About: I have over 30 years experience taking care of dogs and will provide the love and care they need in their new "home away from home". I have a whole house generator so in case of storms, there will be no interruption in service. I am a very active individual and typically walk at least 3-5 miles per day with my little toy fox terrier. I am a nature lover and frequent the area's hiking trails and love to get out on the beach. I prepare my dog's meals using all natural ingredients (whole foods) and make a very healthy bone broth and organic barley. With parental permission I can use this as topper for your dog's kibble. I am a retired school teacher and am available year round. I am basically home all the time when I am not out on the nature trails. I would prefer sitting for dogs that weigh 30 pounds or less. Your fur baby will receive the love and attention it deserves from Caring Karen. I love animals and I would love to help their parents/owners make their life better by walking them, keeping them company, or just checking up on them while their parents are away. I hate the idea of them being left at home along for too long. I have experience dog sitting for my cousins at their house for multiple days in a row! I’ve been working on and off through rover for about 8 years now but have much more experience pet sitting aside from rover (if you’re wondering why there are only a few recorded sits on my profile). If your animal needs special care such as medication, diaper/pad changing, extra exercise, etc, it’s no hassle at all on my end and I’m experienced with all of these and more! I’m comfortable sitting any animal and I’m comfortable with pet/house sitting that requires me to stay over at the house or visit the house. I have a very flexible schedule, I ask for 1 weeks notice so I can make sure your pet gets all the attention they need. I will treat and love your animals as my own. I am open to any and all animals: reptiles, dogs, cats, birds, horses, etc.(not limited to these)
About: Since a child, animals have been my passion. As an adult, I decided to make them my career as well and became a Veterinary Technician 15 years ago. I started pet sitting long before that as a teenager. I feel like I know animals better than I do people sometimes! I really do love giving pets my time and love while alleviating stress for their moms and dads. I’m available just about any time! I may go out of town occasionally but not for long. I’m very accommodating to owners’ needs and wants. If pets stay in my home, I ask that they be ok with cats as I have one blind cat and another cat with a brain injury. They are used to dogs and have not had any problems. Also, potty trained is preferable, but if they need work learning, I can help. I’m easy going and just want your pet to feel at home. When I go to a client’s home, I follow their instructions precisely and will communicate with them without hesitation if need be.
