Both of our dogs had a great stay. Our old dog always travels with us - but she could not go on this trip. She ended up doing great! We really appreciated the messages and pictures during our trip!

Mary was the absolute best! My poor pup got 2 front paw injuries during our hike at the Appalachian trail. She came last minute to pick him up and care for him. She did such a great job that my pup came back very improved! I know he had a great time and is recommend for anyone and everyone to use Mary. She was so caring and sweet that I gave her hugs before leaving. Thank you Mary! You brought so much peace for me to complete my section hike of the trail!

Autumn was great. Our dogsitter fell through last minute and Autumn stepped in to fill the gap. She communicated daily with updates and photos, and was very accomdating about pick up and drop off time adjustments. My senior (nearly blind) lab was happy upon my return.

Tia is awesome! My pup’s first overnight and day camp went great. She sent lots of cute pics and the sweetest little write-up of how his stay went. I felt so comfortable leaving my little guy with her, especially after getting to meet the other dogs and seeing how calm and loving she was in her interactions with all of them. We are so grateful that our dog has a safe and nurturing place to socialize, play, and tire himself out! We will definitely be back and he can’t wait 😊

Amanda took great care of our little guy while we did some overnight hiking in the GSMNP! She is very conveniently located for many of the local attractions and we will be contacting her for some doggy daycare or overnight stays next time we are in the WNC mountains so Willie will enjoy his vacation as well in great company!

Our dog normally exhibits some separation anxiety but when we left him to board with Summer he adjusted well. Her family gave him plenty of attention and he enjoyed playing with their dog. The photo updates and good night messages were very thoughtful. I appreciated the communication since our dog is not often out of our sight. I have full confidence in Summer and will definitely be a repeat customer.

You can rest assured no matter where you are, near or far, you can count on me providing a loving environment, whether in your home or mine. Your furbaby(ies) will get lots of love and attention. Whether you're here or traveling abroad your furbabies are safe and well provided for. Personally, knowing from experience how hard it is to leave a pet in kennel style boarding with barking dogs all day. I'm a stay at home family, looking forward to making extra money while having a nice time together in a kind and loving home. I like to abide by routines to make your pups stay a fun experience that they will look forward to a return stay. Currently, my home has one sweet female dog who is looking for someone to enjoy watching the birds with from out screen porch. Playing in the yard or taking walks for exercise.

About: I have taken care of dogs my whole life. I am a trustworthy retired RN who is looking to spoil your dogs while you are away. I am a non-smoker and very active with walking/hikes and pickleball. I am retired now for 5 years and spend my day actively with hike/bikes/pickleball to name a few activities. I am available most days with proper notice. I do not have a fenced yard but do have a 7-year-old dog named Dori who gets her exercise walking daily. If you pup likes fenced in yards caring for your dog would be better at your home.

The first time I board my dog somewhere new, I am always a little uneasy, but as soon as I met Licia in her lovely and cheerful home I felt completely at ease about leaving my dearest little canine companion in her care. Licia sent several text updates with photos, and I could see that my dog was settling in very well and quite comfortable. I am so happy and grateful to have found Licia and Pete and will not hesitate to board with them again!

Joyce was a pleasure to work with. I felt really comfortable leaving my pack with her. There is a big yard for the dogs to frolic in and the boys were able to stay in a room and play together with out mixing with other dogs. My pack can be a little quirky and she was able to roll with their personalities wonderfully. Her daily updates were hilarious and it felt like she cared for my boys like they were her own.

  • Health and safety essentials such as their ID tags, vaccination records, medication, and emergency vet or secondary caregiver contacts.
  • Food and gear such as harnesses, collars, food (portioned by day), and an item that smells like you.

Every sitter on Rover is required to pass a background check before listing their services. This process confirms their identity and indicates they are not on the Department of Justice’s National Sex Offender Public Website or have any disqualifying offenses.

Beyond ID checks, you can review each sitter's star rating, read verified reviews from other pet parents, and see how many repeat clients they have. Every booking is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes up to $25,000 in eligible veterinary care. For more details, visit Rover's Trust & Safety page .

While each sitter sets their own vaccine requirements, staying up-to-date on your dog’s vaccines is the best way to be "boarding ready". Vaccinations help create a safe environment for all pets under a sitter’s care.

Many sitters in NC ask that dogs be up to date on core vaccines like the Canine Parvovirus, Canine Distemper, Canine Adenovirus, Bordetella, and Rabies.

By discussing your pet's health history early, you’re adding a layer of confidence for you and your sitter before the booking begins.

If a health concern arises during a stay, your sitter is instructed to contact you and our Trust & Safety team immediately and, if needed, take your dog to the closest veterinarian. Through our Trust & Safety support team, sitters can ask for diagnostic advice from a qualified veterinary professional if your dog is showing signs of possible illness.

For extra peace of mind, you can also prepare an authorization form for your regular vet. An authorization form outlines your preferred method of care and allows your sitter to bring your pet into their regular clinic.

Every qualified booking made on Rover is backed by the Rover Guarantee, which includes reimbursement for eligible emergency vet care.
