“I had to leave my dog Thenji with Adrienne and Nick at very short notice. They were able to take her. It was so reassuring to know that she was being so lovingly cared for!”

“Terri was the epitome of perfect. She was just what my pet Blossom needed. Attention, affection, love, she filled all of those things, and then some. She took many pictures kept us up-to-date, and eased my anxiety!!! I would use her again and again and again, top-notch for sure!!!”

“Chris and Gerry are so nice, loving, and kind. My girls felt at ease while staying with them. It helps that they only take one client at a time. If you are looking for someone to love your babies like their own, look no further. Definitely book with Chris and Gerry!”

“My pup Topaz had the best time with Ellen. Ellen took time with Topaz and made it fun for her. Since Topaz is a senior dog, she is very sensitive to her environment, and she fit in with the other dogs as well. I will be bringing her back on a regular basis now!”

“Michelle was AMAZING with my little girl! I felt completely at ease being away because she truly put her heart and soul into the visit. Will definitely be bringing my girl back for another stay as she had SO much fun and received SO much love!”

“Annette is the best! I actually hesitate to leave a review because I don't want all of her spaces to fill up! Your dog will be welcomed into the fold and Annette will ask you about - and then pay attention to - their needs. She has been fostering for so long, she has literally seen everything – and can deal with everything. Teddy had a great time, and I left with new insights into her behaviors. Annette is a gem.”

“Tyson was well taken care of while we were on vacation for a week. Renee sent me photos everyday showing how spoiled he was getting! He had an amazing time and was exhausted after I picked him up. Thank you!”

I’m home most days, so I have a flexible schedule and plenty of time for walks, playtime, feeding, and companionship. I’m available on weekdays and weekends and will do my best to accommodate your pet’s routine. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. “Casey was awesome with Coda! She had a great time hanging out and running around with her dog Jojo. She’s already been sleeping most of the day just from all the fun she had there.”

“Amazing!!! Samantha and her family watched our corgi, Momo, for two whole weeks. We got daily pictures and videos and updates, which we LOVED. She took great care of him and treated him like her own <3 He really fell in love with them (and with Winston, their friendly family dog). I’m not sure Momo wanted to come home hahaha. Best experience I could’ve asked for!”

“Dorian did a great job taking care of my fur baby. My dog is an older dachshund who is still energetic so I worry about him with sitters, but Dorian put my mind at ease by communicating with me well. From what I was told Obi had a great time playing with kids and taking lots of breaks that may or may not have included some mud baths lol. Thank you Dorian.”

“Rachel and Jason were wonderful with our new puppy. It was our first time leaving her overnight, and the videos and pictures were very reassuring. I know she was loved and well taken care of!”

“Sneha and Sudhindra did an outstanding job taking care of Trixie while we were out of town for a week. They provided excellent care and let Trixie snuggle with them, which made her feel right at home. Trixie also liked the company of their sweet dog, Boozoo. Sneha kept us updated with daily pictures, showing how much she cared for Trixie’s well-being. The experience was convenient and easy, and Trixie came back to us happy! I highly recommend Sneha and Sudhindra for anyone looking for a reliable and caring dog sitter.”

“Very good experience everytime with the sitter. They always send pictures and vedios and give all the updates. We know that our Shiner is always in good hands. We are very thankful.”

“Our dog loves staying with Nat and Ally! She has the best time running around with their dog and they take great care of her. Thrilled to book with them again and would/will do so again in a heartbeat!”

About: I’ve loved and cared for dogs for many years and currently have two senior dogs of my own, so I understand the patience, attention, and consistency pets need to feel comfortable and safe. I have experience with different personalities, energy levels, routines, and the extra care that comes with older dogs. I’m dependable, attentive, and will treat your pets and home with the same care and respect I give my own. I know how important it is to have someone you trust caring for your pets while you’re away, and I’ll make sure they receive plenty of attention, affection, and companionship. I currently have a flexible schedule, which allows me to give pets plenty of time, attention, and companionship throughout the day. I’m available for house sitting, drop-in visits, and walks on both weekdays and weekends. I’m happy to follow your pet’s usual routine as closely as possible, including feeding schedules, walks, playtime, and bedtime routines. Your pet’s safety and comfort are my top priorities. I carefully follow all instructions regarding feeding, medications, walks, routines, and household rules. I take time to learn each pet’s personality and respect their boundaries, especially with senior, shy, or anxious pets. When staying in a client’s home, I’m respectful of their space, keep the home secure, and provide regular updates so owners can feel comfortable while they’re away.

About: I recently lost my 14-year old bulldog and I am looking to reconnect with dogs before committing to another long term companion. I have experience with senior dog care, to include dogs with cancer and dementia. I work full-time from home. During the day, I would be able to offer 2 15 -minute bathroom visits/walks during my breaks from work. I also have flexibility when other needs arise. In the evenings, I am free to give your dog as much love and attention as they desire. I only accept 1 dog at a time (unless multiple dogs are from the same owner and the dogs are pair bonded). I was single handedly responsible for my own dog for 11 years before she died of old age, so I know what it takes to compassionately care for a dog. I have also watched my friends’ dogs and my parent’s dog for weeks at a time. Taking care of dogs is not a new experience for me. I work from home and have complete control over the flexibility of my schedule. I can take breaks from my work to attend to your dogs needs 2 times per day during my 15-minute breaks. I am free evenings. I can also use my breaks to give walks/pet stop-ins if within close proximity to my house. I am willing to take care of dogs who prefer free play in a fenced in yard or those that prefer longer leash walks or park outings. I have no problem with free roam in the house or crating, whichever fits best with the dog’s regular routine. I have a big fenced in back yard and live in a neighborhood with sidewalks and a park 1 block away. I also have a good relationship with a local vet in case of emergencies.
About: What sets me apart is the genuine compassionate care I bring to ensuring your pet feels completely safe, loved, and understood while you are away. I focus on creating a gentle, stress-free environment tailored entirely to your furry friends’ comforting daily routines. Beyond dogs and cats, I have specialized experience with the delicate needs of small animals like rabbits, and would be more than happy to care for pets of any size! I am a recent GW grad and I have a very flexible schedule. Aside from doing occasional tutoring sessions throughout the week, I am home for the majority of the day and have the time to dedicate myself to taking care of your furry friend! When caring for pets in their own space, my primary goal is to maintain their established routine exactly as they know it to minimize anxiety. When a pet stays with me, they are welcomed into a structured, highly supervised, and pet-safe environment designed to feel like a second home. I love all animals and want to make them feel safe in any environment!
About: I’ve cared for pets of all ages, sizes, and energy levels — from playful young labs and doodles to senior dogs and cats needing extra patience and attention. I’m naturally calm and gentle, but I also love matching a pet’s energy through play, walks, and engagement. As a dog owner myself, I understand how important trust and communication are, so I always make sure pets feel safe, loved, and comfortable while their owners are away. Since I’m home from college for the summer, I have a very open and flexible schedule that allows me to fully focus on pet care. I’m able to provide pets with lots of attention, companionship, exercise, and regular updates for owners throughout the day. I always make sure pets feel safe, comfortable, and cared for by sticking to their normal routines as closely as possible. Whether in my home or a client’s home, I provide plenty of attention, playtime, walks, feeding, and companionship while adapting to each pet’s personality and needs. I also provide regular updates and photos for owners while they’re away.
“The dogs had a wonderful time with Kacy. Kacy sent videos and pics of our puppies keeping us up to date the entire time. Communication is great and her and her husband are super nice. Will def. come back :):)”

“This is the second time Sophia has sat for my cat. We went away for a week and she smoothly navigated coming into our apartment, which is often difficult for people. I even texted her during our time away and requested that she helped give my cat his inhaler and she watched the video I sent and figured it out, giving him his inhaler daily. I am so grateful for Sophia! Thank you!”

About: I have raised my own dog since she was ten weeks old, mentored by my father who has raised three litters of puppies throughout his life. I have also done pet-sitting for friends and family for dogs as small as beagle puppies to as large as a Labrador. I am currently on summer break from graduate school, but I take five- mile walks every morning year-round. As my classes are in the evening, I can fit dog-walking into my schedule in the mornings and early afternoons. I am attentive and responsible for my pets needs, and take pride in ensuring that the animals I care for are happy and healthy. I have a nine-year-old mixed breed dog who enjoys her daily walks and sunbathing on the deck, but does not enjoy the company of other dogs very much.
“Valerie is the only rover sitter I've ever worked with and honestly I never want to switch to a new person. She is FANTASTIC! So patient with my very nervous pup and gives her love like she is her own. I wish I could give 10 stars!”

About: I have worked with pets since I started working at all. My first job was at a pet store, and since then I have years of experience working in San Diego as a vet assistant and a shelter animal tech at the local humane society. I also have my own wonderful pets and have tons of exotic pet experience as well as cats and dogs from my many jobs over the years. I was also a lab animal tech before too! I love animals of all shapes and sizes and would be happy to take care of yours. Currently I do not have another job and I only plan on going back to school later in the year so I have plenty of free time to care for your pets. I love walking dogs and caring for cats so much. I have walked many kinds of dogs of many different sizes and temperaments especially as an animal caretaker at the behavioral center in the San Diego humane society. Safety is important to me and I will make sure your pets are safe and well cared for.

“Misty and Fiona were a dream team. From the first meet and greet we knew we had found the purr-fect sitters for our "girls". Misty provided daily personal notes assuring us everything was going well and photos to make us smile. 😊 Fiona was awesome getting our shy girl to trust her enough to cuddle and snuggle and play. Our older cat warmed up to them quickly and enjoyed all of the attention. As I told Misty, this is the first time I went away and felt comfortable that our two girls were in safe and loving hands. We are already rebooking them for our next trip in November. We'd highly recommend them if you are looking for more than someone to feed and clean up after your pets.”

“Shelby was absolutely amazing. She always kept me completely up to date on what was going on with my pet and spent so much time with her and sent loads of pictures. She took so much care of my little girl. I would recommend her to anyone looking for anyone needing someone to look after their babies. I will definitely hire her again.”

“Ellie did a great job watching my 3 cats. She took the initiative to set up a meet and greet beforehand, and was very responsive, professional, and polite. When I returned from my weekend trip, it was clear that she had cleaned the litter box thoroughly each time she checked in. The cats were happy, healthy, and well taken care of. I would highly recommend her if you are in need of cat care.”
“Per usual, Sara was wonderful and very communicative while dropping in on our 3 cats for a couple of days. We know the house and animals are always in great hands with her!”

“Alexis was a great caregiver for my sweet, old cat. On the first day, when Kippy did not appear to get her food and meds, Alexis searched and found her hiding place, thus ensuring Kippy got what she needed that morning. Alexis’s kind and gentle demeanor soon made Kippy lose her fear and she began greeting Alexis at the door. I would definitely hope Alexis was available the next time I need Killy care.”

“Alex was so amazing with our three cats. She followed all of my instructions perfectly, gave them lots of love and attention, and was able to give my elderly cat her medicine. Alex sent updates and pictures throughout our trip. The kitties were all healthy and happy when we returned. We will definitely use Alex again!”

About: I have been raised around and caring for cats since I was a kid, which has helped me develop a lifetime of affection and gentle care for kitties of all kinds. I am dedicated to a truly attentive, comforting approach, whether that means allowing a shy cat to set the pace of our friendship, providing gentle companionship to a sweet senior, or administering medications to special needs cats with a calm, reassuring touch. To me, looking after your cat is a devoted partnership rooted in experience, warmth, and respect for their unique personality and routine.

“Rebecca was awesome! She showed up at the scheduled times and did exactly what we asked of her and she was very loving with our dog. Would use again and recommend you giving her a call for your pets !”

“Maegan was fantastic! She showed up on time, everytime which is far different than sitters we have had previously. She was great with our dogs and they seemed to have thoroughly enjoyed her visits! Strongly recommend her!”

“Miriam took great care of our cats and we appreciated all the photos and updates. She was very responsive and easy to book with, even though we requested last minute due to our pet sitter cancelling before our 2+ week trip.”

About: I grew up in a household with dogs. My dogs (and your dog) are part of my family. They are included in our routine. They are loved and well taken care. I am a stay at home mom. I can accommodate your dog’s need easily. Your dog will be loved and taken care as my own. Your dog must be kid and dog friendly. My children are taught to be respectful to all pets. My dog is neutered and friendly (and fully vaccinated). I take with my dog two long walks morning and evening but I also leave my dog in my yard some time during the day.
About: Animals have always been an important part of my life. Our family had a Black Lab growing up and as an adult I had a Miniature Pinscher for seven years who was deeply loved. We currently have a mixed rescue dog who joined our family about two years ago who has been a perfect addition to our family. Caring for my own dogs has taught me how important it is for pets to feel safe, comfortable and loved when their people are away. While I'm newer to pet sitting, I'm patient, dependable and genuinely enjoy spending time with animals. I understand that every pet has their own personality, routines and needs, and I take the time to get to know them and help them feel at ease. My goal is to provide the same level of care, attention, and affection that I would want for my own dog. I work from home as a mental health therapist so home throughout the day and provide regular attention, potty breaks and companionship. On Mondays I work in the office from 9am to 3pm although during the summer my husband is home during that time. Between sessions, I can take dogs outside to play, explore, and get exercise in our large yard on 1.14 acres of property. My flexible schedule allows me to check on pets frequently and maintain their normal routines as much as possible. Evenings and weekends are generally spent at home with my family and our. When pets stay in my home, I treat them like part of the family while following their usual routines as closely as possible. I have a large, fenced-in yard where dogs can safely play, explore, and get exercise. We also have a friendly, well-socialized dog who enjoys having company. I understand that every pet has different needs and comfort levels, so I take the time to learn about their routines, feeding schedules, exercise needs, and preferences. If your dog is crate-trained, I can easily accommodate crating when needed. I'm also happy to provide regular updates and photos so you can see how your pet is doing throughout their stay.

About: I have taken care of dogs for as long as I can remember. I grew up with childhood dogs (Lab and a Scottish Terrier) and love all animals! I'm the go-to dog sitter for both family and neighbors as we have lots of extra room in our house and hearts, along with a fenced in yard. I can't wait to treat your baby like my own! My husband works from home and can let your fur baby outside as needed and keep them company. I love to cater to your dogs needs! Whether that's a game of fetch in the back yard, going for a long walk, meeting new friends at my neighborhood dog park, or hanging out on the couch, I'm just happy to have them around! About: my goal is to provide the best pet, dog and cat sitting service. Read on for how I set out to be that special caregiver for your pets. I came to pets and pet sitting “later in life,” and discovered, with great gratitude, a passion and a gift for taking care of your precious animal companions… because that is what they are, for you and for me. I’m not a casual caregiver, or a friend; I’m not walking your dog or feeding your cat or talking to your bird as a favor to you or as a part-time job or hobby. Nor am I in a hurry to get out of your home, or to ‘fit you in’ between errands. My total focus is your two most precious possessions: Your pets and your property…all day long, usually 7 days a week! I’m a full-time professional pet sitter, dedicated to the loving details of caring for your cats, dogs, birds and even chickens! I believe that pets should be as happy with a sitter as they are when their owners are at home (or close to it!). As one Asheville cat owner put it: “I enjoy your notes immensely. I feel like you know my cats as well as I do after a few short days.”
About: Responsible and caring dog lover with years of experience providing reliable walking and sitting services. I treat every pet with patience, respect, and genuine affection, ensuring they feel safe and happy while you're away. Known for clear communication and dependable care, I'm committed to making each visit a positive experience for both pets and owners. I work part-time, which gives me the flexibility to provide reliable and attentive pet care throughout the week. I genuinely enjoy taking care of other people's pets and treat every animal with the same care I give my own. Your pet's safety, comfort, and happiness are always my top priorities. I provide a calm, clean, and loving environment where pets can feel relaxed and cared for while you're away. I carefully follow each pet's routine, including feeding schedules, walks, medications (if needed), and any special instructions you provide. I understand how important trust is when someone else is caring for your furry family member. I believe in keeping pet parents informed with regular updates and photos, so you can have peace of mind knowing your pet is in caring and responsible hands.
“Sneha was great! This was my first time trying out this app and she made the process easy. I was in a pinch and had reached out for daycare the day before I needed a sitter and she responded quickly. We had a meet and greet the same day. She sent frequent updates and was constantly in touch. I would definitely let my pup stay with her again!”

“My dog had a great time! Came home tired and exhausted, slept all night! I received status updates during the day that Made me feel super comfortable. Would definitely rip recommend!”

“Rebecca's has been wonderful with our Baby Girl. I have never left Baby Girl with anyone due to her high level of separation anxiety but we are in Maryland for my husband's 50th High School Reunion so we didn't have a choice. I'm so glad that I chose Rebecca because she has been amazing. Baby Girl has had a good time at her house and went with Rebecca willingly Friday (her first day in doggy day care) which I knew Baby Girl sensed that Rebecca loved dogs and that she was safe with her sitter. Thank you Rebecca for putting us at ease and knowing that our fur baby is in good hands! I would highly recommend Rebecca and if the opportunity arises to book with Rebecca again we definitely will!”

“Maegan did a great job with our dogs! It was comforting to know they were being loved on and walked while we attended an out of town event. We will definitely be rebooking with her in the future.”

About: As the go-to person for friends in need of dog-sitting, I recently figured "Why not expand?", hence my decision to register with Rover. Setting dogs and their people at ease brings me joy! I've had two dogs over the past 20 years: one slightly demonic and requiring special precautions, and the other a big, gentle galoot. Both absolutely stole my heart. I work from home and am available for walking (give me allll the exercise) and sitting (give me allll the cuddles). I work from home with a very flexible schedule, so I'm around to give attention as needed, 7 days/week. I'm an early riser (6:30 give or take), so early walks or breakfasts would be no problem. I have a fenced yard that would be secure for all but the most accomplished escape artists. Your pet would have full access to all parts of the house (including furniture). That said, if crating, furniture restrictions, etc. work better for you and your dog, I would happily honor your typical rules and routines.
“Misty is fantastic. Caring about your pup…treats like her own. On time, just wonderful to work with, and my dog never looked back as he went out the door. Instantly knew he was loved.”

About: My experience and education ensures the safety of animals of varying temperament levels and backgrounds. I enjoy the process of building trust and confidence with animals through approved training methods/mental enrichment activities and using non verbal cues in a playful and meaningful way. Because I don't own any pets of my own I'm able to assist pet owners when they're away from home. I often accept requests up to 3 months ahead of time but, if possible, I will accept same day requests. Many clients value how I communicate and ask if I'm a trainer (I'm not certified yet) because I handle animals so well. You can expect detailed observational updates twice a day accompanied with photos and videos.
“Lauren was a pleasure to work with and having her help was greatly appreciated and our pups enjoyed her visiting ! She's very responsive and takes in feedback very well! I would recommend her to others.”

About: 🐾 About Me Hi there! I’m Kiara — a lifelong animal lover with over 14 years of experience caring for dogs of all breeds, ages, and personalities. From tiny, timid pups to big, energetic adventurers, I’ve learned that every dog has their own unique way of showing love — and I adore getting to know each one. Over the years, I’ve cared for pets through professional services, friends, and families, providing everything from daily walks and cuddle time to medication administration and overnight stays. My priority is always to make your pets feel safe, loved, and right at home while you’re away. 🐶 What You Can Expect • Reliable, communicative, and attentive care • Plenty of photo updates so you can relax while you’re away • A calm, loving environment with playtime, snuggles, and routine care • Experience with senior dogs and pets who need medication Whether your pup loves a long walk, a cozy nap, or just someone to keep them company, I’m here to give them the same love and attention I’d want for my own fur babies. Can’t wait to meet your four-legged family member! 💕 I’m currently focusing on school, because of that I have a very flexible schedule which gives me a bit of extra time to take care of your pets weather is at your home or overnight at mines. I always ask the pet owners what is their daily routine with their fur babies and I will of course continue on with that same daily routine in my own home. I have a small dog and cat who love to cuddle and play! Your fur babies won’t be bored one bit!
“Incredible service. So caring and wonderful with my two dogs. So disappointed she is moving out of my area and cannot use her services. Don’t hesitate to book Alexis. Great communication and pictures.”

“Valerie is phenomenal and took our pup on some super fun walks. She communicated throughout the walk and sent adorable photos. We will absolutely be reaching out to her again for future walks!”

“She was absolutely amazing! We truly loved working with her. She sent us so many photos of our dog and was always on time! I definitely recommend hiring her. You won’t regret it :)”

“Jessie has been wonderful with our pup Sadie. She is a great communicator and texts updates if there are any changes to the schedule. It’s fun to see all the pictures she adds to the daily report. We appreciate all she does for Sadie.”

“Rebecca was amazing with my girl, Hallie! I can tell Hallie enjoyed their time together, she looked so happy in the pics I received. Rebecca is a true animal whisperer. Thank you Rebecca for being so good to Hallie (and for spoiling her with her favorite treats)! Absolutely recommend booking with Rebecca!”

“Nancy is fantastic. She takes my dog for a walk multiple times a week. She's very reliable and gives me feedback on my pet after each walk. She's on time and keeps my mind at ease to focus on work when I'm at work. Nancy and my dog really seem to enjoy their time together each day. I would definitely recommend Nancy to anyone needing a kind and responsible person to care for their pet.”

“Terri was the epitome of perfect. She was just what my pet Blossom needed. Attention, affection, love, she filled all of those things, and then some. She took many pictures kept us up-to-date, and eased my anxiety!!! I would use her again and again and again, top-notch for sure!!!”

“My pup Topaz had the best time with Ellen. Ellen took time with Topaz and made it fun for her. Since Topaz is a senior dog, she is very sensitive to her environment, and she fit in with the other dogs as well. I will be bringing her back on a regular basis now!”

Thank you!”

“Kathy was wonderful and sent daily updates. Our dog has never been with a stranger during a vacation so we were nervous but she had our mind at ease the whole time. We did a meet and greet and she was welcoming and great with the dog. Everything went smoothly and we couldn’t be happier.”

“Marieliz and her family took great care of our dog! So many amazing photos and videos throughout his stay. They played with him a bunch and he clearly felt at home right away. Thank you so much!”

“I can’t tell you how amazing Linda is. She has so much love and compassion for the animals she watches. Tons of updates and pictures during the stay. She even went above and beyond to make a trip to our veterinarian to pick up meds for our dog. I highly recommend her services”

“Jennifer is 100% a dog person! Very warm yet very professional. We didn’t a meet and greet and she had a checklist ready to go over everything. She has spare bowls and toys. She took great care of my Odie! Even though she has a fenced in yard she still took him for walks. I got lots of pictures during his stay. Odie did have an incident and Jennifer handled my pup with the utmost care and was very friendly and professional while we worked it out. Even if Odie’s not welcome back I would still 100% recommends her. Anyone can do a job when everything goes right. It takes someone special to handle when things go wrong. 10/10!”

“Karen was extremely nice, very welcoming of our pup Milo! she kept me updated with videos and pics which really showed how happy and safe Milo was! I really recommend her and will definitely keep booking with her in a future😊😊”

“Nancy was so great & took such good care of our dog, Buddy. She took him for several walks/gave him plenty of exercise, gave cuddles, and updated us often of how everything was going. Her communication made our time away less stressful because we didn’t have to worry about how Buddy was doing. We would definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a reliable, trustworthy & caring person to look after their dog.”
