About: I recently lost my 14 y/o Coonhound (Jazzy) She was the bestest girl in the world, and the best friend anyone could ask for. I am not ready for another dog just yet, but I would love to have another heartbeat in the house. My schedule is very flexible, in the event that I have to run some errands, I am happy to take your dog for a car ride with me. I live in a quiet neighborhood with a large backyard and in close proximity to trails for long walks that I often frequent. About: I’ve been surrounded by dogs and cats my whole life—growing up in a pet-loving home taught me how to care for animals with love and patience. I’ve also volunteered at the humane society, where I gained hands-on experience with a variety of breeds and personalities. About: Growing up I’ve had pets ranging from dogs to reptiles. Spending time and taking care of them was never a job but a passion. From volunteering at animal shelters at a young age to pet sitting for friends and family, I continue to express my love and care for animals. I also have a 16 year old Portuguese Water Dog at home and she is my world! I currently work full time from 8am to 4pm Mon-Fri. Sitting for pets before and after my work hours on those days is no problem of mine if the owner is ok with them spending that period of time alone. That being said I am also able to spend nights at owners homes on said weekdays. I live in a private neighborhood with great dog walking roads and trails. I also have an elderly dog who enjoys company and a backyard for the two of them to play.

About: I raised, trained, and cared for my family dog from a puppy when I was in high school. Post college I adopted a senior dog and cared for him for the last couple of years of his life. In the meantime I have been a sitter for friends and family dogs and cats over the years. I am used to giving medications (even when it needs to be disguised) and staying on a feeding schedules. I am very up for caring for senior dogs who want to lay around the house, and equally ready to go on long walks with a dog with more energy. I work from home always, so will be around during the day for pups who like to hang! I'm on the East End of Portland with the Eastern Prom very close by so plenty of places to walk and explore. I am usually out and about in the evenings for a few hours at a time. On the weekends I like to be busy, but can certainly adjust my time when I have a dog or cat around. I have a large one bedroom, and am on the 3rd floor. So my place is likely not good for pets with mobility issues (unless they are small enough that I can carry them). I live very close to lots of nature easily accessible and make a point to get outside often.

I previously had a cat-sitting business when I worked at The Cat Practice in New York City in the mid 1990s. Here in Maine, I have had occasional pet sitting jobs. “Molly took our dog and guinea pig for ten days while we were out of town. It was the first time we have ever left our pets with a "stranger". Molly instantly put us at ease when we met her and our dog and hers quickly bonded. What's more is that our pup seemed to be looking for her playmates when she got home, almost sad to have left them behind! About: I recently lost my 14 y/o Coonhound (Jazzy) She was the bestest girl in the world, and the best friend anyone could ask for. I am not ready for another dog just yet, but I would love to have another heartbeat in the house. My schedule is very flexible, in the event that I have to run some errands, I am happy to take your dog for a car ride with me. I live in a quiet neighborhood with a large backyard and in close proximity to trails for long walks that I often frequent. Also, I could not be happier to have your dog hang out on the couch with me while I read or work from home.

He's a big cuddle bug and we gave her some of his favorite treats and she sent pictures of him enjoying them. When we picked up Brutus a couple days later he was exactly himself and did not have any decrease in appetite which we've experienced before.
