About: Been a dog lover and owner all my life and would love the opportunity to take care of your dog if our schedules are able to align. I'm a teacher, so my summers are generally pretty open. I work Monday and Wednesday nights from about 5-7pm, but am otherwise available, unless otherwise noted in my calendar. Available times may change. I have a comfy crate suitable for small to medium dogs (if you crate), lots of toys, and lots of time to engage with your sweetie. The area surrounding my home is safe and quiet, with many options for woodland walks. I live near dog-friendly beaches and the Saco river, so splashing is an option, too! If your dog has good recall, I can provide off-leash time in the 1.5 acre yard. I have a front porch with a protective gate to keep the sunbathers from getting out, and lots of space for indoor play time and resting as well.

“We were thrilled with the care of Angel while we were away. She can be skittish with new people, yet she fell right in with this wonderful family. I loved the photos and updates we got everyday and the flexibility when our plans changed slightly. Our only worry was that Angel wouldn’t miss us!!! About: Hi! I’m a lifelong dog lover and proud dog parent to Otis, my energetic Golden Retriever. Caring for him has given me hands-on experience with puppy training, daily exercise, feeding routines, crate training, and all the joys (and occasional messes!) that come with raising a happy, healthy dog. I understand that every dog has their own personality and needs, and I take the time to make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. Whether your pup enjoys long walks, playtime, belly rubs, or simply relaxing with a companion, I’ll provide attentive care tailored to them. I have a rotating schedule that allows me to have flexibility each week with some weekend and weekday availability! I strive to be available for anything from last minute drop-ins to 2-3 day long stretches for long weekends or midweek trips! I have a yard to allow your fur baby some outdoor play and also love exploring nearby walking paths and beaches! On the other end of the spectrum I have a nice big couch for those fur babies that just want a relaxing cuddle session. I also have a one-year old golden retriever who is an excellent companion for any pup looking for a play-mate!

“I have never had such a positive experience. My pup was unfortunately sick during the majority of his stay with Heidi and I was unable to pick him up. Fortunately for us, he was in the best hands possible. Not only did she keep us informed constantly and ask for our opinion on how to take care of him best, but she even went out of her way to feed him a special diet that would best suit his sick tummy. I can’t recommend Heidi enough with your pets.”
