About: I raised, trained, and cared for my family dog from a puppy when I was in high school. Post college I adopted a senior dog and cared for him for the last couple of years of his life. In the meantime I have been a sitter for friends and family dogs and cats over the years. I am used to giving medications (even when it needs to be disguised) and staying on a feeding schedules. I am very up for caring for senior dogs who want to lay around the house, and equally ready to go on long walks with a dog with more energy. Natalie worked at a Humane Society in college, and Tim fostered dogs (and was a “failed foster” parent) for many years before we moved to Maine with our two doggies, Penny & Willa. I’ve personally helped raise 3 dogs and 2 cats. I’ve even helped herd sheep and tamed alpacas! I work nearly full-time as a server at a restaurant, so Wednesday to Saturday night I’m unavailable for somewhere between 6-9 hours on those days. When I have my off days I’m usually at home or out for a walk. I’m usually efficient with my errands and have extensive free time on off days. My apartment is a one bedroom, so if I’m not playing around the apartment with the pet, I’d want to bring them on a walk or to the park. I have a very comfortable bedroom conducive to nap time, and I live in the heart of Old Port. I try to make them feel like a proper guest in my home like anyone else. My apartment is always very quiet despite being downtown, but I would hope to find activities we could do in and around Portland to help keep them active and entertained.

It's not unusual for me to spend two weeks at a clients home to watch their dogs while they are on the road, vacation etc. I have experience with my own animals as well. About: Hi! We’re Natalie and Tim, and we have both had dogs our entire lives. Natalie worked at a Humane Society in college, and Tim fostered dogs (and was a “failed foster” parent) for many years before we moved to Maine with our two doggies, Penny & Willa. We spend lots of time taking our dogs and dogs who we sit for to local nature trails in Cumberland or enjoying fetch with the Chuck-It in our large backyard. Our home is kid-free, and we will treat your pups like our own! Tim works from home, and Natalie is a full-time graduate student with a flexible schedule. Your dogs will be home with either or both of us for the majority, if not the entire time! We have a large yard (1.5 acres) on a quiet street in a very dog-friendly neighborhood. Although our yard is not physically fenced, we do have an electric fence that could work for your dog if they are trained on this at your home! We are happy to crate your dogs - we’re even happy to have them in our bedroom and on the couch if they prefer!
