“Jimena did a terrific job of pet sitting my 2 dogs. They were well tended, with excellent communication and photos and videos thru out their stay. I will definitely reach out to Jimena again thru Rover for the next time I need to board them. Thank you, Jimena!”

“Heather was an absolute delight! She told me everything she needed, and told me how she planned to take care of Sutton! I am a bit of an over thinker so that was so sweet to me. Sutton was happy the whole time! She was cared for like she was one of Heathers dogs! She followed Suttons schedule perfectly! I was able to relax and know that Sutton was in good hands while I was on my trip! I will definitely be booking with her again!”

“Excellent care. Fran went above and beyond caring for our dog. He had tummie issues while we were gone and Fran even cooked special food for him and fixed the problem. Her communication was very informative the entire time. Fran even went to our vet for ear drops. Wow! We could not have found a better sitter than her. A real GEM!!!!”

“Jill and her family were amazing! After moving back to my hometown, I was a bit anxious about finding a new sitter for my golden doodle, “Petey”. He was well taken care of and appeared to be sad to leave!!! I am thrilled to have found her! I would highly recommend her! I will definitely be a return customer!!!”

“Lane is great! My dog was well taken care of while my family and I were on vacation for 1 week! Will be using Lane again in the future! Also the daily picture updates are a plus but very grateful for those pictures daily!”

About: “I’ve had dogs as companions since I was a child, and they’ve always been cherished members of my family. I treat every animal in my care like family, making sure they feel safe, loved, and comfortable while you’re away.” “Pet care is a natural part of my daily life, not just a job, but something I truly love. Living in the Appalachian mountains has taught me the value of a calm, grounded lifestyle, and I bring that same peaceful energy into the care I provide. I treat every pet like family and pay close attention to their unique personality and needs, whether they’re playful, shy, elderly, or needing extra comfort while you’re away. My goal is always to help pets feel safe, loved, and at home in my care.” “I care for every pet with the same attentiveness and love that I give my own children. Safety, trust, and comfort are always my top priorities, and I work hard to create a calm, dependable environment where pets feel secure and cared for.
“Lilly and her family were just what my 2 pups needed for our 2 day trip. She was respectful of our requests (no pups on furniture), and offered the right amount and frequency of communication while we were away to assure us our kiddos were behaving, safe, and happy. Her small female dog was also seemingly acclimated to having 'guests'. Would definitely recommend.”

“Katy was great! She was very communicative and willing to flexible about drop off time/location. She sent some updates and pics of Bender, and he was healthy and happy when we picked him up.”

“Laura took great care of our dog Bailey. She was very kind, accommodating, and understanding when we had to change our booking in the last minute. She sent us daily updates and pictures to let us know how Bailey was doing. Bailey had a surgery recently and Laura helped her to fully recover. We would definitely recommend Laura to take excellent care of your furry friend.”

“Do you want your pets to feel so at home and comfortable that they are upset when they leave? Mark's house is the place to be! Due to unforeseen circumstances, Mark helped us on short notice and was able to provide us peace and reassurance that our babies were cared for! Mark kept our male and female German Shepherds, and they had an absolute blast. Mark sent us multiple photos and videos and kept us very up-to-date on what they were doing throughout their visit. He asked questions about their personalities and needs that showcased his care and attention to detail. With his knowledge and experience with German Shepherds, it really shined in the care he provided them! I would definitely recommend Mark, and especially recommend Mark to people with German Shepherds or working line dogs! We and our babies would love to use Mark again!”

“Elizabeth was the perfect sitter for my dog! My puppy is pretty hyper and I was looking for someone that could handle all that energy. Elizabeth responded immediately and kept me updated with photos the whole time. And my pup loved her!”

About: I’ve always been an animal lover, from horses to reptiles! I’ve had dogs and cats my whole life, and some of the others throughout. We recently lost our dog to cancer at just shy of 13 years old, and I’m currently volunteering as a dog walker at the animal shelter to help fill that void. With the limited hours available there, I thought we could try this avenue as well. I work full time, but my daughter and I would love to find a dog to walk Wednesday through Friday evenings, or weekends! We are available some weekends for dog/cat care while you’re away as well. We love walking dogs, playing fetch, petting them, and providing lots of love. We enjoy playing with cat toys, and giving them plenty of attention as well.
“Kelley has been absolutely amazing with my dogs! Thank you for all the photos and FaceTimes! Without a doubt, I would use your services again. Thank you for taking such great care of Aubri and Remi! 💛”

About: I have 10+ years of experience with cat and dog sitting, and also have experience caring for farm animals (I've worked on several farms). I’m comfortable and experienced working with pets of a variety of ages, from young kittens to older senior pups. I am available for pet sitting gigs in your home most days of the week. I also offer doggy day care and overnight boarding in my home Thursday afternoons through Sundays. I’m a flexible and responsive sitter, please reach out to connect! Our home is located in a private, quiet country setting. We have a fenced in yard for pups to play in. We have a dog ourselves who enjoys time with other pups and we also have an outdoor cat. Happy to take dogs on walks, run around in the fenced area, play fetch. etc. And, if cuddling is their thing, then I'll be curled up right beside them. Snugs = the best.

“Melissa and her family made my dog Sasha's stay so wonderful! I am very picky about who I leave my dog with, and do not trust her with sitters often - and Melissa was the perfect sitter to calm my fears! She was so accommodating in every way - pick up and drop off times, date changes, etc. She sent me many pictures and updates on Sasha everyday, and it was a great relief being able to keep up with how Sasha was doing through Melissa's updates. I would recommend Melissa for anyone - her children were VERY sweet, polite, and so welcoming to Sasha during her whole stay. Overall it was a great experience! I will be using Melissa as a sitter in the future for sure. 10/10”

About: Your dog won't just be sitting around in my home, I'll likely be giving it attention or playing with it majority of my time (unless that's not what the dog wants). I love every size of dog, especially very large dogs that love to cuddle. I've owned a lab for 9 years and a blue heeler for 11. My lab has been everything from difficult to the most pleasant dog you'll meet so I have experience with it all. I often go on runs so if you have an athletic dog or one that needs lots of exercise I've got you. I have no time constraints after 2pm half of the week, and 4pm the other half of the week. If I am watching your dog at my place I am definitely not opposed to early morning walks, I enjoy getting up early to walk them.

“Morgan was a fantastic cat sitter for our two cats. We went out of town for two weeks and Morgan was was so communicative, responsible, and kind. I wouod highly recommend Morgan to anyone looking for a pet sitter.”

“Jessica is great. I have two cats and one of them is very shy and the other one is outgoing. They both loved her and I loved that in one of Jessica’s pictures. She actually got a picture of my shy cat rubbing up against her.😻 my cats are very good at judging good people”

“Cady is the best. She did a number of drop-in visits for my senior cat during a trip of mine and she went above and beyond to make sure my cat was cared for and loved. She provided awesome pictures and videos from her visits, with great details of her visits too. She also went above and beyond again by being very courteous with her tidiness and ensuring the house was as good as new when I returned. I can't say enough good things about Cady! Though she was just checking on my cat, her professionalism and care make me sure that she'd be amazing with any pet that comes her way. I highly recommend Cady!”
“Angel is terrific! We are new to the area and needed someone to check in on our 2 cats while we were at the beach for the week. We found Angel to be extremely trustworthy and dependable. Our cats and house were in caring and attentive hands, and we will certainly book her again!”

I work a typical 9-5 and can be available before going into work, after work and before bedtime. I have the ability to work from home some days when needed. About: I’ve always had a love for animals and understand that every pet has their own personality and routine. I take the time to get to know each pet so they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for while you’re away. Whether it’s playtime, walks, cuddles, or simply keeping them company, I treat every pet like they’re my own. My goal is to give you peace of mind knowing your furry family member is in loving, reliable hands. As a college student, I don’t have the time to have a pet of my own right now, so pet sitting is the perfect way for me to spend time with animals while helping other pet owners. I genuinely enjoy caring for pets, whether that means going on walks, playing, or simply keeping them company. Pet care fits well into my schedule, and I love being able to give pets the attention and care they deserve while their owners are away. I primarily provide care in my clients’ homes because I believe pets are happiest and most comfortable in their familiar environment. I follow each pet’s normal routine, including feeding, walks, playtime, medication (if needed), and lots of love and attention. I also make sure their home stays clean and secure while they’re away. If I care for a pet in my own home, I’ll provide a safe, calm, and pet-friendly environment where they receive plenty of supervision, exercise, and affection.

“Dom was great looking after my two cats for four days. I would highly recommend her to others and will definitely have her take care of my cats again! She sent lots of pics and asked questions if one of the cats wasn't eating. She's far and away the best cat sitter I've had!”

I have experience with dogs of all sizes, cats, birds, rabbits, hedgehogs, turtles, horses, cattle, chickens, and ducks through ownership over the years. I have professional experience working at a dog kennel for 7 years. I have worked with special needs animals including diabetic, handicapped and elderly as well as newborn animals. I have a home with 40 acres of creekside land so I can offer boarding services for all dog breeds and provide plenty of interesting hiking, swimming and playing if your pet stays with me. I work away from home two days a week and I am home otherwise, except during my personal activities of course, so I have room for flexability and lots of time spent with your pet! I offer in home pet care and boarding. For those wanting to board, I provide a safe environment with lots of room. I have house with a large amount of land and safe places to walk and play. I have room and experience with safely isolating your pet if there are issues with aggression or if you aren't comfortable with your pet being around other pets. Potty breaks are provided every 3-4 hours for dogs and longer walks or play outdoors at least once a day weather permitting. I am well versed on pairing dogs for play based on temperament and other measures relating to age and physical traits. I have experience handling separation anxiety and other behavioral or complicated health issues, including those needing injections or oral medication.
“Jimena was an excellent sitter. I was visiting NC with my family and was very glad to find her to stay with Benny, our Coton de Tulear. She has a beautiful place for daycare and boarding. She sent me photos and videos and was very caring with Benny. I would definitely book with her again next time I’m visiting North Carolina!”

“Our experience was outstanding! Amanda was very kind and accommodating to us and took great care of our sheepadoodle while we went to a tennis tournament in Hickory. She sent us pictures and videos of our dog throughout the day to show how much fun she was having. They have a fantastic shaded fenced in yard where our dog was able to run around and play. We cannot be happier with our experience and will absolutely take her back the next time we have to be away.”

I can do whatever you feel comfortable with when caring for your pet. I have a fenced yard and can take them on walks or can crate, if needed.

“Bethany took wonderful care of Rex for the day in her home. She is really communicative and we’ll definitely book more in home visits with her. If you are in the Foscoe, Banner Elk area she is very close, and is open to picking your dog up for a modest fee”

About: I have always had a dog since the age of 5. I have trained and taken care of dogs basically my whole life! However, I don’t train, just have done the basics with mine :) I’m here to take care of your pet, and provide ease of mind so you can enjoy whatever you may be doing! I am currently a stay at home mom! I have a small, Maltese, male dog myself, so taking care of a pet is part of our routine! We go on walks and can allow for your pet to lounge and be lazy if needed too! My schedule is flexible, however there may be times I am gone for 2-4 hours at a time. My dog is very easy and flexible, so if yours is too, this is the perfect place! We do not have a fence, but we have a place where we can go on walks in our neighborhood. It’s very dog friendly! If your dog needs to be crated, they can be crated here. My dog is crated at times, but can also stay out, so if yours is trained, I am happy to let them stay out in the house. I can feed your pet at anytime, and provide multiple walks during the day depending on the need. I have a lazy dog, who enjoys sleeping most of the day, so I am able to meet your dogs varied needs!

“Melissa was great. We were traveling with our dog and wanted to bike the Virginia Creeper Trail. Melissa's house was about 20 min from the bike rental shop in Damascus, and it worked out perfectly to drop off our dog for a few hours while we biked. She has a big fenced in the back yard.”

“Great great people, there dogs are supper freindly, loads of space, first time my dog has stayed away and it was like he was right at home, really secure play area for the dogs to run around, already booked his next stay !”

“Carola was great - we were new at leaving our dog with anyone and our dog is old and not great at being left anywhere. By the second day, she was settling and Carola had her all figured out. We got to enjoy Nelson and not be limited by our dog in the heat or at a restaurant. Would recommend this service to anyone travelling with a pet who needs a special home away from home.”

“We’re expecting our first child so it was so important to find the right sitter to watch our fur baby! He had a great time I loved receiving the pictures. I can’t thank Jill and her family enough!!!”

About: I connect with animals of all kinds! I've had several dogs & cats, rabbits, pigs, turkeys, snakes, chickens, lizards, and a chinchilla. My love for animals is limitless & my goal is to improve the life of every animal I can reach. I am currently taking courses online to sharpen my skills pertaining to grooming, learning different breeds, training, diet & health. I have acquired many different brushes, supplements, flea combs, scissors and other supplies to keep your pet clean & tidy. I keep lots of treats in my kit including cat treats, cat nip, dog treats, calming pheromone spray & highly digestible bones. I enjoy cooking for pets when I can, making it feel more like going to Grandma's house instead of day care 😉 I am very attentive to moods and behaviors, while also going above and beyond to make sure they feel safe. I have treated sick animals, given medications, assisted in giving injections, and followed food regimens. I've been bitten by several different kinds of animals, so I know how to deal with the not-so-fun parts. I have plenty of energy to walk and play, toys, and my own reliable transportation. I've done extensive research on behaviors and relationships of pets and I'm always learning. I would be happy to write daily reports and/or take pictures, whatever makes you feel at ease. Outside of caring for my own animals, I'm not very busy, so if you need a last minute service, I will likely be available. I can transport animals in my car and also have a female German Shepherd who is fixed and is sweet as can be, if your pup would like a play mate! I'm always looking for new spots to walk & hike, making sure your bestie doesn't get bored ☺️ I strive to work with pet parents to provide high standard, seamless care for every animal & your peace of mind. There is nothing I won't do to ensure the safety & happiness of your pet. Frivolous is not in my vocabulary 🫡 I take care of my animals daily, but have plenty of free time for yours! Morning, afternoon or evening, I'm available for your pet care needs. My pets are well taken care of and honestly a little spoiled 🤭. We have different foods for different cat needs, we don't use cheap food brands in our household. Our dog is walked at least 5 times a week, sometimes more. Each animals gets individual attention and plenty of pets. I make my own treats to give my dog her medicine and also try other pet recipes from time to time. All animals are vaccinated, de-wormed, and get vet check-ins annually.

Our yard is not fenced. We have 10+ acres to take walks. We have 3 dogs who love to play. Our pack is very excepting and inclusive.
“Lane is great with our dogs and so sweet to accommodate a last minute booking when we unexpectedly couldn’t take our dogs with us on a short trip. Our dogs love running and playing with his dogs in their large fenced shady back yard and I love that they are treated like one of the family at Lanes. Would definitely recommend!”

Growing up I volunteered at the VCA Adoption center where we took care of the animals looking for homes and spent a few years of my adult life volunteering and running a rescue. I absolutely love animals and treat all exactly as I would want someone to treat my own. 😁 I am available most evenings after 4PM or anytime on Thursdays. I try to be as flexible as I can for last minute bookings to assist in any way I can. My entire front yard is fenced in with 6ft chain link fencing. It has a mini agility course as a fun activity for the dogs. I also have extra crates and can crate if/when needed. If I am coming to your home I will treat it and your pets with love and respect.

I have worked with high and low energy dogs, as well as dogs with disabilities such as seizures and diabetes. I love all animals and am committed to making your pets time away from you as comfortable as possible! I currently work part-time, but only during the evenings, so I am available for a majority of the day to care for pet needs. I am a somewhat early riser and also know of the unnecessary stress put on an animal when their daily routines are disrupted, so I am adaptable when it comes to dogs with stricter schedules. I am only providing drop-in services as I have two dogs of my own. I am comfortable walking dogs of all sizes and with issues of pulling and leash aggression. I work to maintain a clean environment for the animal as well as keeping them entertained and healthy.
About: I have taken care of animals ever since I was younger. I would get paid to walk dogs around my neighborhood and to check on cats. I love hanging out and loving on all animals! You can expect the best care and love for your pets when you book with me! I love to send tons of pictures to pet parents to ease their minds when they are away from their fur babies! Also, forgive the last picture on profile unsure how it got in there and why it is there! Can’t delete it either. :) I just graduated from Wake Forest University, where I played volleyball. Volleyball taught me a lot about discipline and also shows that I am a very reliable person when it comes to scheduling and time management. At school there is plenty of grass for the dogs to run around and I am able to bring the crate and everything into my apartment if needed. “I had an emergency and needed someone to take my two rough collies on their twice-daily walks. One is a retired service dog who is deaf, and the other is a young collie with epilepsy. Because of their special needs, I was quite anxious about finding the right person. Caitlin was exactly what I needed. She had a calm, reassuring presence and was warm, gentle, and playful with both dogs. She quickly understood their individual needs. By the second day, they were eagerly waiting for her arrival. Luna, the service dog, had never “done her business” on a leash before, but with Caitlin, she had no hesitation. Seeing that I have limited mobility, Catlin asked if there were other things she could do to be helpful.. I admire her initiative and appreciated her help. I will definitely be calling on her again.”

“Cady is a phenomenal walker and person! It was my and my dog's first experience with a walker, and Cady was very patient and went above and beyond to work with us. She was kind and patient in working with my initially terrified dog, and she made extra effort to befriend her and get her comfortable. She is also very calm and communicative, and I would trust her with my keys, my dog, my sourdough starter, my passport, and my favorite hair tie. 10/10”

For pet sitting in clients homes, I stick to their pets’ usual routines, offering the same care and attention to ensure they feel loved and secure while their owners are away.
About: I have been taking care of pets since I was 17, family, friends, neighbors, have relied on me to walk, watch, and play with their animals. I am currently a college student and I have a very flexible schedule and loads of free time to help out with anything your animals need I follow what the owner says the animal needs to take care of them the best, make sure i give them loads of play time and walks and care.
About: Dogs have been a huge part of my life since I was a toddler. I have fostered, pet sat for friends and family many times and recently lost my own dog of 13 years. I recently retired and miss having a pup in my life. I’m available and flexible for daily walks as well as able to provide boarding in my home. I am very attentive and loving toward all fur babies. I’m a firm believer that exercise and interactive play is essential in developing a bond with each pup.
About: Animals just relax around me. I’ve worked with many pet owners who are apprehensive to leave their pets with anyone due to the pet’s nervous temperaments, and other various quirks, and every single time the animals have surprised their owners by completely settling in with me. I prioritize play, love, and connecting with each individual pet I watch however they specifically need. I’ve looked after animals of all breeds, ages, & temperaments- from anxious & fussy older pets to energetic young puppies. I have experience administering medications to sick animals, hand feeding injured puppies, walking several pets at once, and managing dogs & cats that are a bit wild. I’ve even cared for lizards, turtles, fish, plants (haha), hamsters, birds, & rabbits. Whatever their needs, I will make sure they feel safe, loved, & at home while they’re with me. I am a potter who works from my home studio, and I make my own schedule- so I can generally be flexible and accommodate your pets needs. I love having pets in my home, and breaking away from my studio to get some fresh air and puppy/kitty love too! If I’m working on a big project, it’s nice to have to flexibility to come and go from my studio when possible, or have your pet there with me- but I have worked out all kinds of house sit/drop in/boarding arrangements according to the needs of clients and their pets. Let’s talk! I live in a peaceful home with a large fenced in backyard, and nice quiet streets to walk with your pet as needed. I will follow whatever routines you generally stick to and prefer when working with your animals. Give me all the details of your needs and preferences, boundaries and particulars- no matter what type of sit- so I can be sure you and your pet(s) feel a sense of trust, ease, and predictability.
“I highly recommend Emerson. She walked my one-year-old Golden Retriever Jackson 3x a day for a week. When she came for her initial visit, I could immediately tell she was an animal lover and would treat Jackson as if he were her own dog. I also instantly saw how comfortable and confident she was walking a larger, energetic puppy – she had complete control. Throughout the week, she was incredibly prompt, professional and reliable. She gave regular, detailed and fun updates throughout the week. I could not recommend her more highly.”

About: I love taking care or dogs and cats of every kind. Ever since I was 12 I’ve taken care/loved on my neighbors pets while they were out of town or even my own. I really enjoy getting to meet new animals and care for them as my own. I’m currently working for myself remotely. I set my own schedule, this allows me to be available for most times throughout the week to love on your pet. I love to take my dogs for walks/runs. So, if that’s what your dogs prefer (or cats, can’t exclude them!) I’m happy to take them on daily walks/runs. As far as nighttime routine, I prefer doing what’s best for your pet. Every pet is different so I can crate, leave in designated space or allow the pets to free roam at night based on the preference/instruction of you the pet owners / pet parents

“Jacades was wonderful to choose for Cody. He literally slept from the time he got back in the car. (That tells me he played all day) … That’s amazing! She was very tactful and communicative. I definitely will be using her for Cody’s future sitter!”

About: I have taken care of cats and dogs since I was a little girl. I love every animal and will make sure your pet is loved and well taken care of when you're away. I currently work full time Monday through Thursday 7am-5pm. I am available every evening and every weekend to assist you and your pet with their needs. I have an unfenced yard in a development. We will go on walks but will have to be leashed walks. We may take a trip to an open field at my parents house to let them run wild with your permission. I have 2 dogs and a cat of my own. I can crate with no problem or your pet is welcome to the bed, couch, floor, etc. Whatever makes you more comfortable with the care of your pet. I will keep you updated with your pet throughout the time they are in my care.

“Kitty took wonderful care of Einstein while we were away for the holidays. He’s an energetic, enthusiastic boy and she kept him exercised and happy and calmly redirected him when he tried to follow his nose somewhere he shouldn’t. Normally when I pick him up from boarding, he’s so excited and relieved to see me and can’t wait to leave, but when we picked him up from Kitty’s, he came and greeted us happily and then led us back in like he wanted to show us all the fun things he did while we were gone (just like a kid at camp!) We will definitely be in touch with Kitty next time Einstein needs a place to stay!”
About: Hello, I'm Allison. I love animals. I started taking care of my family's pets when I was 4 years old. Animals play a huge part in my life, especially dogs. I'm a proud owner of a mix breed (Chance) and two other dogs(Loki and Prada. Who are all rescues. Chance was rescued off the side of the road with a minor head injury. Loki was rescued from a litter of pups, where he was the runt that nobody wanted. Prada was rescued from a "homeless", who could not care for her. I'm very patient and loving when it comes to the care of animals. I've worked at a animal shelter/vets office for 1 year. My services include feeding, playing, exercise, bathing, cage-less boarding, teeth brushing, and more. I'm capable of giving your Pet it's medication (oral or injection if needed). Im a stay at home mom. So I'll have plenty of time to play with your fur babies. My schedule is pretty flexible if needed. I have a very friendly and social cat. She mostly stays in her car tree or I can put her in a separate part of the apartment. So no need to worry about your fur baby getting her. I can also crate your fur baby if needed
