“Just fabulous. On our meet and greet, Barts (my cat) took to Maggie immediately. During her check-ins, I got timely updates and plenty of photos - playtime, open window time, snacks and cuddles. Excellent communication at all times. Maggie even helped me out by watering some plants, and took the initiative to take my trash can out to the curb for pickup even though I hadn’t mentioned it. About: Growing up my family always owned one or two golden retrievers at a time and instantly fell in love with the breed. I worked at a dog boarding/day care facility for about 3 years. I’ve worked with many different types of breeds along with all sorts of temperaments. With that came taking care of dogs of ALL ages. I’ve handled up to 15 large dogs at a time, also handling cats. Absolutely loved my job and hope to continue working with animals:) I work at a School in Grand Haven, Monday-Friday till around 4p.m. (Sometimes later) So, my evenings are open to walks & drop-ins. My weekends are still available for house sitting, drop-ins, and walks! In the summer there is lots more availability! I was lucky enough to grow up with a mom that did full time pet sitting at one point and got to tag along on all her trips. I also pet sit for family and friends. “I came to Grand Rapids on a last-minute work thing and didn’t want to leave Roxy in the hotel alone for 4 to 6 hours in the evening. I reached out to a couple of folks on rover and Miranda was one of the first ones that replied and was able to take Roxy. This was my first time as a doggy dad leaving Rox with with somebody I didn’t know. We met Miranda at her house and after meeting her found that she is truly a really nice person that truly loves animals and made it easy for me to leave her there. About: I've been pet sitting for a few years now! I grew up with dogs, cats, fish, and hamsters, and they were integral members of our family. I absolutely love meeting and taking care of new pets, and I've gotten pretty good at it over time. I'll take dogs on walks, or to the dog park, dog beach, and give them baths if needed. I work monday-friday 9-2 so as long as your dog is good on their own for 5-6 hours, it will work out! Otherwise won't leave them alone for more than 6 hours. Not able to have the dogs at our house, but I'll gladly care for your pets at your home in whatever fashion works best for you!

About: My first job at 12 was dog walking/sitting but I have been a lifelong animal lover! I grew up with dogs and adopted my cat about 8 years ago. I have cared for both young and elderly dogs/cats as well as those with special needs and medical conditions. I am currently a stay at home mom with my five year old son. My availability is very open especially going into the summer months. Although I may not be able to do overnight stays at this time, I can do later evenings and earlier mornings. About: I’ve had pets in my house for a majority of my life and have spent that time helping to care for them. I have also been watching others pets for about three years now, including both cats and dogs. Tasks included feeding on a schedule, taking for walks / outside to go potty, cleaning/scooping the litter box, and of course making sure they’re safe and not getting into any trouble while you’re gone. I have hands on experience in watching after and caring for a terminally ill dog for about six months. Those tasks included changing his dressing (he had an open wound that refused to heal), giving medications on a schedule, and giving enrichment that he could enjoy with limited energy. I also have hands on experience with reactive dogs, so please know that I will love your reactive pup just as much. I can do basic training, but my favorite part of the job is showering the animals with love and attention. This is my full time job! I have a few side gigs that I work on remotely and can do from just about anywhere so long as I have WiFi access to communicate with my colleagues! I’m used to many kinds of temperaments, from “you stay in your corner and I’ll stay in mine” to “I need to be as close to you as possible at all times” and will respect your dogs needs. I prefer setting up a time before the sitting starts where I can just get to know the pet(s) and get an idea of their normal schedule. This way they can meet me while everyone is home so they feel most comfortable, and I’m not a complete stranger once I begin sitting or come over to let them out for a potty break.

My schedule does tend to shift around, but on days I do work, I am flexible with when I can watch your loved one and am willing to visit as much as possible before and after work. However, when I'm not working, I am more than happy to spend as much time with your pet as possible/wanted. While in your home, I will be around your pet 24/7, making sure they are safe and comfortable. I love playing with pets but can also enforce rules and regulations set up for your pet with ease. I can handle crating, leashing, feeding, picking up messes, and more. If housesitting, I am happy to assist in pickup and general house upkeep, including trash night, collecting mail, dusting, etc.
