We had tried our vet's kennel and even the "luxury" pet kennels, but our dog is a "people" dog, and was definitely traumatized by those places, and it took days for her to get back to our normal dog. Putting my dog in a cage for days is NOT what we wanted. But Maribel was our answer. She loved on Gracie, played with her, texted us with pictures, and when we picked her up, she was not traumatized. She was her happy, normal dog self. We are grateful for Maribel and highly recommend her.”

About: I was that kid who would sit in the middle of a chicken coop to play with my feathery friends. Lol I must say that I connect way easier to animals than I do humans, which is something I take to high regard. You can’t fool an animal..they know who you are the minute they lay eyes on you as they show you who they are with no filters every single day. My family growing up was not too keen on pets so I settled for birds and waited for adulthood to volunteer in shelters and later getting my cat (Olivia) and then 7yrs later, my Pup, Bizzy. I don’t have much experience in administering syringe related but already have a handful of experience administering oral. I work full-time as a college admissions counselor and live 10 mins away from the school. I walk Bizzy every morning at around 7:30 - 8 am then I usually visit home during lunch, then I walk her again after coming home and feeding them dinner. I have a 2 bedroom townhouse with a baby door to use around the house, when needed. Whatever is needed of you furry companion, I will come through or let you know honestly if I can’t.

About: I myself have a deaf and anxious pup. From her, I have learned how to navigate certain tough situations. I have had to put so much time and effort into her training and am watching her become an amazingly happy and well behaved dog (she even knows a bit of sign language!) I also lost a buddy back in July. He was 14 years old and required medication administration many times a day. With him I learned a lot about helping the old guys feel as happy and safe as possible because they are probably scared of the changes they are experiencing in their lives. I am very active and love going on long walks, so having a dog there would just be an extra bit of fun! I am currently in school but only taking a few classes. I'll have time to play with your pups in the evening especially if you need a night off but they still need a walk! I live in an apartment so leashes are crucial. I would never let my own dog off the leash, so I would never put your dog in a situation where something could go wrong. My own dog is quite reactive on the leash, so if I sense that we are approaching a person/dog/object that might trigger her reactivity I usually steer clear of it to avoid any kind of avoidable altercation. I want every dog to feel safe so i will adjust based on what your dog’s body language is telling me.

About: I have been caring for the pets of friends and family for years, and my family has two dogs! I have cared for pets with a wide variety of temperaments and needs, including one of my own dogs who has a history of reactivity. I am a student-athlete home in Winston for the summer, which allows me the flexibility to build my schedule around pet care needs. I am available most weekdays and weekends and can perform frequent check ins. When caring for pets in your home I prioritize keeping your pets routine consistent and following instruction on feeding, walk routines, medication and anything else as closely as possible!
About: I’ve taken care of dogs small and large since 2016 for family friends and neighbors. I have a real passion for animal care and my utmost priority is to make sure the well being of your pet is at an all time high. I’ve also gone through online training courses for dogs and cats detailing proper care techniques. Thursday afternoon's from four to six are my only recurring schedule block currently. I will update this when or if this ends up changing. I can tailor the visit to how best it is to fit your pet’s needs. On visits where a potty break is needed, they will be taken out and given treats and lots of love with some fresh water. On meal visits they will be given their meals and fresh water with lots of love as well. On overnight visits I follow the directions exactly and leave the place and the pet(s) looking and feeling better than when I arrived.

My experience includes: fostering and training a 7 year old husky mix with behavioral problems and training my 3 year old dog since puppyhood with the help of a friend who is a behavioral dog trainer. I’m comfortable with most size breeds and would welcome a meet and greet. I’m currently studying for school, so I have plenty of time to care for your fur babies! I’m available most early afternoons to evenings Monday through Sunday. I offer overnight stays as well as an extended stays. I offer multiple walks per day and enrichment time to dogs I sit for. I’m happy to crate your dog as needed and follow any routine medication, diet and commands that would maintain their safety and happiness. I spent time working at a doggy daycare called Ruff Housing and I got to learn further how to take care of a variety of dog types with a variety of personalities. I currently work from home and get to create my own hours so I will have plenty of time to spend time with your pets or make sure I am able to walk them. We had tried our vet's kennel and even the "luxury" pet kennels, but our dog is a "people" dog, and was definitely traumatized by those places, and it took days for her to get back to our normal dog. Putting my dog in a cage for days is NOT what we wanted. But Maribel was our answer. She loved on Gracie, played with her, texted us with pictures, and when we picked her up, she was not traumatized.
