Since Turkey is a hairless cat, Izzy had to put on and take off her sweatshirts daily and carefully determine whether the weather was appropriate for walks and outdoor time — which can be tricky given Turkey’s lack of fur and grumpiness! Turkey’s ears also require regular cleaning because they collect wax easily, and Izzy helped us tremendously with that as well. Throughout our trip, we received photos and updates from Izzy, which gave us so much peace of mind. We would recommend Izzy to any family looking for someone who will give special attention, care, and love to their beloved family member. We were away for 9 days, which was the longest we have ever been apart from Turkey. When we returned home, we were amazed by how happy and comfortable Turkey was, and by how consistently Izzy maintained Turkey’s feeding schedule. Most importantly, Izzy is truly a gem of a person. Her calm, easygoing, yet detail-oriented character made our time away completely worthwhile. We will absolutely continue requesting Izzy’s care moving forward!”

About: I grew up with dogs, and miss them dearly in my life! Friends, neighbors and family have relied on me for years to take care of their pets: while away traveling, or in hardships. From closely monitoring my friend's cat after surgery when she couldn't call off work, to weeklong stays in family homes with rambunctious puppies, I've done it all. I've always had a passion for animals, including exotic pet care! I have personally kept a freshwater aquarium and understand that fish and reptile care is much more detailed and intensive than many may first assume. You can rest easy knowing your pets will be in good hands, and will be given the detailed care and attention they deserve. I'm currently in recovery from a chronic pain condition. This gives me incredible flexibility to take on care at any time, and give your pets the attention they deserve! Depending on my health, my availabily may fluctuate, but now that I'm finally on the upswing I'm ready to be active and my abilites will only increase in the coming months! About: Hi! I really love being around dogs as I have grown up with four dogs since I was a kid! They have been my best friends my entire life and I wouldn't have traded away a single moment with them. I am experienced in taking care of dogs and love to be around them and play! About: I have had dogs in my life since I was born. I'm very comfortable and confident in giving them love and care! I've helped dog sit for my parents, friends & neighbors. Working from home in a dog-friendly condo in Columbia Heights, I’m available all day for frequent potty breaks, companionship, and checkins. There’s no private yard, but there’s a nice shared yard with plenty of green just downstairs for some outdoor time, and we can easily do neighborhood walks. As a former puggle owner, I took care of my little Snuggles all the way through her senior years until she was 13+, so I have experience and can care for dogs at every life stage, including daily care and routine, bathing, training, administering medicine when needed, and handling their specific needs as they get older. I recently had to put my own puggle down, and while I still miss her, I have been enjoying puppy kisses from the dogs I watch, and I love sharing that same attentive care with other pups who need a cozy and reliable place to stay. My setup includes comfortable dog beds, a kennel for secure rest if needed, doggy bowls for fresh water and meals, and soft blankets for cozy napping. If your dog needs someone who’s home constantly and would do walks on a nice day, let’s do a meet & greet! I work from home most days, so I’m available all day for the pups, extra potty breaks, daytime and evening walks, play, and companionship. Once every two weeks, I may be out for a few hours at the office. I’ll coordinate ahead of time, give updates, and make sure your dog is settled. On Saturdays, I’m less flexible for check-in and check-out due to volunteer work (away for half the day). I usually let dogs roam free in the condo. They can follow me everywhere if they want, which most enjoy for that constant company. I can crate your dog if needed (for naps, meals, or if they’re more comfortable that way).

About: I have had dogs since my childhood and have helped train multiple dogs. I love all dogs and I would enjoy spending time with dogs again since I currently don’t have one. I spend a lot of time with my mom’s dog and frequently care for him when she is out of town. I get out of work by 2:55 everyday except Wednesdays and the last Thursday of each month. On those days I am done with work at 3:20. I am a teacher so I have winter break and spring break off as well. I have a small condo that I own that allows small dogs. I don’t have any pets. To me having 5 dogs is no different than having 1, as long as you have enough love to go around. All they want to do is love you and make you happy, so how can you not love them in return. I have 3 dogs of my own right now and enjoy spending time with them. I probably spoil them as they know when I come home with bags that there is more than likely a treat or toy for them. I am available any day and time and have a fenced yard. I am reliable and trustworthy and would treat your dog with care, respect and love.
About: Have taken care of family dogs off all breeds and sizes. Have been trusted to overnight sit and bathe dogs along with walks! Love to be around all dogs and show them the best love! I am an athletic trainer who is off in the mornings and summer. Have several available days and times that would work for dog walking! I do not have a schedule in the summer so I am available at all times. It is important to me that all pets feel loved and get the exercise that they deserve. All pets will be given treats (within moderation and if allowed) and as much pets as they want! Walks will be focused on the dog, their comfortability, and getting to smell the fresh air!!

About: I’ve been living with and taking care of dogs for 23 years now. I grew up in a family of dog lovers where we shower our dogs with love and affection. As a life-long dog owner, I know how much your fur friend means to you and I promise to give them all the love and pets. I’ve taken care of a variety of dogs of different sizes and ages. I have experience with walking, playing, and bathing/grooming (even with curly dogs)! I am currently on summer break. I will be working summer school for the month of July and I will be unavailable in the mornings, but free after lunch. I also work another job on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings from 6-8 and on Sundays from 12-3. While at your home, I will be sure to keep an eye on your pet. I am great with communication and you can expect to get regular updates and pictures from me. I am not afraid to ask questions when I am unsure about something.
