“My lhasa apso is very attached to us and shows high anxiety when a family member is not around, even to the point of vomiting when my daughter went away on a trip in June. I was very nervous about leaving him during our family vacation, but Sarah and her family went above and beyond to make sure that Oliver was comfortable. He received lots of belly rubs and attention, went on nice walks and trips to the dog park, and became BFF's with Jack, their beagle. Sarah sent numerous pictures at least twice a day, and my favorites were of Oliver and Jack snuggling together. Seeing this pictures greatly helped my own anxiety at being so far away from my fur baby. Sarah also gave updates. Her family just really seemed to understand dogs. She was not upset when Oliver had "marked a piece of furniture" but was totally cool about it; similarly, when I warned her that Oliver is prone to throwing up when away from his family, her response was, "we have hardwood floors so it's easy to clean up." Oliver had a wonderful experience with Sarah, Jack, and the rest of the family, and I recommend her for anyone and especially those with anxious pups.”

About: I’ve been around dogs my entire life and have always loved caring for them. I grew up with two dogs: a 12 year old Golden Doodle and a 4 year old Cavapoo, so I’m very familiar with both senior dogs and younger, energetic pups. While they are my family dogs and not currently living with me, I’ve been involved in their care my entire life, handling walks and daily responsibilities, especially when my parents were at work and I took on most of their care. I’m comfortable with walks, feedings, playtime, and making sure dogs feel safe, happy, and well cared for. I treat every dog like my own and enjoy getting to know their personalities! I work in the office Monday through Wednesday from 9:00–4:30, so my availability is a bit more limited during those days. However, I’m available during evenings on those days for walks or drop-ins. About: I’ve had cats since I was 7 years old, and now being 23 I’ve had years and years of experience with taking care of them. Family members and friends always reach out to me to take care of pets while they’re away, and I love getting to be with their animals as well as my own every day. I’ve fed, walked, and played with dogs of all sizes and I’m willing to do any extra care a dog may need as well. I’ve fed, played with, cleaned the litter boxes of, bathed, and taken care of sick cats many times, and I am of course willing to do any extra care. I have administered medication in the form of pills, liquid, and injections to cats as well as in the form of pills to dogs. I have given my own cats eye drops and ear drops when they were sick as well. Even though I do not have dogs myself, I have had a lot of experience walking dogs of different ages, sizes, temperaments, and energy levels as well as caring for them full time while their owners are away. I am available most mornings and evenings (and possibly mid day) and will be as flexible as I can to work with you and your pet’s schedule! I love to play with the pets I take care of after I am sure to do everything the owners requested me to do such as feeding, walking, cleaning, or anything else that may be needed. I know that pets have a hard time being away from their owners (mine always do) and that a little extra love and fun with the person taking care of them will always make them feel better. I want pets to trust me and see me as another figure who cares for them and makes them happy.
About: Hi! My name is Emma and I recently moved to Baltimore after living in DC for 7 years. In college, my room mate and I adopted a spunky, blind 10 year old pug. She passed away after a fun 3 years together. In August 2020, my husband and I got a puppy, Lily, who is my best friend! I just graduated with my masters and am in between jobs, so I have open availability during the week and some weekends to drop in on your pet/take them for a walk. I have taken care of large and small dogs and cats all my life, some old and with disabilities. I am dependable, kind, and will love your pet almost as much as you do :) I can travel around Baltimore and have a car! Let me know what your pet likes to do and I'll be sure to incorporate that into their care routine (walks, throwing the ball, or just some quality cuddling time).
