About: Dogs have always been a big part of my life. I have almost always had a dog in my home, and was responsible for feeding, bathing, walking, and loving on my animals. I’m an active volunteer at the Wake County Animal Center, where I routinely walk dogs of all backgrounds and sizes. I do have a black lab at home who is a big sweetheart and is great with other animals. I just quit my full time job to pursue a startup business that will occupy a lot of my hours but will be fully at home. I have a dog at home who I walk 2-5 miles each day in between meetings to refresh myself and give her stimulation and fun! I have a fenced in yard with lots of great smells, as we are surrounded by trees. We have a black lab named Dixie who is always excited to show her new friends her backyard toys. I also am a big walker and enjoy taking dogs walking in my neighborhood for a mile or two at a time. I do not walk multiple dogs together, as I want to give each dog what they need from their outside time. We are very social people and routinely have friends come by the house. My dog loves extra love but we are happy to accommodate the needs of your fur baby while they are with us!
“This was my second time using Angela and I couldn’t be more happy with her friendliness, professionalism, communications and how happy my pupster is when she is with her. I’ve just rebooked for another week later on this year.”

“R.J. And Julie are wonderful pet sitters! I trust them completely with my dog. They are responsible, respectful, and prompt with messages n pictures. I highly recommend their services.”

“Bailey can be apprehensive of others but was comfortable with Hiroko at first sight! She was very communicative, sharing photos and videos during his stay. He always looked happy! I definitely had a peace of mind knowing he was in good hands.”

“Your fur baby will be in good hands with Andrea! We boarded our pup with her for the weekend and I could not be happier! She’s very experienced working with dogs, having two dogs of her own. Andrea provided plenty of updates throughout our dog’s stay and met each of his needs. Our dog came home so happy and we could not be more thankful!”

“Amanda was so great for Buddy! She was so flexible in meeting us prior to his stay, and she kept me updated throughout with pictures and video. Whenever I asked how he was doing she promptly replied with a story about his time with her. It was a great comfort knowing that she really cared about his well being while we were gone. Thank you Amanda!”

“Ravon took fantastic care of our senior pup. She gave her so much love and attention!! She made sure to fully understand her dietary and exercise needs, which we really appreciate. Ravon definitely provided a safe, home-away-from-home for our girl. She sent us lots of pictures and updates and was very very responsive. We would absolutely book with Ravon again!”

“Martine is absolutely wonderful. This was the 2nd year we left our 3 dogs for a week with them and it feels so good to go on holiday knowing that your dogs are in great hands!”

“Bailey was sooooo great. My dog Cody loved her and her family. She was very sweet and helpful as this was my first time using Rover. Thank you so so much Bailey for taking great care of my boy Cody.. Will definitely be using again”

“This was our first time leaving our puppy. I asked Kimberly several questions prior to dropping him off. She was patient and knowledgeable and made me feel at ease. While we were gone, she sent several updates including photos and videos.”

About: I’ve been taking care of dogs most of my life. Growing up in the city I’ve always loved walking and dog sitting for my neighbors and family dogs. Also, a fur baby mom many times myself of small dogs like Maltipoos and Chihuahuas. I’m currently retired and I’m available during the week and weekends. So, I have plenty of time to love on your fur babies. I have a large fenced in backyard with plenty of shade. There’s plenty of space inside as well. The den area has a comfortable couch to lay on.
“Nickole took great care of my little guy. Prior to his stay she inquired about his food/medicine. I received daily updates including photos. I will be using her again in the future when overnight needs arise.”

“Cara and Stefan’s family were wonderful and attentive caretakers for our 5 month old puppy Daisy, a rambunctious Wheaten. We received daily photos on our weeklong trip. Daisy received plenty of attention including walks, playtime, and snuggles and had such a great time!”

“Rebecca seemed so caring in our initial meet & greet with Buddy, but as a "puppy mom" I was still apprehensive for his first sitting at her home yesterday. Rebecca sent me a couple of pics and had all good news about his behavior when we picked him up. Buddy was happily worn out after nearly 12 hours of dog play with two others. I really think she has earned that dog whisperer title! We've booked another visit and know we can count on Rebecca!”

“Tori and her family took such great care of our small older dog who has some health issues including med administration needs and occasional pain due to previous cancer. Everything from getting holly to their home (Tori last minute offered to pick Holly Up and this was a godsend because our trip was last minute and we were trying to coordinate many other things) to start her visit to pick up and updates in between were great. Her sons are very gentle and natural animal lovers so that was not any concern even though our dog generally prefers calm environments. I would highly recommend Tori and her family for caring for your pet!”

“Lauren took great care of our pup while we were away and I would recommend her to anyone looking for a dog sitter! She was super communicative and sent cute pics of our dog having fun all weekend long ?”

“Genevieve took such good care of my puppy! He’s never stayed away from home so I was nervous but she was responsive and put my mind at ease. He loved playing with her sweet dog!”

“I always get nervous when I leave our baby with someone new but Vanessa made us feel so comfortable and at ease. She pays attention to details and even let us do a meet and greet before hand at her home. She took amazing care of Sadie and sent me daily updates with pictures that made being away from her so much easier. Thank you Vanessa!”

“Adriana was awesome! She was very patient accommodating my travel changes and the cats were very well cared for. I will definitely use her again to watch them!”

“We always request Sue to look after our senior kitty when we're away. He has special needs and Sue is always so kind, gentle, and attentive. Highly recommend her. Thank you Sue!!!”

About: I adopted my handsome boy Salem while I was in college around 2021. I’ve spent years finding and crafting enrichment experiences (he’s a stubborn boy who gets bored with toys easily) but his true love language is cuddles. Through our time together I’ve had to administer several different medications for vet visits and even a recent dental surgery he had. While I am still expanding my knowledge on this subject I am open to learning and do have some experience to go off of. If you’re looking for someone to drop-in on your fur babies, I’m your girl! Rest assured they will receive plenty of love while also ensuring fresh water and sufficient food is easily available!

“Beverly was great! She was friendly, an excellent communicator, and quickly understood everything I needed her to do. I felt completely comfortable leaving my cat in her care and knew she was in good hands. I would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable pet sitter.”

“It is hard finding a reliable cat sitter but Ashley did a great job taking care of my kitty. She was punctual, followed my instructions and sent updates after each visit. Will definitely book again.”

About: I’m a calm, gentle, and intuitive caregiver with a lifelong love for cats — including my own two 12‑year‑old, thoroughly spoiled seniors. Living with them has taught me how beautifully complex cats are, and how important it is to understand their subtle, often aloof language. I’m confident with shy, cautious, or independent cats and I always let them set the pace. Whether your cat wants quiet companionship, interactive play, or simply someone who respects their space, I adjust my approach to match their purrsonality and comfort level. My cats are leash-trained and enjoy walks, so I am familiar with cat walking as well! I’m skilled at reading feline body language, noticing small changes in behavior, and understanding what each cat is trying to communicate. During visits, I provide attentive care with a strong focus on safety and routine — feeding, litter care, enrichment, medication (if comfortable), and plenty of patience. I’m observant, detail‑oriented, and committed to making sure your cat feels secure while you’re away! I offer a fully customizable experience for cat parents: photos, videos, calls, detailed updates, or quiet, low‑disruption visits for sensitive cats. I’m also willing to work with budgets when possible, because every cat deserves excellent care. Your cat’s comfort and well-being always come first, and I treat every feline friend with the same love and respect I give my own!

“This is the first time I used Rover but I would definitely use it again and recommend it to my friends. I found myself having to leave town within 24 hours for a family emergency. Penny was my first choice and she responded very quickly to my inquiry so that was a good start. We weren’t sure how long we would be gone and started with three days, but circumstances required us to stay longer. She worked with us every step of the way and I’m so glad we chose her. Our two cats were well cared for. Thank you, Penny.”

About: I’ve had cats ever since I was born. They’ve come with all different personalities, traits and attitudes! From kittens to senior cats, they’ve all had a special place in my heart.

“Haley is fabulous! She kept my cat fed, clean and loved. And she took care of me too with her reassuring photos and messages. At one point my cat peed outside of the box and Haley offered to take him to the vet if it continued (uti?). I thought that was above and beyond - it mattered a lot that she cared about him. Will definitely call Haley again!”

“Madison was kind, professional, and every bit the animal lover we had hoped, our cats are super shy but they liked her and thats proof enough for us that she's good people!”

“Katelyn has taken care of my cat several times, one of which was quite a long vacation. She has always taken excellent care of my cat each time! She is very communicative and prompt, and always sends great photos for each visit. Additionally, she did a fantastic job giving my cat medications while she had an ear infection and URI—I felt very comfortable leaving my cat in Katelyn’s capable hands! I would highly recommend Katelyn for future petsitting needs!”

“Alison took excellent care of my kitties! She sent lots of photos and was super great with communication, always giving me a heads up about when she was going to start her visits. I would absolutely work with her again!”

“We’re so happy we found Candace! She took amazing care of our cat Shelly and made us feel completely at ease while we were away. Shelly warmed up to her quickly, and it was clear they became friends. We also really appreciate that she came by on short notice when the power went out — it meant a lot to us. Highly recommend and would definitely book again! 💕🐾”

“This was my first time using Rover and I have to admit, I was nervous leaving my cat, Reese, in the care of someone else. Ashley made this experience so much easier and once I met her and started communicating with her, I knew I had picked the right person. She was very friendly and prompt with communication. She gave me wonderful updates and even captured better pictures of Reese than I do! Ashley will definitely be my go to pet sitter in the future!”

“Christina is a great sitter, she’s very communicative about how our cat was doing and when supplies seemed low so we could order more while we were away. She’s reliable and sent pictures/video. She has also done drop in visits for our two rambunctious dogs and they seemed happy to see her. We’ll definitely book with her again in the future.”

“Josie was great! We needed a dog-sitter last minute, and Juniper loved staying at their house for the day. Their dog was very friendly and got along great with Juniper. We will definitely look to rebook whenever we need to take Juniper to a doggy daycare!”

About: We’re an active, dog-loving couple who miss having a furry friend around - so we put all that energy into the pups we host. We raised a golden retriever for over 12 years, through eight different homes, which taught us how to stay flexible and make any space feel like home for a dog. We’ve also cared for the fur-babies of our friends and family over the years, so medium and large breeds are totally our comfort zone. Carleigh works from home every day, and John is home four days a week, meaning your dog gets tons of attention, playtime, and company. We’re not ready for a new pup of our own yet, but we love having short-term four-legged guests to spoil. Pet care fits naturally into our daily routine because one of us is almost always home, so your dog will get tons of attention, supervision, and company throughout each day. We love taking breaks to go on walks, play outside, or just hang out with a furry friend while we work. Since we’re already active and outside often, adding a dog to our routine is fun and effortless. We treat every dog like a temporary member of the family. Our home is clean, calm, and set up to be dog-friendly, especially for medium and large breeds. We pay close attention to routines, instructions, and any quirks or preferences your dog has. We’re big on communication - you’ll get updates, photos, and messages so you always know how your pup is doing. Whether it’s play time, relaxing, or sticking to their normal schedule, we make sure your dog feels safe, comfortable, and cared for from the moment they arrive.

Whether it's playful pups or older dogs, I bring patience, kindness, and reliable care to every visit. What sets me apart as a pet sitter is my versatile experience as a foster volunteer and genuine love for each animal I meet. About: First things, first. Why the long gap? I've been fostering dogs for 11 years and the last 3ish years has had some ups and down, including two very good bois being returned, and both needing some special care - one with anxiety, requiring patience and creativity; and one with reactivity. The last few years I have not taken new clients, focusing on my fosters, my animals, and friends dogs. I am happy to announce the pups are doing well in their respective homes, with the second being adopted in February. Woohoo. After the last adoption, I took some time to get my dog, Monti settled in to the new routine, and then decided to throw a kitten into the mix. Life finally seems settled, my last foster dog is doing amazing in his new home, and I am ready to take on a new client or two. I grew up around dogs, and continued my love of them into adulthood. I have had dobermans, and handled other working breads. I currently have a 3yo female Ridgeback who gets along with all dogs, even the grumpy ones. She is very calm with a goofy side, and seems to know what each dog needs from her. She will play if provoked but is fine with laying around as well. I also have a cat that has zero fear of dogs and likes to say hi and be part of the fun. He is definitely not dog savvy, and could get some dogs excited. I have room to seperate him if needed. As I stated above, I foster, and while energy is always different from one dog to the next, if they are dog friendly, I make sure to introduce them to new dogs slowly and properly. About the home: I have plenty of crate options in the home, as well as toys, dog beds, leashes, and other walking tools, so there will be limited supplies needed to be packed up for your pooch. I respect rules and training of owners. But I am also extremely good at spoiling them. While I am gone, I have an 11x9 'den' that is gated and houses the crates, but looks into the family room, and has a pet camera for viewing while I am gone. This space is a perfect dog space and used just for them. Beds, blankets, crates and toys are in the room providing a wonderful space for them to relax in while I am gone. About my yard Large lot with 5' fence. I am very active and would keep your dogs exercised, assuming they are active as well. I have easy access to Umstead if hikes/walks are allowed. Experience administering medication Yes - My dobie was on meds for 3.5 years - I know most tricks to get them to eat the meds. While I can handle shots, I'd rather not have to administer any to dogs that I am not familiar with, so a free drop in visit and discussion with owner would be required first. I am comfortable with eye drops, basic bandaging, etc. I have the resources to board multiple clients dogs at one time in my home, and reservations overlap. I will take the time to properly introduce all dogs to each other and monitor their interactions. I work from home and I spoil the dogs throughout the day. Lots of yard time and couch naps while I am working and then walks and adventures in the evenings. I have dog gates up throughout the house, use crates while I am gone, and set boundaries for new dogs. I introduce dogs slowly and properly. I feed dogs separately. And I keep an eye on energy levels ensuring dogs are in a comfortable state.
“Sally took great care of our pet dog. He was very happy with her and bonded well. Our requirements were odd in the sense that we had to drop and pick up our pet multiple times in the day/night and Sally accommodated us well. Thank you Sally.”
“Zainab took good care of my anxious shiba for the day, and I picked up a happy doggy. She was gracious to book on short notice for the day before holiday. I appreciated the pictures she sent. Will book with her again!”

“My dog Cosmo clearly had an amazing time in Brittany's care! I received lots of pictures of him playing with other pups that I absolutely loved. Can't wait to bring him back!!”

About: Whether your pup loves long walks, playtime, or relaxing on the couch, I adapt to their routine to keep them comfortable and happy. I have experience with dogs of different breeds, sizes, and temperaments, and I’m committed to providing a safe, stress-free stay. You’ll receive regular updates, photos, and peace of mind knowing your dog is in caring hands. I recently resigned from my full time role so I have plenty of availability for pet care! I do enjoy light exercising so dog walking will benefit me along with your pup! I do not have other pets and my doors are secured. My home is always clean and I ensure I keep an eye on pets while in my care.
“Still in recovery from an attack by a large dog, our little seven pound puppy Maui needed extra TLC. Martine and Ron were as loving and caring as we could ever had hoped for. I recommend them most highly and without reservation!”

“This was our first visit and we will be back! The yard is just perfect for the dogs and the entire family was wonderful with our dog and he barey noticed i picked him up. He had lots of fun fetching and came home tired ;)”

“Jack had an amazing first day with Lauren! He was worn out from all the fun! Lauren stayed in touch with pictures and let me know how Jack was doing. We just moved to the area and I'm thankful we've found Lauren!”

“Sloane is the BEST!! Her updates are detailed with lots of photos, and as an anxious dog mom, I really appreciate that! Cooper has such a great time with her and always comes home tired from all the fun. 10/10, cannot recommend more!”

“Meghan, Mike and Jace are fantastic! Their calm demeanor was what our dog needed as she gets nervous with new surroundings, people and pet. And we can see that they foster a quality environment for the pet they host. They took good care of our dog and we could tell she had a great day from the photos they shared!:)”

About: My family and I have had pets ever since I was born. Currently, I have a German Shepard and 3 cats. I enjoy taking dogs on walks and keeping kitties company. I worked with a “puppies and yoga” business where I had to handle 6-10 puppies for 8 hours a day. One of my cats has diabetes and I have been administering insulin for almost a year. I can follow a feeding schedule, am flexible and all ages and sizes are fine with me! I am searching for a side gig to compliment my 30 hour work week at Whole Foods Market. I have my own pet care routine daily at home. Whatever the owner needs, I will take into serious consideration since I know what it is like to love and cherish our pets. I am trustworthy and find importance in keeping things tidy and organized.

“Kelly is awesome. She is honest, thoughtful, and dependable. I feel she truly cares about the well being of my dog. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone and tell you that your lucky to have her.”

About: I’ve always loved being around animals, and we had many different types of pets when I was growing up. I would sometimes also visit shelters to walk/spend time with the animals there. When I went to college I decided to adopt my very first kitten Salem and he’s been growing and thriving alongside me ever since. After a difficult breakup, Salem and I moved in with some friends of mine who are very regular Rover walkers and boarders. I learned a lot from my experiences with them in handling and caring for different types of animals while also creating relationships with pet parents. After moving out, I now do a lot of my work from home so my availability is fairly open and flexible. I enjoy being in nature, taking long walks, and furry snuggles so if you’re looking for a friendly face to take care of your furry friend, I just might be your girl! I currently do most of my work from home so I am available most days. I do have reoccurring meetings from 10am-12pm on Mondays and Wednesdays but am available before and after. As of right now I do work a serving job that ranges from 1-3 days (Friday-Sunday evenings) however I am looking to supplement the money I’m making there with Rover so my calendar can be more open. I am open to helping you keep your pets routine as normal as possible through your advice and instruction. I am able to put them in crates if needed, feed, and water, offer playtime, take nice walks, and of course pick up after them with provided materials.

Your dog will have my undivided attention. This is a very safe environment for your dog, and I pay special attention to safety. Pictures can be sent to you so you know you do not have to worry about your fur baby. I offer boarding or doggie daycare. My dog Arya will be here. Your dog is allowed on the furniture if you like, but if you don't want them on the furniture I will guide them to stay off of the furniture. Your dog is allowed anywhere in my home. If you have a special needs dog I will follow your instructions and take care of your dog. I have a large deck in the backyard for sunbathing. I have a small fenced in yard for potty breaks. I have a seperate large fenced in back yard if you would like your dog to have access to a larger yard area. I will supervise your dog in the yard. “Kaylee was an excellent dog walker for our beloved senior dog. Kaylee always provided a nice note and picture of our dog after each walk to include letting us know if there were any health concerns during the walk. She was always responsive to messages and pleasant to speak with. We are very grateful to have had Kaylee as a dog walker and our only regret is that we didn't reach out to her sooner.”
“On time, long walk, didn’t rob me or cause any issues. My dog was so happy when I got home (I assume since he had such a fun midday walk with Nathan). Provided pictures and poop updates (so essential). Very happy with Nathan’s services :)”

“My family and I were preparing to head out of town for my birthday when we realized, in the middle of all the planning, that we had forgotten to schedule a sitter for Oakley. Like any dog mom would, I immediately went to Rover and was pleasantly surprised to see several sitters available. I reached out to a few profiles, and Rebecca D. responded right away, which immediately gave me peace of mind. Rebecca was incredibly kind, responsive, and easy to communicate with. We quickly coordinated a plan for dropping Oakley off, and the process was seamless. When we arrived, Rebecca was already outside waiting for us and gave clear instructions on where to park. She even invited us inside, which we politely declined, but I thought it was such a thoughtful gesture. Prior to our arrival, she also shared information about her dog’s temperament, which I really appreciated. Throughout the weekend, Rebecca kept us updated with photos and videos of Oakley, which made us feel so comfortable while we were away. When we picked him up, he was excited to see us, but it was also obvious that he had a wonderful time with her. Oakley came home happy, and we are so thankful for the care Rebecca provided. I would absolutely recommend booking with her!”

“Evelyn is wonderful. When I drop Harper off and pick her up you can tell that she is being cared for with so much love. They go on activities together and I get daily updates. To me it looks like Harper gets very well integrated into Evelyn’s family and I am so grateful. We will 100% be booking again. Evelyn is our go to!”

“Everything about boarding with Evan was stellar. Great responsiveness, listened to all my instructions, inviting at dropoff. The farm is perfect for dogs! tons of fenced in room to roam. Lumi came home super zen and well exercised. Would recommend!”

“It was super easy to communicate with. We appreciated the pictures and updtates of Theo. He took Theo on walks. Andrew was flexible with drop off and pick up times and even dropped off Theo's blanket that we forgot. We would recommend him for sure!”
