“This was our first time boarding our new puppy (13 weeks old) and we were nervous but Mercis was so wonderful and met with us and our pup ahead of time so we felt very comfortable before we left our littlest family member for the long weekend. During the stay we can tell our pup had the BEST time, thanks to the great daily pics and communication from Mercis. We were almost worried she wouldn’t want to come home, she loved Mercis’ place so much. 😅 Puppies this young are A LOT of work and Mercis loved and cared for our little girl like she was her own all weekend and even worked on some of her training while we were away. It can be difficult to find someone trustworthy, reliable, and communicative. It can be even more difficult to find someone who is all of those things AND is excellent with dogs. My family has hit the absolute jackpot with Karen’s services. Our older dog has separation anxiety, takes medication, and needs a consistent presence to be successful. We never had to doubt whether Karen could fill these needs for him, and she’s delivered every time. Our younger dog has a lot of energy and has to be let out frequently- Karen’s flexibility and home/yard are perfect to meet those needs. Karen sent us pictures and videos throughout each of my dogs’ stays and provided detailed updates as to how they are doing. We will absolutely be back again, we can’t recommend her enough! 6/5 stars!”

About: We are a family of four! We have my kids 50 percent of the time- they are 8 and 6! We have a fenced in yard that the animals can run in! I work from home so I’m home majority of the day- I leave for some meetings randomly but not for too long. I am the designated care giver for my friends’ and family’s pets and wanted to give Rover a try to put those skills to more use. I currently have two cats of my own and will not be accepting to board animals in my home at this time, but am more than happy to care for your furry or feathered friends in their current space and make sure they’re exercised, fed, and not missing you too much while you’re away! I currently work remotely part time during the week and have plenty of flexibility in my schedule to drive and visit your pets to care for them. Drop in visits typically take about 15-20 minutes, walking or exercising can be 1-2 hours, and sitting can be booked for multiple days. Since I will be only caring for pets in their own homes, my care is fully personalized and customizable to meet your specific needs and requirements. I am comfortable giving medication to pets and am experienced with reactive and emotionally triggered animals.
About: I have 8 years of experience working with dogs of all sizes, breeds, and temperaments from energetic puppies to large breed dogs. I’m very comfortable handling a wide range of needs, including active dogs that require structure and exercise. For the past 7 years, I’ve worked in education as an athletic director, which has strengthened my leadership, responsibility, and ability to stay calm and consistent in any situation. I bring that same level of care, organization, and reliability into pet care. Animals have always been a huge part of my life, and I’ve decided to pursue dog care full time starting this June because it’s truly what I enjoy most. I also have three dogs of my own—a Chihuahua/Husky mix (8), a Chow Chow/Husky mix (7), and a German Shepherd (6) so I understand day to day care, routines, and the importance of treating every dog like family. I focus on creating a safe, structured, and loving environment so pets feel comfortable and cared for while their owners are away. Pet care is becoming a full-time focus in my daily routine. I’ve spent the past several years balancing my work in education while caring for dogs on the side, and I’ve always made time for it because I genuinely enjoy being around dogs. Starting this June, I’ll be transitioning into pet care full time. My schedule will be built around providing consistent walks, drop-ins, and boarding care, with flexibility to meet each pet’s needs. I already care for my own three dogs daily, so my routine naturally revolves around feeding, exercise, playtime, and maintaining a structured and safe environment. Adding client pets into that routine is a natural extension of what I already do every day. My goal is to provide dependable, consistent care so pet parents can feel confident their dogs are safe, comfortable, and well cared for. I primarily focus on dog walking, drop-in visits, and pet sitting in clients’ homes. I follow each pet’s normal routine as closely as possible, including feeding, walks, playtime, medication if needed, and any specific instructions from the owner. My goal is to keep pets comfortable in their familiar environment while providing consistent care, attention, and exercise. I also provide regular updates with photos and videos during each visit so pet parents can feel confident and connected while they’re away. I make sure every home is respected, secure, and left exactly as it was, while ensuring pets are safe, comfortable, and well cared for. If I do provide boarding in my home, I have a fully fenced-in yard for safe outdoor time. Dogs would still follow a structured routine with supervision, exercise, rest, and care tailored to their needs. I aim to create a calm, safe environment where pets feel at home

We don't travel often, but when you need someone to care for your family members you can't just leave them with anyone. We liked that Allie takes on one client at a time. We will be happy to take our pups back and it allowed us to enjoy our time away without added stress.”

“I’m a person who has a lot of difficulty trusting someone with my dogs- I’m very close with them. I’m positive many of the folks reading this review can say the same. It can be difficult to find someone trustworthy, reliable, and communicative. It can be even more difficult to find someone who is all of those things AND is excellent with dogs. My family has hit the absolute jackpot with Karen’s services. Our older dog has separation anxiety, takes medication, and needs a consistent presence to be successful. We never had to doubt whether Karen could fill these needs for him, and she’s delivered every time. Our younger dog has a lot of energy and has to be let out frequently- Karen’s flexibility and home/yard are perfect to meet those needs. Karen sent us pictures and videos throughout each of my dogs’ stays and provided detailed updates as to how they are doing. We will absolutely be back again, we can’t recommend her enough! 6/5 stars!”
