“Hire this woman! I needed to find a pet sitter for a week very last minute and I found Brittany. I’ve never left my cat Dutch with anyone so I was definitely stressed. But I knew within minutes of meeting Bri I had chosen the right person. My cat is very shy but she warmed right up to Bri. The pics and vids I got during my time away showed how happy Dutch was with her sitter. I was surprised at how well it went. She was playing and getting brushed and petted and so obviously calm and content even though she was alone for the first time and couldn’t go outside. Bri also did thoughtful things like get my mail and take out my trash. She made me feel comfortable leaving my home as well as my baby cat. She was a great communicator throughout my time away with good updates. She made it much easier to enjoy myself and not worry about my baby. It was obvious Dutch had been well cared for when I got home. She did not seem at all traumatized by being suddenly left alone so long for the first time, with strangers and stuck inside. I think that really speaks to how good Brittany is with animals. Take my advice and save some clicks and choose Brittany. She is sweet and kind with a big heart. About: Honestly I love taking care of animals. I have a few of my own. Salem (cat) and Oscar (pup) Salem is very laid back and so friendly it’s insane. And Oscar being a puppy loves being around anyone and any pet. I currently work full time M-F but please know I will always make time for your fur babies. I’m usually available after 5pm on weekdays and I’m always available on weekends. I do not have a fenced in yard unfortunately but I do have a big grass area behind my house. For the past year I have taken care of 2 other dogs and the best quality that I have is I am flexible and will do last minute tasks for the clients I have. I don't believe in keeping a pet caged up all day because they are like humans they need to eat, be walked and given attention. I will give update on how your pet is doing. If you need to have your patience go to the Vet or groomers I will pick up the pet and taken him or her to their appointment. If any medication is needed I will make sure they get it. I work part time taking care of the Elderly and I have extra time to work with animals. And help other pet parents get away for the weekend and vacation. About: Hello! I'm Karissa, and I've been an animal lover ever since I was a little girl. Growing up, my parents ran a pet shop, so I had the pleasure of being surrounded by all sorts of critters. Because of this upbringing, I've had the joy of caring for a wide range of animals, getting to know their unique needs and keeping them healthy and happy. In my own little family, we currently have three sweet cats and a playful puppy who's just six months old. We live in the lovely countryside near Festus, with a whole acre of land securely fenced for our furry pals to explore. We even have a pool, and you can trust us when we say we take pool safety seriously! We love a good game of fetch or tug of war and have been really getting into positive reinforcement training. About: All my life, I have bonded with both dogs and cats, and animals in general. I have been told that I have an ability to connect with any animal effortlessly. While I have been dog-sitting for friends, family, and others for about four years, I also have worked as a Caregiver at CARE STL, an animal shelter in St. Louis. During my time at CARE, I fed, walked, played, and formed connections with over 100 dogs, as well as cats and other animals. About: Friends and family always joke that if I could own a zoo, I would certainly have one. I’ve had my own dogs since I was old enough to convince my mom it would be a good idea. 5 fur babies I claim as my own, my two and my boyfriends 3. That’s a lot of dog hair! I have experience in oral medication administration, grooming, surgical aftercare, and experience working with both puppies and large dogs alike. I have experience working with dogs who have anxiety courtesy of my pup Willow, and continue to learn a lot along the way. Experience working with dietary restrictions due to health issues, and the special needs of those whose hair is turning grey. I love providing enrichment for my pups, mental stimulation is key! I am currently available most weekdays for drop ins and walks between 10am and 4pm, and on weekends I have mostly open availability. I would love to get to know you and your pup and develop a routine if you’re looking for regular services! Though I don’t offer boarding in my home currently, safe practices are of the utmost importance to me when it comes to the health and security of your pets and your peace of mind when you’re away from them. I am comfortable with re-securing kennel and crate trained dogs, and am effective at coaxing those who aren’t so fond of their crate. One of our pups is an extremely large and loving Great Pyrenees and she’s about as stubborn as a mule, but she responds better to me than the rest of her two footed family members! If your baby has a strict feeding schedule or timed medication doses, I am very mindful of this when working with them, and will thoroughly follow any set feeding guidelines or dosages that are laid out. Every dog has their own unique personality and quirks that make them special, and sometimes those quirks can lead to pet parent concern, I love to get to know a dog’s personality from their owners, because it helps me to work with them in providing the best care possible for their needs by knowing how they respond in different situations or interactions. Communication is key! I harness and recall trained my dogs, and know that both are an important combination to maintaining safety when out of the home. If you have a reactive dog who’s in need of some exercise, rest assured that I will keep their safety as well as the safety of others in mind when out on a walk. Maintaining distance and providing redirection if and when needed.
About: I grew up around dogs working at a grooming shop and love animals! My children are older. They are 21 and 18 and loves animals as well! I do wfh. I’m available during the week and weekends as well. I do have a Pom-a-Poo, Brooklyn and a cat, Milo. They are sweet and loving! I enjoy on nice days taking dogs to the dog park, walks on trails, or through my neighborhood. I do not have a fenced in yard but will take them outside on a leash frequently. I also ask if your dog is crated to bring your crate as well. I feed them on the schedule you provide and walks as well I am currently working from home and available to maintain any schedule or routine as needed to ensure dog/puppy day to day in minimally disrupted I have a fenced in yard and make sure I do not leave out items they can get into or harmful to ensure their safety
About: I have always had dogs and cats. I did have a bird for a little while. I also currently have chickens, turtles, fish and a tortoise. I love to play fetch, or cuddle up with a furball. I schedule my time to allow plenty of time for each visit. I'm currently available most days of the week to care for your pets. I have a fenced in yard. My dogs would be kept downstairs while your dog is in the house. I also have a couple crates if needed. Dogs are allowed on the furniture. Cats can be put in bedrooms if needed for a short time.
About: I’ve had dogs since I was born and love seeing their joy when they see me walk in the door! I am very good with anxious dogs as I currently have a shy and anxious pup. He takes medications so I am also familiar with administer medications to pups should that be needed! I will be working as a pharmacy resident and I’m looking to make some extra cash doing something I love. I’d love to work more time into being outside and what better way to get outside than with pets! In my home I have a fenced in yard so my pup and I can play outside and he can run free. While fenced yards are great, enrichment outside the home is also very valuable so walks are also a staple!
About: I am a dog mom and also have had chickens,turkeys, a ferret and bunnies. I was a zookeeper for almost 10 years. I recently graduated with my PhD in biology and my focus is on river ecology. I love animals and would love spending time with your fur baby! My schedule is flexible during the summer/currently.
