About: Since becoming fully remote for my full time job in 2020, I have taken on the roll of “trusted pet-sitter” for over 30 families and almost 50 furry friends. Back home in Maryland, I connected with these families just through word-of-mouth and referrals from happy families. Now that I live here in Maine, I would like to continue my expertise and passion for animals, and connect with some loveable furry friends. Relaxing time away can only happen if you can trust that your pets are loved and taken care of almost as good as you😊 I have had a variety of pets my entire life. Friends, neighbors and family have trusted me to take excellent care of their pets. I have gone to their home, they have come to my home and I have visited just to walk them. I love all animals and have learned over the years how to recognize their individual needs. We have a quiet space with lots of grass and woods for playing. My groomer told me there is a need for pet care and I want more pets in my life, so this is perfect for me. In my own home I have any small animals carefully segregated into rooms that predator animals don't go into. Anytime I leave the room, I do a check and verify that all predators are outside the door so nobody can get hurt. I monitor the dogs around the cats to make sure all interactions are safe. I have utlized crates and baby gates when necessary to keep animals safely contained and/or separated in the past. I am skilled at containing flight risk animals and watching out for their safety. I am also fully insured and bonded through Pet Sitters Associates (PSA).
“We had a really great experience and Nicole took such great care of Mia. Scheduling was easy, the meet and greet went very well. We received pictures and updates of Mia several times for a one day stay. Nicole also took Mia for several walks. Mia is an indoor dog and she definitely received a good amount of outdoor exercise time and indoor down time. Nicole has a 2 year old son who also loves dogs and got along very well with Mia. About: Ever since the family cat had kittens when I was four years old, I have been drawn to the care of animals. Honoring the lives of pets as our friends has been a source of inspiration and therapy for myself personally. Ever met that person who just randomly pulls over on the street to say hi to your pup? THAT'S ME! I work full time in the healthcare field, but can often modify my schedule. I routinely travel between Oakland and Gardiner ME for work, so traveling is not an issue. I like to be on the go! I also work part time with Animal Control in Sidney. Due to my other commitments, I do require that all of my furry clients be able to be left alone for at least 8 hours. About: I'm an animal lover of both cats and dogs. I love going on hikes and being outdoors so exercise/playing won't be an issue. I've always allowed pets on my couches/bed so they can get as comfy as they need and get some TLC as the same time. There is always fresh water available. I also have a 20x20ft dog play pen behind our house so they can run freely and not worry about getting loss, and the fence is plenty high enough for bigger dogs as well. I think if you give me the chance, your little one won't want to go anywhere else. I also know how to clip nails, and I have a brush to groom as well so they'll definitely feel plenty of love.

I realized one of the biggest concerns for travelers was their dogs and the thought of having to use kennel services. I have a large area for dogs to run and play by themselves if they prefer or can spend time with our two friendly dogs who love to play even more.I offer crates if needed. But typically allow them run of the house and let them sleep where they are comfortable. Pets are more than welcome make themselves comfortable on the furniture or bed. I have a German Shepherd that I keep separated from the work I do with other animals. I am located at a small farmhouse in Augusta that has a huge yard with two a-joining fields. There is more than enough room to explore the surround with your pet. I am also an avid walker so exercise is big for me generally.
About: I’ve had pet dogs and cats since I was 5 years old. I’ve always loved taking care of them, and being someone that they can rely on. Caring for animals is a big part of my life and something I hope to be forever passionate about! I am working full-time for the summer. I am a college student who will be going back to part time in the fall to finish my last year. I’m mostly free in the evenings and on odd days during the week since I work a rotating schedule. The fall will look different as I’ll be working part-time while also going to school! I’ve been handling large dogs since I was a young teenager, so I’m very comfortable with all types of breeds. About: I'm an animal lover of both cats and dogs. I love going on hikes and being outdoors so exercise/playing won't be an issue. I've always allowed pets on my couches/bed so they can get as comfy as they need and get some TLC as the same time. There is always fresh water available. I also have a 20x20ft dog play pen behind our house so they can run freely and not worry about getting loss, and the fence is plenty high enough for bigger dogs as well. I think if you give me the chance, your little one won't want to go anywhere else. I also know how to clip nails, and I have a brush to groom as well so they'll definitely feel plenty of love.
About: I have taken care of and interacted with many breeds and mixes of dogs, both my own and friends. Have taken care of multiple of cats and even interacted and helped care for several family ferrets. I currently work 3 overnights at a local hospital and am looking to spend some of my free time helping and interacting with local pets and pet parents in need of services, during the afternoons or nights on thur, fri, sat and Sundays. About: I have experience with animals from Great Danes to Fancy rats. I have training experience as well with things such as potty training, walking etiquette, and a few show tricks. I have college classes in the afternoons but my mornings and nights are wide open on weekdays. As for weekends its just dependent on the day so I'll need advanced notice. About: Highlight: I am experienced with aggressive and reactive animals! I have had animals in my home and life as long as I can remember. I have cared for countless dogs, cats, and small animals. At one point in my life I had seven dogs and a number of other pets. I have been providing independent pet care since late 2015. Animal care and rescue is my greatest passion. Pets are always leashed inside before heading for a walk and the leash isn't unclipped until we are back inside with a closed door. In my own home I have any small animals carefully segregated into rooms that predator animals don't go into. Anytime I leave the room, I do a check and verify that all predators are outside the door so nobody can get hurt. I monitor the dogs around the cats to make sure all interactions are safe. I have utlized crates and baby gates when necessary to keep animals safely contained and/or separated in the past. I am skilled at containing flight risk animals and watching out for their safety. I am also fully insured and bonded through Pet Sitters Associates (PSA).
“We had a really great experience and Nicole took such great care of Mia. Scheduling was easy, the meet and greet went very well. We received pictures and updates of Mia several times for a one day stay. Nicole also took Mia for several walks. Mia is an indoor dog and she definitely received a good amount of outdoor exercise time and indoor down time. Nicole has a 2 year old son who also loves dogs and got along very well with Mia.
