This offers your pups a secure, private environment where they can run, play, and explore safely—a rare find in many parts of the city! While I am currently a "cat dad" to my 8-year-old resident cat, I have been a lifelong dog owner. From my earliest childhood memories until earlier this year, dogs have always been a central part of my home and heart. This lifelong experience means I am deeply familiar with canine behavior, exercise needs, and the unique companionship they provide. I am an expert at managed, slow introductions to ensure that my senior cat and your pups coexist peacefully and safely. Daily Care: As a high school science teacher, I am currently on summer break and have transitioned into "full-time pet care" mode! My schedule is wide open from late May through mid-August, meaning I am home throughout the day to provide frequent potty breaks, backyard playtime, and plenty of companionship. Weekly Availability: I offer a rotating schedule for boarding. My calendar is always kept up-to-date, so you can easily see which days I am open for overnight stays or daycare only. Consistency: Because I am not balancing an office job during the summer, I can strictly adhere to whatever feeding, medication, or exercise schedule your pet requires. I pay close attention to details—from a dog’s body language and energy levels to their specific feeding and medication schedules. She allowed Taku and I to come meet her and her cats to see if they all got along, before we booked her for a half day of day care. Taku did really well at her place! About: I've been an animal lover my entire life and have cared for everything from reptiles to rodents to larger 4-legged creatures. I spontaneously rescued a dog 20 years ago which ended up being one of the best decisions of my life. I spent 15 years with my little buddy exploring trails, taking car rides, lazily cuddling on the couch and having lots of one-way conversations. He unfortunately passed away a happy old man but during that time, taught me patience, dedication, playfulness and gave me a special appreciation for dogs. I have vast experience being around a variety of dogs of all shapes, sizes and personality types. I work from home in an office setting during the week so I would be around the house most of the time to keep tabs on things and for backyard potty breaks (have a fenced in backyard). During the week, I would be available before 8:00am, during my lunch break and after 4:30pm for walks or to stop by your house for check-ins. On weekends, I am not working so I would be available all day. I live next to Tower Grove Park and enjoying spending time outside or walking in the park. I have a cozy home with a small fenced-in backyard that is perfect for small to medium sized dogs. My house is tidy, quiet and currently don’t have any pets, so my home is perfect dogs who prefer that kind of environment. I generally don’t need to leave the house too often so your pet would be hanging with me most of the time. When boarding, I am able to provide two 20 minute walks per day and as many backyard potty breaks as they need.

About: I have been taking care of my own animals my whole life, and have sat for other people on numerous occasions. I have also assisted with much of the care and feeding of a dog and several cats over the years. I live in South St. Louis City, and I can only really work there or in areas near there, but if you live close to me you will never be without the help you need. I can stay in your house if you'd like me to, but I can't keep other people's pets in my house because I have a very nervous and shy cat who would be made uncomfortable by this and a crazy dog who might scare your pets. I repeat: I can stay in your house or I can just pop in and out to take care of your pets, but I cannot have outside animals stay in my home. I also walk dogs. The rates for that might be a little bit different, but I assure you they will still be affordable. I have to say though that I cannot walk for an extended period in thunderstorms or freezing/icey temperatures. That's for my safety as well as your dog's. I will be your pet's new best friend and your asset when you are in a pinch or are going somewhere and can't take care of them. I have loved animals since I was a child, and I rarely find one with which I don't get along. I don't have a job which will take me out of town frequently, so I can provide my services as long as they are needed. I look forward to meeting you and your adorable animal friends! I will be your best friend if you want to plan dog-sitting in advance or a scheduled dog walking (ex: every Mon, Tues, Weds). Disclaimer: I often spend time in Indiana with my fiancé, but it is no problem to get back to Missouri when I am scheduled on Rover, as Missouri is my home base. If you want someone to make your animal feel special, please keep me in mind. I have enthusiastically attended a hamster's birthday party, and that is the energy I'd put into your animal. I also personally have experience with golden retrievers, labs, mini aussies, siberian cats, etc. I would love to teach your dog new tricks or just cuddle and play with them. I hope to care for your animal(s), and provide excellent communication and service for both the animal and owner! I'm currently spending most of my time in Weldon Spring, MO planning my wedding and starting a small business. I spend about 8 days in Indiana every month to visit my fiancé, but those travel dates are very flexible and I can drive back as needed (4.5 hours away). I don't currently offer boarding services as I'm back in the family home, but I will be offering those as soon as I get a home. Stay tuned! If I'm in your home, I am following your rules. I understand that your pets are family, and they deserve a sitter who is as invested in their well-being as you are. I live in a quiet South City home (63111) featuring a fully fenced-in backyard. This offers your pups a secure, private environment where they can run, play, and explore safely—a rare find in many parts of the city! While I am currently a "cat dad" to my 8-year-old resident cat, I have been a lifelong dog owner. From my earliest childhood memories until earlier this year, dogs have always been a central part of my home and heart. This lifelong experience means I am deeply familiar with canine behavior, exercise needs, and the unique companionship they provide. I am an expert at managed, slow introductions to ensure that my senior cat and your pups coexist peacefully and safely. Daily Care: As a high school science teacher, I am currently on summer break and have transitioned into "full-time pet care" mode! My schedule is wide open from late May through mid-August, meaning I am home throughout the day to provide frequent potty breaks, backyard playtime, and plenty of companionship. Weekly Availability: I offer a rotating schedule for boarding. My calendar is always kept up-to-date, so you can easily see which days I am open for overnight stays or daycare only. Consistency: Because I am not balancing an office job during the summer, I can strictly adhere to whatever feeding, medication, or exercise schedule your pet requires. I pay close attention to details—from a dog’s body language and energy levels to their specific feeding and medication schedules. My goal is to create a predictable, low-stress environment where your pet feels like a member of the family. I have a fully (6 foot tall) fenced-in backyard where dogs can play safely. I always supervise yard time to ensure no "great escapes" or unwanted digging. I also always clean up after bathroom breaks in my yard. I use baby gates and separate "safe zones" to ensure my cat and your pups coexist peacefully. I worked for a vet clinic many years ago but still remember some emergency techniques. I can send daily photos and keep your vet's information at hand. It's also good for me to know more about your pet as in: Does your pet have any "triggers" (squirrels, mailmen, other dogs)? Are there any "off-limits" pieces of furniture or rooms? What is their favorite way to be comforted if they get homesick? Etc.
