Personalized care for your dog or cat - Harper Woods

Highly-rated overnight sitters - Harper Woods

“Thank you Angela! She took wonderful care of our dog, Budd. Helped manage his anxiety during thunderstorms, kept us up to date on how he was adjusting, and send sweet photos!”

“Our older dog loves staying with Evelyn! She makes sure he is comfortable and spoiled while he is with her. She always sends pictures and videos so we know he happy while we are away. Highly Recommend!”

“Nia was a new Rover sitter for Cesar, and she made him like he was at home. She was very professional. Always responded to all of my communications quickly. I would definitely use her as one of my go to Rover sitters in the future. Thank you for taking such good care of my Cesar!”

“I’m truly grateful to Mou and Yanling’s family for taking such good care of Max while I was away for two weeks. They were so patient and understanding with him. It’s always been hard for me to find someone reliable to look after Max — he’s still playful, a little stubborn, and can get anxious at times — but they handled him with so much care and kindness. Highly recommended, and I’m so thankful for them! 💛🐶”

“Our dog is extremely shy and fearful of nearly everything and every one. So were were nervous about taking him to a dog sitter after years of him being watched regularly by a friend. We should not have been nervous. Breanna took wonderful care of our dog, and he came home happy and healthy — and healthy is a big deal because new situations sometimes make him so nervous that his digestive system gets disrupted upon coming home. That did not happen. Breanna sent us regular updates and pictures of our boy, and was extremely flexible with a couple small changes to our plan. I highly recommend her, and would definitely book with her again.”

“I was nervous because this was the first time I'd left Picasso with someone he didn't know. Ekow was extremely kind and sent updates of a happy dog daily, which made me feel much better. We've found a new sitter and I will definitely be reaching out anytime we need a sitter. Five stars!!”

“Of I could give Steven 100 stars I would. He did a fantastic job with my dog. I asked him could we meet before he watched her and he was now than willing. I asked because my dog doesn't care for men nor does she like other pets. When I introduced them she was snappy at first but warmed up to Steven. But Steven brought his dog out and I could not control her. She went right into attack mode and all I could think is, this is not going to work. Well me and Steven had a conversation on several ways to handle this. And ended up not utilizing any we talked about. He had her social with other dogs by the end of the day and they played together and say together. He sent me pictures and videos of the interactions and made me feel comfortable. When I picked her up he had everything ready for her to leave with and she was a happy dog. From this interaction I'm going to use Steven every time I need a sitter. I'm sticking with what worked and this worked for me. Thank you Steven you did a great job.”

“Queeny provided a safe and welcoming home away from home for our two dogs. She sent us photos or videos every day to show that the dogs were healthy and happy, and we could tell that the dogs were stress-free when we came to collect them. We like the fact that there was an enclosed yard for them to run in, and that they were the only dogs in the home. We will definitely use Queeny again!”

“Tracey was so great, our Raymond was so happy with her for the weekend. She fit us in VERY last minute, and treated him as her own. She kept me posted about how he was doing every morning and evening with photos and videos, 100% recommend her and will be sending Raymond to her in the future!!”

“Samantha & Zach are amazing. They’re are amazing with their communication about your furry friend. My dog Titus always gets excited going there would definitely recommend their services.”

About: I will care and love your fur baby likes its mine. I recently lost my little guy. Lost of love and attention to give your's. I'm retired and live alone and recently lost my little dog. I've decided to give my love to other dogs instead of getting another one. I have a fenced in yard and ranch style home so no stairs. No pets of my own so all my attention will go to yours.
“Kyra is incredibly sweet and professional, with a genuine love for dogs that shines through. Her fenced backyard is perfect for playtime, providing a safe and adventurous environment. She also offers a cozy bedroom just for pups, but if they ever feel unsettled, Kyra keeps them in bed with her for extra comfort. She was perfect at keeping me updated with photos, so I always knew how my dog children were doing while in her care. I'll absolutely call on her when I spend weekends in Detroit.”

“Dawn has been our go-to dogsitter for a couple years now and she is so great! I love that Rose has a familiar place to stay when we are out of town and she always comes back happy.”
“So happy I booked with Kayla to sit my pup while I was on vacation. She kept my mind at ease with all the pictures and the updates. I felt confident she would treat my dog right. I definitely plan on booking with her again in the near future.”

“Jess took great care of my boy, Drake. I really appreciated her kindness, care and flexibility w/ taking Drake last minute. Whenever I’m in Detroit, I will definitely be utilizing her services again. Highly recommend!!!!”

“Oliver had an amazing time with Whitley and her pup Ollie! They were so cute together, playing and having fun. I was nervous as this was the first time Oliver stayed with someone he didn’t know and Whitley made him feel comfortable and happy. Thank you!”

Cat caregivers near you - Harper Woods

“I'm so happy to have had Evelyn take care of my older diabetic cat while we were out of town for five days. My cat has to have insulin shots 2x per day and needs to eat with his shots but he can be a picky food snob so I have to leave all different weird options to attempt to feed him when visiting. Evelyn totally understood the task and was great reporting back what his likes and dislikes were for each visit. I know my fur boy was happy and healthy in her care. I loved all her updates and cute photos!!”

“My kitties appreciate Chetoya’s visits. They’re super shy but will come peek out and eat when they see her❤️❤️ She is responsible and always responds quickly. Thank you!”

“Amber does a great job checking in on and caring for our two kitties when we are away. She always shares the best pics and a lot of detail about the kitties and updates on their food, water and litter status. She has helped us out in the past and I am always happy to rebook when she has availability when we need!”

“Mary was wonderful! She sent me regular updates while I was away for two weeks and coordinated with my sister when my sister needed access to my house. I recommend Mary 100%.”

“We are grateful to have a sitter to rely on for our pets when out of town. Our plans kept changing around due to illness and Cheryl was very adaptable. Thank you for your care, Cheryl!”

“Joshua was fantastic! He was easy to communicate with, was responsible, and very kind to my cats. His pictures and updates were great. I would highly recommend Joshua - he’s a solid guy and did a wonderful job!”

“Hannah took great care of our kitties and bearded dragon! She was on time, and made sure she laid eyes on everyone. She sent pics and was very good at communicating with me from first contact. Highly recommend and will certainly re-book. Thanks for the peace of mind while we were gone, Hannah!”

About: I am a dog lover who currently owns 3 dogs, a terrier mix, a standard poodle, and a Doberman. My husband and I love animals and have grown up around different types of pets, which is why dog sitting is a perfect fit for me. Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover my entire life. I acquired my love for animals from my father. Since before I was born, he has always owned a dog. The first dog I remember having was a Husky named Brandon. We named him Brandon because of the dog on "Punky Brewster" and I must have been only around 4 years old! My experience administering medication I have experience administering medication to my own pets and others pets as well. I’m a stay at home mom, which means I’ll have plenty of time to spend with your pup(s). We love playing outdoors and our dogs are like family to us! I have a dog run (working on fencing our large yard) and three dogs of my own. We have room to crate train if needed, and keep kids and dogs separate should your pup not be kid friendly.
“Danielle is amazing. She takes such great care of our dogs. She spends individual time with them. It makes us feel better while we are at work to have the dogs in her care.”

About: I've enjoyed taking care of and keeping pets for as long as I can remember. I have had good experience in talking care of and walking all kinds of dogs and cats for neighbors, friends, and family. In the past, my family had bred Golden Doodles, and I've been able to help with taking care of the puppies, training them, and keeping up with our 4 year old and 1 year old Doodles. I'm currently working as a Elementary/High School music teacher, however I am flexible after school ends most days, so I would be able to work around taking your pets on walks, taking them out for bathroom breaks, and/or having play time with them during the afternoon or evening. I am available from 4-10 on weekdays and will work weekends if needed. I cater to the needs of you and your pet in any way possible! I cannot offer my home for pet sitting as I live in an apartment that does not allow pets, however I am completely willing to take care of your pet at your own home while entirely respecting you, your privacy, your pet, and your home. “Jessica is absolutely amazing! We have used her several times and she is always a delight. She goes above and beyond for our pet and always know that when she is dropping in our pets that they are taken care of!”

About: Hi, I’m Megan — a lifelong animal lover and dedicated pet care provider based in beautiful East English Village. I live with my two friendly, well-socialized dogs who enjoy the company of other calm, respectful pups. I provide a personalized, low-volume boarding experience from my home, where your dog becomes part of our little pack. My services are designed with your pet’s comfort and safety in mind. I only board one guest dog at a time, ensuring constant supervision, individual attention, and a peaceful, low-stress environment. Whether you’re looking for drop-in visits, a walk while you’re at work, or overnight care, I treat every animal like one of my own — with affection, patience, and professional care. I provide updates with every visit, and I’m happy to accommodate custom routines, feeding schedules, and medication administration when needed. Let’s schedule a free meet-and-greet to make sure it’s a great match! Caring for animals is a natural part of my daily life — I structure my routine around it. With two dogs of my own, I’m already up early for walks, feeding, and snuggles. I work from home, which allows me the flexibility to provide frequent potty breaks, plenty of supervision, and lots of one-on-one attention throughout the day. Because I intentionally limit my boarding and walking services to just a few clients at a time, I’m able to give each pet my full focus without being overbooked or rushed. Whether I’m doing a drop-in visit, hosting a pup overnight, or stopping by for a midday walk, I plan my calendar so your pet gets reliable, unrushed, high-quality care. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities — whether they’re staying in my home or I’m visiting them in yours. BOARDING AT MY HOME: When boarding in my home, I provide a calm, structured, and low-stress environment by only accepting one guest dog at a time. This allows me to give each pet plenty of individual attention and supervision throughout the day. I have two friendly, well-socialized resident dogs who are used to having guests and do best with other well-mannered pups. I take time to carefully introduce everyone, and I require a meet-and-greet prior to first-time bookings to ensure everyone is a good fit. My home is pet-safe, clean, and set up with cozy resting areas, a large and securely fenced outdoor space, and plenty of enrichment opportunities like walks, playtime, and snuggles. I also follow the pet’s routine as closely as possible to make their stay feel familiar and reassuring. FOR DROP INS I aim to maintain your pet’s routine in their own environment, minimizing disruption and providing consistent care. I refresh water, follow feeding and medication instructions closely, and always leave your home secure and tidy. I also provide visit updates with photos so you can feel connected and at ease while you’re away. Building trust through consistent, compassionate care is what I do best. Whether your pet is staying with me or I’m visiting them, they’ll be treated like family.

About: What sets me apart from other sitters is the level of care and attention I give to both pets and their routines. I don’t just watch your animals—I learn their habits, personalities, and preferences to make sure they feel safe and comfortable while you’re away. I have experience administering oral and topical medications, working with senior pets, and I’m especially thorough when it comes to cleanliness (yes, I genuinely don’t mind deep-cleaning litter boxes!). My goal is to give you complete peace of mind knowing your pets are not just looked after, but genuinely cared for like family.
About: I love animals and have been around them my whole life. I grew up with a dog and cat and have been taking care of my own cat for the past 11 years. I used to work as a veterinary receptionist; a job I pursued because I love being around animals and helping people as well! I have experience walking dogs and caring for both dogs and cats. My cat is a senior cat who takes medication and insulin which I administer. I would be happy to walk dogs and/or help take care of your dog or cat by feeding and checking on them during drop in visits during the daytime! I am currently a stay at home mom with two kids in elementary school. I drop off and pick up my kids from school but I am available between those times during the week. I am available between 10:00 am -2:30 pm Tuesday through Friday and 10:30 am-2:30 pm on Mondays! I can visit your home to walk, feed, and check in on your dog or feed and check in on your cat. I can also clean up after your pets!

“Danielle was wonderful with our two cats while we were away for a week, both of whom require separate medications. She provided detailed updates and photos, and it gave us such peace of mind knowing our boys were being taken care of and had company. Danielle also went above and beyond when one of our cats was being picky about his food bowl - which we all appreciated so much! Will definitely book with Danielle again and highly recommend.”

“Tracey was super caring and did a great job watching my dog! She sent pictures and was very thoughtful, which helped calm my nerves since it was my first time using rover!”

About: I have taken care of my own dogs, neighbors dogs, and fostered dogs. I am widely available in the summer and after noons in the school year. Kind, mature, dog lover available to walk you dog or just stop in and give them some love? I have lots of availability in the summer and would love to relieve the stress that can come with leaving our doggies at home. I am happy to walk your dog, check in/let them out or just give them some attention. Lots of afternoon/evenings in the school year. I am not offering boarding at this time. I can stop by check in and walk your dog, following all of your directions. I know some of the stress of leaving our pups at home is finding someone we trust to care for them when we are not there. We just want to know they are all good!
“Rachael took such good care of my pups! I wasn’t sure how my dogs would do in a new home but when I picked them up they were sooo happy. Her dog Lucia is so sweet and got along so well worn my pups. They can’t wait to visit again! :)”

“Jessica and her home is a great place to leave your pup! I've been dropping off my skittish pup with Jessica for years. She always jumps up as soon as we turn the corner, excited to see her friends again. She's comfy, safe and having fun the whole time we are gone. I highly recommend for daycare and overnights for pups :)”

About: I am a loving, kind person. If I could I would save the entire pet kingdom. Some people say I am a dog whisperer. I’ve been taking care of my furry friends since I was a little girl. Your pet will be treated as if it was mine. I will make sure to provide the best care and protect your baby the best possible way. I am a proud owner of a Mini Aussie - Koda and a Black Cat - Joe. Few years ago I said goodbye to my best trio ever. They were all senior doggies. First I’ve lost Koko (17 years old Maltipoo), second heartbreak was 13 years old Pitbull - Woofy, third 15 years old Chihuahua - Choochoo ! All were the most important furry babies ever! I will always carry this horrible hole in my heart after the BIG loss. I’ve decided to join Rover to fulfill my purpose of helping others with their loved ones as best as I can, so we both know they are in good hands while you are busy with your obligations. I am here for you and for them. I understand how important our four legged friends are, and I will make sure we are all happy at the end of the busy day. We can go for long walks, we can stay home, we can relax or play! Whatever it takes for you and your pet to be comfortable and completely satisfied. I am here to help! I have plenty of time since I’ve moved back to Michigan and looking for a job. I know I would be happy to do something I love, which is taking care of your furry friend (s). I have a fenced large backyard. I have a cat and a dog. They are both extremely friendly. If needed they can be separated from a pet I do take care of.
“Megan is extremely nice and welcoming and provides great care. My dog is always super excited to visit her place! Due to my dogs anxious nature, she often leaves new places stressed. However, whenever she comes home from Megan's she is relaxed and happy. Do book Megan if you want a great care experience for your pet!!”

About: I’ve had cats, dogs, a rabbit and even a guinea pig growing up. I’m in love with all animals and they all just look for someone to genuinely love and take care of them. That person is me, and during our time together me and your four legged family member will become new Best friends, giving your pet the best love and care I can efficiently and effectively. I’m patient and overall fun, animals can sense that and you will too! Your pets will love me and I will love them much more. Hope to see you soon! (Thank you if you consider me! Please try to book 2 days before boarding date.) This job is literally the most convenient for me, since the pandemic I’ve had plenty of time to spend at home and connect with so many fur babies. I have a puppy of my own so a lot of things I already have for your fur baby here. About: I currently am a full-time Rover sitter. I have experience working in an animal physical therapy center where I treated special needs dogs and cats. Throughout my life span, I have owned 15 pets: 5 lizards, 8 fish, a hedgehog, a cat, 6 dogs, a scorpion, and a guinea pig. I studied animal science with a concentration in animal biology at MSU, following the pre-vet track. I’ve yet to meet an animal that I don’t get along with- it’s like we just click. I’m a very caring person that loves pets! If I could, I’d be a zookeeper. A lot of things I know about pet care I have learned in a Companion Animal Biology and Management class, from stress to diseases to development, etc. There couldn’t be a more perfect friend to watch your pal! Hope to meet you soon (: ! I am a full-time Rover sitter. Aside from Rover, I am a vet assistant at an animal PT rehabilitation center. To my best ability, I will give your pet my undivided attention. I’m rarely too busy to leave them unattended. I always ask clients for feeding and potty schedules and adhere to their pets’ needs. Safety is top priority, and your pet is in good hands. Upon request with unfenced yards, leash walking available.
“I dropped my puppy off with Sarah for the day and she was amazing! She sent pictures of my puppy and took great care of her! I would definitely trust Sarah with any of my pets any day! Thank you!”

About: I've been a dog owner most of my life and also have two grand dogs and a grand cat who I care for often. I'm experienced with any age, any sized dog and regularly walk two dogs at a time. When can we meet? I'm looking for a way to meet more dogs when away from my grand dogs and want to walk / and exercise more while providing a trustworthy option for your pet(s)! Inclement weather doesn't matter if your pet doesn't mind it. I'm already an experienced and trusted house sitter, plus dog and cat sitter (and can care for houseplants & yards too). I'll respect your privacy and care for your home & pets like I would my own. I'll provide updates and photos to put you at ease. I truly understand that your pets are your children.

“Hi! Jen is an amazing dog walker and I would highly recommend her. She has taken on walking my 18 year old Emma, a rat terrier mix, 5 days a week. Jen is patient and kind with Emma, from slowly waking her up each afternoon, to walking her in all kinds of horrible winter weather, to making sure her paws are clean when they return. And with my old sassy girl, trust me when I say none of it is easy. Jen somehow pulls it off, week after week. I'm so grateful to have found her.”

“Nia was wonderful! She took care of my Zayle on short notice. Zayle still acts like a puppy and Nia was capable and comfortable with that type of energy and behavior. Nia was nice, professional and right on time. 10/10 the best the app has to offer! I’ll be booking with Nia again soon :)”
“Jessica is very patient with both dogs. We have dog with special needs and is a senior and she is very patient and is working with us to make sure his exercise needs are met. I highly recommend Jessica!”

“Thank you Angela! She took wonderful care of our dog, Budd. Helped manage his anxiety during thunderstorms, kept us up to date on how he was adjusting, and send sweet photos!”

“Nia was a new Rover sitter for Cesar, and she made him like he was at home. She was very professional. Always responded to all of my communications quickly. I would definitely use her as one of my go to Rover sitters in the future. Thank you for taking such good care of my Cesar!”

“Oliver had an amazing time with Whitley and her pup Ollie! They were so cute together, playing and having fun. I was nervous as this was the first time Oliver stayed with someone he didn’t know and Whitley made him feel comfortable and happy. Thank you!”

“Megan was great and very friendly. Our dog Lilo stayed with her for a long weekend and really enjoyed her stay. She got along very well with Megan’s dog Finn and her sons. We would definitely have Lilo stay with her again.”

“I had a great experience with Cody and would absolutely book with him again. Throughout my dog’s 6-night stay, I received updates and photos on days 1, 3, and 5, which gave me peace of mind while I was away. My dog can be pretty anxious, especially in new environments, but Cody handled him with patience and care. When I picked him up, I could clearly tell he had grown comfortable and even formed a bond with Cody, which says a lot. He was nervous at drop-off, but it was reassuring to see how much more relaxed and at ease he was by the end of his stay. Cody created a safe, welcoming environment and was easy to communicate with throughout the process. I really appreciated the attention given to my dog’s needs and overall well-being. Thank you again for taking good care of him—I’d definitely trust Cody with my pup in the future.”
“Riley felt very comfortable innSuzanne’s home and appreciated chasing the squirrels in her back yard. Could not have asked for better treatment. Will be using Suzanne next time we will be back in GP..”

“Jessica was fantastic. Our little girl Yogi stayed for a few days. It was tough leaving her, but Jessica made it easy for us. Jessica was friendly and communicative. Jessica made Yogi feel comfortable and like part of the pack. We got daily photos and/or videos and you could tell Yogi was happy and having fun. Jessica gave us a peace of mind and we are honestly so thankful to have found her. 100000000% recommend Jessica to all "pet parents." Thank you, Jessica and fur babies!”
