“Our dog, Shelby just had her 1st stay with Myra and had a good time. I felt better knowing that she was getting some individual attention unlike at much larger kennels that she has stayed at in the past. She got to go on several long walks, which she loves. She also was able to interact with other dogs under Myra's careful observation, which was great for her social skills and keeping her mind off of us being gone. I really liked getting updates and pictures. Also, Myra was flexible with drop off and pick up times. “I came up to North Carolina to spend the summer in the cooler weather. Being by myself with a senior dog meant that I would have to constantly care for him. I decided to look for somebody that I could trust that was loving and caring and had dog whisperer vibes, especially when it comes to senior dogs. I am lucky to have met Jenny. From the moment of our meet and greet , Shemp , who is usually a high anxiety dog was calm and happy. About: I have had, rescued, and taken care of a wide variety of dogs from smaller malti-poos to a Dane who had been living on the street, was skin and bones, and ended up 188 lbs. Currently I have Pippa, a 7-year-old Labrador who is allergic to chicken, so I make part of her food. I am home most of the time, except when I host overly-complex board games at the Hickory Library or the Highland Rec Center -- and those sessions are at most 3 hours long. I am home most days, except when I am hosting 3-hour board games at the local library and rec center. Otherwise, I take care of our house and rental properties. About: I have nearly 10 years of experience with dogs. For the last 4 years I have been running my own business where I breed health tested and titled AKC Labrador Retrievers. All of my dogs live in my home. They are our “kids” and our entire world revolves around them. About: Ever since I can remember we’ve had a fur friend in the house! My family and I at one point in time fostered fur friends until they could go to their forever home! I have been around and taken care of all kinds of dogs from pit bulls -chihuahuas! I am working part time right now and going to college online to be a speech and language pathologist! The times I work do vary between morning shifts and closing shifts! I want my fur friends and family to feel as safe and cared for as I do in any environment! I want them to feel loved and sometimes extra cuddles are needed… not that I’m complaining! My fur friends get lots of cuddles whenever they want and or need them! It’s important to be mindful of emotions in humans and fur friends!

I currently work at a doggy daycare and boarding facility. i work 5 days a week less than 40 hours and i’m taking care of animals when im on and off the clock so it seems fitting to become a sitter and walker:) I live in a home with an unfenced 2 acre yard. we have a runner in case the dog isn’t leash or off leash trained.

About: My name is Samantha and I have been around and cared for dogs most of my life. I have always loved dogs. I currently have two dogs. The oldest is almost 4 years old and he is a Dalmatian. The youngest is 2 years old and is a mixed breed, we fostered him and decided to adopt him. They are both friendly and love other dogs. I have been fostering dogs for local rescue groups for about 2 years now. I really enjoy helping out dogs that are in need of some extra love, attention, and a place to stay while they find their forever homes.
