“Amanda was amazing. This was my first Rover experience and the first time being away from my puppy for more than 15 minutes (vet appointments). She totally put my mind at ease with her love of animals and the multiple pictures and a video. Oakley had a great time playing with Amanda’s daughter and two dogs. She came home happy and tired from all her activity- which was appreciated, because Oakley is a high energy puppy. Amanda was also really understanding when Oakley had an accident (still a puppy) and it helped a great deal that Amanda’s dogs also use the potty bells (something Oakley uses at home to let me know when it’s tile to go out). With Amanda’s help Oakley started using the potty bells there too (and knowing Oakley’s love of the outside and how much she loved the fenced in yard...she probably ran poor Amanda ragged ringing the bells! ?) I would definitely recommend Amanda and hope to have the opportunity to book her again!”

About: I’ve had at least one pet cat for as long as I can remember and I truly think cats are the best. I currently live and travel with my senior rescue cat and bff, Ducky. Ducky has FIV and has required a lot of care over the years, and I’ve been happy to do it. I respect the unique personalities and boundaries of all cats and love meeting new kitties. Oh, and I’m more than used to the occasional slappiness of any feline friend lol!

I am free most weekends and my significant other is also home to help out with high energy pups. :) I have walking trails around my apartment and wooded areas out back. My partner and I love to go on walks when weather permitting and would love to take your furry friend with us.

About: I’ve been helping my parents raise dogs since I was around 10 years old, our first dog being a collie we rescued as she wasn’t being treated well with her initial owners. We took her in and got her cleaned up, took care of the fleas she had, found her a good diet, and gave her lots of love and attention through it all. We took her on camping trips, out on the water to go fishing, out on walks and to get pup cups at the ice cream shop, her favorite place being my granny’s house. Alongside her, we raised three more dogs when they were puppies, each one two years apart. 2 of them are Australian shepherds, and one is a husky, all girls and grew to form their own little pack, respecting each other’s place and playing happily in a big fenced in back yard. We supported our collie till her last breath as she was elderly, and even as she was so old, she always had her usual, laid back and quirky personality. Even now, I continue to help my parents take care of our dogs, as they’re not just pets, they’re our family, our fur babies, even in they’re old stages of life, they’ll always be our little babies in our hearts. So rest assured, your fur baby will be 110% safe and cared for with me, maybe even a bit spoiled! I’m currently looking into part time or less demanding full time jobs, and I’ll be actively looking until I land one, until then, I should be mostly free, and I’ll definitely keep my schedule updated as life moves forward and changes. As of now, I have appointments on Wednesday, I try to keep them consistent each week, but they’re subject to change due to scheduling. With specific instructions written on paper, I have no issues accommodating to your pet’s needs in your home! I’m respectful during visits in others homes, treating them as my own and keeping spaces clean and tidy. With proper cleaning tools, I can clean up accidents on hard surfaces or rugs, I may need a demonstration on how to use a specific cleaning machine or vacuum depending on how complicated it is. I’m not allergic to any animal, or any breed, so pet hair doesn’t bother me! If need be, I am able to administer oral medications with proper instruction and demonstration. On walks I make sure to keep dogs close to me and away from the road, I carry doggy bags, and on hot days, I’ll carry a little folded up bowl that I can poor water in, so your baby stays hydrated!

About: Hello my name is Justin L, I am 39 years, single, no kids and work full time. I lost my dog about 5 years ago and it was very hard to deal with. I am not ready to commit to another one yet, so I figured I might as well get my dog fix by helping others out on their vacation or their busy schedules. I always grew up with dogs and have had them all from small to large. Dogs are a mans best friend is the most true statement and I will always provide the best care for those dogs. Animals have captured my heart for years, and this is something that will not change now or in the future. I am someone who pays attention to details and always has animal welfare at the forefront of my mind. I do not doubt that I am someone to be trusted with your animals. I look forward to potentially working with you! I am fortunate in that I have a fairly flexible routine currently. This allows for pet care jobs and responsibilities to be easier to take on. I am happy to watch your animals in your home if all checks out. What might it look like? I could stop by once or twice a day (‘depending) to make sure your pet(s) are well and everything is running smoothly. For example, I just wrapped up pet sitting for someone I know in the area & she gave me a spare key for her place. This is just what made sense & what she was comfortable with at the time. She left some realistic instructions for me & all went well. It was a win-win situation. You just need help with dog walking? I am happy to consider that as well!
About: I am a vet assistant for a mobile vaccine company and just enjoy aniamls and just can't get enough of them. I want to let you have me time and know your babies are in good hands. I work weekends mostly so I am free during the week alot and can even to weird 3rd shift hours if needed. Very flexible when I can be. I like to try and meet up before the sitting so I can know how your pet is taken care of so I can keep them in the same routine even when your gone.

“Amanda was amazing. This was my first Rover experience and the first time being away from my puppy for more than 15 minutes (vet appointments). She totally put my mind at ease with her love of animals and the multiple pictures and a video. Oakley had a great time playing with Amanda’s daughter and two dogs. She came home happy and tired from all her activity- which was appreciated, because Oakley is a high energy puppy. Amanda was also really understanding when Oakley had an accident (still a puppy) and it helped a great deal that Amanda’s dogs also use the potty bells (something Oakley uses at home to let me know when it’s tile to go out). With Amanda’s help Oakley started using the potty bells there too (and knowing Oakley’s love of the outside and how much she loved the fenced in yard...she probably ran poor Amanda ragged ringing the bells! ?) I would definitely recommend Amanda and hope to have the opportunity to book her again!”

About: Hi there! We're Sandy & Brad (& 16yo daughter, Clara) from Snowy River Farm in Freeport, MI. Our family has provided trusted pet & farm sitting service in the Kent, Barry & Ionia County areas for 6+ years. We've always had animals around whether it be dogs, cats, chickens, or sheep! We are a homeschooling family and we also work from home. Someone is almost always here! We're available to board dogs anytime we're not on vacation ourselves! We promise to treat your pet like family here at Snowy River Farm! Your pet will have the lower walkout level of the home to themselves. Brad works from home on that same level and we are all around very often. Our own small dogs will stay on a separate floor and not co-mingle your pet (unless specifically agreed by both parties). We can crate your dog(s) if that's your preference. Otherwise, a comfy chair with a blankie is just fine! ;-) *We prefer to do meet & greets first for everyone's benefit. Each dog we care for gets patient, loving, one-on-one attention tailored just for them. We’ll keep you connected with daily photo updates and little stories from their stay. About: I have been a dog owner since I was a little girl with two little miniature poodles. Have had a love for animals and caring for them ever since. I have always wanted to work with animals but have not had the money for schooling. Attended a Vet Tech. class at the Allegan Tech. center for 2 years and absolutely enjoyed every minute of working with all types of animals including helping with doggie daycare, walking, bathing, and just plain having fun with them. I love to help out family and friends in caring for their loved animals while they are away. :) We have a house with a fenced in yard for room to safely run around. Our little dog named Rupert is older but just minds his own business lol. We recently have lost a German short haired pointer named Arthur at a young age of 5. We are still heart broken. While waiting to find another new dog to love as our own we would be happy to love and care for your dog!
