“Louise is so happy getting out of the car at Elisabeth’s. She is so well cared for and Elisabeth always sends updates of what she’s up to and how much fun she’s having. So grateful to Elisabeth and highly recommend her and her sweet dogs!!”

“Kymberly and Robert are excellent dog sitters. We felt absolutely confident and comfortable that our dog was in good hands from the moment we dropped her off with Kymberly and Robert. They posted regular updates and were attentive in every way. It’s clear that they have a love of dogs and shared that love with our pup. I highly recommend them for your dog needs!”

“Finding someone that you can trust that will care for and love your fur baby as you do can be challenging. We were able to find someone and more in Robin. From the moment we started taking to the meet and greet to leaving Remy with her for a few days was fantastic. Her communication was excellent and fast right from the beginning. We weren't gone long before she was already sending pictures which is something we said we would take any time.. throughout our few days away we received many updates and pictures and from the pictures we could see that Remy was very happy and being cared and loved just as we do. Robin's compassion to take care of and spend time with animals is very clear. Remy even seemed a little sad after we picked him up and brought him home like he missed her and her fun dog Stella. We can't recommend Robin enough and we will definitely be using again!”

“Kyle and Mariah were fantastic caretakers for Lobo for the past week! Got photo updates multiple times per day, and it's clear that he had a TON of engagement and activity - he put himself to bed when we got home 😂. Highly recommend!!”

“Nicolette was professional, attentive and a great dog sitter taking them on sniffventures, walks, dog parks, ect. Our pet had such a great time making new friends he didn't want to leave when we came to pick him up. We'll definitely be doing business with Nicolette in the future! Thank you so much Nicolette for being exactly what we and Odin wanted/needed, you're the best:)”

About: Hi! I’m Katie, a lifelong animal lover offering dog walks, drop-in visits, pet check-ins and house sitting for all kinds of animals. I understand how important it is to know your pets are safe, comfortable, and cared for while you’re away. Whether your pet needs a walk, playtime, potty break, feeding, medication, or just some extra attention and companionship, I’m happy to help. I have experience caring for dogs, cats, and other household pets, and I treat every animal as if they were my own. I pride myself on being reliable, communicative, and attentive to each pet’s unique needs. I look forward to meeting you and your furry (or feathered!) family members! As a pet owner myself, I know how much trust it takes to leave your animals in someone else’s care. I have a dog and two cats of my own, so I understand the importance of routine, patience, and lots of love. 🐾 My schedule is very flexible, with availability for pet care most days. I work independently doing sewing and alterations, which allows me to prioritize pet care and accommodate your pet’s individual routine and needs. In my home, pets are treated like family. I ensure they’re safe, supervised, and comfortable, with plenty of love, play, and outdoor time. I respect routines and follow all care instructions closely.
“She is amazing! What more can I say? My dogs both love her, and one of them is reactive and can be quite difficult. But they both love her and that puts me at ease knowing they are happy and well cared for.”

“I’m so happy we found Sergey at the last minute. My two dogs stayed with Sergey’s for six nights. They came home tired, happy, and clean. Sergey was extremely flexible with our timing when our travel was delayed. I would not hesitate to recommend Sergey as a pet sitter.”

“Hank and his mom Rachel were such a blast for our dog Bode to stay with. He had a great week of playtime, couch time, and what looked like hours of dog parkour. We will absolutely be sending Bode back.”

“Ziggy had such a great time with Lizzy. She took him on lots of adventures and gave us tons of updates. He came home tired and happy, it was a great fit. She was so easy to communicate with too! We will definitely book with Lizzy again!”

“Simon was so nice and welcoming, and my dogs seemed very happy. I got a bunch of pictures showing me how comfortable and at home my dogs felt from the first moment. We will certainly call Simon when we are in the area again!”

“Christine was a lovely host for Bode’s week of summer camp. She was quick to reply, lovely to speak with, but most importantly seemed to really care about Bode’s wellbeing and happiness. She has a huge fenced in yard that he had free reign to, and a lovely in ground pool. We will absolutely book with her again!”

“Our dog, Maggie was happy with Abigail and Neil. They sent a few photos. She has a lot of energy and I'm sure she kept their dog, Molly busy. I appreciate them allowing Maggie to roam free in their home and on furniture.”

About: Animals have always been an important part of my life. I grew up with a cat who was much more than a pet—because I didn’t have any brothers or sisters, she was my best friend and constant companion. Later, after meeting my husband, who had a dog, I discovered how much joy dogs bring and how different, fun, and rewarding it is to spend time with them. Now that my own children are older and more independent, I finally have some time to do something I’ve wanted for a while: care for other people’s dogs. Spending time with animals truly makes me happy, and I would love to give your dog the same love, attention, and care that I would give my own. I’ve looked after dogs in my home and understand that every pet is unique. Some dogs love long walks and playtime, while others just want a quiet companion nearby. I’ll happily follow your dog’s routine and make sure they feel safe, comfortable, and loved while you’re away. What really sets me apart is how much I genuinely care. I pay close attention to the little details, carefully follow your instructions, and treat every pet like family. I’ll also send regular photos and updates, so you’ll always know your furry friend is happy and well cared for. I currently work part-time, which gives me plenty of time to care for your pet. I’m available for afternoon walks during the week, as well as boarding. Your dog will have regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and lots of attention throughout the day. I always do my best to follow your pet’s usual schedule, so they feel comfortable and at home while you’re away. My home is a safe, pet-friendly environment where dogs are treated like part of the family. They will have plenty of attention, regular potty breaks, walks, playtime, and a cozy place to rest. . My children are older. They’re gentle and respectful, and they’ll happily play with your dog if that’s something your dog enjoys. I’ll also send regular photo updates, so you’ll always know your pet is happy and well cared for.
About: Hi! We’re Natalie and Tim, and we have both had dogs our entire lives. Natalie worked at a Humane Society in college, and Tim fostered dogs (and was a “failed foster” parent) for many years before we moved to Maine with our two doggies, Penny & Willa. We spend lots of time taking our dogs and dogs who we sit for to local nature trails in Cumberland or enjoying fetch with the Chuck-It in our large backyard. Our home is kid-free, and we will treat your pups like our own! Tim works from home, and Natalie is a full-time graduate student with a flexible schedule. Your dogs will be home with either or both of us for the majority, if not the entire time! We have a large yard (1.5 acres) on a quiet street in a very dog-friendly neighborhood. Although our yard is not physically fenced, we do have an electric fence that could work for your dog if they are trained on this at your home! We are happy to crate your dogs - we’re even happy to have them in our bedroom and on the couch if they prefer!

“Caroline did a wonderful job at looking after my cats while I was on vacation. I was nervous to book a pet sitter since I never have before but Caroline made the process super easy. I loved receiving updates and pictures that she took during her visits. I would definitely book with her again and recommend her to anyone needing a pet sitter.”

“Jonas has been great with our cat, spending videos and keeping us updated. They also waded through 17” of snow when we were out of town to feed our cat, and changed around their schedule to bring a package in for us before the snow came. Would highly recommend!”

“Robin came to check on our older dog when a family emergency came up and my wife and I were out of town. She saved the day and was so friendly, and great following instructions!”

“Yesenia was wonderful with our dog. We used her for check ins. She made the time to come over prior for a meet and greet, and gave thorough updates (and asked appropriate questions) while we were away. It was our first time trying Rover and it went great. We would definitely work with her again.”

“We found Lena last minute before some holiday travels. She was wonderful and our kitty seemed to really enjoy having her visit. Lena was also very courteous and cleaned our kitty's bowl and the area around the litter box after each visit!”

“So happy to have found Amy! She is easy to communicate with, arrives on time, and never fails to give detailed updates with lots of pictures so I know my babies are ok. You can tell she really loves animals, and she even charmed my shy little guy the first time she met him. Highly recommend!”

“Brooke was terrific! She sent us plenty of photos, kept us up-to-date on our diabetic cat and was very comfortable calling or texting with questions (since we hadn't provided all of the answers). She was on time and extremely caring. We'll definitely be hiring her again.”

“Grace is a great pet sitter! She is reliable, good communication, excellent attention to detail, and she took great care of our two fur babies. The house looked great upon our return. We will definitely rebook!”

About: As a cat owner myself, I understand that every cat has their own unique personality, routine, and comfort level. Whether your cat is social and playful or prefers a quiet companion, I’m happy to provide attentive, stress-free care while you’re away. I offer drop-in visits that include feeding, fresh water, litter box cleaning, playtime, enrichment, medication administration (if needed), and plenty of affection on your cat’s terms. I know how important consistency is for cats, and I strive to keep their routine as normal and comfortable as possible. You’ll receive regular updates and photos so you can relax knowing your cat is safe, cared for, and getting lots of attention while you’re gone. My goal is to treat your pets and home with the same care and respect I would want for my own. I look forward to meeting you and your feline family members! 🐾💕
About: I have had at least one dog at all times of my life, ranging from big to small and young to old. I’d say I have been the primary dog walker in my house since I was around 10 years old and have gradually added responsibilities over the years. I’ve been fortunate enough to help watch, walk, or check-in on friends and family pets for years now as well. I currently have two pups, both King Charles Cavaliers. I recently graduated with my Master’s and only working part-time this Summer while studying for my board exam. This allows for plenty of time throughout the week, or at potentially strange hours to do visits or walks. I am happy to offer check-in, walks, or even pet-sitting depending on how much notice I receive. I previously have had senior pets with varying needs and totally understand every situation is different. I’d be happy to follow any directions on specific caregiving for your pets and make them as comfortable and happy as I can.
“Jenna was totally reliable even when a foot of snow dumped on Brunswick. My cats were obviously well-taken care of but happy to see their cat-mom again. Whole-heartedly recommend Jenna - very pleasant and obviously caring.”

“Craig and Chelsea were ontime as always and detailed with their rover card! We always travel with peace of mind knowing they are taking care of our fur-baby!”

“This was our first time leaving our cat and we were gone for over 8 days. Stephanie gave daily reports, uploaded photos, and let us know about any concerns. She even offered a spare water fountain for our cat when she diligently noticed he wasn’t drinking a lot of water. He’s happy we are home now, but makes me feel better we now have a great cat sitter for our next trip.”

“Maricela took great care of our kitties and provided wonderful updates and photos while we were away in our trip. I knew they were safe, happy, and well taken care of while we were gone. I will definitely book with her again in the future!”

About: I am recently retired and am just starting out with the Rover. com work platform. My ideal work will involve helping families care for their pets when they can't be there to care for them themselves. I have been in this position with my pets several times and know how stressful it can be to trust somebody that you don’t know to care for your dog or cat family member. I have always had dogs and cats as part of my family, including special needs pets. I currently have one dog with special needs (IVDD and reactivity.) I would be happy to talk with you to see if I can meet the needs of you and your pet. Because I am retired I am fairly flexible with my schedule. However, due to my own pet , I am not available for overnight care or boarding. In addition, I travel a fair amount. So, I am best suited for occasional/one time/short term or fill-in type jobs. I currently have a dog who has physical limitations and reactivity. Because of this, I am unable to board a dog or cat in my home. I am also not available to overnight pet sit in your home.

“Robin is so great! I’m thankful to have found her and Stella (her pup)! My 3-month old puppy was able to be cared for while I was away. Robin was super communicative and easy going.”

We also do doggy day care and do boarding- so we keep pretty busy. I always walk dogs on their leashes. I make sure to keep medications and other harmful things locked away. “Chelsea has been watching my brand new pup for a couple of days while I am at work and when I come to pick him up he wants to stay and play! She has kept me updated throughout the day which I so appreciate!”

“My Rosie first met Matt when his partner was her primary sitter and she has been obsessed with him for well over a year. His wonderful partner is no longer dogsitting in the area so Matt joined Rover himself bc he loved the dogs so much and I could not be more grateful. He keeps her active enough that Rosie is tired when she gets home but most importantly I appreciate knowing she’s going to be loved on all day. Matt is flexible and super communicative plus he takes great pictures - I would recommend him without any hesitation.”

“i would definitely book simon again! he was lovely and very accommodating. he gave a thorough report when i picked up my pet who came home calm and taken care of. i was also impressed by his own lovely, and nicely trained dog. that says a lot!”

“Alma is amazing with my (initially) timid pup, Gambler! He warmed up to her quickly, and he had a great time playing with her dog and going for pack walks in the neighborhood. I got pictures and updates throughout the day, which made me feel comfortable and reassured that he was adjusting to the new environment. He always comes home happy and tired, which is perfect!”

“Kylie took excellent care of Rosa and made sure she felt comfortable during her stay. She was also easy to communicate and flexible with scheduling my last minute request! I would definitely use Kylie again in the future.”

“Absolutely wonderful pet sitter. Marna was calm and patient with our little chihuahua, Miika. Miika was happy and relaxed when she was picked up. I highly recommend Marna and will definitely be using her services again.”

“Jaclyn is amazing! Sable went for daycare with the plan to get her comfortable for future boarding and it's great. Her home setting allows Sable to socialize but still get individualized attention.”

I live in a country setting with a very large backyard that provides plenty of space for exercise, playtime, and potty breaks. I also have a beautiful walking trail and a 40 acre field directly off my backyard for dogs that love to run! Your pet’s safety, comfort, and well-being are always my top priorities! I would love the opportunity to meet you and your pet. Please feel free to contact me to discuss your pet care needs or to schedule a meet and greet! Since pet care is my full-time focus, I’m able to stay consistent with feeding times, potty breaks, and any special instructions. My schedule is built around the pets in my care, allowing me to provide reliable, attentive care and maintain each pet’s normal routine so they feel comfortable and at home. I have three small, friendly Chihuahuas and a cat. They’re all well behaved and have always done well with other animals. If needed, I can easily keep them on a separate floor to make sure visiting pets feel comfortable and have their own space.
About: I'm an experienced doggy foster, boarding more than 10 new-to-Maine rescues last year before adopting a sweet little pup of my own. As a new dog parent, I know how difficult it can be to find reliable, affordable, overnight care - plus a place my pup will actually enjoy! I routinely pet-sit for friends, and joined Rover to continue expanding my dog's social circle (she *loves* other dogs) while earning supplementary income. My pup, Marcy, is a 1-year old blackmouth cur. She's a regular at the dog park and very well socialized across a range of doggy personalities. I have a safe, calm house with a fenced-in yard. I also work remotely, meaning your dog would have lots of attention and a watchful eye. Although I'm primarily listing my offering as dog boarding at my home, Marcy and I are flexibile so long as there is reliable internet. So please reach out if you prefer boarding at your home instead. Note that Marcy is gentle not prey driven, though she's only been introduced to one cat. If you have kitties, let's do a meet-n-greet to ensure it's a good fit. Reach out with any questions! I work at home, with flexibility around meetings for walks, dog park trips, and potty/training breaks. I’m available to pet sit any day of the week. At my home: I have a 4 ft fenced-in yard for play time, which turns into an at-home dog park when Marcy has a visitor. Note that the fence isn't foolproof for an escape artist or high jumper. Dogs are allowed throughout the house and on couches, if they choose. Sleeping arrangements are flexible, especially knowing visiting pups can sometimes feel more comfortable sleeping in bed with a human. Marcy is crate-trained, and I have a large crate in case your pup needs a designated safe space.
About: I've been an animal lover for as long as I can remember, and I'd love the chance to care for your pets like they're my own. I'm a Maine native who recently moved back home after spending the last four years traveling and working as a professional dancer on a cruise ship. Now that I'm settled in Southern Maine, I'm excited to spend more time with animals! I'm an active, reliable, and patient person, so whether your dog loves long walks, playing fetch, or just having someone to keep them company, I'm happy to match their energy. I also understand that every pet has their own personality and routine, and I'll always take the time to make them feel safe, comfortable, and loved. As a pet owner myself, I know how important it is to trust the person caring for your furry family member. I'll send plenty of photo updates, communicate throughout each visit, and make sure your pet gets the attention and care they deserve while you're away. Whether you need drop-in visits, walks, overnight care, or just someone to give your pet extra love, I'd be honored to help. I can't wait to meet you and your best friend! Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine! I have a flexible schedule that allows me to prioritize walks, drop-in visits, and giving pets the attention they need throughout the day. I currently teach dance part-time and work remote during the day, but my schedule leaves plenty of time for pet care, and I love having animals as part of my everyday life. I’m an active person who enjoys getting outside, so walks, playtime, and keeping pets engaged are things I genuinely look forward to. I’m also someone who values consistency and routine, and I’ll make sure your pet feels comfortable and cared for while you’re away. I care for every pet with the same attention, patience, and love I would want for my own. In a client’s home, I focus on keeping their routine as consistent as possible—following feeding schedules, walks, medications (if needed), playtime, and any special instructions you provide. I know pets feel most comfortable in their own environment, so I make sure they feel safe, happy, and cared for while you’re away. I’m also happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can feel connected and confident that your pet is being well taken care of. My goal is to make your time away stress-free, knowing your furry friend is receiving plenty of love, attention, and companionship.

I have a big yard for the dogs to play outside (supervised), great trails for walking/running and plenty of room inside for your furry friend to hang and relax. In my home, I provide a nurturing and stimulating environment for Ollie and Kylo by ensuring they have a consistent routine that includes regular exercise, balanced meals, and plenty of affection. I focus on maintaining a safe and clean living space, regularly grooming them, and keeping their toys and bedding fresh. When caring for pets in my clients' homes, I prioritize understanding each pet's unique needs and routines. I follow any specific instructions provided by the owners, ensuring their pets receive the same level of care and attention they would at home. This includes feeding them according to their schedule, taking them for walks or play sessions, and maintaining any training or behavioral routines. I also make sure to keep the client's home clean and secure, leaving detailed updates on their pet's activities and well-being. My goal is to provide peace of mind to pet owners, knowing their beloved pets are in safe and caring hands.

“Caroline is just phenomenal!! If you are fortunate enough to have her take care of your furry family members count yourself amongst the lucky!! I know my boys are in good hands when they are on their walks, being fed, or just being given that little bit of extra attention that we all need at times. With Caroline there are no worries!!”

“Amy was great with Maddy, who is an excited, energetic dog. Amy was calm and easy-going and really gave Maddy a good work-out on her walk. I really appreciated her attitude and commitment!”

“Repeating costumer! Have already booked for another walk. They are so sweet with my dogs. Give great feedback back and pictures. Always reliable. Would definitely recommend.”

“super accommodating and helpful, my dog walker/family friend recently passed and it has been difficult finding decent walkers but she was fantastic. super friendly and very understanding and worked well with Leviathan”

“Craig is absolutely fabulous. He sent great photos and detailed notes about each walk. I have such a great feeling of calm knowing he’s taking care of Waylon.”

“Katie is absolutely fantastic. 1st, she was able to accommodate us extremely last minute. She took care of two of our dogs, one of which is very strong and not very good on a leash. Katie was great i'm about community back and forth about anything that she may have had questions about or vice versa. She also went out of her way and helped scoop out our cat's litter and clean up that area that they had made a mess while we were away. She was super sweet to our whole crew and we will 100% be using her again. Thanks Again Katie!!!!”

I will ask for detail instructions on routine and feedings. This way I don’t overwhelm pets with a different person in the home and stay as close to their daily routine as possible.

About: I’ve always been around dogs large and smalle large (grate Danes). Love all dogs. Will work with people if paying will be an issue. Just message me in advance! I can work with you in the early morning or in the late afternoon for them. My work schedule is set and dose not change. I have 2 of my own pets esa certified. I have advanced first aid training and love to take them on long walks if they need it!

About: I've been taking care of animals since I was 15, I absolutely adore any animal of any type! I have much experience with Dogs, Cats and Rabbits and I would love to take care of your best friend whenever you need! Je suis aussi bilingue français/anglais! I am currently off for the summer! I am a double degree student so I spend the summers saving for University! I am typically available monday-friday! I have been house sitting and caring for all types of critters for about 10 years, I am deeply committed to your pets safety, happiness and enrichment during our time together!
About: Over the years I have cared for not only my 4 pets but many of my friends and neighbors pets as well. I love animals and will be a kind, caring and loving pal to yours! Any day and anytime! I can do over night if pets need some company or just checking in on them during the day and taking them for walks. Taking them on walks, feeding them and playing with them! Can also provide basic training and care for younger animals including crate and leash behavior.
“Alicia arrived right on time. You can tell she relates well to dogs and they like her also! She caught on quickly to the special needs of my dog who recently had surgery and quickly learned how to use the equipment to walk him. Overall, a very good experience and will definitely book with her for future dog needs!”

About: I am a huge animal lover and have always had dogs my entire life! I currently have two cats, but love visiting all my friends with pups/watching or taking care of them while my friends are away! Animals usually take to me very well and I love all breeds and sizes! I currently have a full time job so whenever I’m not working there I have a good amount of free time and love to go on walks to the ocean and parks! I figured I could easily do that while walking a dog as well! I do not offer services inside my house at this time unfortunately, only due to a no dog policy that is enforced by my landlord.

About: 35 years of experience caring for dogs, puppies, kittens & cats. I’m good with anxious dogs & scaredy cats. I have a flexible schedule, let me know how I can help. I am currently doing Rover full-time. For many years i have lived in homes with pets and helped care for them. Currently living in a home with 1 cat, 1 dog, and 12 chickens. We also do doggy day care and do boarding- so we keep pretty busy. I always walk dogs on their leashes. I make sure to keep medications and other harmful things locked away. We have a fenced in yard, but i’m always out there with them. I try to take as good care for your animals as if they were my own.
