The first dog I watched for a family (a beautiful Alaskan husky) had diabetes and required diabetic shots twice a day. Even though it hurt to have to give him shots, I loved having the opportunity to care for dogs other than my own. Since then I’ve had the opportunity of being the go-to dog watcher for several families with several different dog (and cat) breeds. I will make every effort to give your dog the same care that I was able to give Skyler and the rest of the dogs I’ve had the great fortune of watching and taking care of. There’s not many things that give me more joy than spending time with dogs. Now that I have more time on my hands in my 30’s I have recently gotten connected with volunteering with KC Pet Project. Dogs deserve all the love in the world. I currently work from home Monday and Friday so in addition to the weekend, it opens up availability to be present for the doggie. I’m in the office Tuesday - Thursday but available for morning/evening and quick bathroom breaks over lunch. I have a fenced in backyard and ample space inside the house to make your dog comfortable. I can crate if needed, but also have rooms that can function as “dog” rooms for the periods when I need to leave the house. I have my own Belgian Malinois, who mostly does her own thing. :)

If your dog needs longer than 30 minutes, Incan also do a longer walk for an hour. I make a point to ensure pets are following their schedules and any training they are working on. I always make sure to double check any needs/wants with the owner, to make sure pets are at their most comfortable. Let me know how your pet thrives in their environment, the more details the better! About: I grew up on a family farm in Iowa, raising beef cattle, chickens, dogs, cats, horses and the occasional raccoon! I have experience from bottlefeeding newborn baby animals up to senior pets. My schedule varies weekly. I am a professional photographer that works on site and from home. My “home work” location is flexible as long as I have Wi-Fi! I can be fairly flexible with times as well as staying with your pet. For pets in my home, I live in an apartment with my boyfriend and there’s a river trail nearby for longer walks along with a pet area at my complex. I have previously stayed at and checked daily friends, family, and clients homes while they’re out of town/at work to care for their pets as well as farm animals. “Nelson stayed with Noreen over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend. She sent pictures of him in the morning, afternoons, and evening each day of his stay. She was very communicative and I didn't have to wonder how he was doing. Noreen was very accommodating to Nelson's diet. He stayed with two of his toys, his special food bowl, treats, and leashes. Noreen had a bed for him to sleep on and water bowls. Pictures showed Nelson enjoying being out in their backyard, going for walks, and playing with the other dogs. It appears he had a great time and I am very grateful that he got to stay with such a nice family over the holiday weekend. I had booked his stay on short notice because it had slipped my mind in preparation for my upcoming trip. All of the local kennels for boarding were booked. Noreen made it very easy for me to book his stay. It was very much appreciated. I highly recommend using her services and would definitely book again.”

“Amanda provided such a wonderful home away from home for our dog, Libby, that we were almost nervous she wouldn't want to come home! She was beyond amazing, both in taking care of the dog and us as we fretted over leaving Libby for such a long time. Amanda provided several updates a day along with pictures. We could not be happier with how she took care of our dog and will never look anywhere else for help. Libby made strong bonds that I'm certain are reciprocated so I know she'll be happy to go back when we need a dog sitter in the future. Amanda deserves 10 stars!!!! 🤩”
