About: Since becoming fully remote for my full time job in 2020, I have taken on the roll of “trusted pet-sitter” for over 30 families and almost 50 furry friends. Back home in Maryland, I connected with these families just through word-of-mouth and referrals from happy families. Now that I live here in Maine, I would like to continue my expertise and passion for animals, and connect with some loveable furry friends. About: I have had a variety of pets my entire life. Friends, neighbors and family have trusted me to take excellent care of their pets. I have gone to their home, they have come to my home and I have visited just to walk them. I love all animals and have learned over the years how to recognize their individual needs. We have four acres of land far from the road with a big back yard and lots of woods and play space. My groomer told me there is a need for pet care and I want more pets in my life, so this is perfect for me. I work closely with pet parents to make sure your pet has everything they need to feel right at home. We are outside a lot! I love to walk in all kinds of weather and I love to play outside whenever possible. In addition, I love farm animals too! Your pets are safe in my back yard. About: I have experience with animals from Great Danes to Fancy rats. I have training experience as well with things such as potty training, walking etiquette, and a few show tricks. I have college classes in the afternoons but my mornings and nights are wide open on weekdays. As for weekends its just dependent on the day so I'll need advanced notice. I have utlized crates and baby gates when necessary to keep animals safely contained and/or separated in the past. I am skilled at containing flight risk animals and watching out for their safety. I realized one of the biggest concerns for travelers was their dogs and the thought of having to use kennel services. Since I have the ability to be with the dogs all day it made sense to offer my home and a family setting. Our dog Sweety sleeps with us at night and so do our guest dogs. About: Used to be a manager for a mobile veterinary wellness clinic, have owned animals almost my whole life and currently have a giant bundle of fur chocolate lab at home. Intact 3 year old male. As well as a 4 year old boy and 4 month old boy and 2 tween girls who all love animals. DISCLAIMER- your pets MUST be well behaved enough around small children that are still learning how to safely approach animals in order for me to agree to sit them. Everyone’s safety is my number 1 priority as I have a 9 month old baby as well as other small children in the home. As I’m a stay at home mom, I have plenty of time throughout my day to implement your pets needs into our schedule. I don’t mind last minute bookings, as long as we’re free and non booked up. While we don’t have a fenced in yard, we have no issue taking dogs for walks around the neighborhood and leashes in the yard when necessary.

About: From the time I was young, I’ve always had my own animals to include cats, dogs, hamsters, mice, and into my adult life. I continue to have dogs and ferrets as well as cats. My parents have always had dogs as well and have had a few litters of puppies that I have assisted with, and my dog has had her own litter of puppies so I’m very familiar with young dogs and training and patience. I’ve never worked in a vet clinic, but I have many years of clinical experience with humans so I do have that background. I work from home Monday through Friday and my home office is in our finished basement so the dogs have their own space in the basement with food, water, toys, beds, puppy pads as well as full access to my office to come and go as they please and they just spend the day with me while I’m working. We live on the lake so we don’t have a large yard but it’s also a private road so there’s no traffic and I have an outdoor pen for the dogs but when I’m not working, I also am outside with them so they are always being watched and tended to. I will take them swimming in the lake or out on the canoe if that is something that is OK with pet parents and we do go for walks in the mornings before I start my workday and at lunchtime if the weather permits.

I am a college student who will be going back to part time in the fall to finish my last year. I’m mostly free in the evenings and on odd days during the week since I work a rotating schedule. The fall will look different as I’ll be working part-time while also going to school! I’ve been handling large dogs since I was a young teenager, so I’m very comfortable with all types of breeds. I’d consider myself very gentle when it comes to animal care.
About: I have had dogs and taken care of dogs and cats since childhood. In my more recent years I have dog sat for family members and neighbors. I have enjoyed being able to give peace of mind to them knowing their pets are safe, happy, and cared for. Owning a dog and cat myself I understand the stress and fear of having to leave your pets. Whether it’s work, vacation and other life events it can feel like you’re leaving a piece of your heart behind while you’re away. I strive to bridge that gap and be able to provide peace of mind. My dog is a rescue and came to me with some behavioral challenges: fear, reactivity, resource guarding and separation anxiety. Since being with me he is a thriving boy with manners and is learning new skills and tricks every week! That being said I don’t scare easily and have experience managing a variety of behaviors. I know from experience leaving a pet that has some big feelings at times can be even more challenging and thats where I come in. To offer you peace of mind knowing your dog or cat will be safe and cared for with me. I firmly believe in the saying no bad dogs and would love to get the opportunity to take one worry off your plate while you are away! I have summers off and am able to be around as much or as little as needed for your pet in the summers as that is a busy time for vacations. I do structured schedules with play, train walk and rest times with pets. I can also create scheduled enrichment times throughout our time together. I try to cater what we are doing based on needs of the dog so they are fulfilled.
About: Ever since the family cat had kittens when I was four years old, I have been drawn to the care of animals. Honoring the lives of pets as our friends has been a source of inspiration and therapy for myself personally. As a working artist, taking the time to care for animals has been such a privilege and the perfect change of pace while I continue to work on creative projects. I have college classes in the afternoons but my mornings and nights are wide open on weekdays. As for weekends its just dependent on the day so I'll need advanced notice. About: I have had a variety of pets my entire life. Friends, neighbors and family have trusted me to take excellent care of their pets. I have gone to their home, they have come to my home and I have visited just to walk them. I love all animals and have learned over the years how to recognize their individual needs. We have four acres of land far from the road with a big back yard and lots of woods and play space. My groomer told me there is a need for pet care and I want more pets in my life, so this is perfect for me. I work closely with pet parents to make sure your pet has everything they need to feel right at home. We are outside a lot! I love to walk in all kinds of weather and I love to play outside whenever possible. In addition, I love farm animals too! Your pets are safe in my back yard. About: I'm a genuine dog lover! I've always trained my dogs on basic tricks and commands.I'm aware that dogs have their own personalities, fears, and strengths. I work part-time. I have a flexible schedule. I'm open to having dogs in my house throughout the week and some weekends, if needed, and also just walks. I don't have a fenced yard. Sunday bookings are restricted to things that *must* occur on that day in order for me to try to have some level of work life balance. I take utmost care to keep animals in my care safe and properly contained. I make sure to follow whatever rules and structures are in place for the animals to ensure their safety. Pets are always leashed inside before heading for a walk and the leash isn't unclipped until we are back inside with a closed door. I am vigilant in looking out for potential risks (e.g. other animals, cars, unsafe things they could eat, etc) and making sure to give them a wide berth. In my own home I have any small animals carefully segregated into rooms that predator animals don't go into. Anytime I leave the room, I do a check and verify that all predators are outside the door so nobody can get hurt. I monitor the dogs around the cats to make sure all interactions are safe. I have utlized crates and baby gates when necessary to keep animals safely contained and/or separated in the past. I am skilled at containing flight risk animals and watching out for their safety. I am also fully insured and bonded through Pet Sitters Associates (PSA).
