“Pamela is an excellent dog sitter. We trusted her to take care of our nervous and energetic adolescent pup for 2 weeks while we were traveling out of the country. Pamela took excellent care of our dog and kept us well informed. She took him on long walks multiple times a day. She really loves dogs and cares for them like they are her own.”

“Our Aussie has been boarding with James J and family for over 3 years now and they’ve been wonderful. Our latest board with them was for 15 days when we were out of the country; they sent us photos and kept in touch the whole time. Excellent, conscientious care!”

I felt so comfortable leaving my little guy with her, especially after getting to meet the other dogs and seeing how calm and loving she was in her interactions with all of them. We are so grateful that our dog has a safe and nurturing place to socialize, play, and tire himself out! We will definitely be back and he can’t wait 😊”

“The first time I board my dog somewhere new, I am always a little uneasy, but as soon as I met Licia in her lovely and cheerful home I felt completely at ease about leaving my dearest little canine companion in her care. Licia sent several text updates with photos, and I could see that my dog was settling in very well and quite comfortable. I am so happy and grateful to have found Licia and Pete and will not hesitate to board with them again!”

“Mary was the absolute best! My poor pup got 2 front paw injuries during our hike at the Appalachian trail. She came last minute to pick him up and care for him. She did such a great job that my pup came back very improved! I know he had a great time and is recommend for anyone and everyone to use Mary. She was so caring and sweet that I gave her hugs before leaving. Thank you Mary! You brought so much peace for me to complete my section hike of the trail!”

About: I have taken care of dogs my whole life. I am a trustworthy retired RN who is looking to spoil your dogs while you are away. I am a non-smoker and very active with walking/hikes and pickleball. I am retired now for 5 years and spend my day actively with hike/bikes/pickleball to name a few activities. I am available most days with proper notice. I do not have a fenced yard but do have a 7-year-old dog named Dori who gets her exercise walking daily. If you pup likes fenced in yards caring for your dog would be better at your home.
“Amazing pet sitter — highly recommended! She accommodated our last-minute request and took such great care of our puppy. Our puppy looked so happy, comfortable, and well taken care of the entire time. She was wonderful to work with, very caring, and gave us peace of mind while we were away. Definitely an amazing sitter, and we would absolutely book with her again!”

About: Being an animal lover all my years and having at times, two 90+ lb. furbabies of my own from puppy to senior age, I am experienced in dog care. You can rest assured no matter where you are, near or far, you can count on me providing a loving environment, whether in your home or mine. Your furbaby(ies) will get lots of love and attention. Whether you're here or traveling abroad your furbabies are safe and well provided for. Personally, knowing from experience how hard it is to leave a pet in kennel style boarding with barking dogs all day. I'm a stay at home family, looking forward to making extra money while having a nice time together in a kind and loving home. I like to abide by routines to make your pups stay a fun experience that they will look forward to a return stay. Currently, my home has one sweet female dog who is looking for someone to enjoy watching the birds with from out screen porch. Playing in the yard or taking walks for exercise.

“What a great stay for my Sami. She fit in with the pack and the house was very dog-friendly. The hosts were conscious of Sami’s needs and adapted to her wanting to “cling” around people. Great stay!”

About: I began my career in pet care over 27 years ago as a professional pet sitter, building a highly successful in-home service. As demand grew, I naturally transitioned into boarding select dogs in my home—an offering that quickly expanded beyond capacity. This growth led me to open and operate three pet hotels over a 25-year period. During that time, I furthered my expertise by becoming a Certified Canine Behavior Specialist and a Certified Fear Free Trainer, allowing me to better support dogs with a wide range of behavioral and emotional needs. In January 2024, I sold my final pet hotel and opened my current Training and Behavior Modification business in Clayton, GA. Over time, many of my training clients expressed interest in having their dogs stay in my home, and I found the experience both rewarding and impactful. As a result, I now offer exclusive in-home boarding as part of my services. My boarding program is intentionally different from traditional facilities. Dogs in my care are treated as members of the family, receiving daily enrichment, structure, and positive reinforcement of appropriate manners. I also offer training opportunities during their stay when appropriate. I specialize in working with anxious, fearful, and hyperexcitable dogs, providing a calm and supportive environment tailored to their needs. Because this is my home, I am selective about the dogs I accept to ensure a safe, harmonious environment for everyone. All dogs must be dog-friendly or neutral, with no history of aggression. Additionally, due to my 4-foot fencing, I am unable to accommodate dogs who are known fence jumpers. I am what you call, semi-retired. I sold my lasts pet hotel and moved to the mountains for a more relaxing lifestyle...which I have found! I make my own schedule and work as little or as much as I want to. My training business keeps me in our local community so I am never far from home. Mornings are always pretty much the same. I wake up around 7, make coffee, get the dogs out, feed the cats their wet food, and then spend some time catching up on training reports. While I'm doing this, I take breaks to let the dogs inside, take the cats remaining food to their feeding station, scoop their boxes and snuggle with them for a bit. Once the cats are taken care of, I prepare my dog's enrichment feeding puzzles and they get some enrichment time. Back to reports. When they are done eating, they get to digest for 30 minutes or so and then we head out for a walk down our beautiful mountain road. I am a strong believer in letting the dogs sniff. We go as far as we can in 30 minutes and then turn around and come back. Some days we make it a mile and a half, others, we only go a half mile. It is totally up to their sniffers. When we come home, everyone is usually beat and ready for a nap. If I have scheduled clients, I get ready and head out to see them. I am generally only gone for a couple hours before returning to let my dogs out for another potty break. This is the time we play outside. My dogs love to run and play with each other but they also love to play fetch. My yard is very large so there is plenty of space to throw a toy to let them run. When we come back in, it is time for cookie games. I like to play a game where as soon as a dog sits, they get a cookie. Mine already know this game and are fast sitters so when dogs visit, they learn how much fun this is too. Once cookies are handed out, we either hang out on the couch for snuggle time while I play games on my phone or if I have an afternoon client, I head out for another couple hours. My evening routine is pretty consistent as well as I am a home body. I love our mountain home and evenings are the best time to go out on the deck, grill up some dinner while the pups run around and then watch the beautiful sunset. I feed the dogs in the same manner as in the a.m. only in bowls this time. After 30 minutes, it back out to potty. My cats always find a way to fit into our daily routine by finding my lap or sitting on my table for head scratches while I do reports. After dinner and sunset, we either continue to hang out on the porch or head inside to relax on the couch until bedtime. Bedtime is around 10 p.m. and the dogs go outside one final time and then get their final cookie of the day. My dogs all sleep in bed with me and once the lights are out, the snoring begins. We have a 2 level home on 4 acres (1 acre fenced in) on the side of a mountain outside of Clayton, GA. Our closest neighbor is hidden up our long driveway behind a thick area of trees and then there is one down the mountain, off to the side. We live on a mountain, gravel road...you can't even see our house from this road due to the thick trees and distance from the road. We live with dogs and cats and our house shows this. Our leather couches are covered with blankets and cat claws have marred all the corners and edges. We have a custom-built cat activity center on our living room walls so the cats can get up high and look out over the mountains. The only carpets in the house are 1. by my bed so I don't step on a cold floor in the morning and 2. in each of the bathrooms for the same reason. We understand that puppies and dogs can have accidents so this house was built with that in mind. Our yard is fenced with 4 foot tall goat fencing which we had professionally installed to assure it is tight with no holes at ground level and at the gates. Dogs are always introduced to our yard by first taking a leashed walk around the perimeter to see how they behave around the fence. Once this is done, we allow the dogs to freely walk around the yard, dragging a long line. We are looking to see if your dog shows any interest in escape through either digging, climbing on the fence, or pushing at the gates. If your dog (new dogs) is only boarding for a few days, they will only go out with the long line on for safety. If they are boarding longer, we will remove the line if they are showing no interest in escape and let them run freely with our dogs. If your dog enjoys walks, they will receive one daily as long as they walk nicely on a leash. If they are hard pullers, I offer training services to help them learn better leash manners so they can be walked with the group. In my home, dogs are allowed as much freedom as possible. I have crates and pens and am happy to use these for management (especially if a puppy isn't house trained yet) as well as when I leave and for sleeping. Each dog is unique so there is no standard rule. All dogs are fed separately. My goal is that your dog feels at home in my home. I want them to have fun and feel safe while you are away so that you can enjoy your time away and not worry about them. My partner is a Veterinarian and so are several of my friends. I hope to never have to use their services but if I do, they are always ready and willing with advice and care. However, if something does happen that requires Vet care, your Vet will be contacted and used if possible. Of course, you will be notified immediately as well. Safety is always my first priority, followed very closely by fun and meeting all daily requirements.
“Thank you Autumn for the excellent care you gave Charlie. Charlie had a fantastic time there. He came home very happy. I truly appreciated all of the communication we had with Autumn. We will definitely use Autumn in the future. If anyone is wondering, I am highly recommending Autumn. She gave individual attention to our dog Charlie. Charlie enjoyed playing with her son. Having him in Autumn's home was so much better than even the best kennel we have used elsewhere. I'm glad we found her.”

“Amanda did a wonderful job with our pup Sasha, who was quite anxious and had some separation anxiety. She was able to make Sasha feel at home and went above and beyond to keep her happy ?”

“Caroline was prompt and attentive to my new rescue Mr Bean, I appreciate the time she spent with him in the yard, keeping an eye out for his safety, not leaving him alone and playing with him. He was so calm and confident when I got home. I wil us her again and cannot recommend her enough!”

“Lindsay did an absolutely amazing job with our kitty, Ella!! She not only followed all of the schedules but shared photos with us while we were away! Lindsay took the time to play with Ella and comfort her in our absence. She gave us peace of mind that our Ella was well taken care of! We will definitely be utilizing Lindsay again!!”

“Rebekkah did a wonderful job taking care of my kitties while I was away! She was very communicative and sent me great pics and accommodated my unexpected travel plan changes.”

“This was the first time we had left Pip, our 12 year cat with anyone. We were nervous about how he would do having someone in his house. Could not have gone better. Dixie was great! Always sending updates, pictures and videos. Very obvious Pip was comfortable with her and glad to be in his own home. Will definitely schedule with Dixie again.”

“I ended up needing a short-notice, “panic” cat check-in option from Rover before a 10-day trip. Lillie responded and communicated promptly. Her response saved my trip, She did a pre-trip visit to check out my 5 fuzzies, then dealt well with them for several food and water refill and social interaction visits. When I need cat sitting services again, I will be going back to Lillie.”
About: I’ve cared for dogs, cats and hamsters for a couple of years first was my family dog, then my cat in college and roommate’s hamster I only work 2-3 days out of the week for only 2 hours and I am free weekends. Which gives me enough time to care for your pets and spend time with them. I can also care for smaller pets like fish or hamsters if needed. In my home, which is my dorm, I feed my cat twice a day and make sure his water bowl is always full and clean out his litter box at the beginning of each day. In case of a fire I grab my cat with his emergency bag and I have also helped my roommate get her hamster out during a fire drill. I always make sure to spend time playing with them as well. For clients I make sure to care for their pets as I would want anyone else to care for mine; providing the food as asked by the client and cleaning after the pet as asked which includes cleaning the litter box or going for walks and playing with the pets.

“Ro did a fantastic job looking after our 2 cats. They have very different needs and she cared for them both. She also left our house clean and tidy. Thank you Ro! We have already booked her again!”

“I can't say how happy I was to find Amanda! I am new to the area and finding a trusted sitter was such a relief. My kitties were happy, very well cared for, and mom and dad got to rest easy and know they were in good hands while we were away! Will definitely be booking again.”

“She is the best I’ve ever seen and I recommend her to anyone. Now I know where to take Gil when we go to casino. I love visiting this town-Bryson City. It is great. If u want to get anyone to sit or keep ur dog Michelle and Robbie are the best. I feel safe my dog is happy and having a blast.”

“Kim was absolutely wonderful with our older kitty, Georgia Mae! She came to our home a bit early so that she could meet us and our Kitty. I was hesitant to have anyone watch our kitty, because yes, I’m an overprotective fur baby mama, and could not bring myself to put her in anyone’s care but my own. Let me tell you, letting go, and letting Kim take care of her was one of the best things I’ve ever done! Kim was so loving to Georgia Mae, she showed her caring and love of fur babies right away, and our Lil girl went right up to Kim in trust....great sign! I am already looking at other dates in the near future for Kim to again show her love for Georgia Mae, and sweet manner with myself and my husband. She is the best! Thank you Kim! Thank you Rover! We now have a wonderful new friend of our family!”

“Nice lady that loves dogs. Amy took great care of my 2 pups for the day while we were on vacation in the area. Her yard is shaded with a fenced in area to play. I would happily take them back if we are visiting the area again.”

About: I bring a lifetime of hands, on experience and a naturally calm presence. I’ve cared for dogs and cats at every stage of life, from puppies and kittens to seniors, starting with volunteering at a veterinary hospital at age 12. I’m especially good at reading animals and helping them feel at ease in a new environment. I work from home, and pet care is part of my everyday routine. Being around animals, caring for them, and paying attention to their needs is second nature to me. The best part of my day is dog walks and cuddles. I focus on helping pets feel comfortable and secure. I stick closely to what they’re familiar with and take my cues from the animal. 💛
“Our puppy loved her last minute stay! Michelle was very accommodating while we were on vacation for a day care in her home. She sent us pictures and videos throughout the day of our dog playing with her dogs, getting treats, and gallivanting around the yard. She slept the whole rest of the afternoon. We couldn’t be happier. Thanks Michelle!”

“Amanda took great care of Benji and Stella! They had a blast playing with Cleo. They were happy and tired when we picked them up. Amanda is a natural with dogs--I would definitely recommend boarding your dog(s) with her when you are in the Smokies and want to do a long hike, because the park does not allow dogs.”

“We love Licia and Pete and are SO GRATEFUL to have such a pup-loving couple to hand our precious Sachie off to when we go rafting. Wish we could tip more, but River only allows so much. I always get a check in call from Licia to confirm all details early on (so I don’t have to initiate the call!) and our little baby comes back super happy and well-taken care of. Thank you sooo much for another great rafting trip! We appreciate you!!!”

About: I’ve been caring for dogs since I was about 10 years old. As soon as I was trusted with the responsibility, I was all in. Dogs have been a joyful and consistent part of my life ever since. I’m comfortable with everything from energetic puppies who need structure and patience to senior dogs who benefit from a slower pace and extra gentleness. I understand how important routine, positive reinforcement, and consistency are for helping dogs feel safe and secure. As a healthcare worker, I bring an added level of attentiveness, responsibility, and calm patience to the dogs in my care. I’m detail-oriented, observant, and committed to making sure each dog’s physical and emotional needs are met. What sets me apart is that I don’t just “watch” dogs - I truly engage with them. Whether that’s structured walks, playtime to burn energy, or relaxed companionship, I tailor my care to your dog’s unique personality. You can expect dependable communication, photo updates, and a sitter who genuinely enjoys every tail wag along the way. 🐾 My job has me working three days a week, which means the other four days I’m fully available and dedicated to caring for pups! On my off days, I have flexible availability for walks and drop-ins. Even on my working days, I’m organized and intentional with my schedule, and I only accept bookings I know I can give proper time and attention to. I believe dogs deserve unhurried, dependable care - not just a quick stop-in. My goal is to provide consistency, communication, and peace of mind so you can feel confident your dog is well cared for. 🐾 Your dog’s safety and comfort are always my top priority. When caring for pets in a client’s home, I’m respectful of your space and committed to maintaining your dog’s normal routine as closely as possible. Familiar environments help dogs feel secure, and I do everything I can to keep that consistency. I’m attentive during walks, mindful of surroundings, and cautious with other dogs and unfamiliar situations. Leashes, doors, gates, and feeding instructions are always double-checked. As a healthcare worker, I’m observant and quick to notice changes in behavior, appetite, or energy levels. You can trust that I will treat both your dog and your home with the same care and respect I would expect for my own. Clear communication and photo updates are always part of the experience, so you feel connected and confident while you’re away. 🐾
About: I would love to look after your fur babies. I have 2 dogs of my own and they truly are man's best friends. I would make sure I take care of yours just like I would my own. I work at a daycare in Highlands, Nc. I have a break during the day if I need to come walk a dog or feed an animal. I also live close to Highlands so I am available to help in the evenings as well. Like I said I have 2 dogs in my home. They are house trained so they are able to roam around the house. I can also make room for pet carrier.
“Cheyenne was so incredibly patient and responsive! We were in from out of town and wanted someone to check in on our dog while we were hiking in the park. Our dog was in great hands and whenever we are back in the area, we’ll definitely reach out. Couldn’t recommend Cheyenne more!”

“We've used Ro a couple times for over night stays and walks during the day and they've always been great. The most recent visit was for mid day walks. She was super communicative and helpful. One of our dogs had tummy issues and she went back to check on him and put him in his create to avoid accidents in the house. I'm so grateful to be able to trust her and that she's willing to go the extra mile for our animals.”

About: Since a little girl, there has always been dogs inside or outside of the house. As of right now, I have six dogs all different sizes, ages, and personalities. Therefore, I am very comfortable handling anything from energetic puppies to senior pups who need a gentler space. I understand how to manage multiple dogs at once and read their body language to make sure each one gets the care they need. Because of that, I am patient, adaptable, and used to real life situations. I treat every animal like they are my own regardless of where I am (why I have 6 lol), and make sure they feel safe and loved. I am currently a freshman in college who is fully online. Therefore, I have plenty of time on my hands to play with your pups and get what they need! During the summer time, I will be doing this full time as I will be on break. I have a large yard with many pups yours can play with. If needed, I can easily crate your dog if that is what you prefer, however, all dogs are welcome on the furniture here. I also have a quieter space for the older, wanting to sleep dogs🙂
About: Ever since I was 10 I have had experience taking care of animals. At one point in time we had 26 animals throughout our house that we had to care for. I take pride in caring for animals because they are a true joy and blessing in this world. I also have a dog of my own who is very well trained that I have had for 7 years now. I have quite a lot of free time. Therefore, potentially walking and taking care of your pets will not only give me something to fill my time with but also give me immense enjoyment! Any scheduling conflicts you may have won't be a problem for me! My house currently does not have a fence, however I will gladly walk your pets on a leash if need be. I have a lot of experience with animals and have no problem walking or putting your animals in a crate if it is what is needed.

“Amy and her family are amazing. Both my partner and I were kept up to date on everything and was even able to tend to our kitties eye issues. Definitely would book and recommend Amy for any type of sitting!!”

“If I could give 10 Stars, I would!!! Megan is the best…period. She communicates very well, my dog adores her, she’s diligent about bringing him outside for exercise, and she’s been unbelievably flexible! I will use her again and again and again!!”

“Laura was excellent in every single way. Communication was fantastic, she looked out for the well-being of our pup, and she was very kind. Highly recommend and will rebook again soon.”

“Tia is awesome! My pup’s first overnight and day camp went great. She sent lots of cute pics and the sweetest little write-up of how his stay went.

She did such a great job that my pup came back very improved! I know he had a great time and is recommend for anyone and everyone to use Mary. She was so caring and sweet that I gave her hugs before leaving. Thank you Mary! You brought so much peace for me to complete my section hike of the trail!”

“Brandi is amazing! She did great with our fur babies and making sure they had a great time. I really appreciated all the pictures she sent and all the updates! Definitely will be booking with her again! ?”

About: Hey there!! I've been around pets my whole life and absolutely LOVE them. We had a dog (dachshund) growing up as well as other animals like Rabbits and Guinea Pigs! I've had cats and dogs throughout my life as well. My bestie dog was named Sadie (corgi/husky mix) who was 17 when I had to let her go to the rainbow bridge March 2021...it was the hardest thing I've ever had to do 💔 I had her since she was about 1 yr old. She had a pacemaker put in about 2 yrs prior to passing and had a great life but I miss her like crazy. I've been Petsitting a long time but over the passed couple of years it's really helped heal my heart and has truly been a blessing. Most of my clients are from word of mouth over the years but I have this to help others get in touch with me if they need some help! I live in Lake Toxaway but I have jobs anywhere from Highlands, Trillium, Cullowhee, Cashiers, Sapphire, Lake Toxaway to Brevard. I mostly stay at my client's homes but I do bring some dogs to my house if it ends up being a better option. I've done puppy care and senior care as well so that doesn't phase me. I also can do medication or treatments needed. If I'm booked up for in home pet care then I can do drop ins 2x a day for cats 🐱 I can possibly offer that for dogs too but they usually need it 3x a day. So that would all depend on my availability. I work part time caretaking properties/cleaning, and childcare so I'm mostly home! When I do need to leave I'm not gone more then 3-6 hrs, depending on the job. I can travel further if I can move jobs around in my area. I'm very flexible and try to make things work if I can! I currently don’t have a fenced in yard but I will walk around my neighborhood and have a decent sized backyard. I treat your babies like they're my own so they get lots of lovin. Sometimes we go to the State Park too! If they like car rides I'll take them to check my mail or little errands.
