“She is the one if you have a cat/cats! So this was my first Rover experience and I didn’t have anything to compare it to other than having a friend check on our cat while we were gone. I haven’t gone away longer than a couple days since having Hunter because I worry about him being stressed and confused. If you love a cat/cats, you know how it is. We want to take them with, but it is even more stressful and sometimes dangerous for some of them. As far as Victoria goes, she has set the bar really high and I only want her to pet sit for us for as long as she is on here. Our meet and greet went well and her energy was very pet friendly and warm. My cat can be a weirdo about changes and new people, but he did approach and smell her during that initial meeting. While we were away she took great care of him and sent photos which helped us to relax and enjoy our time. We really lucked out and I hope good people continue to sign up to do this service especially for us cat owners. Rover itself was easy to use and I think the fee (separate from the daily rate) is fair as of 10/2024 because the ease of finding someone, reading reviews, entering payment info, messaging, and photos. About: First and foremost, I absolutely adore animals! Even as a kid, I would only accompany my mother to visit her friends, who had dogs or cats in their home. I appreciate, respect, and can relate to the bond humans have with their pets. They are very much family and there's nothing more satisfying than seeing your fur baby comfortable, relaxed, and content, in our home or yours, while you're away. We only board 2 dogs at a time, to ensure a quiet, calm, and more relaxing stay, and have a large fenced in backyard for playtime. Dogs staying with us must be house trained. We also have a cat, who loves to play with dogs, so to ensure his safety, any dogs boarding with us must be cat friendly. Some of my previous work experience includes 4 years as a veterinary assistant and I'm comfortable with administering medication, if needed. I have dog training experience and have even trained two of our own to become registered therapy dogs. Together, we serve our community by providing pet therapy in shelters for domestic violence victims, assisted living facilities, our local university, in elementary schools, and wherever she's needed. I currently work with German Shepherd Rescue organizations, assessing temperaments/behavior, conducting home visits, and fostering. We live near the airport, which makes it ideal for dropping off and picking up when traveling for work or going on vacation. Several of my clients leave their babies with us when leaving the country. In addition to dog sitting for many friends and family members over the years, I've also taken care of cats, horses, goats, and even iguanas! My other senior pup has discospondylosis so daily medications are something I am very very familiar with as well as being more careful and slower with pups. If you're stricter with your dog, you need a sitter who'll uphold those rules, not let them slide. My availability in inconsistent due to Firefighting but I will always respond as soon as I'm able too. I understand due to my schedule I won't the best sitter for if you need someone daily, but if you need someone to drop-in, walk your dog, or just need a night out, feel free to leave a message. Currently working for a fire department, schedule can be inconsistent. Great for drop in play times and walks. Days off from fire department can be great for unexpected care. I have had the pleasure of sitting dogs and cats all over the country, including house sits in California, Oregon, Washington, and now North Carolina. About: I have been a veterinary nurse at an AAHA accredited hospital for the last 6 years, and prior to that, worked at an additional hospital as well as a pet store with exotics. I am more than comfortable administering any method of medication, and taking care of your medical needs, special needs, or senior fur babies. I own two friendly dogs, two sassy cats, and a baby ball python myself- variety is the spice of life. I have just taken a M-Th veterinary position, but I still plan on working Rover into my schedule! I have two friendly dogs, who will play with dogs that want to play, ignore the ones who don’t, and will be gentle with the young and little ones. I do not have a yard, but I am very active and used to taking my large dogs for >3-4 mile walks daily.

Ours sleep in an x-pen together but your dog can sleep where ever it prefers. I want them to be comfortable like it is their own home.
