“Carol and her family were very welcoming of Remy and they took him in right at the last minute as another dog sitter did not work out due to other dogs being a little aggressive. I highly recommend Carol and her family for anybody looking for a dog sitter.”

About: I have had dogs from 30lbs to 150 lbs and I have loved them all! In my free time I volunteer hiking with dogs at a local animal shelter. And spend the rest of the time spoiling my two fur babies at home. I work remote and have a flexible schedule that can accommodate a wide range of needs during the weekdays as well as on the weekends. My two fur babies are trained to listen off leash, but love to go for walks on leash. One is a couch potatoes that can be trusted and one a wild puppy that is crate trained. So I am used to a wide range of care needs.
About: I have extensive, hands-on experience caring for a wide range of animals—including dogs, cats, rodents, ferrets, and large livestock. I’ve worked with everything from small pets to high-drive working dogs and large animals like horses and goats. Professionally, I’ve worked as a dog behaviorist and trainer, managing playgroups, training dogs of all temperaments, and safely handling high-energy or reactive dogs. I’m confident in my ability to read body language, prevent issues before they happen, and create a calm, structured environment. I have experience training puppies, working with senior dogs, and administering medications. I’m very attentive to changes in behavior or health and know how to respond quickly if something seems off. I also currently work as an Equine Specialist, where I assist with horse care, training, and overall health, including exposure to veterinary care practices. What sets me apart is my ability to handle a wide variety of animals and situations with confidence, patience, and strong awareness of safety and behavior. My schedule is very flexible. I currently work part-time, which allows me to adjust my availability easily around pet care. I’m able to accommodate daytime, evening, and weekend needs, and I’m reliable for both consistent routines and last-minute bookings. Safety and trust are my top priorities. I take time to understand each pet’s routine, behavior, and specific needs to provide the best care possible. In my home, I offer a safe and structured environment with access to a yard, long lines for safe outdoor time, and nearby areas for both private and public walks, including lake and town settings. I use appropriate, safe equipment such as harnesses, gentle leaders, and martingale collars when needed to ensure control and comfort. In clients’ homes, I follow all instructions carefully and maintain your pet’s normal routine to reduce stress. I’m experienced in handling dogs of all sizes and energy levels, and I always prioritize calm, controlled, and positive interactions.

“Nicole is a gem. She said Chewee was a little nervous at first, but warmed up to her. She even sent a video to show her interacting with Chewee. I greatly appreciate her patience with our precious girl. We will have her over again tomorrow!”

About: With 5 years of professional animal care experience — including work in both a veterinary hospital and animal shelter environment — I’m experienced handling shy cats, senior cats, kittens, and cats with medical or special care needs. I understand that cats thrive on patience, routine, and a calm environment, so I focus on making them feel safe and stress-free while you’re away. Whether your cat loves playtime and attention or prefers quiet companionship and space, I’m happy to adapt to their needs. I can also administer medications, monitor behavior and appetite, clean litter boxes thoroughly, and provide regular updates so you can feel confident your cat is in good hands.
About: I’ve had/been around many different types of dogs my entire life. My family would always want me to come over and train/watch theirs animals for them like I was the go to person for anybody who got a new pet. I also use to volunteer at a boarding company to help feed/walk the dogs. I currently do doordash so I can pretty much fit any request in to my schedule. The most amount of time I would be away would probably be around 5-6 hours. I’m a dependable and caring pet sitter who treats every pet like my own. I know how important routines are, so I make sure pets are fed on time, get plenty of attention, and feel comfortable and safe while their owners are away. I’m patient, responsible, and good at picking up on what each pet needs, whether that’s playtime, walks, or just some extra cuddles. I also like to keep owners updated so they can relax knowing their pet is happy and well taken care of.

“Rebecca is a natural with dogs and she handled our older dog and our puppy both with great love and care. She is reliable and we were able to count on her even with unexpected delays in getting home.”

“Karra is great. She was flexible with us when I messed up the timing in the app. She communicated all the time with us letting us know how our dogs were doing and she was super attentive. Our dogs loved her. We definitely will use her services again.”

Perfect for high energy dogs - Wilton

“Charles is truly a dog person! He takes the time to get to know them and rolls with the punches (or should I say barks, especially in my dogs case!). He’s very caring with the dogs and I felt 100% comfortable leaving my dog there, and since she’s a rescue it was her first time going to a place like this. I highly recommend Charles and Wag N wheels. Great people and great facility!”

“Marissa did a great job with my crazy golden retriever, Huck! She was very prompt and did a great job with him despite the fact that he can be a bit of a puller. She was very accommodating and willing to take him on a jog because he has so much energy!”

About: I bring lifelong experience in canine care, beginning in childhood and continuing through the present. I currently care for five dogs and have extensive hands-on experience managing multiple dogs at once, including the care of three litters and several additional dogs in the past. I am available seven days a week with flexible hours. At this time, I am seeking a position that offers flexibility rather than a full-time commitment, and I am eager to pursue work that aligns with my experience and interests. If needed, I am able to safely crate your dog or place them in a designated area. I am experienced in handling dogs that are uncomfortable walking on a leash and can manage them calmly and confidently. I also ensure that all basic needs are met before departure, including providing food and fresh water.

About: Our family has had pets for many years. We decided to offer our boarding and day care services as a "family" business, and to possible do this during retirement. We are active adults, and still have a teenager in the home that helps with this endeavor, as he is saving up for his first car. I am currently retired and work part time. Other members of the household also work flexible schedules, thus can meet the needs of most pets and pet owners. We are typically available most weekends and holidays. Our home is pet friendly. We have all vinyl flooring, and a large fenced in backyard. We also have the ability to take daily walks as our road is not heavily traveled. We live off the road, and our furry guests really enjoy looking out all the windows and doors at the squirrels, chickens and other wildlife. Our home is usually calm and mellow, so you your pet cannot handle a lot of barking/noise, they will probably love our home! We do not crate our furry friends, except out of the request of the owner. Although we have listed one pet at a time, we will take up to two from the same household.

About: Every dog I meet is a companion full of joy, and excitement. I can't wait to be your canine's next good friend! Experience: At the age of 3 I immediately knew I loved dogs. As I grew, I took steps to surround myself with them. For 3 years in high school I volunteered at my local animal shelter taking all types of dogs on walks, bathing them, and working with them. I learned how to deal with dogs who weren't at their best and who had a wide range of personalities. Then, for two years I worked in a veterinarians office as an assistant due to my undying love of each and every dog. I have hosted dogs in my home in the past here on Rover over the course of 3 years, but now I am operating my fish farm, I am happy to drop in for your animals while you are away. I can give long walks, administer medication, drop in for feeding and litter box scraping, house sit, or farm sit (explicit experience with chicks/chickens/horses/fish/reptiles). I look forward to being a companion for you and your animals. I have a flexible routine on my farm that requires about 2 hours of my time every day. I will fit your animal care around those hours. In my home, my dog lives a life of luxury. I have a philosophy of observing an animal intensely and observing what they may need or want. Each animal has a different vibe and needs me in a different way.

If I make a commitment to care for your family member(s), I will give them TLC as if they were my own. If I had the ability, I would have my own sanctuary. I am currently available to care for your dogs, cats and any other pets that you have. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or to discuss possible arrangements. Best wishes, Arlene I am a newer resident to NC. I unfortunately was laid off from my job during Christmas 2024. Right now , my preference is to work with animals or humans with special concerns. I currently have almost open availability to care for your cherished pets. I can care for other animals as well, including lizards, snakes, fish, birds, bunnies, chickens, even pet rodents! Your pets safety is of upmost concern to me. I will follow whatever guidelines and preferences you have. Written information is helpful. I am extremely trustworthy.

“Amanda is great ! We could not take our little Daisy with us when we went out of state and Amanda definitely made our trip so much easier. after 3 day visits with Amanda we knew Daisy was in great hands and would be well taken care of. I highly recommend her and she will definitely be our first choice if we ever need of someone to look after our Daisy in the future.”

“Carol and her family were very welcoming of Remy and they took him in right at the last minute as another dog sitter did not work out due to other dogs being a little aggressive. Carol and her family took a risk having a new dog that has not been introduced to their dog and I am so grateful of that. When I came back to pick up Remy they had nothing but compliments of how well behaved my dog was as I knew my dog is very well behaved and gets along with everybody. I highly recommend Carol and her family for anybody looking for a dog sitter.”

“Jeremy and his family, boarded our dog, REX, at their house for 2 days. Rex was relaxed and happy when we got home. Jeremy is a very caring person and keeps an excellent communication. He sent pictures and updates. We will definitely book with him again. Thank you so much! 😊 🐶”

We couldn’t thank her enough for accommodating our boy!”

“10/10 would recommend! They are the sweetest bunch and took great care of my cat. All of their furry friends seemed to get along well with her! They sent me photos and updates everyday which were greatly appreciated. And last but not least, they were extremely flexible and kind with letting her stay for another night when I couldn’t make our agreed pickup time.”

“Luis is the best! He was so gracious to pick Egypt up from the hotel location and scheduled the pick up with my mom. Egypt saw him and willingly scampered off to his car. He gave her lots of love attention and walks! Luis sent pictures every morning with comments on her day. We look forward to having Egypt stay with him for future dates!”
