“Heather was able to help us out last minute so we could take a trip down to the coast to spend time with my grandparents. She did a wonderful job, she fed, watered and changed litter boxes for our two cats each day, and she gave detailed reports and pictures of them. She went above and beyond, often staying for extra time to play with our cats, and she even put on some cat TV for them and gave them some supervised time on our screened-in porch, two of their favorite things. I can't recommend Heather enough as a cat sitter, she really helped us out and we were able to relax and have a great vacation knowing that our boys were well cared for.”

About: We’re an active, dog-loving couple who miss having a furry friend around - so we put all that energy into the pups we host. We raised a golden retriever for over 12 years, through eight different homes, which taught us how to stay flexible and make any space feel like home for a dog. About: Hey there! We are Jesse and Diana and we live in the heart of Cary with our teenage daughter, 9 year old black lab mix Delta, 5 year old whippet Skadi, and 4 year old chihuahua Pepita. We also have two cats, Steve and Max who are 12 and 8 and are great with all dogs. Sometimes I think Max is more of a dog than a cat! Our dogs are good girls (spayed) and absolutely love to play! We have about a half acre fenced back yard that they can run freely in to get out all their zoomies. Both of our dogs are fully vaccinated and on flea & tick medication. We have had dogs all our lives and they have always been an important part of our family. We have experience with training certified therapy dogs as well. Our golden retriever, Molly was actively involved in working with Alzheimer's and dementia patients as a certified therapy dog. She passed away last year at 14 years old. She was a good girl. We understand all dogs have different needs and we will be extremely accommodating. Additionally, we work from home so your dog would never have to be alone. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions! We work from home, which gives us the time to be here for your pup! We also try to be very flexible with pickup and dropoff times to make it as convenient as possible. We have a completely fenced backyard (approx. 1/2 acre), which gives the dogs the space to run, play, and to just burn energy in a safe environment! About: My greatest loves in this world are animals and nature. I enjoy pets of all sizes, I’ve taken care of all kinds of breeds from Rottweilers to Jack Russell Terriers. I’m experienced with all stages of life, I recently lost my amazing 13yo lab/Irish wolfhound mix after raising him from a puppy. I’m comfortable giving medication and light grooming/brushing, but my favorite is getting them outside for some fresh air and exercise. I love caring for cats and plant-babies too! I’m a freelancer and enjoy taking breaks throughout the day to step away from my computer and get my blood pumping. Making my own schedule means I can be flexible to accommodate your needs. I’m a gentle but firm soul and find a way to connect with a wide variety of temperaments. I’m happy to go slow and meet animals where they are since I know proper care and attention is not one size fits all.

“We are SO grateful for Gina! Two months before a trip of ours, our 2-y/o German shepherd mix started showing concerning behaviors associated with anxiety and fear. We’ve been working with a behavioralist but had an international trip planned. We chose not to leave our pup with family in order to keep her separated from other dogs as we address her behavior. We found Gina on Rover and we’re so glad we did. Gina kept us up to date while we were away and demonstrated a commitment to Olive’s wellbeing and helping us to work with her on her behaviors on walks, etc. Olive had such a good time during her 9-day stay with Gina and we felt so comfortable leaving her there. “Sarah has such a great connection with animals and is absolutely amazing! She came to our rescue and watched our mini dachshund puppy (Freddie) while my husband and I went a trip we booked months ago. She is very attentive, and took Freddie on several walks and play sessions to keep him engaged and stimulated throughout the day. She sent us multiple videos and photos daily to keep us in the loop, and it put our minds at ease knowing Freddie was receiving so much love, attention, and was clearly having a great time.
