I have always had a dog in my life, from my Childhood pet to my very own prince Charming. Our house is extremely dog friendly, we sit on a little under an acre of fenced in land. The garage is set up with 2 dog doors for their convenience. Inside the house we have built in gates to separate guests if needed. Not all dogs get along... My services include overnight boarding, and walking for now. We have 4 dogs of our own, which are well socialized and love meeting new friends! Onyx, is our lovable Lab middle child. Sassafras is a sweetheart, we were told she is a German Shepard mix. Onyx and Sassafras are the Pack Ambassadors, that Meet and Greet our house guests first. Charlie is an older Pitbull that keeps to herself, and Tucker doesn't know how big he is, and can be a little overwhelming. Additional Fees: Unavailable for a Meet & Greet - $25.00 Unaltered (not spayed or neutered) $45.00 Last Minute Booking (within 4 days of stay) - $75.00 I work for AMK9, a Police & Military Dog training facility in Moyock, NC. When I am away from the house my boyfriend is usually home, so your pups are always being looked after. Occasionally, we do need to run out, but my guests are never alone for very long. When we are gone, everyone is kept separate for safety. I take safety very seriously, for myself, my pups and most importantly your fur babies. I have a large fenced in yard, and the ability to keep pups separated in the event that personalities don't mesh well.
About: I have taken care of animals that I have owned and those of friends and family for most of my life! No cat or dog is too big or too small! I currently have 2 GSDs and 3 cats so high-energy animals are welcome! I have a full time job but I am available just about everyday during the week and all day on weekends most of the time! About: I have been a babysitter for over 20 years. Most of the families I worked with had pets, dogs or cats. I have had cats of my own over the years but now I help my mom take care of her 2 dogs. I recently moved to Newport News so I have a completely open schedule. I am already cooking fresh food for my mom's dogs and walking them regularly. Come join us. “My dog is extremely attached to me, so I was nervous about leaving her with a sitter. However, Akemi has the disposition and experience I was pretty sure would work for my dog, and I was right! Akemi has been fantastic about entertaining my dog, so she isn't so sad while also creating such a loving and positive environment for my dog that my dog now adores her too! She was able to quickly bond with my dog making it so my dog and I both feel comfortable leaving her with Akemi. About: I've been an animal lover all of my life. I had cats for most of my childhood and early adulthood. They were my best buddies who cuddled and slept with me, as well as posed for drawings and paintings. About 18 years ago I adopted a pit mix, named Humble. He was the most gentle giant you could ever meet. He accompanied me on camping and hiking trips in Maine. He passed away a few years ago. Now I'm the lucky mom of a rescue dog named Chance. He is an 8 year old undetermined breed. He may be a Doxie mixed with Papillion. I rescued him from the streets of China. I was working as an ESL teacher in Shenzhen,China at the time. He is one of my best friends and I spoil him with lots of love, treats and walks. I am a certified yoga teacher, artist and pet care provider. I started out pet sitting as a side business to earn some extra money, but it has become so much more than that. It is such a rewarding job and a great honor to care for so many beautiful animals! I will take great care of your fur babies and your home. You can have peace of mind with me as your pet sitter. I can't wait to meet you and your pets! I am usually available most week days and weekends ( except the ones marked off my calendar), for house sitting and drop in visits. About: I’ve been pet sitting for 10 years! I’m able to do anything to make your fur baby feel loved and secure with me while you’re gone! I work part time 4pm-8pm Monday-Friday! So I’m available all day before then and after I get out at 8pm! Also can be available if needed more! Very flexible! I will care for them however you specify your needs are!
