“Kaitlyn was fabulous! She sent multiple pictures daily with notes on the various activities with our dog, Abby. The stay was 8 days and we were able to enjoy our vacation knowing Abby was having a great time! We will be returning to Kaitlyn to care for Abby in the future!!”

“Alexis is a really considerate sitter who took the time to send us a lot of photos of Dory and also take her on a few walks. She has an enclosed yard which was handy and a very comfortable apartment - I have no doubt our dog slept on every cushion within jumping range. Would highly recommend Alexis and will contact her again in the future!”

“Emily and her husband did a great job. We take our lab with us almost all the time so it wasn't easy to leave her somewhere for multiple days. Emily was great with accommodating a pre-stay meeting, always really good with communication and coordination, kept us regularly updated and assured that Parker was comfortable, happy, getting plenty of attention and activity, etc.. She was flexible with our pick up and always positive. We would definitely recommend and would definitely have Parker stay again.”

“Katie & Jeremy are great with our girl! They provide excellent care & keep us updated on how she's doing. We're already planning our next trip & plan to ask them if they'll take care of her for us then.”

“I have left my little pup with Jose and Maria several times over the last year or so. They really treat her as part of their family and she gets so excited when we pull up to their house. Their daily pictures and videos are so reassuring that all is well. I highly recommend them!!”

“Erin took great care of our sweet dog, Lily. She was easy to communicate with, replied quickly, and sent pictures to let us know how much fun Lily was having playing in the river with Erin. I will be using her again, soon, and would highly recommend her to anyone!”
“I cannot recommend Kali for you enough! SHE IS A GEM! My first time sitting my dog was a terrible experience and I was terrified to sit him again but a family emergency popped up and I came across her profile. Her house is clean and she was so nice during the meet and greet, my dog Smokie adores her. Not only did she go over plans on what to do with Smokie while we were away but wrote down a detailed list of everything we told her which sits out in her home in case an emergency happened on her end that anyone coming to watch her own dogs and our dog would know exactly what he needed. She also provided us with all of her emergency contacts so we knew anyone who may be in her home. She also has close contact with the vets in the area if something should happen with our pet. She is amazingly organized and prepared. The dogs have plenty of space to roam and she even had a quiet room for the dogs that can’t roam if she had to pop out of the house and can’t bring the dogs. I will never even consider another sitter after booking with her because they all pale in comparison!”

“Autumn was great. Our dogsitter fell through last minute and Autumn stepped in to fill the gap. She communicated daily with updates and photos, and was very accomdating about pick up and drop off time adjustments. My senior (nearly blind) lab was happy upon my return.”

“While visiting Asheville, we needed someone to take care of Happy meanwhile we had dinner at a not pet-friendly restaurant -- and we were very pleased with all the love (and message update) Terri gave our furry daughter. We dropped off and pick up Happy at Terri's farm, and get to know two of her beautiful dogs.”

“Lacie and her family have become a part of our family. Our aged Havanese is about at the end of her adventurous journey in life. She has spent a large majority of her life swimming and sailing the Chesapeake Bay. Her little body is about worn out. We keep our trips to a minimum and when we do leave, we can always depend on Lacie to provide the best utmost care anyone could ever provide. Lacie has been a godsend in both Emma and our lives. There aren't enough words to thank Lacie and her family as to what she has meant to us. Thank you dearest Lacie.”

“My dog had a great time with Sarah and her family. He was well-cared for, got along with their dog, and got lots of exercise and attention. It was a great experience and I appreciated the pictures she sent!”

“Vicky was such a caring sitter for our sweet dog, Max… She kept us informed with videos and texts and pictures while we were gone. Gave us such peace of mind knowing he was so well taken care of. I highly recommend her and plan to use her again when we are back in that area.💕”

“Jesse was absolutely fantastic. She made sure everything was understood when we met and kept great contact with me while I was away. She was able to navigate a special request I had during the drop in. She definitely cares about animals, that comes through clearly and she is absolutely dependable.”

“Highly recommend Lauren! We appreciated her willingness to do a meet/greet and even more so appreciated her communication while we were away. Thankful to have found someone that took such good care of our two cats”

“Autumn took great care of my 3 cats . This was the second time I had Autumn do daily visits and I highly recommend her as a reliable and thorough pet sitter. She responded quickly to any questions I had and I was able to relax and enjoy my trip knowing they were doing just fine ! She also brought in my mail and packages and sent photos each visit .”

“I had an amazing experience with Sabrie. She sent plenty of photos and videos, which kept me totally at ease while I was away. She even brought in a package for me! Most importantly, she bonded so well with my cat, and I could tell he felt comfortable and cared for. I’ll definitely be booking with her again!”

“Tina took excellent care of our pets and the updates she provided kept our mind at ease during our trip. She also accommodated by adding a day for us to our belief and brought in a package that was delivered. Highly recommend!”

About: I’ve taken care of cats since I was 10. I love all breeds! I’ve always owned cats and pride myself on knowing exactly how to make them feel comfortable with me as we know cats can be very picky and anxious. I’m experienced in giving medications. I am a patient person with lots of love to give.
“Allison, we can't thank you enough for taking care of "Kat" during our two week cruise to Alaska. We were initially hesitant in booking through Rover not knowing what to expect or how the pet sitters were screened to begin with. We're so glad we did and even more thankful that Kat had you to check in on her daily while we were gone. The love you have for animals is evident and again, we are extremely grateful that we could enjoy our vacation without having to worry about Kat. Oh, and anytime we got Internet service while in port, first thing we did was check out the "Rover Report." We got a kick out of them! For anyone reading this review, if you're looking for a pet caregiver that is reliable, caring and will love and spend time with your fur baby like her own, look no further and book with Allison. We will definitely be using her again! Erman & Roberta D.”

“Kaitlyn is a wonderful dog sitter. She sent pictures that showed Abby in various activities throughout the day. It was obvious that Abby enjoyed her time with Kaitlyn, her dog and daughter. She was extremely flexible on the drop-off and pick-up times. This was our first time to use her and she will be our first choice in future bookings. Thank you, Kaitlyn!!”

“The most incredible dog oasis I have found to date. James and his family treated Kuzy like one of their own and Kuzy has never been happier. The consistent updates and flexibility went a long way to making me feel comfortable with Kuzy being there throughout. Deeply and truly thankful to have found them!”

About: Hi! We’re an animal-loving family with room to roam and a whole lot of heart. We share our home with three wonderful dogs (a Pointer, a German Shepherd/Golden Retriever mix, and an Australian Shepherd) all 7 years and older, plus our cat, Potato. We’re very comfortable managing different personalities, energy levels, and species under one roof. Our dogs are mature, well-socialized, and help create a calm, balanced pack environment. We live on 2 acres with a securely fenced quarter-acre for safe, supervised outdoor play. There’s plenty of space for sniffing, structured exercise, and relaxing in the fresh air. My wife and I are almost always home, so your pet will receive consistent supervision, attention, and affection. We also have a sweet baby, Cooper, who is growing up learning to gently and respectfully love animals. Our home is calm, structured, and family-oriented. In addition to boarding, we also offer drop-in visits for pets who are happiest staying in their own home. Whether your pet needs potty breaks, feeding, walks, medication, or just some companionship and playtime, we’re happy to help. I’m currently a stay at home parent so my schedule is wide open for both days and nights to take on boarding or do visits to other homes. My home has a large fenced area where our three dogs can roam and exercise. I am very reliable and respectful when it comes to entering others’ homes while taking care of their pets.
About: I’ve had animals my whole life & since pet sitting is my only job, I’m home full time to give your pet constant attention & companionship Pet sitting naturally fits into my day-I am home caring for my “puppers”, so I’m always available to give your pet attention, activity & companionship! Since I’m home all day, your pet gets individual attention, walks, cat tree lounging out of a window & playtime with my cat friendly dog

“Alexis is great- welcoming, and friendly. Upon meeting her you can immediately tell she enjoys living on her small farm and taking care of animals. We felt very comfortable with our dog hanging out with her. Good communicator. Highly recommend.”

“Carrie and her two dogs were great with our dog Casper! Also this was the first time using Rover and Cassie helped us through the process. Very comforting knowing that we have someone we can trust while we have to take care of other things. We are already planning our next visits!”

“Jose and Maria took awesome care of our Cockapoo. I received photos and videos of our pet throughout the day. They were active with Marley including walks and time outside. I would definitely look to Jose and Maria to care for Marley again.”

“Kristin was great. This was Ranger first time at a doggy day care and Kristin was very understanding. She sent me an email that he was doing great and then a follow up picture. Thank you so much Kristin. Will definitely contact you next time we are in Asheville.”

“Nate was extremely awesome and amazing. First of all, he’s a really great guy and I felt completely comfortable. Leaving my two beloved dogs with him.. his dog Bilbo is amazing and so adorable. Bill gets along with all dogs.. Nate’s backyard is amazing and perfect and shaded. It has a lot of shade for Hot North Carolina days. He was very attentive to my dogs when I had a concern about my female during the day.. he really knows how to handle an acclimate dogs. I highly recommend him.. I never worried about leaving my dogs with him while I was at a very long all day class for three days. When we go back to Asheville if Nate is available, I will definitely ask him to watch my dogs again..”

“Molly was wonderful to meet and took great care of our GSP. We can recommend her without hesitation. Her pup and ours played so well together. Hope to use Molly’s pet services when we return to Asheville.”

“Paul and his fiancé were amazing with our boy, Ezra. As my service dog, he is always with me. There were 2 days of our 16-day vacay that we needed a reliable pet sitter for adventures we couldn’t bring Ezra on: zip-lining in Barnardsville and driving the Blue Ridge Parkway in a 2-seater Polaris Slingshot. Even after a considerately planned meet-and-greet the afternoon before his 1st stay with Paul, Ezra was a little nervous after we dropped him off. Thoughtfully, I received updates and videos to keep me posted. Paul and his fiancé worked with him to build trust and also Ezra’s confidence. By day 2, Ezra did not want his stay to end at pick-up time! When he finally did get in the car, he was happily exhausted and slept the entire drive home. I would definitely reach out to Paul as a pet sitter should the need arise the next time we visit beautiful North Carolina! Thank you both for taking such good care of our Ezra. We truly appreciate all you did to help him adjust and feel comfortable, confident and happy!!! :)”

“Our pup had an amazing day with Miranda. Harry has not had a lot of experience staying away from home and spent an afternoon in Day Care with Miranda to help him become acclimated for future visits. Miranda very patient in giving Harry time to adjust and become comfortable in the new environment. Miranda has a beautiful safe fenced yard for the pups to enjoy. I am so glad to have found such a comfortable and loving place for our doggo to stay for overnights snd for Day Care socialization.”

“There are not enough words to express how grateful and appreciative. I am with all of your pictures and kindness and homemade treats. I can tell gunner had a fabulous memorial day weekend doggy daycare party with you.. thank you again so much and we can’t wait to see you again!”

About: I’ve cared for animals in a wide range of environments, from farms on the Big Island of Hawaii to horses in Appalachia and North Florida. Over the years, I’ve helped care for dogs, cats, horses, and farm animals, (including caring for more than 30 pets in the Asheville area in one summer alone!) I’m dependable, grounded, and comfortable working independently. As a mother currently studying social work, I value calm communication, consistency, and creating a safe, relaxed environment for both pets and homes. I understand that every animal has different needs, personalities, and comfort levels, and I aim to provide attentive, trustworthy care that helps pets feel secure while their owners are away. I’m also happy to include plant watering and basic plant care during visits when needed. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine because I’m local to the Lake Junaluska and Waynesville area and have a flexible schedule, especially during the summer while school is out. I’m able to dedicate consistent time and attention to walks, drop-ins, feeding routines, and companionship throughout the day. Because I live nearby, commuting is easy for me, which helps me stay reliable and responsive for clients. I enjoy creating calm, steady environments for animals and genuinely value the trust involved in caring for someone’s pets and home. I currently provide care in clients’ homes so pets can remain comfortable in the environment they already know and trust. I understand how important consistency, routine, and familiarity are for animals while their owners are away. I aim to maintain a calm, clean, and dependable environment by carefully following feeding schedules, exercise routines, medication instructions, and household preferences. About: I grew up on a farm so I have taken care of nearly every kind of domesticated animal at every age, so nothing is too big or too small for me to handle! Today, I have 3 cats and 1 horse that keep me busy, but allow for lots of spare time to help others! I only work part time currently, so Thur-Sat from 10-3, so my schedule is pretty available! I am also very flexible when it comes to timing! I am very detail oriented and follow instructions to a T. The cat rescue i have worked with in the past said i am a "gold tier" cat parent. My cats at home are fed wet canned food with teeth treats twice a day and dried anchovies for omega 3's. They also have access to a rotation of toys that change every week. My dog, who i had for 15 years, went to a doggy daycare 2-3 times a week and we went on a walk everyday with lots and lots of sniff breaks! I also keep a camera in my home to keep an eye on all my pets! I believe in giving the same care to your pets as I do to mine!!

About: What sets me apart is my experience caring for animals who need a little extra patience, attention, and understanding. I have experience working with older dogs and sick animals, which has taught me how important it is to pay attention to the little things and recognize when a pet may not be feeling their best. I understand that every animal has different needs, routines, and personalities, and I’m happy to adjust my care to make them feel safe and comfortable. Whether your pet is energetic and playful or older and needs a slower pace, I’ll treat them with the same care and compassion I would want for my own pets. Pet care fits easily into my schedule because I currently work only about 10 hours a week, giving me plenty of flexibility to dedicate time to your pets. I’m available for walks, drop-in visits, house sitting, and other care needs, and I can work with your pet’s routine and schedule. Having a flexible schedule also means I can give your pets the time, attention, and companionship they deserve rather than rushing through a visit. When caring for pets in their home, I focus on keeping them comfortable by maintaining their normal routines as much as possible. I follow their feeding, medication, walking, and care instructions closely while giving them plenty of attention and companionship. I also treat every home with the same respect and care I would expect for my own, keeping things clean and secure. Most importantly, I communicate with owners throughout the stay and provide updates so they can feel confident that their pets are happy, safe, and well cared for while they’re away.
“First time on rover and Carrie did a fantastic job with my little bird dog ! Lots of pictures and amazing communication. My neighbor even texted me telling me how wonderful she was after meeting her !!!”

About: I am a teacher in Asheville looking to hang out with some lovely animals in my free time. Growing up I have always had animals but primarily dogs so I have a strong background in dog behaviors and needs. My fiancé, Ellen, is also available to support during the week days that wouldn’t be optimal for me to leave during my teaching days. This gives a lot more availability! She has always grown up with cats and dogs and would love to help support to give them the best care. Often we both come for meet and greets/visits to ensure we give the best care 😊 I look forward to care for your animal in anyway I can. Please let me know of any questions as I hope to be flexible with any needs. During the week I am gone roughly 8am-4pm but will be home during the weekend times. During the summer months I am available throughout the day times. My fiancé is a nurse and works 3 days out of the week. The schedule is flexible but sporadic. I love to get out for long walks and get as much movement as possible. If that’s for your animal I’d love to get them out! If not I am cautious about the animals typical areas and what works best for them.

She is amazingly organized and prepared. The dogs have plenty of space to roam and she even had a quiet room for the dogs that can’t roam if she had to pop out of the house and can’t bring the dogs. I will never even consider another sitter after booking with her because they all pale in comparison!”

She kept in touch with us daily, sending sweet updates and adorable pictures that gave us complete peace of mind while we were away. It was clear Remy was happy, healthy, and in loving hands. Kathleen went above and beyond by meeting me at a convenient halfway point between our homes, making the entire process so easy and stress-free. She was a delight to work with—professional, thoughtful, and genuinely passionate about caring for animals. We will absolutely be using her again, without question. Highly recommend Kathleen to anyone looking for a trustworthy and compassionate dog sitter!”

“Toby had a great weekend with Ali and Penny. Ali took great care of him, gave frequent updates, and went above and beyond in her flexibility and taking care of our boy. Will definitely be asking her to watch Toby again next time I need a sitter.”

About: ✨Experienced, loving care & peace of mind✨ I’ve been around and cared for dogs for most of my life, including raising three puppies of my own from the puppy stage up. I have hands-on experience with crate training, potty training, basic commands, leash skills, routines, enrichment, and navigating all of the wonderfully chaotic stages of puppyhood! I currently have a 10-month-old chocolate Lab, so I’m very familiar with energetic young dogs and the patience, consistency, exercise, and attention they need. I’ve also regularly cared for dogs for friends and family and have spent a lot of time learning about canine behavior, body language, training, and positive reinforcement. I genuinely love getting to know each dog’s individual personality and making them feel comfortable, safe, and at home while their people are away. Whether your pup wants to play, explore, snuggle on the couch, or follow me around the house all day, they’ll be treated like part of the family here. 🐶💛 I work part-time, and between my schedule and my husband’s, someone is almost always home! Our schedules complement each other really well, which means your pup gets plenty of company, attention, potty breaks, playtime, walks, and enrichment throughout the day rather than spending long stretches alone. We already structure our days around our own young Lab, so having dogs as part of our daily rhythm comes very naturally to us. On our days off, we love spending time outside, taking walks, exploring local trails, or just having a cozy day at home. No matter what, your pup gets to be part of the family while they’re here. 🐾 Our home is a relaxed, dog-loving environment where we want your pup to feel like part of the family. We live on a quiet cul-de-sac in a safe, very walkable neighborhood with a large yard. While our yard is not currently fenced, dogs are always supervised and leashed outdoors, and I’m very comfortable with leash walking and safely managing dogs outside. We have a young, friendly Lab who loves other dogs and four dog-savvy cats who are accustomed to sharing their home with a pup. Our home is also thoroughly puppy and toddler-proofed, and everyone in our household understands the importance of respecting a dog’s space, body language, boundaries, and individual personality. I’m big on maintaining consistency between your home and ours. If your dog is crate trained or currently learning we’re happy to continue their normal routine. The same goes for potty training, basic commands, feeding schedules, special diets, and any house rules you’re working on. Dogs can be fed separately to ensure everyone eats their own food, and we have an extra crate available or are happy to use your dog’s own crate if that makes them more comfortable. I love providing enrichment beyond simply letting dogs hang out! Depending on your pup, that might include sniff walks, Kongs, lick mats, snuffle mats, sprinkler or kiddie-pool play in the yard, fetch, or supervised creek adventures. With your permission, well-suited pups can also join us for dog-friendly walking trails or an occasional brewery outing. If your dog is happiest staying close to home, we’re just as happy to keep their world quiet and familiar.
