I currently work 6am-2:30pm Monday-Friday. But I can do walks anytime outside of those hours. I own a 5 year old golden retriever and your dog can join us on the many walks we take! If your dog prefers a solo walk, I am a very active person so I have no issue providing them that 1:1 attention! I am experienced with medication administration as well as dogs with special needs. Your pup will get all the cuddles, pets, and walks that he or she desires. I work full time from home, so I am available most week days for walks and playtime. I am able to provide boarding services during the week and weekend. I have a 5 year old golden retriever who loves to make new friends. My yard is not fenced but I am able to take pups for many walks. Dogs are free to play inside my home. I am home most of time during the work day and have a crate available if need be.

About: I have taken care of animals for a job (specifically dogs) since I was 14 years old. I have had multiple dogs throughout my life with my family, and we have fostered senior dogs all the way to puppies. I have had time in shelters with dogs as well. I have experience with simple “check ins”, to swimming with dogs, taking them on a short walk all the way to multi mile hikes, and also staying overnight/full time at the house with them. I have experience giving medication as well, and following strict diet orders. You name it - I have experience! I am currently working part time, mostly in evenings, with a short hourly schedule - so lots of time (especially in mornings and days) to hang with the dogs! I I think that dogs and pets are our family. They should be treated with respect, love, and kindness. Whatever their needs may be - I am all for making them comfortable and feeling loved. I am comfortable with dogs sleeping in human bed, dog bed, or crate.

About: I have owned dogs all my life all shapes and sizes. I have been trained and volunteer for MDSPCA and the Baltimore Humane Society. I believe it’s important that all dog’s feel loved and taken care of and are as much a family member as anyone else. I know how important interactive play is and enrichment. He was very comfortable with them and when we picked him up, he acted the same as the dog we had left. (we had previous experiences where he was skittish for a few days after staying with a previous dog sitter) Jim and Mary treated our Camden as if he were their dog. “Amazing sitter for my German Shepherd! I can’t say enough good things about Shakiyla! She watched my German Shepherd, Bucky, for 4 days and took such amazing care of him. Bucky can be a handful with his high energy and anxiety, but she handled him so well. At the last minute, we also asked if she could watch my mom’s dog, Kandi (a Husky/Shepherd mix), and she was more than willing. She cared for Kandi just as wonderfully, making sure her needs were met too. What really impressed me was her communication—she even put me, my mom, and my husband in a group chat so we all stayed updated. That way, if she couldn’t reach one of us, she could easily contact someone else. She went above and beyond by sending daily videos and pictures, which really put me at ease while I was away. On top of that, she shared some really helpful suggestions for Bucky that showed she genuinely cared about his well-being. I am so grateful to have found her, and I plan to book with her every time I need someone to look after Bucky. She’s the best!”
