Heather D graciously shared photos of Tucker having the time of his life. Tucker is a friendly dog and gets along with all animals he encounters so we were thrilled he’d have playmates with our visiting dogs. Fantastic photo moments of him running and playing with other dogs and some of the quieter moments like sitting on the couch watching TV with Heather D’s family. I have two cats that I rescued from my local shelter, they were the most difficult to place because of prior abuse before coming to the shelter. About: Having the background of being raised on a farm has given me an innate love for animals. I have become a go to person for my friends and family in the city with not only dogs, but farm animals as well (cows, goats, pigs, chickens, rabbits etc.). I have experience with injured and ill animals as well in care taking. I am able to follow dietary restrictions and diets in general as well. Pets, cuddles and walks are no problem of course! :) I currently work from home (Thurmont, M-F 8-5) so I am very flexible with me being in home for either a whole work day, half day or drop ins (if close by). Right now I work part-time at a bakery on Sundays, and I am also a full-time college student! Thankfully, my schedule is very flexible and my attention will solely be on your furry friends. I always make sure to keep my client's homes clean and organized, and pay special attention to any extra tasks I'm giving, such as watering plants (I have dozens of plant babies!), changing the temperature, emptying dehumidifiers, and retrieving packages. Anything you need, I will do to the best of my abilities! I like to update my clients daily on their pets to ease their mind.

Heather D graciously shared photos of Tucker having the time of his life. Tucker is a friendly dog and gets along with all animals he encounters so we were thrilled he’d have playmates with our visiting dogs. Fantastic photo moments of him running and playing with other dogs and some of the quieter moments like sitting on the couch watching TV with Heather D’s family. Her property was safe and clean and truly ideal for what she provides for boarding. I’d highly recommend Heather D and Tucker looks forward to spending time there again! 5 stars :)”

About: For as long as I can remember, dogs have been a huge part of my life. With over 15 years of hands-on experience caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds, and personalities, I’ve learned that every pup is different and deserves care that’s just as unique as they are. For the past 7+ years, I’ve also been fostering dogs through local rescues. Helping dogs transition from uncertain beginnings into loving homes has been incredibly rewarding and has given me experience with many different temperaments, energy levels, and personalities. The idea of boarding dogs in my home came from a challenge I faced myself — finding a place that truly felt safe, loving, and comfortable for my own dogs when I had to go away. I wanted more than just a place for them to stay. I wanted them to feel cared for, understood, and treated like family. When your dog stays with me they will enjoy plenty of safe, supervised playtime in a large, fully fenced yard, giving them space to run, explore, and burn off those zoomies. Whether your dog loves active play or relaxing cuddle time, their comfort, safety, and happiness always come first. Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. We’re used to having dogs around and all the activity and responsibility that comes with them, so caring for pets feels like a normal part of everyday life. When we don’t have any extras here, the house actually feels a little too quiet—like something is missing! I want every pet in my home to feel as comfortable and at home as possible. I try to keep their routine and familiar comforts as much as I can—if they sleep in the bed at home, they’re welcome in the bed here; if they love curling up on the couch, that’s where they’ll be. My goal is to make their stay feel like a vacation, not a kennel stay. I want them to feel safe, relaxed, loved, and right at home while their family is away.
