About: I’ve helped taken care of cats ever for a while now. When someone needs a cat sitter for vacation or any reason, I’m always happy to help. About: I have taken care of pets since I was 5! I have a husky back at home with my parents and I used to have a toy poodle. In addition, I have two horses who are my babies! I was raised and taught on how to take care of animals and I absolutely love any type of pet. A couple years back, my husky gave birth of 6 healthy husky puppies and I was there to help take of care of them with her and to help them grow up. I helped potty train each of them and I would take all the dogs on walks. Since I grew up and raised a big dog, I know how to take care of them and I am comfortable doing so. I can also take care of small and medium dogs as I also some of those size in my youth. Back at home, I often house sit and take car of pets of other family members if they are to go on vacation so I am reliable in that sense as well. I currently work 7am-4pm on the week days but have evenings and weekends completely available! If you go on a weekend trip and need someone to take care of your pet, I am more than welcome to take care of them. If you need someone to walk the dog or to take care of them in the evening so you can go out and relax, I can also do that! I want to ensure that I provide a safe space with each pet I take care of. About: What sets me apart is that I have real hands-on experience with animals of all sizes, ages, and personalities. I’ve owned both big and small dog breeds, cared for puppies, and also have experience with senior dogs. I care for pets by making sure they feel safe, comfortable, and well cared for whether they are in my home or in a client’s home. In my home, pets have space to play and get exercise since we have a fenced yard, and there is also a football field right in front of us where they can play too. We also take our dogs on walks often, so pets staying with me would get attention, activity, and lots of care. In a client’s home, I focus on keeping pets comfortable by following their normal routine as closely as possible. That includes feeding them on time, giving them fresh water, taking them on walks, playing with them, and making sure they get plenty of attention and affection. About: My experience and background with animals spans over the course 20 years. I've worked as a veterinary technician, fostered nearly 2 dozen puppies for rescue programs, and founded my own successful non-profit rescue & conservation program dedicated to primitive canids. I'm thoroughly experienced in caring for senior dogs & cats, administering medications, first aid, & wound care. I've fed numerous specialized diets, including fully raw. I adore the puppy stage- including crate training, potty training, & socialization. I'm a strong advocate for socialization that bolsters confident neutrality. A puppy's endless curiosity is so fun to harness! I enjoy giving dogs a balance of outdoor exercise like hiking, as well as indoor mental enrichment like games and puzzles. A tired dog is a happy dog! I train dogs part time & homeschool my daughter- which lends me a great deal of flexibility in my schedule. I can often accommodate short notice requests. Your beloved pet's safety is critical to me. I'm extremely cautious with opening & closing doors so no animals can slip through a door, check the fit of a dog's collar to prevent potential backing out, & ensure there's nothing a pup or kitty could get into thats potentially dangerous. I have a very strong preference for using martingale collars on dogs for walks to mitigate that risk. I've personally endured the tragedy of my young dog slipping the door and being hit by a car while a sitter was taking care of him- so I assure you I take this very seriously. Building trust with both owners and their pets is pivotal! I'm committed to open communication and honesty. I allow pets to greet me on their terms and understand some animals need a more patient, gentle approach than others. I helped manage the health needs of both my senior dog and cat when they got older. Friends, family, and neighbors trust me to care for their furry friends! I recently moved back to Michigan, and I’m taking some time off from my typical job as a social worker. During this time, I am at home full-time and available during the weekdays and on weekends to help care for your pets. I will be sure to keep them safe and to follow the owner’s instructions as carefully as possible. I will be attentive to the pet’s needs and will be sure to leave the space clean. I am also not afraid to ask for help, so I will reach out to the owner if I’m unsure of anything!
About: • Wonderful alternative to kennel boarding! We are an energetic family who loves animals & are excited to provide care for your pet while you are away. Courtney is a home-care nurse, animal lover, & holds years of experience providing in-home care to both people & pets. She is experienced with medication administration, for animals who require it. We do request that pets be comfortable around children, as our homeschooled son is an active participant most days! • In addition to dog & cat care, we are experienced in raising chickens & available to provide drop-in care for your feathered friends. A portion of all revenue will be donated to the Humane Society of Huron Valley, to assist community animals in need. We are fortunate to have a very flexible schedule that allows us to provide care when you need it. While we certainly understand plans change, we do kindly request that any changes or cancellations be communicated promptly. Your home will be respected & should be the last of your concerns while you are away. We the same care & concern will be given to your home as to your pets. We are happy to provide additional services, such as taking in mail, tending to trash service, etc…just ask!
