“Trulie was wonderful with our Shih-Tzu Shazam! She has a big beautiful yard for dogs to run around in and 2 fellow Shih-Tzus that mine could chill with. She is very loving towards Shazam and sent pictures and updates on how he was doing - she always made sure he was safe and comfortable (and well-loved)! Will definitely bring Shazam back!”

“Christina and fam are wonderful! It's very clear that they deeply care for their own pets and did everything possible to make sure our two little old ladies were right at home. For me, one of the biggest ways to tell how things went is during pick up. When I got there, my dogs were of course excited to see me but clearly felt right at home with Christina, weren't stressed out or any of those other kinds of things you might look out for. We are so pleased with everything, we are booking again!”

“Megan took very good care of Amber. I got updates and photos regularly. I completely trusted leaving Amber with Megan and her family. I had a wonderful feeling about them as soon as we met. I could tell that Amber had fun staying with them and I will definitely use Megan for future times when I’m on vacation.”

“Madelyn’s place is dog heaven for our Lab. She’s super easy to communicate with, gave us great info and feedback and was not phased by our energetic pup. Will plan to return!”

“Our first experience with Patty and Randy, a meet-n-greet, was very positive and comfortable. When we left our little dog with them, Patty went the extra mile to help ease him into the stay since he was a little nervous. By the time we picked him up the next afternoon, he was one of the gang and very happy! We have already booked future stays.”

“So happy we found Kendra! We are new to the area and had to find a new sitter. Kendra was reassuring our pup would be in good hands, asked all the right questions to ensure she could give good care, and was flexible with our schedule. Our girl enjoyed her stay and we’ll definitely be booking again!”

“This was our second time using Olivia to take care of our cat while we were out of town. She did a great job! Olivia is a great communicator and takes excellent care of our cat. I’d definitely recommend her services to anyone looking for a good pet sitter, and I look forward to booking her again for future sits.”

About: I cat-sitted for 2 years at my old condo in Bethesda Maryland, dropping in to care for, play, feed and change out the litter for three of my neighbors' cats. I also owned a beautiful rescue tuxedo cat for 2 years during and after college who I absolutely adored.
“Rachel as always did an amazing job taking care of my two kitties! Very communicative and sent lots of pictures to update me. I would highly recommend her and Dylan to anyone looking for a sitter!”

About: I have five years experience in taking care of pets, I have mostly taken care of cats and dogs. I am versed in walking dogs, including non-dog friendly pets. I also have skills in taking care of animals that need special care, such as older or with health conditions that require medications. I truly enjoy being around them. Traits that are important to my success with animals are my patience, reliability, and integrity. I also have a desire to aid people, and engage with them. I am flexible and willing to learn new techniques if given the chance.

“Kiara was amazing with my cat, Ekko, and I’m so grateful for the care she provided. From our first meet and greet I could tell she had a natural way with him. She got his attention right away and started playing with him, which made me feel confident about leaving him in her care. While I was away, she was always punctual, reliable, and easy to communicate with. She sent detailed updates and plenty of photos, and her notes showed she was really paying attention to him. I always knew how he was eating, how he was playing, and what his mood was like, which gave me a lot of peace of mind. Ekko clearly bonded with her. He warmed up quickly and it was clear she understood how to give him the affection he loves while also keeping up with his playful side. I also appreciated her flexibility. She was willing to adjust her visits when needed to make sure Ekko got enough attention, and she was respectful of my home so everything was in good order when I returned. Overall, Kiara went above and beyond. She is reliable, trustworthy, and genuinely cares for the animals she looks after. She gave Ekko the love and attention I hope for in a sitter, and gave me complete peace of mind. I would absolutely book her again and recommend her to anyone who wants a sitter who will treat their pets with real care and kindness.”

“Cat has been absolutely amazing with my dogs. She is incredibly knowledgeable, patient and a true dog whisperer! One of my pups has been anxious as of late and Cat was nothing short of patient and kind and worked with my pup to help her feel more comfortable. I’m so thankful for the love and care she shows my dogs.”

“Cindy helped us through a very complicated time. It was her first time sitting rabbits (we have two) and she was going to just be doing daily drop-ins with them. While we were out of town, the Hawk fire evacuated our home and she took the bunnies into her home until the evacuation was lifted. We are so grateful for her and her families support and flexibility. Thank you Cindy!”

About: With over 7 years of professional sitter experience, I’m the person you call when you have a very specific way that you like things done, and would really like to leave town without worrying about any of it😆 I genuinely love getting to know animals. I actually want the detailed instructions. My background is in private home management and personal concierge work, so looking after the house comes naturally to me too. If I’m staying in your home, I’m paying attention for mail and packages that may come in. Pet areas kept clean. Plants don't mysteriously die. Trash doesn't pile up. If something looks wrong, I notice it. I've cared for multiple-pet households, senior dogs, pets with special needs and homes during multi-month stays. I'm CPR/First Aid certified for cats and dogs, comfortable following medication routines, including oral and injected medications. I work remotely, which gives me an abundance of flexibility and means I actually do spend time with the animals I'm caring for😉 I work remotely, so I organize my schedule around the animals I'm caring for rather than trying to squeeze them into my day. Morning walk at 6:30? Fine. Medication with dinner? Can do. Your dog insists on conducting a complete neighborhood security inspection before bed? Why not? Because, apparently that's what we're doing! 🤷🏾♀️😆 I enjoy it and try to make it fun for your pet. I care for pets in their own home whenever possible and I follow your routines for meals, walks, medications, playtime, bedtime rituals, and all the little quirks that make your pet your pet. I’m also looking after the household while I’m there too. I keep things tidy, bring in packages, monitor the home, and make sure you return to happy pets and a cared-for space. I’m warm with animals and extremely self-sufficient. I'm also a good communicator. You're going to hear from me. You'll get photos, updates and anything important that comes up while you're away And if your dog happens to look suspiciously happy without you, I will gladly provide photo evidence. 😁

“Danika was an absolute life-saver when our cat ended up going to the emergency vet just a few days before my family and I were going on vacation for a whole week after. As he recovered from his vet visit, he required constant care which involved multiple check-ins a day, monitoring how often he drank water, ate his food, and used the litter box. He also needed to be given 3 different medications on different time schedules, 2 of which required being administered with a syringe in his mouth. Danika was able to do all of this and even texted us updates after each visit to let us know how things were going. Her availability on such short notice along with her attention to detail and genuine love and care for our cat gave us the peace of mind we needed to enjoy our vacation without feeling worried the entire time. I would gladly book her again in the future and highly recommend her to anyone else needing someone to look after their kitties. Huge props to Danika!”

About: I have 2 silly, active and sweet cats at home currently. They don’t always get along so I’m pretty familiar with the hot and cold nature of our feline friends. I would love to check in on your cats! I can’t accommodate boarding cats in my home at this time however just due to my 2 brats and their attitudes.

About: For cats specifically I have lots of hands-on experience including a year of volunteering at a cat sanctuary feeding, socializing, and cleaning litter boxes for up to 30 cats of all ages and personalities. I also have two cats of my own that are 10 years old, so I have plenty experience with a variety of litter box setups and routines, as well as administering both pills or liquid medications. I understand that cats are very routine oriented animals, and I will make sure to stick to their routine and follow any special instructions that you leave for me to ensure they are comfortable while you’re away! Whether your cat is a social butterfly who wants lots of attention, or a shy kitty who prefers to keep their distance, I’ll respect their individual personality and let them set the pace. Cats are my one true love and I can’t wait to help care for yours!

“I recently had the pleasure of using Melissa to care for my dog, Mocha, and I couldn't be happier with the experience. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that Melissa genuinely cares about the dogs she looks after. And when she says, “you don’t need a dog bed”, you really don’t! Lol Mocha looked so comfortable and relaxed in her home, which immediately put me at ease. Melissa was incredibly accommodating, addressing all of Mocha's needs and keeping me updated throughout the stay. It's such a relief to know I have a reliable and caring person to leave Mocha with when I'm away. Highly recommend Melissa's services!”

“Faith was awesome! She took a last minute request for me and did awesome with my pup! My boy came back happy and tired. Definitely will be using her services again. Thanks Faith!”

“Samantha is very sweet, and you can tell that she really loves the dogs in her care. I felt immediately at ease to leave my pup in her care. She has the perfect set up to care for small dogs.”

“This was our first time booking through Rover.com and we cannot be more pleased! Wendy took excellent care of our animals while we were away and sent us frequent updates. Before our trip she came to meet our pets and review their needs. We felt very comfortable with leaving our fur-buddies in her capable and experienced hands.”

“Very sweet, really cared about our dogs! It was our first time leaving our babies with anyone and we couldn’t have found better people to watch them. Will definitely be back”

“Shawna has been amazing with our 14 week old puppy Bridges. He always comes home completely pooped and I can tell he feels very comfortable around her family and house. Would 100% recommend!”

“Our doodle had a fun time with Jessica for the 3 days we were having fun skiing! It's always insightful to see a dog's reaction after the first day of Doggy Day Care and our pup was very happy to run up to Jessica each day. Jessica was great with human communication as well and made all the logistics easy for us with prompt communication. We really appreciated that our high-energy pup got lots of playtime since we didn't have much energy for a long walk after a day on the slopes. We highly recommend Jessica -- 4 paws up!”

“Our puppies love Danielle! Getting excited as we pull up to her house and then jump out of the car and run to the door and into her place! They are so happy there. Thank you for the peace of mind, Danielle!”

About: I’ve cared for dogs of all ages, sizes and personality for years and I continue to care for them now. I’m experienced with walks, feeding, bathing, playtime, and administering basic medications. I’m currently working remotely part-time, so I have a lot of free time and flexibility. I can’t think of anything better to do during my time than care for animals! I have a safe, pet-friendly home with a fenced yard where pets can play and get fresh air. I also have one friendly dog who can provide companionship, but I can easily separate or crate dogs if needed to ensure every pet feels safe and comfortable. I’ll always follow your pet’s routine and provide them with plenty of attention, care, and love.
“Destiny is fantastic! My dog Cherry is quite timid, but Destiny knew exactly what to do! She sent me ample updates throughtout the day as well as giving me a run down of how the day went when I went to pick her up. Also, she knew exactly how to introduce our dogs together (even offering a meeting time before my scheduled daycare day) as she is very well-versed in dog body language. I will definitely be a repeat customer!”

“Brittany was great! Very good communication. Sent pictures of my pup during the day and was mindful of my old girl’s joints, making sure she didn’t play too hard. Would definitely use Brittany again!”
“Kathy was wonderful from the start and I wouldn't hesitate to have our dog Samson stay with her again. She is very communicative and has a wonderful, calming vibe that I can imagine is great for the dogs. Samson spent the day playing with her sweet dog, Gypsy, and we loved getting photos throughout the day of them together. We were in town for a wedding and there were no problems picking him up late, that's so rare and much appreciated. Only wish we lived here so Samson could hang with Kathy and Gypsy more often!”

“Rufus really enjoyed himself and Young offers exceptional service in his beautiful South Reno home. Would definitely recommend his day care for your precious pup.”

“Super friendly!! I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to find someone to take care of my dog Edward last second so Timothy was a lifesaver!! Edward didn’t want to get in the car after so I can tell he loved spending time with him, will definitely book him again in the future!!!”

“If I could give more than 5 stars, I would! He has quickly become such an important part of Zara’s routine. The second she realizes he’s at the door to pick her up, she completely loses her mind with excitement—it’s the sweetest thing to watch. She absolutely adores him, and it’s clear the feeling is mutual. He is incredibly patient, attentive, and genuinely cares about the dogs he looks after. Knowing Zara is happy, loved, and so excited to spend time with him gives me complete peace of mind. It’s not easy finding someone you trust with your dog, but I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable, caring, and trustworthy dog sitter. About: I have always grown up with pets (dogs, cats, birds, fish…even a reptile or two!) I adopted my pup, Hurley, nearly 15 years ago and it has been one of my joys to have her in my life. I am experienced in caring for dogs of all ages, helping you practice any training you might be working on with your pooch, dispensing medications and other care needs, as well as keeping your furry friend safe if they have any anxieties or other difficult behaviors. While I am not a trainer, I have kept up regular formal, positive reinforcement training with my dog and we’ve also taken lots of fun classes like agility and nose training—meaning I know lots of fun games to keep your pup engaged during my visit. I also have experience caring for ducks and chickens, small reptiles and birds. I am a freelance consultant so my days tend to be pretty flexible. I am generally available throughout the day to care for your pooch. I am an attentive care-giver. I will follow all instructions, ensure your dog is safe in its environment—whether we are walking or playing. I have experience with dogs with medical or other special needs and will always ask about your preferences for care.
“Janet came through for us again! This time I had 2 walks booked a couple weeks out. The day before each walk, she texted to let me know she would be there as scheduled. Such a nice thing to do!”

About: Worked closely with dogs and cats in a general practice veterinary clinic, developing a strong understanding of animal behavior, body language, and overall welfare. Gained experience recognizing signs of good health as well as changes in behavior or condition that may indicate illness or stress. Prioritized providing calm, compassionate care while ensuring each animal's safety and comfort, building confidence in handling pets with a variety of personalities and needs. I work full-time from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. On those days, I'm available for check-ins or potty breaks before 7am or after 5:30pm, resulting in 8+ hours. On Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, I have a much more flexible schedule and can provide drop-in visits, potty breaks, walks, or playtime every couple of hours as needed. I'm committed to making sure each pet receives reliable care, attention, and plenty of love while you're away. Your pet's safety and comfort will always be my top priority. I take extra care to prevent escapes by being mindful around doors, gates, and leashes, and I always pay close attention to each pet's body language to help them feel comfortable and reduce fear or stress. I understand that every animal has a different personality, and I'm happy to work at their pace to build trust. For everyone's safety, I do not offer boarding in my home or bring my own pets to client homes, as I have a reactive dog and cats of my own. This allows me to give your pet my full attention in the environment where they are most comfortable.
“Rachel and Dylan are awesome! They respond quickly. They take great care of our fur babies! I can tell they actually enjoy our dogs and I feel like my dogs are happier when we get home compared to others in the past! We will definitely try to book them when we need our next Rover!!!”
About: I work from home, so dogs in my care are never left alone and always have company, attention, and love throughout the day. They get multiple walks, dog park time, a calm cozy environment, toys, music, and their own comfortable space to relax. They’re also welcome on the furniture and can sleep in bed if that’s what they’re used to. I truly see dogs as family members, not pets. I treat them the way I would treat my own child — with patience, affection, protection, and lots of care. I love having them near me while I work, and I make sure they feel safe, included, and deeply loved every moment they’re here. Pet care fits naturally into my routine because I work from home, so I’m around and available throughout the day. That means your pet gets more attention, regular potty breaks, and consistent companionship—not just a quick visit. On a typical day, I can plan morning, midday, and evening walks/potty breaks, plus playtime and feeding around my work schedule. I keep things structured but flexible, so I can match your pet’s routine (especially helpful for puppies, seniors, or pets that need extra check-ins). Whether I’m caring for pets in my home or yours, my priority is always the same: safety, routine, and a calm environment. I’m detail-oriented, I follow your instructions closely, and I keep you updated so you feel confident the whole time. In your home (drop-ins / house sitting): I stick to your pet’s normal schedule for feeding, potty breaks, walks, and playtime. I do safety checks (doors/gates secured, leashes/harnesses fitted correctly, no access to unsafe items). I keep the space tidy and stress low—especially for pets who do best in their familiar environment. I send photo/video updates and notes after visits. In my home (boarding / daycare): Calm, supervised environment with plenty of attention since I work from home. Frequent potty breaks, exercise, and structured downtime. I keep pets separated when needed (feeding time, high energy, or if a dog prefers their own space). Only pet-safe areas are accessible—no unsafe foods, small objects, or risky spaces. My safety rules, always: I don’t take dogs off-leash unless it’s a securely fenced area and you’ve approved it. I use positive reinforcement (no harsh methods). I watch for signs of stress or illness and communicate quickly if anything seems off. My goal is for your pet to feel comfortable and for you to feel totally at ease.
About: I've taken care of a variety of pets for almost the entirety of my life--dogs, cats, rabbits, birds--you name it and I have had them as friends. I've also taken care of large houses, farms, and gardens over the last decade. Most recently I became a cat foster mom helping socialize cats and kittens while giving them a loving transitional space before they find their furever homes. As much as I love pets I don't currently have one so I have plenty of availability for yours! The dog on my profile is my mom’s, I sometimes help her find care for him. I'm a writer so I work from home, freeing me up for all kinds of fur family adventures and care taking opportunities. Since I'm home you can be sure that your fur baby will be well watched and loved upon. I'm available seven days a week. As a responisble, professional house sitter, I have house sat homes and farms all over the world and I treat each space with the utmost care. I ensure that each home is returned in the same condition it was given to me in, fresh sheets and all. I treat every pet like they're a member of my family because they're a member of yours. I learn the personalities of each fur baby and accommodate them as necessary. I have experience with senior pets as well as special needs pets and those with quirky personalities--it just makes them all the more lovable to me!
“We are so happy to have met Neesa, she’s always available and promptly helps us with our pets, long walks, follows all directions and goes above and beyond by bringing boxes and trash bins in.”

About: Hi, I’m Kiara! I’ve always had a soft spot for animals, and I know firsthand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your furry family members. I have experience caring for both dogs and cats, from playful puppies and kittens to senior pets who need a little extra patience and love. Whether it’s going for long walks, playing fetch, giving belly rubs, or making sure your pet gets fed and cared for on schedule, I’m here to make sure they feel safe, happy, and loved while you’re away. I treat every pet as if they’re my own—lots of attention, cuddles, and care. I’m reliable, communicative, and happy to send updates so you can feel at ease knowing your pet is in good hands. Whether you need daily walks, drop-in visits, or overnight pet sitting, I’ll make sure your pets get the exercise, love, and attention they deserve. I’m currently unemployed and a new first time mommy just trying to make ends meet. I am available 24/7 and I am okay with last minute bookings! When caring for pets in their own home, I make sure they stay on their usual routine so they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I’ll provide fresh food and water, clean up after them, and give them the love and attention they’re used to. For dogs, that means plenty of walks, playtime, and belly rubs to keep them happy and exercised. For cats, that could be play with their favorite toys, brushing, or just quiet company for more independent kitties. I always take time to understand each pet’s unique personality and needs—whether it’s an energetic pup who loves adventure or a shy cat who just needs gentle care. I’ll keep food and litter/walk areas tidy, follow your instructions closely, and keep an eye out for any changes in behavior or health. I’m also happy to send regular updates and photos so you can feel reassured that your pets are safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away.

“Very fast at responding - felt safe dropping my newly adopted dog for her first ever night away from home. I enjoyed Sarah having the presence of other dogs for socialization. 10/10 would return again with Chloe :)”

“We continue to use Susan every time we go out of town. We love knowing he is going to be taken care of, and that he gets to spend his days on long hikes playing with Susan and her dogs. Thank you Susan!”

“Hands down the best rover experience I’ve had. Shannon and David were communicative (twice daily updates and pictures, I didn’t need to check in) and gave me a peace of mind I sincerely appreciated. Plus they were just kind people in general. Definitely recommend and would use again!”

“Julia and her family are the best, they are very loving and caring and I will for sure use them again to watch Charlie. Our dog is very insecure and sensitive and he seemed very comfortable almost immediately. Thank you for taking such good care.”

“Shanna’s place was amazing for my high-energy dog! She was very kind and flexible. Our dog is not a couch potato and prefers to play all day and she has great dogs that he enjoyed playing with. She went above and beyond to care for him and we are grateful our pup had a great time.”

“Kat was a great dog sitter. She sent some pictures while I was away. I needed an extra night and they were accommodating which I really appreciate. I will use them again.”

“Brittany was so attentive to the needs of Cherry! Cherry is super shy and needs more time in her adjustment period and Brittany was so good at providing this! Also, throughout Cherry's stay, she kept me updated and sent lots of photos. I definitely would recommend her to others and I will be a repeat customer :).”

“Kathryn was great! She was respectful of our rules while also using her own intuition. The dogs loved spending time at her her house and playing with McGyver.”
