From the moment we started taking to the meet and greet to leaving Remy with her for a few days was fantastic. Her communication was excellent and fast right from the beginning. We weren't gone long before she was already sending pictures which is something we said we would take any time.. throughout our few days away we received many updates and pictures and from the pictures we could see that Remy was very happy and being cared and loved just as we do. About: I grew up dogs from the time I was little- labs, retrievers, shepherds- and had a special needs rescue dog with my partner for many years who lived to be fifteen. When she passed, my partner and I started boarding and house sitting regularly and have built up a pretty cute little pack. I am comfortable giving oral medication and upholding your dog’s schedule, house rules, and love to take field trips whenever possible. My favorite is when a dog can come with me everywhere, so smaller senior pups have become my specialty, but I can’t help but love all the dogs who come along. As a videographer and Maine youth basketball coach I have a lot of flexibility in my work schedule and spend a lot of time working from home editing videos. I’m fairly active, always happy to take breaks from work to walk around the neighborhood or find a pet-friendly beach to run around on. I’m in an apartment very close to Deering Oaks Park and the Western Prom. The apartment is a compact second story walk up and has been carefully maintained to keep it safe for curious noses.

About: My husband used to train in the canine unit so he’s definitely taught me a thing or two! I’ve had cats my whole life as well! I am patient and loving towards all living beings. About: I raised, trained, and cared for my family dog from a puppy when I was in high school. Post college I adopted a senior dog and cared for him for the last couple of years of his life. In the meantime I have been a sitter for friends and family dogs and cats over the years. I am used to giving medications (even when it needs to be disguised) and staying on a feeding schedules. I am usually out and about in the evenings for a few hours at a time. On the weekends I like to be busy, but can certainly adjust my time when I have a dog or cat around. I have a large one bedroom, and am on the 3rd floor. So my place is likely not good for pets with mobility issues (unless they are small enough that I can carry them). I live very close to lots of nature easily accessible and make a point to get outside often.

About: I’ve taken care of dogs and cats of family and friends since I was in my teens, but more extensively in college and since. For 3 years I boarded and sat for three different family friends. I’ve personally helped raise 3 dogs and 2 cats. I’ve even helped herd sheep and tamed alpacas! I work nearly full-time as a server at a restaurant, so Wednesday to Saturday night I’m unavailable for somewhere between 6-9 hours on those days. When I have my off days I’m usually at home or out for a walk. I’m usually efficient with my errands and have extensive free time on off days. My apartment is a one bedroom, so if I’m not playing around the apartment with the pet, I’d want to bring them on a walk or to the park. I have a very comfortable bedroom conducive to nap time, and I live in the heart of Old Port. Whenever I am with pets in my house I am always looking to set up a cozy space for them to relax with blankets, pillows, their favorite toys. I try to make them feel like a proper guest in my home like anyone else. My apartment is always very quiet despite being downtown, but I would hope to find activities we could do in and around Portland to help keep them active and entertained.

“Already booked follow up walks! We had reached out to a few people to see about getting Brinkley a regular Saturday walker. One of my top choices messaged back and said she was out of town for a couple weeks but Riley was staying at her place and could pick up the ones until she is back. Riley came by and hung out with us and Brinkley for 20-minutes before the walk! He is a shy boy who takes some time to warm up and she was so great with him. It was crazy cold that day and Riley had zero hesitation -- and she was engaged every second... even longer than she needed to! We've had a couple of bad walker experiences as of late (either ignoring our one non-negotiable rule which almost ended in tragedy or taking him to the park and sitting with him for long periods of time, so he didn't get any exercise), so Riley was a breath of fresh air! Brinkley did very well with her and came back as a tuckered out, super cuddly pup. Couldn't ask for anything more! I've already confirmed Riley for walks for the rest of the time she's in town.”
About: I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life—from Cavapoos to Corgis to Wheaten Terriors to Doodles, to Boxers! I’ve also had the pleasure of having a Goldendoodle of my own as well! My sweet pup was in an accident and required lots of specific care such as wound care and medication administration for many months. I am a very patient and dedicated pet sitter and will treat your pet like my own. I’ll keep them safe, make sure they get the attention they need, and assure that you get the updates you crave while away from your bestie. I absolutely love animals and I also know how challenging it can be to have peace of mind while maintaining your life responsibilities outside of your furry friends—I hope to have the opportunity to take that stress off of your plate! I’m currently in grad school for Speech Language Pathology (classes are online until January 2027) and work per diem at the hospital. I have two shifts per week serving at a restaurant in Portland as well, they are typically 6-8 hour shifts so if booked for an overnight, there may be a day or two that I am away for that amount of time! Otherwise, my schedule is super flexible and perfect for that mid day potty and play break! Safety is first! You tell me how you like things to go in your home and what makes your pet the most comfortable and I’ll make sure it happens! Let me know if your pet has any anxieties in public and I’ll keep in mind ways to keep them happy and calm on walkies!

About: I have been a loving dog owner since I was born and the type of person you will always find petting various animals. I have been pet sitting and dog walking since I was nearly 10 years old and love every minute of it! I currently work three long days a week at the hospital, which are different each week, which, for the most part means I’m only available for your animals on my days off. Special exceptions may be worked out during overnight stays where I have time before and after work. On the plus side, my days off are very flexible! As per your preferences and the animal’s specificities, I would make sure to keep up their daily routines as well as keep them fed, watered, clean, and happy!
