This was our quick test to make sure our dog (and we) could handle the separation for a short period of time, as a bridge to boarding her for a longer stretch of time. “First Impressions Boarding my dog, Lilly, with someone outside the family for the first time made me a little nervous. My granddaughter, who had used Rover before, helped me submit the application and choose a sitter. Even on the way to drop Lilly off, I still felt apprehensive, but that quickly changed when Teresa gave us such a warm welcome and Lilly and I were greeted by Teresa’s three friendly dogs. Although Lilly seemed a bit overwhelmed at first, she soon relaxed after playing in Teresa’s large backyard, and I felt comfortable leaving her there. Updates During Her Stay Teresa reassured me that Lilly would be well cared for and promised to keep me updated. She followed through by sending photos and notes about how Lilly was sleeping, eating, and taking her medicine, which I really appreciated. Pickup and Overall Experience When I picked Lilly up, Teresa told me what a joy she had been to care for. She said Lilly was very sweet, that her daughter had fallen in love with her, and even one of her dogs had taken a liking to her. Teresa also said Lilly would be welcome back anytime. I left feeling grateful for the care Lilly received and would happily trust Teresa with her again.”

About: I have years of experience in the caretaking of animals and I’ve always done it with love, my family and friends always trusted me to care for their pets since I was younger and i’ve always enjoyed it. I love every part of taking care of animals whether its grooming, bathing oral medications administration etc… Animals will always hold a special place in my heart. My schedule is very flexible, I usually stay home and do online school work most of the time, so I’m available really anytime on weekdays and sometimes on weekends. About: I feel as though i have an ability to communicate with animals in ways I cannot communicate with humans. I believe all dogs are gifts from god and we are fortunate to experience their unconditional love. I currently work from home, which allows for a very open schedule, and affords me a lot of freedom when necessary. My dad was supposed to stay with my dog for the long weekend I was away, but last minute he couldn’t and I needed a plan B. I came to Rover to see if I could find a solution and I did- Peter! My pup is very lovable but also not easy, and many are too scared or just don’t want to deal with him. Because of that, I wanted to do a meet and greet first, which Peter happily agreed to. Whether it’s a short trip or a longer stay, I’ll make sure your furry one gets plenty of love, attention, and care in a spacious, comfortable home. I’m available to board mostly of the weekdays, weekends and holidays and can provide a pleasant time and a lot of love for you furry in a big house. I also have a big fenced and safe yard, and they can go outside if they want exercise or just have some fun always supervised when the weather is good. I’m experiencing with different breeds and tempers.
About: I have been taking care of dogs and cats since I was a teenager. From the family dog to the neighbors that are going out of town. I would feed the cats outside that usually ended up becoming a village. I care for two amazing cats now that are well behaved (Orange cat to the best of his abilities). I have an action camera that I can bring along upon request. I also like to take pictures so if allowed I’ll return some great pictures of your pet! I am an early bird that works from home with a very flexible schedule. I also go for evening walks around the park which are usually filled with dogs. Weekends are usually free. My cats get groomed weekly and have a food schedule that adapts well to their growing diet. When we dog sit our friends 2 Australian Shepard they are full of energy and get walked 3 times a day. Same goes for the family Boxer that has a few more years on him so he goes for a mild walk around the park.

“Let me save you some time...if you need a cat sitter and Rita is available, do yourself a favor and just reserve her services. She took care of my cat, Simba, for almost a week, and the whole experience felt like dropping him off at a family member’s that I could trust. Ditto other reviews, Rita’s communication was top notch – pro-actively providing health and status updates and sharing fun pictures/videos at least few times a day. It's very obvious she has a genuine affection for pets. She also exercised a lot of patience approaching and gaining my cat’s trust as he’s very skittish especially in a new environment. Her distinctive ability to read my cat’s body language ensured that Simba was always within his comfort zone (literally the cat whisperer!!) Additionally, her set up’s great with a separate room in her apartment that provided Simba with privacy and alone time that all cats need. Could not recommend her enough for cat sitting!! Gut feel her rates are very fair for the quality of professional service she provides. I’d almost rather drop my cat off with her than family as I can rest easy knowing he’ll be in good hands.
