with training sessions. I do them once a day. I would follow this same routine with your puppy if he/she stayed with me. The safety of your puppy is my number one priority. For this reason I require a Meet & Greet for all new clients to ensure my dog and yours will get along. I have a nice sized backyard that is partially fenced. I have a run in place for my dog I often take him there on a leash as well. Your dog will have access to the whole house. I will be supervising your puppy all day, the same way I do mine. I homeschool my 9 year old daughter, so I have a lot of time to care for your puppy. We usually take our own pup, Bear, on walks during the day. I am very detailed oriented. I will follow all your instructions to endure your pet’s safety. I will give all the cuddles and love also ;)

About: I’ve cared for dogs for 10 yrs and have owned a cattle dog mix for 6! I’ve fostered and pet sat dogs, cats, and kittens throughout that time. I have experience giving medication, basic training, and am detail oriented when it comes to any special instructions.
