“Katie is an amazing sitter. She watched our dog Ramen for a week. She kept him active with walks and took so many pictures/videos. Her dogs are so cute and they became bffs. We were so lucky to have Katie as our sitter. Her communication is exceptional and I can tell she really loves what she does. Please have Ramen back!”

“Hather had an amazing time with Kyle, who took the best care of our big old guy and was attentive to his needs. Thanks Kyle for making a home-away-from-home for our dog!”

“Jenny and Mark were fantastic with Obi and our first time using Rover. They made me feel 100% comfortable with leaving Obi with them for the first time ever, and communication was open and reassuring. I received several updates while on our trip and found Obi very happy and comfortable staying with them. Will absolutely be reaching out to them again in the future!”

“Our chihuahua/terrier Fitz loved his stays with Lan! He returns to her house with a hop in his step, running full speed ahead into her arms. His behavior says it all - he feels safe and we’ll cared for. What more could we ask? We live out of town and connected with Lan on a family visit - we hope to have Lan care for Fitz in future visits!”

“Claire took such good care of our girl! She was super accommodating and sent photos throughout her stay. We will totally book with Claire again and can’t recommend her enough!”

“As always Roxanne took great care of my fur baby! He usually sticks by me but when we get to Roxanne’s he has no probably walking in without even one glance back because he just loves being there.”

“Debbie and Mike are great! They are very responsive and made sure our puppy was well taken care of with lots of pictures and updates throughout the week. We would definitely book with them again!”

“Absolutely wonderful!!! I have a senior dog who is super needy! I am the type of person who’s scared to leave my dog when I travel, but I didn’t even worry about him while he was with Rachel. He loves her!!! I got pictures the whole time and just knew he was in good hands!”
“Second time using Luke and Rachel. They are great with Daisy and seem like dog people. Daisy was well cared for, we got updates on how she was doing, they communicate well and pick up/drop off is easy. Will use again!”

“Dale and Betsy took great care of my little peanut I took comfort in knowing she was always with someone and sitting in someone's lap like she always likes to do they were really great!”

“🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Ashley is Incredible! Ashley watched our French Bulldog, Blue Bell, for 5 days, and she was absolutely wonderful! Frenchies definitely come with their own unique quirks and big personalities, but Ashley didn't skip a beat. She completely embraced Blue Bell's quirkiness and made sure she felt comfortable, happy, and loved the entire time. It is such a relief to find a sitter who truly understands and appreciates your dog's individual personality. Ashley is a genuine dog lover—reliable, attentive, and is very knowledgeable about different types of dogs. We will absolutely be using her again and highly recommend her to anyone looking for top-tier care!”

“I was very comfortable with Danielle and Chad. My dogs were well cared for, I didn't have a moment of concern. It was the first time leaving Lola, they were patient with her although she was rather skittish. I highly recommend them if you need care for your dogs.”

“Allene took such good care of my bb Sloane! She sent great recaps and the cutest photos each day. She also has two wonderful pups that offered Sloane a lot of friendship and play during her stay and they were gentle with her since she’s little! Would definitely book Allene again!”

“Julie, Jesse, and their family took such great care of my Pepper! It was my first time boarding him but he was in such great hands. I got lots of communication/updates, photos, and clarifying questions when things arose. Pepper got top notch treatment!”

“Stan has an ideal place to host a dog, a huge backyard, part of it landscaped and part of it wooded with trails, and all securely fenced. Zoe loves to be outside and had a blast staying with Stan and his two very friendly dogs. Stan was very meticulous about gathering any important information about Zoe at the Meet & Greet before the boarding. Also, he loves dogs and his house is very dog friendly-- many dog beds for lounging, and a carte blanche for Zoe to venture about the house. I appreciated the photos, videos, and insightful updates that he provided during Zoe's stay.”

“Robert was the BEST Rover we have ever had!!! I cannot recommend him enough 😃 Our dog, Archie, had a great time staying with him and got lots of love, attention, and walkies 🐾 Robert sent such fun updates, pictures, and videos that we loved getting and made us smile so much while away from our little guy 🤍 We will definitely be booking with him anytime we need to board Archie again in the future. I would give him 10 stars if I could ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

“Jessica and her family took great care of Hank while we were gone! When my husband went to pick him up, he said that Hank initially started going back to the house instead of the car. Definitely a testament to how he was treated and how much he enjoyed being there. I also appreciated the updates and pictures. We would definitely trust Jessica to watch Hank again.”

About: Experience: While I may be new to Rover, I’m definitely not new to pet sitting! I’ve been taking care of animals my entire life - having experience with my own family dogs (both over and under 100lbs) as well as friends' and extended family's furbabies. I absolutely love dogs and firmly hold the belief that all dogs are good dogs - even if they might seem a little unruly at times. Special Treatment/Services: Training: I’m not a certified trainer and don’t claim to be one. If you keep my services for long enough that I have a chance to connect with your dog and understand his or her needs, and you would like me to work with them on basic commands I am definitely willing to give it my best shot! I’ve been extremely successful in the past with helping dogs learn their manners while on a leash, and have even been successful at the occasional “sit/shake” routine. Medications: I’m well versed in how to administer oral medications for both dogs and cats, but will not be able to administer vaccines or other intravenous medications. Special diets, flea collars, and pills are all well known to me and I can administer or apply them to your dog with ease. Grooming: I have both hose and bathtub experience with giving dogs a bath, so long as I know which shampoo they use. My mom was a certified pet groomer for several years, so I learned how to properly brush, bathe, and trim nails. If your dog manages to jump in a pile of mud or needs a good brush out, I’ll be able to do those things so long as you have the supplies on-hand. If you would like me to come over specifically to bathe or groom your dog, please note that I am not a certified groomer and have absolutely no experience or comfort around cutting hair or doing specialty grooming services. Car Rides: If you give the OK, your dog isn’t anxious in cars, and the weather is appropriate, I love taking dogs on adventures to parks and other local destinations in St. Paul. It’s great socialization for your dog, and a whole lot of fun! Drop-Ins: I make every minute about your pet until they’re successfully tired out. If they aren’t very active or don’t need much in the way of care, I will always stay for the full 30 minutes just to keep them company and offer lots of affection. If your pet has a feeding time during my drop in, please let me know and give instructions on their meal routine (do they have special food? do they need to do something before they eat like sit or wait? do I take the bowl away at a certain time? etc) so I can make sure they eat and I don't mess up any training you've done. Routines are everything for dogs and I would hate to miss part of their routine out of ignorance. I’ll do my best to keep track of any “accidents” they may have had between the time you left and the time I arrived, and I’ll clean up to the best of my ability. You’ll be the first to know if something unusual is happening or if I need assistance in understanding your dog’s behavior. House Sitting: I have 10 years worth of experience house sitting for friends and family who have both dogs and cats. I'm totally willing to stay at your home if that is what your furry friend needs! While I'm with your pet at home, you can expect that I will keep everything exactly as I found it. I keep my own home very tidy and I do enjoy cleaning, so you may come home to clean dishes and a vacuumed or swept floor, but there's no need to worry about rearranged furniture, damage to your home, or theft of any kind. I'm not that type of person, and I hope to have your trust on that. If your dog has special needs, I'm probably not the house sitter you're looking for. While I do have experience with special needs pets and am more than happy to schedule a Drop-In, my schedule isn’t suited for a special needs pet. Availability: Im a full-time healthcare worker, so my schedule is a little crazy but surprisingly consistent! I keep my availability updated as much as possible to reflect that. The bottom line is this: I adore all types of pets and would love to meet your furry friend!

About: Cats have always been my specialty. I share my home with rescue cats from a variety of backgrounds, giving me hands on experience with many different personalities, ages, and care needs. I'm comfortable caring for senior cats and those who need extra attention, including administering medication, cleaning around the eyes, brushing, and making sure they receive the correct food and feeding routine. I understand that every cat is different, and I take the time to learn what makes each one feel safe and comfortable. A clean litter box is essential to a cat's well being, especially for cats who are particular about their routine. I thoroughly scoop, stir, refresh litter as needed, and keep the area clean so your cat stays happy and comfortable. I also believe cat care is about more than food and litter. During every visit, I spend quality time with your cat based on their personality—whether that's gentle pets, interactive play with toys, quiet companionship, or simply letting them set the pace. My goal is for your cat to feel safe, relaxed, and cared for while you're away. I'll also send photo updates so you can see how your cat is doing and enjoy a few cute moments while you're gone. I care for every cat as if they were one of my own, and I know how much peace of mind that can bring to fellow cat lovers.

“She is amazing this was my first time using the app and she was very sweet and definitely someone who goes above and beyond will definitely be rebooking with her often. Thanks for everything Trina!”

“Lisa was reliable and sent me pictures I had asked for. She was good at getting a pill in and down, and was patient with my shy girl. I appreciated Lisa's professionalism and attention to caring for my two cats while I was away. Highly recommended!”

“Thank you Sarah! You are so good with bully breeds so I felt totally comfortable leaving Gordy with you. Thank you for your kindheartedness and flexibility during my first time using Rover.”

“I want to thank Tristan and her family for watching Marlowe for us. Marlowe was a happy puppy when we picked her up! When she is happy and wagging her tail, I know she's had a positive experience. If we are ever in the cities again and need a sitter I will not hesitate to use Tristan again! Plus, she watched her late into the evening for us because we were going to a concert!!”

“Our Aussie/Border collie had a delightful time at doggy daycare every day for a week. Jessica and her husband were very communicative, prompt and sent photos. They were patient working through our dog's anxiety on the second day (when he realized this was not just a one-off play date), and he ended up happy and comfortable the rest of the week, playing all day with their resident dog and another friend. We'd recommend them as excellent dogsitters and wouldn't hesitate to use them again.”

About: Hi! My name is Allie and I've spent most of my life loving and caring for pets in multiple different environments over the years. I grew up with a bushel of miniature schnauzers, a few rodents and a snake. In college I took in a feral barn kitten and made her the talk of the university! After college, I spent 5-6 years working in a dog daycare facility which gave me experience with all different breeds and an immense amount of knowledge on behavior. After doggy daycare I moved on to working in a veterinary hospital which was an incredible resource and opportunity for me to increase me knowledge on medications as well as other medical knowledge. I would love to have the opportunity to spoil your pet as well as give you a safe space to leave your furry friend! Over the summer I am out of work and home with my pups and kids. In late August I will be headed back to work at a school nearby but working relatively short hours. We love to go on walks, to the dog park, the human park or just lounge in the back yard. I live in a 4 bedroom house with a large back yard. It is not fenced in but I do have a long line. I have a 12 year old pup who is a calm, unbothered queen and a year old pup who loves everyone and everything. In addition, I have 2 kiddos that are incredibly respectful of other pets space and will love your pets as much as their own however they can be crated if needed 😉

About: Hello! I'm a single woman with a large, loving home and lifestyle that lets dogs thrive. I like to share this with others, as I know first-hand the peace of mind that comes from boarding your dog with someone you trust implicitly. * I work from home, so the dogs are rarely alone * I have a fenced-in yard and dogs get to go out frequently throughout the day * I'm very active and go for walks and trips to Battle Creek and High Bridge frequently * I have a Frenchie who keeps to himself. Lazy dogs can chill with him and active dogs get to go on walkies with me * Couches and beds are allowed, so snoozing and sleeping is done in comfort I live alone and work from home and have ample time to take care of treasured pets. I walk daily for at least and hour and my Frenchie's not into that, so I'd love to have a walking buddy, or my Frenchie would love to have a lounging buddy. With a fenced-in yard, a daily step goal, and couches and bed available for lounging, dogs will be happy and well-exercised. I will take care of them like one of my own.
About: I've had lots of experience with a wide variety of dogs from family pets to working with Wag! I have a 8 month old German Shepard/Lab, Opal, so I am comfortable with puppies and high energy breeds. I also have experience caring for senior animals. I am currently a stay-at-home mom. I am mostly available for weekend care but can do walks & check ins during the week if I bring my youngest with me. I am open to boarding and other care during the weekends. I have a fenced in yard for lots of fetch & play time. We love walks & hiking so lots of opportunities for exercise, fun & bonding with the dogs. I also have experience with crating if that is necessary.
“Trina was our favorite Rover sitter we’ve used to date! We used her to watch our husky with separation anxiety for an evening and we will no doubt we using her again. She had a husky proof fenced in yard and still took her on a nice long walk. We got lots of pictures and updates throughout the night, and Trina was super flexible with our unknown pickup time. Knowing that Trina is a vet tech also adds some peace of mind, should anything go wrong. Izze came home happy and tired and undoubtedly can’t wait until her next visit!”
About: I love dogs and have a fenced in yard for them to play. 🐾 I am knowledgeable about dog behavior and recognize signs of illness or distress. I have experience with potty training, medication administration, and reinforcing basic training commands. I work day shift while my husband, Chad, works evening shift. One of us are home most of the time - there might be a few hours in the afternoon/evening when we both work. We crate our pups when they’re home alone and have a dog camera to monitor them closely. I have a fenced in yard and lots of space inside my home for pups to make themselves comfortable. In my home, dogs are welcome on furniture and will receive lots of pets and playtime. I will maintain a safe, clean, and loving environment for our fur babies.

About: I grew up on a dairy farm, and have been around many different animals over the years. I started out pet sitting for friends of family members, and families in my local community in my spare time. I have also taken care of a few senior pets over the years by making sure they get their right medications and foods throughout my stay. I also help take care of farm animals, outdoor bird feeders, along with indoor and outdoor plant watering and care. I currently have two cats, Scooter and Goose and they are my world. I am currently working about 20-25 hours a week. My current job is very flexible with hours and time that would allow me to stop in a care for your pets. I am available to do a few days, with the possibility of extending that period of time. I would be able to stop in and care for your pets before I head to work for the day (roughly 4 to 8 hours regularly, but can be flexible) and again after I am done with work for the day before engaging in any activities or turning in for the evening. I am open to stopping in daily and caring for you pets in your home as I dont have much space while I am currently living in the city with roommates and multiple pets in our household. If your pet has a favorite park, or yard to play in, I would be happy to engage in their favorite activities hwith them in those places.
About: I've owned a dog and/or a cat since I left college and once had 3 dogs, 3 cats and 2 children under age 6 in the same house! I worked for a pet sitting business in Virginia for two years and love to observe animals and get to know to know them on their terms. Experience matters with pets and I have that, combined with great communication and common sense. I'm the person you want watching your furry friends when you can't be there. I'm also a photography lover and I'm happy to work to get some good shots of your animals while taking care of them. I'm a semi-retired journalist who often works remotely, so I have plenty of time to pet sit. With my kids in college, my nest is empty except for my Pueto Rican chihuahua mix, Nina. We walk two or three times a day when the weather and my schedule permits. I'll care for your pets as if they were mine. I've owned multiple cats and dogs, from 8 pounds up to 90. If you have the patience and experience, almost every animal will give you clues on how they want to be treated.
“Our dog fell in love with Carolyn immediately! She has been a tremendous help to us and is a good communicator. I echo other reviewers: we really appreciate her!”

“Michelle did an amazing job with Daisy. Very timely with communication in the booking process. Very impressed and will be the first place we look when we have walking needs!”

About: Hello! I’m a longtime dog and cat owner with experience caring for animals of all ages, from puppies and kittens to senior pets. I truly love animals and treat every pet like family. I would love the opportunity to meet and care for yours! I am currently staying home to care for my own special needs animals, which gives me a very flexible schedule. I am available most days and times and would love the opportunity to come care for your pets too! While caring for your pets both inside and outside the home, I will always respect your space and belongings while making your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being my top priority.
“Tyler will continue to be my go to dog walker when I need help getting my 2 dogs their daily exercise. My pups are spoiled with daily outings , and dog park trips - we usually average 6-8 miles per day but often hit 10-12 miles once or twice every week…. with Tyler, I have peace of mind and confidence that my dogs will get a walk and the type of exercise they are accustomed to. They always return content , satisfied and most importantly exhausted! Thanks again Tyler!”

“Robert was great to work with. He and Waffle got along really well. Robert took the time to do a meet and greet and visit before the first walk, even on a short notice. Robert has been flexible and accommodating with his schedule to meet our needs. After the walk, he sent us detailed comments and photos of their walk. I plan on continuing to work with him on an ongoing basis. I feel like Waffle is in good hands!”

About: Someone who grew up with at least two rescue dogs in the house at all time, a few cats and horses, I've taken care of animals of all sizes, breeds, personalities, ages, and needs throughout my lifetime. I've even seen kittens born! I raised and loved the one I chose to mine, finally saying goodbye when she reached the ripe age of 21. Whether it is puppies / kittens, mid-life, or elderly I have experienced all the life stages of our fur babies. I've also dealt with the not so fun parts of being a fur baby parent. From cleaning up hairballs or puke because the dog decided to eat grass, cleaning a dog who decided it was a good idea to go for a swim in the pond, or literally breaking up cat fights... I've been there. Because I teach, and right now school is out, I would be home during the majority of the day during the summer for pet sitting. Come the school year, I would be away between school hours. Because right now I'm working part-time I have plenty of extra time to fit walking your fur baby into my schedule! I have a large porch which leads down to a fenced-in yard. My fur baby personally loves sunning himself on the porch or going down to the yard and just exploring. The apartment itself is a renovated music studio so it is wide, spacious, and beautifully designed. Your fur baby would have his own feeding area and you are welcome to bring any toys or other comfort items. I've had to board my cat before so I know how important the small things are.

About: I grew up with Mastiffs, Rottweilers, Labs, Malinois and Cane Corsos. I love small dogs just the same, but giant dogs require a special skill set as they often don’t realize their size and strength. For my day job I run my own private teaching business, where I practice the service and patience that I bring to my pets and pet owners. I make my own schedule as a freelance musician and private teacher so I have lots of flexibility. Generally mornings and mondays and fridays work best. Lots of experience walking, exercising, and feeding large and giant dogs, can crate or kennel if needed. As of right now I don’t do overnights, but might consider offers.

About: I’ve had dogs my whole life! I used to work at a dog day care (small and large breeds). I also volunteered at OTAT in Chicago for a year before recently moving to St Paul. Volunteering for OTAT required extensive training. Looking to add furry friends back into my life 💛 I currently work full-time but remotely and am very flexible. I’m available to drive and provide care in the mornings before the work day begins, during lunch hours, and after 4 pm. I live in an apt building and have plenty of grass surrounding. I’m near a lovely riverwalk which would allow for amazing walks as needed.

About: I asked for a dog for Christmas every single year while I was growing up. My dad had his reasons, so the next best thing was to walk my neighbors Pomeranian (named Snuggles), which I did aaaaalllll the time. In college, I would dog sit for my coach here and there. My brother has a golden retriever that I have spent a lot of time with. And recently, I had my first experience of having my own dog. Technically it was my roommates dog, but I loved her like she was mine. I would take her on walks just because and when my roommate was out of the country for 2 weeks, I was the dog auntie. I'm a middle school math teacher, so I have ALL the availability in the summer. Once the school year rolls around, I'll be available in the evenings and on the weekends. I am more than willing to have your pet in my car if we need to get to walking trails, lakes, and other pet friendly places to walk. About: I have had pets in my life since childhood! I grew up in a busy home full of different animals (dogs, cats, fish, lizards, bunnies, birds, etc.) and have cared for animals of all different ages and abilities. I also have experience volunteering at an animal clinic. I work hybrid so am available every day except tuesday’s and wednesdays during the day. I am available any night overnight and on weekends too. I adjust my care based on the fur babies need. If they are more active, I am able to do walks often, but if they are older, I am happy to lounge around! I am used to working on a feeding schedule so strict feeding/medicine schedules are no concern for me.
About: Animals have always held a special place in my heart, and I have been caring for them since I was a child. Our family had a lot of pets while I was growing up, and we always took in animals that needed help. Including baby squirells, a crow, a turtle that got hit by a car, as well as cats and dogs. This has translated into me being a life long pet owner, and rescuer of animals. I live in an area that has a large feral cat population, and I have taken it upon myself to help alleviate this problem. I have trapped, over 20 feral cats in the past 10 years. Once captured, I get them spayed/neutered, vaccinated, as well as have any of their medical needs taken care of. I keep each cat for at least a month to see if they are adoption eligible, and if they are, I foster them until I find a good home for them. If not, I get their ear clipped, and I release them. Unfortunately, this is costly but Ive been able to "afford" it until this past year when I had some costly vet bills. Including the last cat I rescued (Buddy) who was involved in a fight with another feral cat, got his tail bitten, and it cost me over $3000 to get his tail amputated. It was also a long, and difficult recovery process requiring many hours of care and attention. Luckily Buddy came through and is the sweetest little guy. I found a home for him at a group home, and he is now living his best life. I would like to continue to provide this service but I can not afford too many more instances like buddy, or ill be the homeless one out wandering the streets in need of rescuing. So, I have been contemplating ways in which to earn some extra money to help pay the bills. Once I discovered Rover it became obvious that this is the perfect solution. I can earn money to help pay for my feral cat project, spend even more time with animals, and provide a valuable service where I have a lot of experience. I have experience with cats and dogs of all ages and temperments. I have trained many dogs, including those of family and friends. All money earned from Rover will go directly towards helping animals (mostly cats) who are in need in my community. I currently have 4 cats that I care for on a daily basis. That number can fluctuate because I periodically take in cats that I foster for at least a month. I will care for pets in your home by paying attention to your pet and getting an idea of what it wants and or needs.

About: I am an inclusive, outdoorsy, and compassionate pet and house sitter with almost two decades of experience. I care about your pets and house as if it were my own! I have cared for creatures big and small, and maintain the most similar household routine as possible for your pet. My first job was in a veterinary clinic, so I am comfortable with administering medicines and taking care of animals with special needs. I am a full-time high school counselor. I am proud of my work/life boundaries, so I keep my schedule at school tight. I am out of the house from 7:30-4:30 on the weekdays. With my pet sitting experience, I am used to working in a pet’s routine with my schedule. If you are looking to book me in the summer, however, I have nothing but time! :) I rent, so am unable to board your pets in my home. I have, however, extensive experience staying in the homes of the critters I care for. I am a respectful and tidy guest, and always try to leave the home better than I found it.

“Monika is truly the best at what she does. Our dog Sophie always looks at visits as a vacation when we go on vacation. She just loves the family and the dogs that live there. The backyard that is fenced in is wonderful. This is truly our dog’s home away from home. If I could give higher than 5 stars I would. They are fantastic and I recommend them with the highest possible regard.”

“I will never take my dog anywhere else! I’ve been taking Clutch to Tristan for a few years now. Clutch has anxiety when in new places but Tristan and Bill take such good care of him that he actually gets excited to go and stay with them. I couldn’t ask for a better sitter.”

“Katie walked Marvel several times a day. She was sensitive to the heat and walked him early in the morning. He got lots of attention. She provided him with a huge assortment of toys which he loved. The daily pictures and videos were great!”

“Connie did a fantastic job watching our dog. She is clearly very knowledgeable and experienced dealing with dogs. She sent frequent pictures and communicated constantly during our trip. We came back to a happy, healthy, clean dog, and I don't know what more you could ask for.”

“Amazing pet sitter!! She sends constant updates, pictures and videos! I can tell she makes an effort to accommodate her schedule to your pet's needs! I love that she only takes one pet at a time that way she focuses on one-to-one attention! Her children are the sweetest too! They adopted my retriever as part of their family immediately! Completely recommended! Will book again in a heartbeat!”
