About: I grew up with dogs, and miss them dearly in my life! Friends, neighbors and family have relied on me for years to take care of their pets: while away traveling, or in hardships. From closely monitoring my friend's cat after surgery when she couldn't call off work, to weeklong stays in family homes with rambunctious puppies, I've done it all. I've always had a passion for animals, including exotic pet care! I have personally kept a freshwater aquarium and understand that fish and reptile care is much more detailed and intensive than many may first assume. About: For as long as I can remember I have always had pets in my family and I know they are valuable family members, that's why I believe they always deserve love and care. I currently work full-time, Monday through Friday, so we can welcome you before 7:00 AM or after 5:30 PM; on weekends, we are available all day. If we discuss it in advance, we can make it work. I am flexible with my schedule—let's talk. I have a fenced-in backyard with plenty of space to play and spend time outdoors. “Words cannot describe how thankful we are for Izzy. We were able to truly enjoy our vacation knowing that Turkey was being so well cared for. We could fully relax knowing that Turkey was happy and enjoying herself while we were away. Izzy went far beyond any expectations we could have had. Since Turkey is a hairless cat, Izzy had to put on and take off her sweatshirts daily and carefully determine whether the weather was appropriate for walks and outdoor time — which can be tricky given Turkey’s lack of fur and grumpiness! Turkey’s ears also require regular cleaning because they collect wax easily, and Izzy helped us tremendously with that as well. Throughout our trip, we received photos and updates from Izzy, which gave us so much peace of mind. We would recommend Izzy to any family looking for someone who will give special attention, care, and love to their beloved family member. We were away for 9 days, which was the longest we have ever been apart from Turkey. When we returned home, we were amazed by how happy and comfortable Turkey was, and by how consistently Izzy maintained Turkey’s feeding schedule. Most importantly, Izzy is truly a gem of a person. Her calm, easygoing, yet detail-oriented character made our time away completely worthwhile. We will absolutely continue requesting Izzy’s care moving forward!”

About: I keep my home boarding low-key and personalized by welcoming only one dog, or two from the same family, at a time. So your pup will enjoy plenty of one-on-one love, play, and attention in a calm, peaceful environment where they can truly relax and feel at home. Working from home in a dog-friendly condo in Columbia Heights, I’m available all day for frequent potty breaks, companionship, and checkins. There’s no private yard, but there’s a nice shared yard with plenty of green just downstairs for some outdoor time, and we can easily do neighborhood walks. As a former puggle owner, I took care of my little Snuggles all the way through her senior years until she was 13+, so I have experience and can care for dogs at every life stage, including daily care and routine, bathing, training, administering medicine when needed, and handling their specific needs as they get older. I recently had to put my own puggle down, and while I still miss her, I have been enjoying puppy kisses from the dogs I watch, and I love sharing that same attentive care with other pups who need a cozy and reliable place to stay. My setup includes comfortable dog beds, a kennel for secure rest if needed, doggy bowls for fresh water and meals, and soft blankets for cozy napping. If your dog needs someone who’s home constantly and would do walks on a nice day, let’s do a meet & greet! I work from home most days, so I’m available all day for the pups, extra potty breaks, daytime and evening walks, play, and companionship. Once every two weeks, I may be out for a few hours at the office. I’ll coordinate ahead of time, give updates, and make sure your dog is settled. On Saturdays, I’m less flexible for check-in and check-out due to volunteer work (away for half the day). I usually let dogs roam free in the condo. They can follow me everywhere if they want, which most enjoy for that constant company. I can crate your dog if needed (for naps, meals, or if they’re more comfortable that way).

For clients home I provide consistent, attentive pet sitting by following their normal routine as closely as possible. This includes feeding on schedule, daily walks or litter box cleaning, playtime, and companionship to keep pets calm and comfortable in their own environment. I also administer medication if needed, monitor behavior for any changes, and ensure water bowls are always fresh and full. I keep the home tidy by cleaning up after pets and respecting your space. Regular updates with photos and messages help keep owners reassured while they’re away.
About: I love dogs, no matter the size, age, or breed, I am determined to be your dogs new best friend! I've been dog sitting for a few years now, originally just within my neighborhood, I started Rover as a summer job last year, but I fell in love with it and decided to continue. I've always loved animals, so getting to spend time with your beloved pets is such a privilege! I am currently a college student, but I do online classes so the majority of my time is devoted to dogs. I am committed to providing personalized, and loving care around the clock. While your pets are here, I try to maintain their home schedules as much as possible, for example, if they eat at a certain time At home, that's the time they'll eat here. I've noticed that it helps ease the transition between my home and yours. To them, my home is just an extension of their home. I also have experience with senior dogs, puppies, and dogs who may be recovering from illnesses or surgeries. I can administer oral or topical medications and provide cpr if it were ever necessary. If your dog has specific or specialized needs, please let me know and I will ensure I work with you and them to provide the best care possible. My schedule completely revolves around the dogs. I am a college student, so occasionally school endeavors can interfere with pick-up or drop-off times, but for the most part, I can fully adjust my schedule to the needs of you and your dog. You are always free to adjust pick-up and drop-off times with no extra charge, just send me a message and we'll work out the best time for you. I do not charge in situations such as a missed flight, illness, or other unforseen circumstances that may require your dog to be in my care for a little longer. My main goal is to always treat your dogs like my own! Everyday I ensure your dogs are loved, and I try to spend as much time with them as possible. I have a large fenced in yard where your dog can run and play, I try to spend as much time outside as possible. If your dog is social, my dogs love to play and socialize with yours. I have a Golden Retriever and a Havapoo, they're both neutered and very friendly. Rex my golden is very gentle and plays well with smaller dogs. If your dogs prefer to be on their own, I can do staggered outside time and keep them completely separate, no problem! Feedings always take place in kennels or separate rooms, so dogs are always separated for that.
